But then just as she started to close her eyes, her entire body went taut as her eyes go wide. Flinching and instantly she was on the wall glaring. She couldn't see her yet. She couldn't even smell her yet. But she could sense it. Jonas! "Santrix."
Looking up from where she sat, Santrix blinked to see Kiara on the palace wall with her naginata drawn. "What is it Kiara? You see something?"
"Next to Seiji you are the fastest of all of us here. Go get everyone. Everyone, Shone, Yuriko, Mama, Father, Soichiro, Emiko, everyone and bring them here. Now."
Flinching, Santrix gasped. "But you said that Mama said not to go there. That she even pulsed you with purification when you tried to listen. I don't wanna piss her off. It may not kill me but purification burns when I get hit with it."
Turning bleeding eyes down to her sister and making her jump, Kiara snarled. "If you don't do it now I will burn you! Jonas is on her way she is Kenji's daughter. Now move!" She then turned and fell from the wall and moved a ways out away from the palace wall. Just as she stopped and looked up, Jonas landed on her tiger not far from her. Snarling, Kiara was tense. "You got some nerve to show up here."
Laughing, Jonas looked toward the sun as she sighed. "I am confident in my powers. Aren't you? I have nothing to fear coming here."
Taking deep breaths, Kiara kept her glare at her as she fought with her demon not to loose it. "I know one thing. Your head is going to go to my mother when I am done with you."
Turning back to the dog, Jonas smiled as she shook her head. "Yeah I don't think that is going to happen. I was actually sent here with a message from my father and Noke."
"So then out with it." Kiara tried but was losing to her rage. Her lips snarling as she narrowed her eyes even more.
Laughing, Jonas covered her mouth. "That is partly it. I also aim to take out a few of you while I am here."
Flinching, Kiara tensed. "Never going to happen. Out with what they want to say!"
A sadistic smile on her face, Jonas stroked her cat as she looked into the cobalt blue eyes of the demon before her. The offspring of Kiyoshi and Yokiyo, a once in a lifetime chance of a full demon that can use purification and was birthed by a human. Compared to what she can do at night, this demon had nothing on her. "That is simple. If you, Nyoko and Cho come quietly and be obedient girls, then he will not bother with anyone else. Exactly what my father wants with the three of you I have no idea. But if my father wishes, it happens at some point."
Closing her eyes, Kiara took a deep breath. Her rage was soaring at this woman. But she remembered the training with her father and grandfather right now. Losing her cool in a situation like this would mean not only her death but probably the death of others as well. "If he wants to get to Nyoko or Cho, he will have to kill every demon in this palace before he gets close enough to see their shadow." She then opened calmer eyes, but with a resolve to kill that rivaled her father. "And I will be on the forefront!"
Her own heated glare, Jonas growled as well. "You think you are really a match for me?! Ha! Just wait until night fall and you will see just how much stronger I am than you! I will destroy you!"
Her eyes never wavering as she stood up from her cat, Kiara didn't move. "That will never happen."
Pulling out her spear, Jonas took up a stance. "Just wait and see you bitch!"
Closing her eyes for a moment Kiara lifted her naginata over her head as she flared her purification and demonic powers to their fullest at the same time, as she twirled her naginata. "For your insults on me, I will hurt you. Even your insults on my parents and friends and family. I will hurt you. However you made one fatal mistake." Opening her eyes to glare at her, Kiara charged. "You attacked my mother. For that you die now!"
Dodging her strike, Jonas laughed. "If you think you can take me out then try it you retch!"

With a stern face, Soichiro stood there and starred at Seiji as he crossed his arms. He could see the pleading in his daughter's eyes. He has already proven he is more than capable of protecting her. And he had every intention on agreeing to it. Though he had to admit that he never thought that she would mate before Chiren would. And never thought it would be to the South. But at least there she would be as safe as here.
Turning his eyes to Kiyoshi and Yokiyo, he sighed. "Kiyoshi what do you think?"
Reaching out and holding his mate to him as he covered her mouth, Kiyoshi turned his head. "She is your daughter. The choice is yours."
Turning his serious face to his other side to his mate, Soichiro blinked. "Emiko?"
Crossing her arms, Emiko glared up at him with a hiss. The longer he took, the more nervous she could see her daughter becoming. Seiji, just like his father just stood there, but Nyoko was terrified at this point. And she was having no more of it! "You just stop it right now Soichiro. Stop this charade and tell them. Now."
With a smile, Soichiro turned back to the young couple and took a couple steps closer to them. His eyes now on his daughter he sighed. "My daughter. I wish you all the happiness in the world and you know that. I am sure you will find that in the South."
Her eyes going wide finally, Nyoko felt her tears start to fall. "Really? It's alright? I can…"
Nodding as he relaxed, Soichiro sighed. "Yes I give my blessing for the two of you to mate."
Letting go of Seiji's hand, Nyoko lunged into her father's arm and wrapped her around his neck. "Thank you Papa!"
With a sigh as he finally relaxed fully, Seiji closed his eyes. He figured that they would say yes, seeing as the relationship that they have had since before he was born. But taking so long still made him nervous about it. "Thank you Soichiro."
