The Angel Fay Finds Her Wolf Page 10

by D J Nickels

I spent the rest of my day using the book and my powers to clean up the yard and to gather wood for the fire I planned on having later tonight. I brought out some chairs and placed them around the fire for later. I wanted everything to feel comfortable and cozy for everyone. I brought the picnic table back around to the back side of the house.

I went back inside and made a list of things I needed from the store, and when I went to text Jonathan to let him know that I was going to the store, I realized I didn’t have my phone.

Well, crap, I would have to go back to my house and see if Bradley had found it. I grabbed two crystals and used them to form a barrier around myself and put them into my pocket. I grabbed my list and my purse. I told the girls to be good and I would bring them back something good.

I focused my power on Bradley, and suddenly I was standing straight in front of him. I found myself in the middle of a meeting at Jonathan’s. All his men and Bradley’s men were in Jonathan’s office. “Oh,” I gasped. “Jonathan, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt; I was looking for Bradley,” and that is when I heard Jessica’s voice. I saw my phone sitting in front of Jonathan on his desk.

“Kate, please call me back, it’s Jessica. Kate, why haven’t you called me back, please, call me.” She sounded scared out of her mind. Then a man’s voice came through the speaker. “Kate, you have something of mine, and now I have someone of yours. It would be best for your friend if you call me back right away. I have some men here who are getting a bit worked up and would love to have a turn with your best friend.”

  My eyes widened.

“What the hell is this? Why did you take my phone?”

“Kate, calm down; that is not what happened,” Bradley said. “One of my men found your phone and brought it to me. It was dead, so I charged it. When it came back on, I noticed that Jess had called over a hundred times. The phone rang in my hand, so I answered it. There was no response and they hung up. I had noticed it was Jess’s number that had called again. So, I sent Dom to go and get Jonathan, because I thought you had enough going on right now to deal with.”

“Bradley, you of all people know that you don’t get to make choices for me. You should have brought my phone to me, right away. There are things that you don’t know about Jessica.”

“Right; it’s not like I haven’t practically raised you two since I’ve been home from the military.”

“Bradley, I found out last night that Jessica is my twin. Jonathan, can I speak to Bradley alone for a moment?” They all gave us the room. I went and sat next to Bradley.

“Bradley, Momma had to bind my powers and she took our memories of the things that could hurt us when she died.” His mouth dropped open. “Please take my hands and I will show you.” His eyes lit up as I showed him everything, I learned last night.

“How is this possible?” I showed him my true nature and that Jessica was truly our sister. “When Jonathan and I mated, it unbound my powers, and last night when I ran off, it was Momma calling to me. The old cabin triggered my memories and they came flooding back. We need to save our sister.”

Every one of the men came back into Jonathan’s office.

“So, what do we do? Kate, come and sit with me,” Jonathan asked. “I want you to know first that we will get you sister back. He won’t hurt her; he needs her for leverage. I need you to trust me—this is what we do best. It’s why your brother hired us to work for him when we got out of the military.”

  “Okay.” I nodded my head.

“We have about 45 minutes before they call again. I would like you to stay and answer the phone, since they wouldn’t talk with Bradley. If you all could excuse us, we will meet back her is thirty minutes.” They all left the room.

“Babe, how did you just pop in like that and how are you here right now?” he asked. “I found a book that my Momma left Jess and I.” “I have learned a few new things.”

I pulled out the crystals in my pocket and showed him. “I made a barrier around myself.”

“Does this mean you’re coming home?” he asked hopefully.

“No, sorry, not yet; these won’t last extensively. I would have to be confined to your room, and I would feel trapped in there all day. But you’re welcome to come stay with me at the cabin.”

He nodded and then kissed me. It made me so hot that I flashed us to his room. He got a bit dizzy and grabbed a hold of me. I giggled. “It’s okay, it will pass,” and then he threw me onto the bed. I was wearing a skirt, and he raised it and ripped my panties off me.

