PARTY!
Dear Diary,
The first month of middle school is over! It seems like it lasted forever. I need something to celebrate...I needed to party, which is exactly what I did today! I invited all of my friends to meet me at the park: Snow, Will, Grunt, and Tibby all showed up. Tibby even brought an extra friend to join us. I think his name is Cranium. I didn’t really talk to him much, but he seemed like a cool guy. I think there’s something weird going on between Tibby and Cranium. That’s not important right now, though.
What is important? The party! Like any cool middle school kid party, our party mostly consisted of the six of us standing around in the circle, talking about what shows we liked on TV, and eating more junk food than we probably should have. It was a pretty tame party, but I also can’t really think of a better way to end the first month of middle school.
There’s a teacher in-service tomorrow, so I don’t have to go to school, which will give me some extra time to write. I’m not sure what to write about. I’m running out of paper in this diary, so I’ll probably have to start a new one for next month. Of course, I’ll make sure to put one last cool entry in this one, but I’ll do that tomorrow. Right now, I’ve got a party to get back to.
Day Thirty: What Next?
Dear Diary,
There’s only really one thing that’s going through my mind right now, and that question is, what’s going to happen next? I mean, I know that I survived my first month of middle school, but how am I supposed to know what the second month of middle school is going to be like.
I know that some things are going to change. My English teacher, Mrs. Bonnes, is going to have a baby, so she’s not going to be at school at all next month. I heard a rumor that we’re getting a super old Zombie for a substitute teacher. I also heard that he retired from working at the local high school, so everything he teaches is really hard to work with. I just hope that the rumors are fake. I mean, they must be, right?
I have enough to think about without worrying if I’m going to have a freaky Zombie for my substitute teacher. I guess I just need to relax and look forward to what might happen next month. I know that with my crazy friends and my even crazier school, that something wild is bound to happen next month, and when it does, I’ll be there to write all about it.
