Caulk Tease Page 2

by Green, Megan

His hand continues its exploration on my body, and I can’t help the sigh that falls from my lips as he pulls my leggings down to my knees, essentially locking me in place. His eyes lock on the thin piece of lacy red fabric preventing him from getting where he wants and in one fell swoop, he shreds it to pieces and it glides to the floor below us. Licking his lips, he draws one finger through my moistened slit to my backside. I jump slightly at the unfamiliar contact, but I don’t dislike it. In fact, I’m eager for him to do it again.

Instead, he slides back to my front, thrusting a finger inside and he groans with how saturated I am. How ready I am. His body leaves me as he takes a step back and that same finger slides into his mouth as he greedily licks my juices off. With his other hand, he pulls his slacks down releasing himself and I lick my lips imagining myself on my knees bringing him to the ultimate pleasure with my mouth. But I know that’s just a fantasy and something that will never happen. I watch as he sheaths himself with a condom and then takes a step back into my bubble.

“There’s no going back from here, you know that, right?”

His voice sounds like a threat and a promise all at once. I’m too turned on to even think about the meaning behind his words as I nod my head vigorously and tell him, “Fuck me. Now.”

He doesn’t even wait a single second and with one forceful thrust he fills me to the hilt and we both moan out at the same time. Agonizingly slow, he draws himself back out before slamming back into me. My abdomen screams out in pain with each thrust jamming me into the counter. It’s going to leave one nasty bruise, but I don’t even care. Both of his hands tightly grip my hips and his fingers deliciously dig into my skin. I have no idea what this man’s name is, but he’s leaving his mark all over my body and he won’t soon be forgotten.

“Touch yourself,” he growls into my hair as his thrusts start to really pick up pace.

He doesn’t have to tell me twice as my hand slides down the front of my body and my finger quickly finds my clit. I rub my finger against it, playing it like a guitar string and I go faster and faster chasing my impending orgasm. Both of our movements become frantic and yet we’re moving in complete sync with one another. The blur between our bodies makes it hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.

I refuse to think about that as I close my eyes focusing on the mountain of pleasure building inside of me. It gets higher and higher as he jams into the small bundle of nerves inside of me over and over again. I throw my head back against his shoulder and scream out as that mountain explodes and wave after wave crashes through my body. I’m faintly aware of him reaching his own climax and he holds me tightly to him as we ride out the intensity together.

  Holy shit.

With a pop, he suddenly pulls out of me, and it makes me feel as if a part of me is missing. I try not to think about that too much as I try to catch my breath. I look up into the mirror and watch as he removes and disposes of the condom into the trashcan near the door. My entire body is stretched and used beyond belief, I feel like I could crash out on the floor and sleep for a week.

As I drag my thin pants up my legs sans panties, part of me wishes we could do this again. Not a relationship because that’s the last thing I need right now, but fanfuckingtastic sex like that is really hard to come by.

He’s standing there watching me and the fire in his eyes is still burning strong. He stalks toward me and as he starts to pull me toward him, I step out of his embrace. We didn’t touch our lips the entire time we were fucking and we’re definitely not going to start now. Because if we do, I can’t be sure I’ll stay confident in my decision that we only have this one night and nothing more.

When he starts to move toward me again, I raise my hand and say, “Let’s not ruin it. I don’t know about you, but that was fantastic sex, but it doesn’t need to be anything more than that. I’m dealing with a lot of shit right now and I am in no place for a relationship.”

He bares his teeth and the intensity of his eyes glows as he crowds himself into my space. “First, that wasn’t fantastic, it was fucking mind-blowing, earth-shattering if you will and you know it. Second, I’ll let you go for now, but trust me it won’t be the last time.”

I don’t even get the chance to respond to him as he quickly leaves the room. When the door slams behind him, it suddenly pulls me from my stupor.

  What the hell just happened?

I don’t know what comes over me, but I quickly run from the bathroom and out into the bar looking for him. When I spy both of our bar stools still vacant, I run out to the parking lot and he’s nowhere in sight. Only a handful of vehicles are left, including mine and I have a feeling that none of them belong to him. I walk toward my own vehicle unsure of how I feel about everything that happened tonight.

Between the workout in the bathroom and the sudden shock to my system of the cold air outside, I find myself very sober. Although surprisingly not regretting my bathroom hookup. Not in the slightest.

Sliding into my car, I can’t help my small screech as my bare skin rubs against the fabric of my seat. I guess that was a little rougher than I originally thought, not that I would change a damn thing. I sit for a minute relishing in every single way Blue Eyes worked my body over and I can’t help but smile. As I toss my wallet onto the passenger seat, I finally remember about the abandoned text from Benton, and I pull my phone out of my wristlet.

Benton: Have a drink before you go, you deserve it. But you’re right, your boss is a dick so you should probably keep it to one, go home early and have a good night's rest. I hear you have work early in the morning.

