Second Chance with Her SEAL Page 7

by Gillian Blakely

For a moment she had the good sense to be a little terrified of him. Once again, she thought of the fact that she'd not seen him for fifteen years. And he was so big. So, so big. Powerful.

All her workouts at the gym didn't mean squat next to the strength coiled in those biceps.

He ripped open a packet and then rolled a condom down that magnificent shaft. Unable to help herself, she licked her lips.

She might not have seen him in forever, but she trusted him.

  Her body trusted him.

That much was patently clear by the aching nipples and moisture dripping unashamedly on his bedding.

He stalked her with his eyes as he moved back to the bed.

A fresh wave of heat crashed over her skin.

He knelt between her thighs and guided his cock between her lower lips. She watched with fascination as this big, beautiful man, a man who'd once been her very best friend, concentrated on her. On her pleasure.

A few taps against her clit with the heavy head of his cock got her attention. She gasped, and he lined up the tip.

As he started to slide home, he leaned over and sucked her left nipple into his mouth. Instinctively, her arms tried to close around him. She wanted to hold him, touch him, guide him closer.

  “David—”

His eyes opened but he didn't let her breast slip from his lips.

“My hands. I need to touch you.”

As easy as you please, he reached above her head and undid the knot. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and he sank deeper. Her body stretched to accommodate his girth and a second later he groaned.

  Paradise.

His heat, the zesty scent of his soap wrapped around her and she sighed. For the first time in her life, she didn't even need a climax to be happy. Somehow, feeling his weight pressing her into the mattress, the feel of his thick cock filling her so completely, it was all so...

  That was it.

  She was complete.

For the first time in her thirty-three years, she felt whole.

  “What's wrong?”

His deep voice startled her from her thoughts and she found him braced on his elbows, staring down at her. Concern etched between his brows. She reached up to sooth it.

“Not a thing in the world.”

She'd never been more serious in her life.

  “Good.”

He ducked his head and claimed her in the sweetest kiss. The sweetness quickly gave way to passion and he thrust his hips against her pelvis, driving his cock— deep. He hit something inside her and she gasped into his mouth.

  “Did I hurt you?”

His concern was swift, and he pulled out.

“Startled me. Told you I didn't think you'd fit.”

Laughing, he shoved a hand beneath her ass and then rolled. The next thing she knew, she was on top of him, his cock shoved so deep she had to brace her hands against his chest and catch her breath.

  “You're in charge.”

Three little words. Not the three words she'd longed to hear from him as a love-sick teenager, but three words that never the less meant the absolute world to her.

That he'd let her guide their love making, that he knew, once again just what she needed.

It shouldn't have surprised her that David would be so thoughtful. But then everything about this evening had been a surprise.

Knees bracketed around his lean hips, she lifted herself off his lap.

His hands coasted up her thighs, not rushing necessarily. Supporting. That was him to a T.

With her hands still splayed across his magnificent abs, she picked up the pace. Eyes locked with his, she found a rhythm that left them both breathless. Each slow glide down was followed by a quick lift-off. Before she knew it, they were rocking against each other, together.

Sabrina didn’t have to ask if he was enjoying himself. She could see the pleasure in his eyes, the set of his jaw, feel it in the way he closed his hands around her waist.

She liked that he didn’t rush her, simply enjoyed the ride. With every meeting of their hips, she fell further under his spell.

  She lost herself.

Luckily, he was great at picking up the pieces.

When a fine layer of sweat covered their bodies, she was ready for that final leap. And this time, she wasn’t going to let him back away.

Sliding her hands up his chest, she enjoyed the way the coarse hairs tickled her skin. Their position made it hard to keep the pace, but his hips lifted, and he didn’t miss a beat.

Tangling a hand in her hair, he held her where he wanted her, driving himself deep. Sabrina kissed his lips, loving the feel of him between her thighs. He was everything she’d ever wanted.

Intuitive in a way she hadn’t known a man could be and holy hell could he kiss.

She nipped his lower lip and an honest-to-God growl rumbled from his chest, through her nipples, into her heart. She licked and sucked to sooth the ache but that only made him growl deeper.

His hands clamped over her hips and he picked the pace up another notch until their bodies were slamming against each other. Flesh against flesh.

Sabrina flattened herself against his chest and accepted his rutting cock. The position drove his body against her clit and she lost her mind.

Pleasure so intense she thought her head would explode poured through her. Over her. Lit her from the inside out. Somewhere, far off, she heard the sounds of their pleasure. What sounded like a feminine cry and a guttural groan.

Over and over, higher and higher. So hot. So, so hot. So strong.

  “Come with me.”

His whisper was dark and needy but so damned sweet. The words ignited her, and she blew apart in his arms.

David’s body went stiff as a board beneath hers and his arms locked around her like a vice.

He made another sound that sounded vaguely like English, spoken through the mists of pleasure.

“Holy fuck,” he uttered, letting his head drop back.

She collapsed against his chest, thoroughly spent.

  “Well said.”

