“Okay.” I sag as the fight goes out of me.
I turn to the two men who are always by my side. Alesso and Markos look as grave as I feel.
“We need to go see the boss and hope he doesn’t go off the reservation when I show him all of this.”
“Yes, let’s hope we get out of there alive,” Markos says.
I smile, and it’s dark and dangerous, because that’s not my concern. No matter what I’ll be getting out of there alive; whether or not Stamatis does is a whole other story, because if he puts Costas, a fuck up who means to kill him, above the daughter who never did him harm, I can’t be held responsible for my actions.
I’m about to set the world alight, all to save one woman.
The woman who no matter how much I try to deny it, is mine.
