Kissing every inch of her, looking her in the eyes, they dance this dance without speaking a word thoroughly connected until Blair starts to see stars, her orgasm gripping them both Mark uses his fingers to rub her clit and help her reach full climax and when she does her body grips him tight not letting him go.
After a few minutes she has come down and without breaking her eye contact he pumps hard to reach his own climax. Collapsing on top of her, kissing her neck over and over.
Blair is slightly afraid of Mark, he is not only someone she is sexually attracted to, she feels a pull to him, a pull which could be something bigger and she doesn’t want bigger. Not with anyone and especially not with someone who looks at her the way Mark does.

As he was leaving Mark pulled her in, kissing the tip of her nose, her cheekbone, then her lips in a slow and sensual kiss which she melts into.
“I told you last night. I really like you, I would like to get to know you better. If you will let me?”
“Did you not get the memo?” she says as the kiss ends, breathless and flushed.
“Which memo?”
“The one where I don’t do relationships.” He smirks leans down whispers in her ear.
“Nor do I, so we should make a great team.”
Then he picks up his car keys, and leaves, blowing a kiss on the way out. Five minutes later Blair’s phone rings with a message.
Mark: In case you decide to give me a go. I think you are spectacular, I think together we could be better. Let’s get to know each other. You won’t regret it.
Chapter Five
Mark
I walk home with Luka after rehearsal, he wants to stop at the jewellery store where he is picking up a bracelet he had made to give to Jess at the party next week, he wants me to hold onto it so she doesn’t find it.
“What happened between you and Blair last night” He asks as we walk across town towards the shopping centre and the jewellery store.
“Nothing much, I dropped her home.” I tuck my hands in my jean pockets and look at the ground in front of me.
“Don’t bullshit me, my car never came home last night.”
“I didn’t want to disturb you dropping the keys off.” A weak argument, I am fully aware. Luka stops walking, forcing me to stop and turn.
“Mark, there’s nothing wrong with liking somebody. She’s a nice girl.” His tone, compassionate, and his eyes sympathetic. I don’t want people to know I’m softening, becoming a normal, feeling, human being.
“I know she’s nice. Fuck it. That’s all I’m saying. I have a reputation to uphold.”
Luka laughs and knowingly slaps me on the back. “It gets us all you know.”
“What does?” I crease my eyebrows, my voice raising up a pitch.
“Love.”
“Holy shit, I only said she was nice.” A cold chill runs down my back. Could Blair be the one?
“Here we are” Luka leads us into the jewellery store and starts talking to the clerk. As he chats and discusses the bracelet. I wander and find myself staring at the engagement rings and imagining myself buying one for Blair, which one would she like? I can’t imagine her wanting something big and gaudy, but a simple one like that, yes that one with a small and plain diamond, that seems like Blair.
“Can I help you?” A young woman behind the counter has approached me smelling a sale.
“Oh no…I was just looking.” I stumble over my words.
“She must be a very lucky lady, you were looking very intently. It seemed like you had your eye on one of them.”
“You ready mate.” Luka approaches. “You looking at engagement rings? Christ, you are moving fast!” He laughs, and I smile meekly at the assistant as we walk away, the image of that ring on Blair’s finger not quite dissipating from my mind. What the hell has got into me? I need to get her out of my system and quickly.
My phone rings as we walk back to the apartment and a text message pops up.
Blair: You say I won’t regret giving you a chance. Prove it.
A shiver runs through my spine and I have no idea how to prove that to her. Part of me wants to run away as quickly as possible, the other part wants to marry her. I have no idea what is happening to me, but I do know Blair is exciting and interesting and she understands my love of music the same way I understand her love of photography.
“Hey Mate, can I borrow your car again tonight?” I ask Luka
“Yeah, what do you need it for? As if I need to ask.” He chuckles
“No point lying. I’m going to take Blair out.” A smile hits my face, despite my trying to stop it.
“That’s good news, I’m glad, keep the car we don’t need it until lunch tomorrow. And Jess will want you to keep it forever if it aids your love life.”
“Yeah, OK thanks.” I hesitantly agree before responding to Blair
Mark: Dress casual, I’ll pick you up at 6pm.
Blair: I never said I’d go on a date with you!
Mark: I know, but you will.
◆◆◆
At 5:30pm Mark pulls up outside Blair’s studio, he’s purposely early wanting to talk to her a little before they leave. He walks in and she is stood behind the counter bent over and intently staring at the images in front of her. Without looking up she speaks.
“I’ll be with you in a minute.”
I don’t say anything instead walking to the counter and resting my forearms on it so that I can watch her. After a couple of minutes, she finishes what she’s doing and starts to look up.
“Sorry to…oh it’s you.” A smile starts to appear on her face until she catches herself and switches back to neutral expression. “You’re early.” I reach forward and tuck a stray hair behind her ear and feel her shudder, I don’t hide my smile, my attraction.
“I thought if you weren’t busy we could talk before we went out.”
“Ummm, yeah, I’m never busy at this time, I will close up.” She walks around the counter, her blue jeans and black t-shirt accentuating that incredible body that just this morning I had wrapped around me.