Their ribs brushed against each other as they fought for air. To say she was delirious with pleasure was an understatement.

She found the energy to place a kiss between his pecks. Propping her chin there, she looked up at him.

“When can we do that again?”

The laugh that she knew so well and loved so much filled the air.

David's watch beeped at seven every morning. This morning was no different. It was his signal to head out the door. Ordinarily he'd have been up, had a cup of coffee, done his hundred pushups and sit ups, and showered by now.

  Not today.

Not with Sabrina Duncan tangled around him like spaghetti on a fork.

Not with her naked breasts pressed against his side and her sweet breath caressing his ear.

Last night had been amazing and he'd laid awake since their last tryst, trying to figure out why his chest felt like it was going to explode.

He was only 34 and he ran at least ten miles a week, despite his knees' protests. That was in shape, right? This couldn't be a heart attack.

A phone started ringing in the other room.

  He ignored it.

Wasn't his ringtone and he wasn't about to wake the sleeping beauty in his arms.

  Man, he was fucked.

  Literally and figuratively.

  His lips twitched.

Sabrina stirred, and he held his breath. Despite his earlier misgivings, he wasn't ready for her to leave yet.

That told him just how deep he'd gotten in a little less than twelve hours.

If he wasn't ready to let her go but didn't exactly want her to stay, where did that leave them?

  The phone fell silent.

He breathed a sigh of relief.

Basically, he had until she woke up to figure out what to do. For a man who could plan a mission that would get his team in and out of some of the more remote areas of the
planet with their asses intact, he sure was having a hard time of it this morning.

Maybe he should start with a fresh pot of coffee.

They still needed to talk. He still had questions for her. And he wanted to hear more about her life since she'd left Brunswick.

The phone rang again and this time, Sabrina bolted upright. She would have fallen out of the bed if he hadn't caught her arm.

  “What time is it?”

“Seven.” Her question was like ice water. “You got somewhere to be?”

  Someone to see?

Her gaze swerved down to his. She blinked and then a slow smile stretched her lips. “No.”

She sank down into his arms again.

The phone trilled again, and her head swiveled toward the door.

  “Is that mine?”

“Evidently. Not my ringtone,” he said of the happy tune.

  “Oh. Right.” She laughed softly.

Damn, she was cute. Tousled, sleep deprived (he mentally high-fived himself for that), well loved. High five for that too.

“So...” she let the words trail off as she settled a hand over his heart and then plopped her chin on it.

  “So.”

Warning sirens went off in his head. Last night had been nothing short of amazing but he didn't do relationships. He didn't do marriage or girlfriends or steady or kids or family or happily ever after.

“What are your plans for this beautiful Saturday?”

Her phone saved him from having to formulate an answer that basically said, 'unless you want to fuck until dark, I'm unavailable.'

She hopped out of bed and zoomed down the hall like a mountain lion was on her tail. And what a hot tail it was. He'd fucked her from behind around three am and that gorgeous heart shaped tush would be permanently burned into his brain.

  “Dang-it.”

  He sat up. “What's wrong?”

“I've got half a dozen calls.”

When she came back into the room with her shirt, she had her phone pressed between her cheek and shoulder. Her frown deepened.

“Aw, man.” She tossed the phone on the bed and jerked her shirt over her head. Then she searched the floor and stepped into her pants.

He loved that she didn't even bother with undergarments. He'd be daydreaming about the lack of panties for the rest of the day.

“Everything okay?” he asked as she ran back down the hall.

This time she returned with her shoes. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she shoved them on her feet.

“Eh, okay is a relative term. The mail truck that one of my orders was on got smashed to bits and with it all the table cards, menus, the whole set, basically.” She clasped her cheeks between her hands for just a moment. “For a wedding that's happening a week from today. If I want to get replacements done and out the door in time, I've gotta go.”

With her bra, panties, and phone bundled into a little ball, she turned to him.

For a moment she seemed at a loss for words, but then her smile reappeared and he felt like the sun was shining on him. He wanted to ask when he could see her again but stopped himself.

Sure, he wanted a replay of last night, but he wanted answers too. Answers meant talking and talking meant conversing and that would lead to emotion. Emotion he didn't want in his life. Especially not paired with such amazing sex.

Why couldn't she have been some random woman he'd never met before last night?

And why did she have to be so damned good in bed, so in tune with him?

She settled on the edge of the bed and leaned over. “Last night was amazing. Best ever.”

Without giving him a chance to respond, she dropped a sweet kiss on his lips and then darted for the door.

“Told you I'd fit,” he called after her and was rewarded with her laugh.

He heard the door shut and then her car start. Gravel crunched beneath the tires and the sound of her engine faded.

David threw an arm over his eyes and sighed.

  What the hell?

What was he going to do now?

Now that he knew she existed? Now that he knew she was alive and well and drop dead gorgeous and basically all his fantasies come to life? How was he supposed to forget what her lips tasted like and the feel of her sweet heat wrapped around him?