Letting go of his little girl as she went to hug her mother, Soichiro smiled. Turning to Seiji he held his hand out and shook it. "Just keep her safe and happy. That is all I ask son."
Smiling as he watched Nyoko move back to his side, he put his arm around her waist. "You don't have to worry about that one." Turning back to Soichiro he laughed. "I remember her when she gets mad. And I wouldn't want to deal with her angry with me, and Mama on the war path for making her angry."
Though before anyone could say anything else, the door flung open. Dropping her barrier, Yokiyo turned on her youngest daughter standing there. "What did I tell you Santrix about…."
Pointing down the hall, Santrix was breathing hard. "This is from Kiara! She said to get everyone, including e3veryone here. You all need to go to the front of the palace right now!"
"What happened?"
Looking up at her father, Santrix was breathing hard. "She said Jonas is coming."
Just as everyone gasped, they all tensed when the felt the surger of Kiara's demonic power, and the smell of her purification at the highest she could go. Looking up at her mate, Yokiyo was worried. "Kiara….."
Looking up at Seiji as everyone else rushed from the room, Nyoko pleaded with him. "I want to go."
With a smile as he lead her out, Seiji winked. "Well let's go." Once they were in the court yard, Seiji wrapped an arm fully around her and leapt up to the wall with everyone else. His eyes settling on Kiara as she did battle with a woman. "So that's her? That's Jonas, Kenji's daughter?"
With a nod, Chiren crossed his arms as he kept watch on the fight. "That's her."
His eyes going toward the setting sun, Kiyoshi growled as his eyes narrowed back at the fight. "She chose this time of day for a reason. Once the sun sets she is a dragon. About half the size of Tikae."
His eyes back on his older sister, Seiji could only blink with wide eyes. He has seen his sister fight before. But never like this. His hold on Nyoko's waist tight he sighed. "I have never seen Kiara like this before. Even when she is angry with Katana or myself. It's like she is totally different."
With a smile, Yokiyo had her arms crossed as pride rolled off of her and her mate. Her daughter was amazing in everything that she did no matter what it was. And this was proving it. A glance down the line of demons, half demons and humans, Yokiyo cou
ldn't help but smile even bigger. This would spread through all the demons in all the lands. That Kiara was not one to mess with for any reason.
But then again she also couldn't help but worry about her daughter. This woman had a miko for a mother, a dragon for a father. She was immune to purification, and transformed into a huge dragon form. She wouldn't step in and she also knew unless it was her life, neither would Kiyoshi. 'Just please be careful Kiara. She is Kenji's daughter, and who knows what sort of dirty tricks she can use when fighting.'
Branching Out Chapter 132
Her eyes narrowing as the sun faded behind her, Kiara charged the woman before her again. She knew that she would change when the sun set, but was confident that she could get to her in time. But just as she got near striking distance she stopped and jumped back a few hundred feet. The change was already starting. "Changing forms? Do you really think that you can beat me in that form? It doesn't matter what form you take, you won't win."
Feeling the burn as the change was getting ready to start, Jonas glared with a feral smile. Seconds later she let out a growl and was engulfed in a ball of bright light that grew. When it faded, it revealed a large dragon. Narrowing her eyes down at the dog, Jonas snarled. "No abomination like you could ever hope to defeat me in this form. Ever!"
Seeing just how large she was, and knowing that while she could transform and hold it for some time, the last couple of weeks have shown her that she does in fact need more training in it. If she transformed and tried to fight, she would lose. Standing tall, Kiara smiled as she relaxed. She knew what to do now. "I see then. You really think that I can't beat you because I am a demon that can purify?"
Snarling, Jonas kept her body tense as her eyes flicked from the dog before her to Kiyoshi. If he transformed, she learned the hard way she can't beat him like she thought. It was just one of the few limitations to having a human for a mother. "Well what the hell else would you be? I mean come on, even for someone like you, you can't really think that purifying demons is common."
Falling back just a bit more, Kiara put herself at the midpoint between the dragon and the palace. Giving the dragon her own feral smile she put her hand on her chest. "Well I am flattered that you think so highly of me. You have said what I can do many times this fight. It is flattering that someone like you would notice that."
Letting out a loud roar as she tensed her body, Jonas felt her lip curl as she snarled down at her. "It wasn't a compliment!"
"Well I took it as one. You even called me a one in a million." Closing her eyes for a second as she moved her hand, Kiara put her hands behind her on her naginata. "I tell you what. How about we make a deal? If you take me out, then you may, you may have a chance at getting over the wall to get my best friend for that bastard you call a father. But, if I can run you out of energy, then before I kill you I will let you know a secret."
Her eyes narrowing even more, Jonas kept her tense posture. "What secret could you have for me that you would think I want to know?"
Laughing as she started to spin her naginata behind her, Kiara narrowed her eyes even more at the dragon. "Just exactly how we broke the purification spell that was on the bars freeing the women and children. You mean to tell me that you wouldn't like to know how we did it?"