As she walks back towards the door to her flat, I grab her arm and pull her towards me, my intentions to keep the sex out of this fallen by the wayside. As she stumbles in front of me, I take her head in my hands and rub my thumb along her bottom lip before devouring her. Our kiss equally possessive on both sides, she wants me as much as I want her. Our tongues lock and dance a tango my hands separate, one inches underneath her t-shirt, her warm skin soft against my fingers. My other hand clenches against her perfectly rounded ass. Then she cups my balls and a growl grows in my throat, a chuckle from her has me picking her up and taking the couple of strides across the room to her couch.
“I’ve got this.” She says, unbuttoning my jeans. She’s sitting on the couch me standing between her legs. Lowering my jeans, she releases my cock and gasps then smiles, looking at me through her lashes.
She grasps me then she gently licks from base to tip, then she does something I’m not expecting, and she licks my balls, almost sending me into a meltdown, my knees wobble and I lean forward and grab the wall. Blair takes my tip and uses her tongue and teeth to make my whole body react to her before she encloses my engorged cock in her mouth and slowly takes it deeper and deeper. So deep I’m hitting the back of her throat and moans are escaping my mouth I can’t control. I place a hand in her hair, needing to feel this woman, this amazing woman. She rocks using her tongue and her teeth to incredible affect. Her fingers massaging my balls and my head is ready to explode never mind my cock.
“Blair, I’m going to come, you need to let me pull out love.”
But she holds on her hands holding moving to my ass and pushing me harder, encouraging me to come and shoot my juice into her. When I do, it’s an explosion, my mind is falling and apart, yet Blair doesn’t hesitate, not for a second and I’m in awe of this woman even more than before.
I fall to my knees, pulling Blair into my arms, I can’t
speak, but I scatter kisses all over her and she clings to me.
“Promise me I won’t regret this Mark.” She asks. My heart contracts because I did tell her she wouldn’t and that’s all that I want, for her to be happy. I’ve never in my life made a woman a promise.
“I promise. I promise you won’t regret this.” I say stroking her hair, pulling her eyes up to meet mine. “I want to prove it, but I can only do that over time.” She nods, tears in her eyes that she is clearly holding onto. Blair is an incredibly strong woman who has been looking out for herself for a long time. I lean forward and kiss her before I stand and pull my jeans back up. Sitting next to her, I wrap an arm around her and pull her into my side.
“I did come early so we could talk. There is a lot we don’t know about each other. I thought the best way to start dealing with that trust issue was to talk. We obviously have incredible chemistry, but there’s a lot more to both of us than sex, right?”
She laughs and nods. “What did you want to talk about?”
“I’ll let you start, you ask me anything you want, and I will try and answer.” I look at her. “I’ll be honest, this will be hard, I’ve never done relationships, so this kind of thing doesn’t come naturally to me. So bear with me OK?”
Blair takes the hand which is draped around her and kisses it “I’m not the best with relationships myself so I think we can give each other some wiggle room with this whole thing.” She turns to look at me before stretching up and kissing the corner of my mouth. “OK, you mentioned this morning, that you knew what it was to lose your best friend, but you and Luka seem solid so that really confused me.”
“Wow, you notice everything don’t you? OK, I’m not ready to tell you the whole story yet, but I promise I will.” I look at her and she nods. “I did something, something bad, something unforgiveable to Luka a few years ago and destroyed everything. He disappeared from my life and it’s how he ended up living in Bristol. I guess on the plus side, if I hadn’t done that he wouldn’t have met Jess but that doesn’t absolve me from being a complete and utter asshole. It took a really long time, but we eventually found our way back. I’m forever grateful that Luka is the kind of forgiving person he is.”
“Can I ask if you would do what you did ever again?” Blair asks
“Never, I was a drunken idiot. I knew I’d made a mistake the second it happened, and it almost destroyed my life forever. I’ll never do anything so stupid again. I’ve done a lot of stupid things, but that was the worst. I’ve not always been a very nice person, Blair, you need to know that.”
“I don’t care who you used to be Mark, I want to know who you are now. I just want to learn what got you here.” She says turning and locking eyes with him. Her hand comes up and cups his face, bringing it down to meet hers for a slow and sensual kiss that lights him up inside as his fingers tangle in her hair. When he pulls away, her eyes are glistening, and a smile is delicately planted on her face.
“Do you want to go on our date?” I ask and she looks shocked
“Don’t you want me to tell you something?” She asks
“Yes, eventually, but we have time.” I say, I desperately want to learn everything, but I am trying to prove this trust thing to her.
“OK, let’s go then.” She smiles, and I check her shoes, a pair of Dr Martens. We’re good.
I take her hand and after she unlocks the door we leave the building.

“Why are we heading out of the City?” Blair questions and I laugh
“It’s a surprise. We won’t be much longer,” as we approach the roundabout to enter Avonmouth. I turn off and a few minutes later we are turning into what appears to be a warehouse, but as the signage gives away is far more fun and interesting.
“Go-Karting? We’re going Go-Karting?” Blair exclaims and claps her hands.