He was going to have to find a way, because as much as he wanted to have his way with her again, he couldn't. That'd be the dumbest thing he could do.

Knowing what he knew. Knowing how well they fit together.

And it wasn't just how perfectly her breasts filled his hands or how seamlessly her lips fit against his, it was how easy it was to laugh with her. She understood him. She just...fit.

A week after her amazing night in David’s arms, Sabrina found herself in line with Jill and Reya. The city’s biggest haunted house, Mania, loomed in the background. All shapes and sizes of creatures lurked, offering a little pre-event scare or photo op.

“They seem really into each other,” Reya murmured, her gaze fixed on Layla and her latest fling, Jamie. The love birds were wrapped in each other, whispering and laughing.

“She’s been talking about him non-stop all week,” Sabrina replied. It was good to see her partner so happy. However, she wouldn’t hold her breath. Layla seemed to like the idea of falling in love more than being in a relationship. Sabrina was ready for both.

Pulling up the rear of their group, Baby and Joe were chatting with JJ Wyatt, who was solo for the evening. Thank goodness the autumn weather was pleasant because the line moved forward at a crawl. The place really should invest in online ticket sales.

“How about you? Any progress in the romance department?” Jill asked softly.

“We’ll see.” She wasn’t trying to be cagey.

Sabrina scanned the crowd for a towering man who’d give a linebacker a run for his money. Jill had assured her that David, er, Boomer, would be joining them.

Though she’d played it cool, it had nearly killed her to stay away from him. Luckily, she’d been nose-deep in work thanks to that USPS accident. Staying afloat had been her top priority but having to redo half of an order was a tremendous amount of work. Especially on such a short time frame. She and Layla both had put in a lot of extra hours.

She’d tried not to let the doubts sink in since she’d spent that glorious night in his arms.

Beneath him. On top of him. Against the bathroom door.

He hadn’t called. Surely, he knew he could ask Teo or Jill for Sabrina’s number.

She worried her lower lip and took a step forward as the line moved like cold molasses through a labyrinth of ropes. Maybe he hadn’t been as blown away by their encounter as she was.

  Or maybe he didn’t—

The hair on the back of her neck stood up and she turned to survey the crowd. Three tall, dark, and very handsome men strode across the gravel parking lot.

Sabrina’s body went on red alert. Shoulder to shoulder, they moved smoothly, backlit by a billboard, emerging from a cloud of dust.

Heat raced over her shoulders, swirling downward around her breasts before sliding down into her belly. David’s eyes latched onto hers and her breathing shallowed. The dark sports jacket clinging to his muscular torso looked tailor made. Jeans clung to his thighs and black boots ate up the distance between them.

  Gracious, he was gorgeous.

His beard was a little longer than it had been a week ago, but the predatory gleam in his dark eyes was just the same. Her body softened at the sight of him, preparing for whatever he might have in mind.

  Reya sighed and Jill giggled.

“I’d say our friend has definitely caught someone’s eye,” Reya murmured.

“I’ll never get tired of seeing that look in a man’s eye,” Jill added.

Sabrina dared a glance at the two women. Their gaze darted from her to David and back.

“I feel like we need to give them a cigarette and make ourselves scarce,” Baby said beneath her brea
th and fanned her cheeks.

Joe picked that moment to sweep in and steal her away. A second later, three sets of boots stopped to their right. Reya stepped into Dylan’s arms. Teo reached for Jill.

Sabrina’s stomach tied itself into knots. She’d been waiting for this reunion, perhaps more than anything in her life.

She’d learned to make her own success, to take charge when need be. It wasn’t like her to sit around and wait on a man to ask her out. If Ethan had taught her anything, it was to take life by the horns.

And David Jameson, well, she definitely wanted to grab ahold of him and hold on tight. This was her second chance.

In her fantasy, he swept her into his arms.

But in reality, he nodded at her.

“Come on lady, you’re holdin’ up the line,” a voice said from behind her.

She spun around to see a scrawny looking guy in a hoodie. He had his arm slung over a girl with spiky orange hair and he looked really proud of himself.

Sabrina opened her mouth to apologize but she felt David step closer. She glanced up to find him staring down at the kid. He didn’t say a word. Didn’t have to. All six feet plus of him was hard as a rock and danger rolled off him in waves.

The kid audibly gulped. Both hands came up in a placating gesture and he tripped over himself to apologize. When David didn’t move and didn’t say a word, the younger couple took a step back, then another.

Sabrina laughed softly and put a hand on David’s arm.

He turned, slid a palm to the small of her back and propelled her forward. They caught up with their friends and she turned to look up at him, trying to read his thoughts. The man had a stone-cold poker face.

  “Hi.”

  “Hi.”

  “How’ve you been?”

  “Fine.”

She waited for him to ask how she’d been, but he remained silent.

“You didn’t have to scare the hell outta that kid,” she told him a minute later. Not that it hadn’t been a little funny to see the cocky teen practically swallow his tongue.

“Sure I did. Little fuck isn’t an alpha.”

  “And you are?”

  He nodded.