“This is going to be hard and fast. I need you too badly to be gentle.” Then he flipped me to my hands and knees and slammed into me. He pulled my tank top and bra down to my stomach and played with my nipples. Then he rubbed my clit, as he pounded into me harder and harder. “Oh, fuck, baby girl, cum now,” and my body exploded around him, pulling our orgasms from us. We landed on the bed with him on top of me.

“God, I love it when you do that.” I said.

“What, make you cum?” he asked.

“Yes, that too.” He flipped us to our sides to hold me. “No, I was talking about how you lie on top of me just after, until we catch our breath. It makes me feel sheltered and that no one can get to me.”

He hugged me. “I wish we could stay right here for days,” he said.

I looked over at the clock. “I need to get cleaned up, and we need to go back downstairs.”

I went to the bathroom to freshen up, and then I met everyone back downstairs in Jonathan’s office. I stood at the door waiting for Jonathan to finish speaking. Then he looked up and called me to him. He placed me on his lap.

“Wouldn’t it be better if I just called them? It is what I would have done the minute I had found my phone anyway.” Bradley nodded yes to Jonathan. I looked to Jonathan and then he agreed. “Do you mind if I stand and do this? I need to be my own person, and I can’t do that sitting on your lap.” He kissed my forehead to let me know he was right here if I needed him. I stood and called Jessica’s phone back. It rang three times and I put it on speaker. Then someone picked up.

I heard, “Hello,” in a scared and shaky voice.

“Hey Jess, sorry I missed your calls. I misplaced my phone and it was dead, but I am here now. Is everything alright? How was your blind date?” I said like I expected her to answer me. A man’s voice came over her phone.

“Well, since you put her blind date in the hospital, she was stood up.” I gasped. “So, I had to stand in for him.” I froze for a moment.

“Who is this, and where is Jessica?” I asked.

“Oh, she’s just a bit tied up, at the moment,” the voice said with a chuckle.

“If you hurt her in any way--”

He cut me off. “Now, Kate, you are not the one in charge here,” he said. “You have something I need, and if you want your bestie back, you will bring it to me.”

“What do you think, I have exactly?” I said.

“Tom has a laptop and some SD cards in his desk that I need—and, well, you of course.” I looked at Jonathan. “When you bring me those items, I will be happy to give you Jessica.” “Otherwise…” he threatened.

A video text, came through, and I opened it. It was a video of Jessica hanging with her hands over her head, and she was completely naked except for a thong, with a bunch of men in masks circling all around her. I gasped and projected it in 3D, putting my hand over my mouth. Carson stiffened and snarled as he watched them circling her. He got up and punched a hole in the wall.

“Do you understand me, Kate?” he said.

“Yes. Now understand me—if even one of you touches her in any way, I will rip out your throats. Do you understand?” He laughed at my huge threat. “You saw what I did to your other men,” I reminded him. He stopped laughing.

“Now where do you want to meet?”

“Are you sure you’re well enough to meet now? Aren’t you still in a bit of pain from your rib being broken?” He chuckled again.

I looked to Bradley questioningly. “How could he know that?”

“Oh, don’t you worry about me. I’m doing just fine,” I said, making it seem like he was wrong.

“Fine, then meet me at Sam Wright’s old place,” he said. I turned ghostly white and grabbed the desk. I looked at Bradley and mouthed “Sam’s” with a confused look. Bradley sat up and started texting on his phone.

“Fine,” I said, making my voice firm.

“Oh, and Kate, come alone, or I will give her to my men.”

“Don’t threaten me, or you won’t get your computer or SD cards.”

“Just be there tomorrow at 3:00,” he said, and he hung up.

I turned to Bradley. “What are we going to do?” I asked.

“You’re not going to do anything,” Jonathan said. “You’re going to go rest, while we come up with a tactical plan, that doesn’t put you and Jessica in the most danger.”

Jonathan asked me if the crystals had enough power to last for 24 hours. “No, I will have to go back to the cabin and trade them out.”

