No True Justice Page 21

by H. L. Wegley

Back to the lake—near Round Butte Dam, there are some caves at the shoreline. They appear as narrow slits at the water level. As we motored by, our hosts, Jerry and Linda, pointed out the caves. Immediately, a scenario popped into my head. What if a helicopter approached with a crew intent on killing us? How could we get away?

The answer was obvious. Roll over the side and swim under water to a cave. But what if one of the people on the boat has a phobia about being under water? The idea for No True Justice came from that question and that scenario.

I managed to surround that scene with the required story elements and to populate it with an interesting cast of characters. Is it all believable? I’ll leave that to my readers to decide.

The twins, Joshua and Caleb were a fun addition to the story. After some research, I deduced that it was possible for four-year-old boys with their intelligence to accomplish what they did in the story.

KC Daniels appears in the story and plays an important supporting role. I only mention that she is an American hero, but don’t give much explanation. If you want to hear her story, pick up a copy of my award-winning novel, Voice in the Wilderness. I try to keep the Kindle copy on sale most of the time for $0.99. There you’ll see how KC and Brock Daniels risk their lives to stop a president who sees tyranny as a quick way to fundamentally change America.

I hope you enjoyed No True Justice. If so, please consider leaving a short review on Amazon and Goodreads. Reviews are hard to come by and greatly appreciated by authors. Witness Protection 3 should release in the fall of 2018.
