Chapter 11
Teril waited impatiently for Tasha to come through the doors at Brisbane’s International Airport. He had fretted and worried so much over Tasha flying alone that, Triena had taken over the job of contacting the Pod teams about the wedding. Callem had then taken over the arrangements; his language skills once more being needed. They’d hit a snag with finding Tasha’s brother, as he was serving in Afghanistan and on secret manoeuvres; Triena was following that problem up.
Tasha rushed through the slowly opening doors, hair flying, and backpack bouncing energetically on her slender back. Tired eyed and weary of body, she searched anxiously for sight of the only man in the world for her.
Teril caught sight of her seconds before she saw him, and was already reaching out to lift her in the air before her eyes had focused properly. Mutual words of love were gasped out between wild kisses, as Teril tried hard to mould Tasha and her backpack to his body.
“I’ve missed you so much my love, we’re never going to be apart again now that you’re here,” groaned Teril, as he started to walk towards the exit with her in his arms. Tasha noticed several people smiling at them and decided that as nice as this was, they better not draw attention to themselves, especially in an international airport.
“You had better put me down darling we’re drawing too much attention.” Teril grinned naughtily into her eyes.
“But, I love holding you in my arms.” They both laughed in sheer delight at being together again. However, once Teril had glanced around at their audience, he decided on discretion and gently set her feet on the ground. Then, arm in arm, they headed for the car park and home.
The trip down the highway to the Gold Coast was accomplished quickly and they were soon parked outside the block of units on the beach where Tasha lived.
“Ah, it’s good to be home, look at the sun on the water it’s going to be a beautiful day.” Tasha got out of the car, stretching the kinks out as she alighted.
“Beautiful view,” Teril murmured as he gazed his fill of her. Tasha laughed happily when she saw where he was looking. Coming around the car she snuggled into his side as he hugged her close. Tasha suddenly remembered the question that had been nagging at the back of her mind.
“Teril, how did you know I live here, I forgot to give you directions?” she asked, in a perplexed tone. Teril grinned as he replied.
“I got your address when I first started tracing you. However, I would have found you when you came home, because believe it or not, I live here between missions.” Teril grinned happily at her shocked expression, enjoying her surprise.
“You live here too?”
“Yep! Hi neighbour,” he laughed. “What you didn’t know is that the owner of these units is life-mate to a Teeron Executon. Daniel Smith keeps a couple of units for our use when our teams are here on Earth. Dan’s even considering changing the name of the units to ‘Teeron Terra’ Teril struggled to contain his mirth as he watched her face for her reaction
“Teril, does this mean I’m living in an alien love nest now?”
Teril couldn’t contain his mirth any longer, so roaring with joyous laughter, he swept a happy Tasha, high into his arms, and carried her over the threshold of the units and into their new life.