I chuckle to myself as I lock my phone and put it back. Oops, a little too late for that now. As I glance at the time. How the hell is it already after midnight? I get my car started and make the short trip to my new home. All the while silently cursing myself. It’s going to be a bitch getting up tomorrow.

  Chapter Two

  Barrett

“Well, well, well,” my younger brother says as I walk through the front door of BrookStone Partners, the real estate/construction firm we own along with my best friend, Ashley Stone. We’re the Brooks, he’s the Stone, and together we make…well, you get the picture. Going into business with my little bro and the guy who’s basically been like a brother to me since grade school just seemed like a no-brainer. And until this very moment, I hadn’t regretted it for a second.

But the shit-eating grin Benton is sporting as he watches me stride across the office is enough to make me rue the day I pitched this idea.

Aside from Ash, Benton has always been able to read me better than anyone, a fact that I normally don’t mind. But when you’re thirty minutes late to work—something that has never happened in the five years we’ve been in business—and sporting day old scruff, all but announcing your proverbial walk of shame, it sort of sucks having to see your little brother first thing in the morning.

Even still, just the thought of that sassy little minx from last night has the smile once again returning to my face. The second I’d seen her at the bar last night, I knew I had to have her. I’d sauntered over to her, prepared to pull out the big guns in an attempt to sweet talk her into my bed. A night with a woman like her had been just the thing I’d needed in order to take my mind off the disaster that is my reality right now.

Turned out though, I hadn’t needed any of the tricks I had stashed in my repertoire. Before I’d even gotten my name past my lips, she’d made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.

And proceeded to rock my world in a dingy bar bathroom, a fact I still couldn’t believe even after reliving it at least a dozen times in the last six hours. I didn’t know a damn thing about her, but I knew I wanted more.

  Needed more.

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you got laid last night,” Benton says as he gives me a once over, pulling me out of my memories of last night and back to the present. “That can’t be it though. Because we all know Barrett Brooks doesn’t know the meaning
of the word fun.”

I flip him the bird, choosing not to respond to his ludicrous statement and instead walk around to the other side of my desk. Shrugging out of my suit coat, I hang it on the rack in the rear corner of the office and take a seat.

I may not go out as often as Benton, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to have fun. Besides, one of us has to make sure this company doesn’t go belly up before we even get a chance to really swim.

A possibility that is far too close for comfort, as the stacks and stacks of paperwork and bills piled on my desk are all too quick to remind me.

With a heavy sigh, I press my forehead into the palm of my hand and pick up the first document, my good mood immediately dissipating as my eyes scan the page.

“How the fuck did we manage to get into this situation?” I mutter under my breath for about the hundredth time in the last few days. It’s a rhetorical question, one I know the answer to all too well, but Benton doesn’t miss the opportunity to remind me.

“We bit off way more than we could chew with this City Hall renovation. We didn’t have the manpower or the connections to pull off something of this magnitude.”

Something I tried to tell you and Ash before you signed the contract, but you wouldn’t listen.

He doesn’t say the words aloud, but they’re there all the same. When the opportunity had presented itself, and we’d actually been invited to bid on the overhaul of our historic City Hall, all I had seen was dollar signs. Everyone in town would be clamoring to hire us for jobs after seeing the work we’re capable of, and there was no way in hell Ash and I were about to turn down the opportunity.

No matter how hard my little brother might’ve disagreed.

The three of us are all equal partners however, and majority ruled. We’d won the bid, started the work, and now we were floundering trying to get the job done on time and within budget.

My man Ash is a wiz when it comes to numbers and money. And I can design the hell out of anything. But Benton is the genius when it comes to construction. He leads our crew with an iron fist, and we’ve never had a project not go off without a hitch.

  Until now.

When he said this wasn’t a good idea, I should’ve listened to the asshole. A fact I’m never going to live down.

And one I’m now throwing all the remaining hope we have for this company into wholeheartedly. I might’ve ignored his suggestions before, but I’ll be damned if I make the same mistake again.

Which is why, when we’re literally dollars away from bankruptcy, I’ve agreed to let him bring on another crew.

  And another crew manager.

Let’s just hope their checks don’t bounce in two weeks. The last thing we need right now is a bunch of pissed off construction workers with access to power tools.

My balls tighten in response to the thought, all too aware of the various ways those men could use those tools against my testicles.

I set the paper back down on the desk, checking my watch. Speaking of the new crew…

“Isn’t your friend supposed to be here by now?”

To say I’d been hesitant when Benton pitched the idea of bringing in new workers to help complete the job would be an understatement. But he swore up and down that this Monroe guy was the best of the best, and that if anybody could help us wrap this shit up and still maintain our dignity, it was him.

So, I’d acquiesced, signing off on using the last of our funds to hire them on, praying with everything I had to whatever mythical or heavenly being who might be listening that it didn’t come back to bite me in the ass.

But being over an hour late to your first day on the job…

  Yeah, it wasn’t looking good.

Benton shrugged. “Monroe headed straight out to the job site this morning. Wanted to take a look around and get a feel for the place. I said we’d be there to go over the details just as soon as Ash got in.”

