Arcona brought forth her crimson spikes to turn the tide; they shot up from beneath Valdrassgo and pierced his hard exterior from all angles. The spikes did noticeable damage as he shattered them all by flailing angrily and rocking the foundations of the arena.
“It’s time you see…my ultimate weapon.”
Arcona hadn’t the humanity to respond; her face had been ecstatic and her fangs trembled in excitement and anticipation. Her crouched feline stance was ready for anything, but even so, what came out next was too devastating for thoughts.
Valdrassgo’s body creaked and clanged as he altered his exterior workings. Holes of varying sizes now protruded from every available space he had. Beams and lightning fast projectiles emerged at unforeseeable speeds towards Arcona. She had little choice but to keep moving to avoid being hit. Valdrassgo was clever however, and led his target before firing a particularly precise shot from one of his longer barrelled holes on his shoulder.
A small chunk of Arcona’s abdomen was obliterated after she attempted to evade this deadly accurate attack. She coughed up blood and continued to keep on the move. Arcona had attuned to the new situation and was now able to see the impact point of the projectiles. The world seemed to slow down as her senses were on overdrive. She ran from side to side, dodging the gunfire that unfairly approached her from all angles. She jumped and landed on Valdrassgo’s face and put her pulsating hand on his forehead.
“Your power isss mine!” She hissed.
Valdrassgo could feel his life-force rising up and exiting his body against his will; he continued firing his vast array of weapons but was unable to control space effectively and ended up shooting himself in the process.
“I’ll take…you…with me!” He shouted and focused his fire on one location, sending it straight towards Arcona. The giant beam of death was converging on both of them as they both screamed and yelled at the top of their lungs and were engulfed in the brilliant light.

The coliseum shone like a second sun for a time as the finale came to a close. The spectators were speechless at the inhuman display that happened before their very eyes, unable to comprehend any of it. Valdrassgo had fallen; his head had been annihilated entirely from the blast of his own weapon. Arcona was stood on top of him, looking down in a psychotic state; her demonic form had shed and she appeared as she normally did.
“..hu…haha…ahahahahahaha!” Arcona burst into uncontrollable laughter.
The power she felt was immense, almost intoxicating. Her ego was at its limit as she walked out of the battle-ridden arena and took her rightful place as Queen of the land…
Arcona felt like she could do anything, no, she could do anything. Humans would bother her day after day with political crap and needless attention. She’d frequently take her anger out on her subordinates and initiate war at random with nearby nations for a few laughs. Arcona was both a tyrant and not a tyrant; she was uncaring to the point where people could get away with doing terrible or helpful things as long as it didn’t affect her. The city appeared to rule itself, as heroes and villains duked out by themselves.
Assassination attempts were arguably the best part about being the Queen. It was a nice change of pace to murder someone as an example in the public eye. It would scare and provoke more into taking up the assassin’s job.
Years went by as Arcona ‘ruled’ the kingdom. Her appearance had halted its progression and she retained her youth and beauty. Her royal armour covered her at all times; she looked powerful, intimidating, but above all elegant.
Watching the world through an all-seeing orb that she fashioned out of her own vile power was her favourite pastime. The inhabitants of Earth Alpha were like insects to her but she found pleasure in watching their struggles. The Chamber of Knowledge was at the tallest point of her palace, a large circular room that would be empty if not for the throne in the middle and the various mirrors scattered around the place. This was Arcona’s observation point; it was a solitude that ironically reflected her heart in a sad way.
Ruling had recently started to get tiring and bothersome. The fun she had at the start had died down and she yearned for a change in her stale life. The power she took from Valdrassgo all those years ago amplified her own strength and was perfected into an alternative dimension that she could now control. Anything from weapons to buildings could be hidden in this infinite space and made her the most powerful person in the world.
While ignoring a routine meeting, Arcona thought desperately for how she wanted a change. She then suddenly felt something, as if a greater power had answered her call. It was something she was sure only a select few felt due to her demonic senses. A being had entered the world, a being of great power. Arcona let out a smile unconsciously and thought…
I wonder if this foe will entertain me…