“Right now, I need you to go and rest. You may have to use some of those powers you have,” he said. I nodded. “Will you come back to the cabin with me for a bit?” I whispered. He growled and pulled me to him.

“Bradley, get started on a plan with the men. I will be back in a bit.” I flashed us back to the cabin to my room.

He stopped, looking around the room and smiled. “What is all this?” He saw the flogger on the wall and some canes, where he had kept his over the fireplace.

I took off my clothing and I knelt in front of him. “If there is anything you need that is not here, you can just voice it in your head, and I will make it appear.”

Jonathan came and stood in front of me. Lifting my chin, he asked again, “What is this, Kate?” He walked over to the St. Andrew’s cross in the corner of the room. He looked back at me.

I thought you might be angry with me for leaving this morning, and just leaving you that note,” I whispered.

“You think I am going to punish you for keeping yourself safe—even if it’s from me,” Jonathan said as he walked back over to me and lifted me off my knees and to him. “No, Kate, I will not punish you for that. What I felt when I held that crystal, was horrible. I don’t ever want you to feel that again, from any of us.” He caressed my cheek and I leaned into his hand. He laid me on the bed, and he made the sweetest and slowest love to me.

Jonathan was in the shower when I woke. I got up and set out some clothing for us both, and then I met him in the shower where he took me against the wall. After our shower, I took Jonathan back to his house.

Bradley had a huge map laid out on Jonathan’s desk of Sam Wright’s old farmhouse and the surrounding areas. They all were discussing the best way to handle their approach. I pulled Jonathan into the hall and shut the door for a moment.

“I need to run to Jessica’s house before I go back to the cabin.”

Carson came up behind us. “For what?” She is not there.”

“I need to go and pick up Pete now that I know Jessica is not there. It’s been days and he hasn’t eaten or been out of his cage.”

  “Who is Pete?” Jonathan asked.

“Pete is Jessica’s German Shepherd. We got him after Jess broke up with her last boyfriend. He was an abusive asshole who we put in prison for what he did to her, and Pete is her service dog.”

“Okay, well, I need to stay here, and catch up with the plan, but you’re not going alone. Take Carson with you.”

Carson drove me over to Jessica’s in his truck. I kept looking at him.

“What?” he asked. I was just wondering why you punched a hole in the wall, when you saw Jessica on the 3D image?” “I don’t like seeing anyone in pain.” I just nodded and told him where to turn. We pulled up to Jessica’s and I unlocked the door with my key. We walked in and Pete was in his cage and was not looking so great, and then the smell hit me. He had gone to the bathroom in his cage. We opened Pete’s cage, but he was too weak to come out on his own. He just lay there and whined at me.

“He is probably dehydrated,” said Carson.

“I know, buddy, we will get her back,” I told the dog. Carson shut the cage and carried it out of the house while I opened some windows to air out the place. He opened the cage and slid Pete out onto the grass. He cleaned him up and cleaned out the cage and I got some towels to dry him off.

Carson picked up Pete and put him in the truck. I texted Jonathan.

  Text

Jonathan: Taking Pete to the vet. He was dehydrated so they put him on an IV and making him feel better. I am taking him back to the cabin with me and the girls.

Kate: Thank you for the update. I will see you soon, little one.

After Carson dropped us off, I decided to go outside and sit on the dock. I centered myself and my feelings. I let everything fade around me, and I meditated. I focused on Jessica and I began to see her. She became clearer and clearer to me. She was lying on a cot in a small room. I whispered to her, “We are coming for you, Jess.” She was cold and shaking and I felt this urge to go to her. I suddenly felt as if I was not alone. Jonathan was there, and I felt him watching me.

“I told you last night I felt something was wrong after we got back. I should have known better. I should have realized sooner that she was missing,” I said as I got up, turning around to talk to him. “She was supposed to come and see me the morning after her date.” I shook my head and wiped the tears from my eyes.