“Well, we both sounded so boring when we said we didn’t do anything except our music and photography. And as great as that is for our single lives, it won’t work very well if we are dating. I thought why not try something a bit different to the usual go out for a meal.”
Blair runs around the front of the car and jumps into my arms, kissing me hard.
“Thank you, I’ve always wanted to try this. I don’t know how you knew but it’s perfect.” I kiss the top of her head and we walk inside holding hands, the grin on my face not going anywhere.
We get booked in and go through the safety talk before we get seated in our karts, and then we get to drive. Blair doesn’t stop smiling the whole time, even when she’s throwing obscenity and abuse at me, her accent thicker than I’ve ever heard it before which makes me roar with laughter, my laughter just makes her worse. I see that I’ve picked a woman with a massive competitive streak, anytime I managed to gain a lead she exploded into streams of abuse and would do everything including cheating to get ahead of me. In the end I let her stay ahead and take the win. Which was totally worth it to see how happy she was and the way she was bouncing around with her tiny medal on the winner’s podium was adorable.
“I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.” I say as I reach out and squeeze her thigh.
“Who said I enjoyed myself.” She responds, barely containing the smile, let alone the excitement still bubbling under the surface.
“Of course, you hated every second, silly me.” I responded.
“Mark, seriously, I don’t remember the last time I had that much fun. Thank you.” I see her watching me out of the corner of my eye and it’s so hard to pay attention to the driving. “You know, you could stay at mine tonight if you want.” She says and I swallow the lump in my throat.
I don’t remember the last time I slept with a woman when I was sober, probably never, but Blair, I want to do that. I want to spend that time with her, get to know her.
“Are you sure?”
“Wouldn’t have asked if I wasn’t” She responds.
“Yes, without a doubt.” She leans over and kisses my cheek.
“We’ve still got a bit before we get back. If you want to ask me one of those questions I’m willing to answer.” She says
“OK, Just say no if you don’t want to though.”
“I will.”
“I’ve noticed you never drink alcohol. I just wondered if there was a reason.”
Blair places her hand on my thigh.
“Nothing particularly sinister, at Uni I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole, drinking too much. I didn’t like the way I relied on it, so I decided to stop drinking and just never went back. I like having a clear head.”
“That makes sense. Alcohol does tend to make people do some stupid things, I’m a good example of that multiple times over. I think there’s a lot to be said for having a clear head.” I glance at her and she’s smiling.
“Thank you. I often get frowned at or told just to have one it won’t hurt. People really struggle to respect the decision not to drink alcohol.”
“There is no issue with that here. Given all the trouble alcohol has caused me I should probably have given it up as well.” I laugh and take her hand.
Almost back to her studio and flat I feel my stomach clench in anticipation of another night with this beautiful woman and the blossoming relationship I have. The first relationship I’ve had in over a decade and potentially the first ever with love involved. The things I feel when I’m with Blair are completely unique and I can only hope that this continues because I thoroughly enjoy every second I spend with her.
Chapter Six
Blair
Blair held her coffee mug to her lips and looked at Mark sitting across the room tucking into his toast with vigour. It crosses her mind the one night stand she promised herself has now turned into two nights and a lot of conversation. Mark glances up catching her eye and winks, his lips turning up into a sexy smile which leaves her feeling completely done for.
After what happened with Scott, Blair makes a point of not getting attached to men, especially good-looking men who set her sou
l on fire like Mark. She can’t seem to walk away from him. The way he wants to hold on to her makes her want to hold on back, and whilst she is terrified of getting hurt again, she feels more afraid of closing the door on this man and never seeing him again.
◆◆◆
Eight Years Ago
Blair walked into the bar and saw her friends in their usual spot. Waving made a beeline for the bar before joining them. Emblyn gave her a huge hug.
“Where have you been? We’ve been waiting for you for hours.” She shouted into Blair’s ear over the loud music.
“Work, the studio ran over and I couldn’t get away.” Blair had got a job with a photography studio and although the hours were insane the experience was perfect for her. She caught the eye of Scott one of her friends over the table and felt the familiar bubble of anxiety in her stomach. Whenever they were together this happened, she felt a pull towards him like he were her North. She didn’t know if he felt it too. He never gave any sign of how he felt.
Dean and Aaron were locked in conversation, they probably hadn’t even noticed she had arrived yet. Taking a long sip of her drink through the straw she dared another glance at Scott, he smiled, and Blair couldn’t resist smiling back.
Blair and Emblyn sat talking when Crazy B*tch by Buckcherry came on and Emblyn jumped up pulling Blair to the dancefloor with her. The girls were dancing when Blair felt hands snake around her waist. Looking around she was even more surprised to see Scott was the owner of those hands. He smiled down at her, his face lighting up, removing his normally severe expression. Her heart beat out of it’s chest and she looked across at Emblyn who winked at her and left the dance floor leaving them alone. He pulled her back into him resting his hands on her thighs, their bodies moving as one.
“I’ve wanted to touch you like this for years, angel.” He whispers in her ear, his voice triggering the anxiety in her stomach again.
