Waking up, it was like everyone we dealt with in St. Louis was crowding the house. I didn’t mind for tonight since this was their first time seeing Hope up close and personal. Murk, Hyatt, William, Keefe, and Hosea was all outside. My father was cooking some homeland meals in the kitchen with my mother. All the girls were inside in the living room with the baby. The other kids were running all over the place, so it was loud. Oddly, Hope didn’t mind at all.
“She just sleeping through it all.” Aja cooed, and I was holding her baby.
“Chile, Vernell’s house stayed with his family over, so she got used to it fast.” I replied.
“She got Hosea’s eyes for sure. The mouth and on down is you.” my sister said, sitting on the floor.
“Yes, she does.” I said, not able to disagree. Hosea peeped his head into the room, and I met him with a kiss. I loved how he would just see what she was doing randomly. I didn’t even have to call for him ever.
“You can sit with your girls. I was just checking.” he grinned, kissing my lips.
“I already knew.” I smiled, not able to be happier about my man and my family in general. We had gone through some rough stages, but we had learned loving each other took patients.
Epilogue
Well, Hosea got his wishes of another child sooner than he planned. He definitely pumped a baby in Dice before her six weeks were up, and the doctor confirmed. So with six week old baby Hope, Dice was once again hit with raging hormones of another child growing inside of her. In due time, they all got on board that she was once again expecting. Only this time, she got a partner that could relate! Yes!!!!! Miani and Dice was carrying at the same time this go around. Both receiving engagement rings, they weren’t in any rush.
Hosea also missed the construction building with the Southside location of the Royal’s, and got a needed push from Dice to follow through with starting his own construction company. Since he wasn’t on the casino scene right now, it was a great distraction for the meantime, knowing he was going to eventually start his own franchise of gambling casinos in the future. Escaping from the charges that could have taken his life away, he has done well with keeping his lawyer paid! Marie tried to creep her way back in, but Hosea soon found out she too was fucking Ralph’s detective best friend, Fedrick. Hosea found out through his lawyer and the ongoing case that didn’t have his name no where on it. It was her last attempt to trick Hosea back in so he could take the fall. He surely could have been taken down if he kept the doors open for her.
Obasi, he finally decided to explore other entrepreneur options beside the artillery game, and was coming up successful with his own laundry mat and gas station right in the hood. Miani slowed her hours down at the Royal’s, but working in her nursing field was always something she wanted, so she stuck to it. Easton was awaiting the arrival of his new sibling, and he was embracing not being an only child anymore.
Hilary, she was happily married to Vernell, and holding down her position. The Dominican Republic would forever be their home, so when Hosea bought property nearby, it was a no brainer that he would be spending time with his parents. Duchess was now set to split time between staying her summer and school years between the DR and St. Louis. With her blossoming personality, it was hard to share her, but they made it work. Hilary was taking on her motherly rule, and stepping up even greater as a grandmother. Her relationship with Hosea was growing everyday. With a husband like Vernell, she couldn’t fail. She was clean from drugs still, and found happiness with having a loving family of her own.
Ralph Francis was sentenced to a thirty year prison sentence in a state prison after he lost at trial for the murder of Moss Juelz, transporting illegal artillery and ammunition.
Brothers, Fedrick and Jerry are still fighting their cases with their involvement with bringing in illegal contraband over the border, tampering with evidence, and police misconduct.
