Ten minutes later, I recognized the airport turning. His jet was parked on the runway, ready to go. I couldn’t stop beaming. I had loved the experience of flying last time and it felt so cool to just be able to walk onto a plane and take off.

Simon’s arm slipped around my waist as I walked up the stairs, probably making sure I didn’t slip. I was too excited to notice his nerves.

The plane had just eight, huge leather seats, a toilet nearly as big as my flat and a kitchen area for meal preparation. There were even two large beds at the back of the cabin. But it wasn’t any of that which caught my eye as I crossed the threshold. Sitting in the front seat was a young lad, the spitting image of Simon.

I gasped; I wasn’t expecting to meet his son yet!

Shaun rose and stepped forward, the epitome of manners.

“Good morning Kate.” He said politely, offering me his hand. “My dad has told me a lot about you.”

I felt like the wind had been knocked out of my body.

“Hello, young man. Likewise.” I managed to stammer back. I barely avoided glaring at Simon; he could have warned me!

Simon gently touched my arm. “Sorry, but Saturday is usually my day with Shaun. I wanted to share it with you today and he agreed.” He paused before adding, “I hope you don’t mind.”

I shook my head, the initial shock wearing off. “It will be fun!” I said, possibly a little too jovially.

Actually, it was. When I realized we were going to Disneyworld I was a little disappointed, but I soon found out that it was a fantastic experience when you were treated as a VIP and Shaun spent half his time on the rides, leaving Simon and me to enjoy our own activities.

By the time we got back on the plane, it was past nine, Shaun hadn’t stopped talking during the ride back to the plane, but he had been onboard just moments before falling asleep. Simon tucked him into one of the beds and moved back to me. His arms slipped round my waist. I could feel the heat of his body as he pulled me close; our lips slowly pressing against each other.

Slowly Simon ran his hand down the side of my body. His light touch sent a shiver through me. “Thanks,” he murmured softly. “For being so good with Shaun.”

I smiled at him, allowing my hand to drop across his back and onto his muscular buttocks. “Anything for you.” I breathed softly into his ear. My whole body was trembling with desire as Simon slowly slid my top over my head.

Unable to wait any longer, I pulled at his shirt, the buttons popped undone; revealing his toned stomach. It wasn’t quite a six-pack but it was close. His tanned skin was firm and warm to the touch. He groaned as I ran my fingers across his body.

Simon’s lips sank into my neck, tracing a line of kisses down the side of my body, his fingers tugged at the button on my jeans as he slid them downwards before guiding me into the chair, the plush leather cold against my naked buttocks.

I could feel the desire in him, pushing hard against me as his kisses circled back up my body and to my lips. Slowly, seductively he removed my other clothes; his own fell into a pile next to him and I gasped, the size of his member was impressive.

Without thinking I reached for him, pulling him in closer, tugging on his manhood. My hand locked around it, pulling him towards me as Simon groaned with pleasure. Slowly I moved my hand back and forth, gripping it just tight enough for him to squirm. His hands slipped into my hair as I continued. I could feel him ruffling and then pulling on my brunette locks; a sharp jolt of pain shot through my body as he tugged harder. A moan escaped my lips as he lowered his lips down to mine.

Our tongues entwined as he lowered himself down. A moment later he was half kneeling on the floor in front of me; forcing me to release him. I could feel my heart beating faster as his lips moved down the side of my neck.

He nuzzled, kisses gently trailing across my body; down towards my cleavage. Slowly he circled my breasts, one hand slid lightly across them, pinching my nipple as his teeth sank gently into the other.

I yelped from the shock and felt instant warmth spreading through my body; the pleasure was amazing. His kisses continued, slowly downwards, his hand remained on my now erect nipple, lightly running over it. Every touch sent a shiver through my body.