Smiling herself, Jonas charged the dog. "You are on!" This was going to be an easy fight now that she was in her dragon form. This dog before her may have been born demon, but just like herself she had a human for a mother. There was no way she was as strong as a normal demon no matter what!

On the wall himself now, Torakus looked around. He was the last to the wall and the fight with Kiara and the dragon was under way in full force. Looking down the wall he blinked. Just about everyone was there. Kiyoshi, Yokiyo, Katana, Seiji, Soichiro, Chiren, Emiko, Shone, Isamu, Yukimura, Sakon, Sidhae, Hideo, his mother and father, then Hajime and finally him. The only ones that were not on the wall were Akane, Cho, Nyoko, Santrix and Hoshiko.
Looking at the fight as it raged, he shook his head as he looked over his brother and to his father. "Father what does she even want here? With who all is here she can't think that she would be able to do anything alone? Just those of us on the wall would stop it, let alone the dragon army just inside the walls."
"We don't know son." Imae smiled as she kept her eyes on her little sister. No matter how big she got, she was always going to be her little sister, regardless of who did and didn't like it. "We were all a little pre occupied when she showed up remember. I am sure that when it is all over Kiara will tell us what she was doing here."
Nodding, Torakus looked back at the fight and Kiara's face. He didn't understand what was going on. He knew Kiara was better than how she was fighting. "But why doesn't she just get it over with? It is like she is playing a game and toying with her."
"Hush it." Grabbing onto Kiyoshi's arm as she leaned forward, Yokiyo glared down the line at her grandson. "Do you forget who we are talking about? Of all the demons in all the four lands, she has read more tactical books than anyone in the last four generations put together. Remember?"
Dropping his head, knowing better than to try and argue with his grandmother, Torakus nodded. "I know that."
Turning back to the fight, Yokiyo smiled. "Then just hush it and wait. She does everything with purpose and has something planned. And once that plan is carried out she will fill us in on it."
Smiling with a sigh as he looked at the fight again, Torakus crossed his arms. "That is true. I never thought about that."
Listening to the conversation about her, Chiren never took his eyes off of Kiara as she fought. The feeling that he had surging through him at the moment was making him think that everyone was right about him. He was being drawn into a bond with Kiara. But he would give it at least a couple more days. He wanted to make sure, one hundred percent, before he said or did anything about it. Though he also knew, that even if he had to piss her off to do it, he would step in if she looked like she was going to get hurt. He would never let that happen.

Breathing hard, Jonas stood on her legs on the ground. Holding back enough energy to get away from them, she fought and made it look like she had very little energy left. She wasn't going to take her life this time. But she did want to know how they broke the purification spell. And her father she knew would be curious about it.
Taking a deep breath as she snarled at her with a glare, Jonas saw the victory in the dogs eyes. "Fine. I do not admit death, but I admit you wore me out. And there is no sense in fighting a battle that neither of us will win. The secret now."
Smiling as she fixed her naginata on her back, Kiara stood stall. The fight was over. She had no power left. "Do you really want to know what it is?"
Making herself shake as she stood there, Jonas roared. "Just tell me already!"
Just as the dark was staring to creep across the land fully, Kiara fell back to just under the palace wall. "Torakus. Katana. Come out here with me. And if it is alright with the two of you, Imae and Sanzo. Akane too."
Blinking as she crossed her arms and looked down at Kiara, Imae had wide eyes. "Why do you need Akane?"
Winking, Kiara kept her smile. "She has told me many times that I am a one in a million. And I promised her before I killed her I would show her how we broke the purification spell to get the women and children out of their cage."
With a sigh as she looked at her son, Imae smiled. "Fine. Keep her between you and Katana."
Nodding, Torakus fell down to the girls and was right behind Akane. "Akane. How would you like to come see the fight with me? Up close, not just from the wall."
Jerking her head up at her brother, Akane had super wide eyes. "Really? Did Mama and Papa Sai that it was alright?"
Nodding Torakus pointed up to them as he smiled. "Just look."
Looking up and seeing the smile on both their faces, Akane giggled as she threw her arms around her brother's neck. "Let's go then!"
Snarling as she to
ok deep breaths, Jonas narrowed her eyes. The dog was joined by her brother, a falcon and a falcon half breed that was related to him. "What the hell do they have to do with anything right now?"
Looking over at her brother, niece and nephew, Kiara smiled as she turned her head back to the dragon. "The best way to break a purification spell like the one she did, was to disrupt it in more than one place."
"Point? Your mother is a miko I would hope you knew something like that. So how do they have anything to do that? It isn't like they are like you!" Coiling her body like she was going to try and charge them, Jonas was getting ready for her exit. "You couldn't have done it on your own and your mother and the other miko on the wall were not there!"
With a smile, both Katana and Torakus crossed their arms as they sighed. His dark blue eyes looking up into the dragon's eyes Katana laughed. "Well actually, you are right on one thing. My mother and sister were not there. But I did help. You see, I can do the same thing." Katana then flared his purification to the max making her jump back another twenty feet.