“You can’t blame yourself,” said Jonathan. “Things have been just as crazy for you the last couple of days. We will get your sister back.” He came to me and put his arms around me to hug me, pulling me back to look at me. “This is what my men and I do best.”

“I can see her,” I said to him. “She’s so scared. Do you know how much I just want to flash in there and get her right now? It would be so easy. No one is around her; she is locked in a room by herself and she is cold and shaking. We could easily flash in and out with her.”

“Yes,” Jonathan said, “but then how would you catch the bad guys? Wait, you can see her?”

“Yes, when I sat down to meditate, I was worried about her, and I am so attuned to Jess that I began to see images of her. I focused on them, and they became clearer and clearer.”

“Okay, let’s go and tell the others, and see what Bradley thinks.”

I flashed us to Jonathan’s house. Everyone was just sitting down to eat dinner.

“Oh, sorry, we didn’t realize everyone was eating now,” said Jonathan.

Carson got up and made a plate of spaghetti for Jonathan and set it down in front of where he usually sat. Jonathan pulled me over to his chair with him, and I noticed Becca sitting on Collin’s lap, and he was looking into her eyes as he fed her bites. Jonathan sat down and tugged me onto his lap.

“Let’s eat, and we can discuss this over dinner,” said Jonathan.

Bradley looked up from his plate and said, “Discuss what?” as Jonathan gave me a bite of garlic bread.

“Kate was meditating tonight, and she could see Jessica. She is locked in a room alone.”

I took the crystal from my pocket into my hand, and I closed my eyes and I focused on Jessica. (Jessica, Jessica, ostende mihi faciem Jessica) An image began to come up as I used my power, to show them Jessica. The image was live, and she was holding herself and rocking back and forth. Then I began to breathe heavily, and I couldn’t hold the image, because the power of the crystal depleted. I could feel Dominic’s hate for the power I had just used. Then I dropped the crystal and I had to flash to the cabin.

“What the hell just happened?” asked Bradley.

Jonathan flew at Dominic, hitting him, and shifted to wolf, knocking him back through the glass sliding door and landing with his teeth around Dominic’s neck, growling. Jonathan connected his mind through the pack link. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t kill you for what you just put my mate through. Again
.”

“Alpha, I’m sorry,” Dominic pleaded with his Alpha.

“What if it had been your mate being hurt? You will hold a crystal tomorrow to know exactly what you are putting her through. She is not one of those witches that killed your family.” Jonathan’s Alpha power rolled off him, so they all heard and felt this. “She is half Nephilim. Do you know what that means?” asked Jonathan. “She is made of angels blood.

“Oh, God, what have I done?” Dominic replied.

“You won’t get another warning.” Jonathan let go of Dominic’s neck and took off through the woods.

  Jonathan

By the time Jonathan made it to the cabin, I was passed out on the floor where I had landed from flashing. Jonathan shifted and picked me up and carried me to the couch and holding me to him. “Little one, are you okay?”

Carson had just walked in two minutes later. He went and got a wet washcloth and handed it to his Alpha on his knee. Jonathan nodded to Carson and said thank you. Jonathan wiped the sweat from my forehead. I began to wake in Jonathan’s arms.

  “What happened?”

  “Dominic happened,” said Jonathan.

I shook my head, remembering. “No, I used up too much power trying to show you Jessica and keeping everyone’s feelings blocked at once. The crystals I had depleted their energy and mine. I’m so tired.”

“You need to rest,” said Jonathan.

“But, Jessica—we need to help her.”

“You’ll be no good to her if you can’t use your power to help save her tomorrow,” Carson growled at me. I laid my hand on Carson to tell him thank you and just as I did, I got an image. My eye went white and I was seeing Carson with Jessica together just as Jonathan was with me.

I gasped in surprise. “She’s your mate,” I whispered, and my eyes cleared. Carson’s eyes widened in surprise. “What was that?” asked Jonathan. “A vision.” I said.

Jonathan stood up with me and carried me up to the bedroom. “I am so sorry that you had to feel all that pain again,” Jonathan said.