A moment later his strong hands guided my legs apart, his tongue slipped slowly down between my thighs. It was my turn to squirm. I could feel his tongue probing against me, slowly, delicately caressing my most intimate parts. Another gasp tumbled from my mouth as I felt his tongue slide inside me. Pleasure shot through my body like a bolt of lightning. I could feel him hitting all the right spots; one hand was still gently caressing my nipple, the other now moved to grip the bottom of my back; holding me in position as his tongue took me to the edge of heaven.

Just as I felt I was about to explode, Simon pulled back. With a wicked gleam in his eye he moved back to my face, his lips pushed against mine as his hand slid between my legs. Two of his fingers slipped inside me as his tongue entwined around mine. I could taste the sweetness of my own juices.

That was when he pulled the lever and the chair went back flat. The full weight of his body pushed against me; I felt like I was about to explode. His fingers were moving fast, roughly pushing in and out of me. Quickly I clamped my hands onto his toned buttocks and dug my nails in.

I felt him stiffen, his hard shaft pushed against me. Slowly he slid his fingers out of me; his eyes remained locked with mine as his shaft slid deep into me. His fingers came up to my mouth, without saying a word I opened it, licking them as he started to thrust against me. His weight pushed onto me; sending vibrations through my body. Every movement sent a bolt of pleasure through my body.

Simon picked up his pace, faster and faster he moved until I could take it no more. With a loud cry, I released, allowing my juices to flow round him. A moment later he bucked against me, crying out as he reached his own triumphant conclusion.

I sank into the seat, holding him close, content, a big smile on my hot face.

  Chapter Four

  Simon

For the first time in as long as I could remember, I didn’t get up and hit the gym. I had almost begged Kate to stay overnight but she had insisted it was too soon. To be fair she was probably right, but we were having so much fun it seemed silly to stop. Plus, I wanted to get some repeat action.

I glanced at the clock, almost nine already! That was impossibly late for me. More surprisingly was that Shaun had not yet been in to bounce on my bed; it was one of his favorite activities during the weekend, whether I was in it or not.

Smiling, I pushed myself out of bed; Kate had things to do this morning so I wasn’t seeing her until two. I had a feeling it was going to be a long morning; even with the activities Shaun would undoubtedly have planned.

I padded across the room and into the hallway; Shaun’s room was next to mine. For a long moment I sat at the edge of his bed, simply staring. He looked so content whilst asleep and for a moment I marvelled; his whole life was in front of him. He could do or be anything.

The morning actually disappeared surprisingly quickly. Before I knew it I was dropping Shaun off; he was having a sleep over at his friend’s house. It was nearly quarter past two when I got to Kate’s house. I smiled to myself; it was good not to appear too eager, no matter how I felt. In truth, the only reason I hadn’t spent every minute of the morning thinking about her was because Shaun had kept me extremely busy.

“Hi.” Kate’s voice bounced across the concrete as I stepped out of the car. Unlike me she had no problem with being eager. She was already waiting to go.

“Hi,” I managed, looking her up and down. She was the only person I had ever met who got me tongue-tied.

“You look fantastic,” I said and I meant it. She was wearing ankle boots and jeans which hugged her slim legs. Her simple vest top highlighted her toned body and the leather jacket added an air of rock chick. I could feel my knees weakening.

Quickly I rushed around the car and opened the door for her as she gigg
led; “Thank you kind sir.” Her eyes glinting like emeralds. I couldn’t resist. I pushed her gently against the car, my lips locked onto her soft, luscious ones, my hand wrapped round her waist, pulling her in close. Slowly, I slid my tongue inside her mouth, caressing hers as I closed my eyes.

“Mmmm,” she said as she pulled away after a few minutes. “Now that’s how you say hello!” It was my turn to grin sheepishly as I held the door and watched her folding her svelte figure into the car.

The drive took just over half an hour but I wished it had taken longer. My hand rested comfortably on her leg and she chatted away to me. Of course, she was excited. I had offered to take her to a communications expo, which was her passion. It would be informative for me but Kate was like a child on their way to Disneyland.

