Kentucky on the Rocks Page 8

by Gwendolyn Grace

“There were sparks! How I went from heartache to happiness in just five dates.”

The article actually went viral and made it to a few national publications. I even got interviewed for it on a morning television talk show. I couldn’t have been more proud of my work and sharing my story.

“Josie, what time is it?” Aidan called sleepily from the bed. I looked at the clock.

  “I guess it’s three a.m. Paris time.”

“Come back to bed, baby.” He pulled back the covers and I settled in beside him. He positioned us until I was lying underneath him and wrapped my legs up around his waist as one hand caressed my outer thigh.

He peeled off my nightie and slid my panties down with record speed. His palm skimmed down my stomach until he reached my wetness. His fingers glided in and out of me as he swirled his tongue around one of my taut nipples. I slid down his boxer briefs and wrapped my fingers around his thick hardness. He inhaled sharply as my hand started to pump him firmly.

“I’m not going to last . . .” He groaned as he stilled himself within my grip. Aidan never had much control over himself during morning sex. Maybe it was the relaxed state that his body was already in. Either way I loved that his need for me was so strong. He moved my hand away as he lined himself up at my slick opening and entered me in one swift movement. We both moaned at the pleasure of being joined. Aidan moved slowly in and out of me, and the feeling was so intense that my eyes began to fall closed.

“Look at me.” His voice was thick and strained. His beautiful green eyes were filled with so much love and desire for me that it stunned me every time. I met his stare as he continued to slowly rock his hips back and forth, up and down, while our hearts pounded wildly against each other. As the pleasure ignited inside of me, I moved my hips to meet each one of his thrusts.

“That’s it, baby,” Aidan encouraged. “Tell me this feels as good to you as it does to me.” He groaned while biting down on the tip of his tongue. It just solidified that he was the sexiest man I had ever seen in my life.

“Oh, Aidan. Yes, so good.” I moaned and licked my lips, my gaze still locked with his. His pace quickened, and he thrust harder and deeper into me. Moaning even louder, I arched my back and spread my legs wider.

“I love you so much, Josie. My wife.” He laced his fingers into mine and rested our hands on either side of my head. He lowered his face so close to mine that our lips were barely touching. His eyes were completely dilated and full of raw passion.

“I love you, Aidan. My husband.” His mouth curved into a gorgeous smile before his lips claimed mine.

“Ah, I’m going to come, baby. Come with me.” He pulled back to continue eye contact with me. Panting, I used my thighs to rock faster against him. I was so close. He thrust his powerful hips a few more times before letting out a low groan as his lower abdomen contracted against mine, and I watched his jaw go slack while his eyes glazed over. He was so beautiful, and he was so mine. I felt him release inside of me in warm spurts just as I exploded around him, my inner muscles clenching greedily at his thick cock inside of me. Our orgasms were so intense that we lay there rocking against each other for a time, waiting for the aftershocks to subside.

Aidan rolled off me and pulled us onto our sides. I rested my head into the crook of his arm as our breathing returned to normal with our fingers still entwined. I looked at the diamond engagement ring that glistened in the darkness as my other thumb ran along his wedding band.

His family had already welcomed me with open arms, and my family was instantly fond of him. We spent a week in San Diego visiting my mom and sucking up to Natalie, who was extremely upset with me for keeping Aidan from her, but the success of the dating article and the fact that she was completely charmed by Aidan ensured that all was forgiven pretty quickly. My dad, his wife, and even Joe Junior along with his girlfriend came out to Kentucky for Christmas, and everything fell right into place.

I’d also moved into Aidan’s house in Shelbyville right after I’d sold the Louisville condo. After five months of living together Aidan took me and Ziggy for a walk along the lake where he got down on one knee and proposed. Six months later, in April, we were saying “I do.” We’d had a small wedding at Aidan’s parents’ house. Sophie and Nicole helped me pick out my dress, while Maddie and Natalie were my bridesmaids, and Isabella was our flower girl. His mother’s catering company handled all of the food, and Scott arranged the photography. It was a beautiful day, filled with love, and I couldn’t remember ever feeling so happy.

We’d chosen Paris for our honeymoon. The contest winners seemed to enjoy it, and by last report they were still together so it was a fitting choice for us as well. We lived the original romantic rendezvous and that’s how we fell in love. I would call that winning.

As I lay there curled into the arms of my handsome husband, I thought about how I’d wanted to feel extraordinary. How I’d wanted someone to feel like they couldn’t live without me.

  Apparently Aidan couldn’t.

  Yeah, I was definitely winning.