And as if summoned by the mere mention of his name, our third partner and my oldest friend, Ash Stone chooses that moment to stroll through the front door.

I don’t even bother filling him in, instead pushing up out of the chair behind my desk and grabbing my coat.

  “Well, let’s go.”

  * * *

Twenty minutes later, Benton parks the truck in front of City Hall, and we all file out. I wince when I see the scaffolding across the front, the materials I’d spent so many hours choosing in painstaking detail piled behind the perimeter fencing. It’s been two months since we started this job, and we should be a lot farther along in the process than we are.

Ash doesn’t seem as concerned as I am, however, a low whistle escaping his lips as he takes in the work in progress.

“Damn, Ben. I hardly recognize the place.”

Winchester is a small town, and City Hall isn’t exactly out of the way. But Ash sees exactly three places in this town. The office, his bedroom, and when he’s feeling lonely, the local bar. The man defines the phrase married to his job. It was only recently that I’d finally put my foot down and barred him from sleeping on the couch in the office. Before that, I’m not entirely convinced he even knew where he lived.

So needless to say, he hasn’t been by the City Hall project in recent weeks. The old brick and worn siding have all been stripped from the outside, making way for the new Hardie and stacked stone I ordered to give it a fresh new feel.

  It’s going to look amazing.

If we can ever get it finished.

Benton nods as he looks up at the building. “I know. It already looks so different. I can’t wait to see it when it’s all done.”

I clear my throat, his words so similar to my own thoughts just moments ago, but with a lot more conviction that it’s actually going to happen than I feel.

Benton launches into some details of one of the areas over in the corner when I see a flash of dark hair. It’s a lot longer than I’m used to seeing out on a construction site, and my eyes immediately shift to try and make sense of it. I see the briefest glimpse of a female body before she steps around the side of the building, and I’m even more confused than I was before.

What the hell is a chick doing on our job site?

I’m about to question Benton when he interrupts me.

“Monroe should be around here somewhere,” he says, craning his neck.

Thoughts of our new foreman push the woman out of my mind, and I turn my head to follow his gaze. If Benton thinks this Monroe guy will be our saving grace, then I’m sure as hell going to try and make the best first impression I can.

I straighten my suit jacket, double checking that the button at my midsection is fastened and my shirt is still tucked firmly into my slacks. Sliding a hand through my curly dark hair, I ensure it’s still in that perfectly messy look I spend way more time than I care to admit polishing each morning.

There are several new guys on the site this morning, but none that give me that take no shit vibe that site managers seem to put off in spades. Once again, I’m about to question whether or not Benton knows just what in the hell is going on out here when a wide smile spreads across his face.

“Monroe!” he shouts, throwing his hand up in a huge wave at the same time he takes off in a sprint across the yard.

The dark-haired woman I’d spotted earlier is back, her tiny body turning to face my idiot brother as he dashes toward her.

Confusion floods through me the closer Benton gets to her. I don’t get it. Is this Monroe’s wife? Girlfriend? Why the fuck would he bring her to his first day on the job?

The bewilderment only intensifies when Benton reaches the woman and scoops her up in a bear hug, spinning her around as her surprised laughter rings through the air.

“It’s been way too damn long, girl,” I hear him say as he sets her on her feet.

“Tell me about it,” she responds, the soft tone of her voice strangely familiar even from this distance. “I never thought I’d set foot in Winchester, Colorado again. But here I am.”r />
“And you couldn’t have come at a better time. We need you, Monroe. Bad.”

My brow furrows. He didn’t just…

Ash nudges me with his elbow. “Did he just call her Monroe?”

I nod, my shock swelling in my throat and preventing words from forming.

“Huh,” Ash says with an amused chuckle. “I guess I just assumed Monroe was a guy.”

I nod again. You and me both, buddy.

What the fuck was Benton thinking, bringing in a woman to do the job that nearly a dozen men haven’t been able to do?

“He’s out of his mind,” I finally manage to say, shaking my head in disbelief at the complete lack of thought my brother had to have put into this. He’d told me Monroe was the best of the best. I hadn’t realized he meant in bed.

I swear to God, Benton, if you put the future of this company in jeopardy just to get a piece of ass, I’m going to make sure there’s nothing left for her to climb onto by the time I’m done with you.

A million different curses run through my head as Benton and the woman turn and walk toward me and Ash, their intensity and my own anger preventing me from even being able to watch as they approach, my gaze instead focusing on the ground at my feet.

My fingers clench and unclench over and over, and I briefly debate if it’s worth slugging my brother in the gut as soon as he reaches me when a shocked gasp breaks through my fury.

Snapping my gaze up to where my brother and the woman stand in front of me, I’m met with a set of familiar dark eyes, the deep brown pools boring into mine as her mouth hangs open. I can see the fear, the confusion, the complete and utter shock in them as soon as my own eyes lock with them.

Because whatever I’m seeing, I’m sure she’s seeing reflected back at her tenfold.