To be fair the afternoon passed in a blur. I felt like a teenager again, holding her hand and listening as she chatted away to anyone and everyone. For a while, I completely forgot about anything and everything else. Kate never let go of my hand but I saw her then for what she was: an independent young lady. There might be no guarantees in life but I was starting to think that it would be impossible for her to ever become a gold digger.

All too soon, I found myself driving back toward my house.

“Would you like a nightcap?” I asked softly, not wanting to ruin what had been a fantastic day.

“Yes, please.” Kate’s reply came instantly. Her hand was on my leg and she squeezed as she looked at me, a huge grin on her face.

  “Thank you.” She said simply.

Coffee turned into wine. Despite the fact it was nearly eleven, it was still surprisingly light. “You know,” Kate said as we sat in the conservatory gazing at the stars. “I could get used to this.”

“Get used to drinking wine at eleven or enjoying the space in my house?” I asked, knowing I was being slightly cheeky and also fishing for a compliment.

“Ha, ha,” she said, punching me lightly on the arm. “I meant, sitting here with you and enjoying your company.”

I had never felt so content, especially when she agreed to stay over.

  Kate

I felt the spot next to me in the giant bed. I had heard of super-king size beds but this was something else. Simon had said he would leave early but he had left me with a dilemma. He had said to use one of his cars, but if I took one of them to work it would be obvious something had happened. On the other hand, I couldn’t leave it at my house and take my car; it would probably be damaged by the end of the day.

In the end I decided I had enough time for the bus and took that to collect my car. My flat, which had always felt so cozy and inviting suddenly felt cold and tiny. I sighed softly as I changed and headed to the office.

It turned out I didn’t need to worry. Fiona barely waited for me to get in the door. “So, is it true?” She demanded, her annoyance obvious.

“Is what true?” I asked. I had no idea what she was talking about.

“Geoffrey said he saw you and Simon being very cozy at the expo yesterday. He reckons you left together and looked like an item.”

I was shocked and speechless for a moment. What could I say? I wasn’t sure that Simon wanted it to be general knowledge yet and I really didn’t.

“That’s just stupid!” I said, trying to look angry. “I did see him there and he gave me a lift back to my car which was in the garage, but that was it.”

Fiona shook her head. “I thought you were better than that!” She exclaimed.

“Better than what?” I said. I could feel my cheeks blushing as my voice started to rise.

“Better than sleeping your way to the top!” She exclaimed turning and storming off before I had a chance to react.

Shocked I gazed after her. I didn’t know her that well yet but she hadn’t believed a word I said. If she didn’t believe me then what chance was there of anyone else accepting my story? It didn’t matter that they were actually right; they had no reason to know the truth at the moment.

It was then that I realized, what if Simon had already confirmed something to one of them? I might have just been a weekend conquest to show off about to the guys at work. Not only would that make Simon no better than the blokes I had dated in the past, it would also be obvious to everyone, like Fiona, that I was now lying.

I suddenly felt an anger burning inside me. I had trusted Simon, how could he do this to me? I had only been on the job for a week. I moved towards my new office, my head spinning. Although the office now symbolized what everyone was saying it would also give me a few moments to reflect; it was my space.

I knew there was only one thing to do. As discreetly as possible I made my way to the elevator and pushed the button for the top floor. Ellie smiled softly at me and ushered me straight into Simon’s office. He was on the phone. I sat on the hard chair, not wishing to get comfortable or let my anger go. After a few minutes he finished his call and spun his chair to face me; “Hi!” He said enthusiastically. “Everything okay?”

I paused, taking a deep breath, “No.” I said firmly. “Everyone seems to think I am sleeping my way to the top.” For a moment Simon looked grave. “What on earth gave them that idea?” He asked, raising one eyebrow in that infuriating but endearing way which only he could.

“Geoffrey saw us at the expo,” I said, feeling myself calming. I was glad I hadn’t gone in all guns blazing.

Simon laughed. “That’s it!” He quickly stopped when he saw my face.

“Don’t worry about it,” he said with a smile. “They are just testing the water, judging how you react. It will all blow over in a day or two.” He paused, the corners of his mouth twitching, “That is, of course, unless you want to sleep your way to the top.”

Shaking my head I left Simon to it. I knew he was probably right but that didn’t make it any better and it was me who had to deal with it, not him.

I kept my head down for most of the day. If Simon was right then that was the best option to take. I had to admit that, despite everything, I was looking forward to seeing him that night.

I waited until just after six to leave; I knew most people would have gone then. Of course, I felt a little silly hiding from my new colleagues, but I simply couldn’t face them again.

I drove straight to Simon’s house, grateful that I had picked up my own car. I needed a hug and a little reassurance.

“Hi,” he said with a big grin when I saw him. Instantly I felt better; especially as he pulled me into his arms and held me close. I could feel my breathing calming as I breathed in his manly scent. Suddenly all was right with the world.

After several moments he guided me into the house; we went straight through to the gleaming white kitchen; it looked like it had never been used. “This is for you,” he said, passing me a long box with a smile. “To help you feel better about today.”

Excitedly I ripped it open. Then my heart stopped. Inside the pale cream box was a stunning necklace. A heart shaped crystal as big as my thumb sat in the middle of the chain, framed by a delicate lace of silver. I sucked my breath in; taken aback by its beauty.

“You like it?” Simon asked, smiling. He picked it up to put it around my neck. I could feel my anger building instantly and explosively. How dare he try to make everything right by giving me an expensive gift? That was exactly what rich, arrogant people always did; assumed they could buy their way out of trouble.

Without thinking I threw the necklace onto the worktop. “What were you thinking?” I cried out at him? “How could you think you needed to buy my loyalty or my love?” Simon looked visibly shocked as I added. “I knew this was a mistake, you are just the same as the others; you think money can solve everything.” I paused, aware my voice was very loud. Taking a deep breath I tried to calm it before finishing my sentence. “Whatever this is, was or could have been, it’s over.” I cried out. “I can’t date someone who has no idea about my values.” With that, I left the room and his house. I didn’t let the tears fall until I had left his road.

br />   Chapter Five

  Simon

Stunned I watched her go. That had not been the reaction I had been expecting to a small gift. I didn’t think money solved every issue, but it certainly helped in many situations. All I had been trying to do was make her feel better.

It took about half an hour for my surprise to change into anger. How dare she feel that she could speak to me like that! I didn’t think of myself as arrogant; if I was guilty of anything it is of trying to make her happy. Well, if that was her attitude then good riddance. I could do without the interruption to my life. Shaun was what was important, not women.

Carefully I packed the necklace back into the box. It could be returned easily.

I would have to consider her future at the company now. I wouldn’t be able to work with her but, until Stacey returned; there was no one else with her skill level. It was a conundrum.

Having stood motionless for half an hour in the kitchen I realized it was time to get a drink and sit down. My mind wouldn’t rest. I couldn’t see how one small gift could cause such a reaction. Even if the thought of people knowing at work really bothered her, it seemed like an impressive over-reaction.

The more I thought about it the more I realized what had been plainly in front of me the whole time. She was a gold digger, but she didn’t want to seem like one, especially after I had said about my concerns. The result was she had used me for a good time, infiltrated my heart and then simply left at the first opportunity.

I felt annoyed and frustrated as I poured my second drink; I would teach her to mess with me.

  Kate

I pulled over two blocks away from Simon’s house, letting the tears flow. It was the first time I had really cried in years. It seemed daft really, it had barely been a week, but for the first time in my life, I had been sure he was the one. Not now, I knew he was just another arrogant, rich businessman who thought money answered all life’s questions.
