The Zoran's Bride (Scifi Alien Romance) (Barbarian Brides) Page 2

by Luna Hunter

I’ve never felt so small, so cornered, so trapped before. My heart is racing like mad, and for reasons unexplained, my stomach is fluttering.

His scent, so manly, so strong, completely surrounds me.

“W-what’s this?” Ferguson stammers when the seven foot tall Zoran warrior steps into his office. “W-who are you?”

“Kazim,” he growls, his voice low and animalistic.

He doesn’t even look up at the captain. His eyes, the color of lavender, are focused on me and me alone.

“What in the blazes are you doing here?!”

A second tall Zoran follows Kazim into the captain’s office. Judging by his obsidian armor, and his chest full of medals, he’s a bonafide Zoran General.

Ferguson snaps to attention instantly, saluting the general.

“I’m adding Kazim to your roster,” the general says matter of factly.

“T-this is not according to protocol,” the captain protests.

The general’s eyes flicker in anger.

“You’ll take him,” he growls, his voice low, a threat lingering underneath the surface.

Ferguson swallows the lump in his throat.

I don’t have enough eyes for this conversation. I want to stare at the Zoran General, who is flexing his muscles, and at Captain Ferguson, who is trembling in the presence of two powerful aliens, and at Kazim, the barely dressed blue warrior, at his broad shoulders, his sculpted abs, his shorts which can barely contain his greatness… but I can’t see any of those things because his radiant eyes, as purple as amethysts, demand my attention.

“W-why is he not in uniform?” Ferguson says, trying to sound authoritative.

“There was no time,” the general answers. “Find a use for him.”

“How am I supposed to do that?!”

“You’ll think of something, Captain,” the general says. He nods and strides out the office, leaving us three alone.

Ferguson looks at me, a mixture of fear, humiliation and anger in his crystal blue eyes. Then, I see them light up, as if a lightbulb has gone off in his head.

  “Kazim?”

  “Hm?” the alien warrior growls.

“From now on you’re Dr. Graham’s personal bodyguard. Don’t let her out of your sight.”

The blue, half-naked warrior smirks and I feel my heart sink.

  Oh please no.

  Kazim

“You’ve got to be kidding me. This can’t be happening. It can not.”

The shapely human female mutters to herself as she strides down the hallway, while I follow her closely. The trembling human gave me one command — to not let her out of my sight for a single moment — and I’m going to follow it to the letter.

It doesn’t hurt that she’s the most attractive human female I’ve ever seen. Her curvy hips and her full, round breasts are lost on these puny human males. They are made for firm, Zoran hands.

  My hands.

She steps into an elevator and I follow right behind her. The lift is small and my half-naked body is pressed right against hers. I can smell her hair, her scent, her arousal.

  “Do you mind?”

“I am your bodyguard,” I growl. “I am protecting you.”

“The only thing I need protection from is you,” she snaps. “Back off.”

The elevator is not made for a broad-shouldered Zoran like myself. My arms touch both walls, my head bumping into the ceiling.

  “I can’t.”

“I can see that,” she says. “Are you… are you sniffing my hair?”

“Not just your hair,” I growl.

Her eyes grow wide with shock. “Pervert!”

“My senses are heightened,” I say. “My hearing is better, my vision is better, and yes, my sense of smell is better, so your arousal is not lost on me.”

“My w-w-w-what,” she stammers, her blue eyes flickering with anger. “Stop it!”

“I can not,” I say. “But I’ll pay it no mind.”

The doors open with a ping and she strides down the hall as fast as she can. Keeping up with her is easy for me, for she has to take two steps for every one of mine.

She walks into her personal quarters and slams the button on the wall. The doors close behind me, but I’m already inside.

“What are you doing here?” she says exasperated as she whirls around. “These are my quarters!”

“I am your bodyguard,” I repeat.

She rolls her eyes. “We’ve established that. Do you always follow orders so obediently?”

  “No,” I growl.

Only when they upset shapely human females like yourself.

She crosses her arms over her chest. “Who are you, anyway?”

  “Kazim.”

“Yes, you said that already. That’s your name, but not who you are. Why are you dressed like some, some… boxer? You’re not a normal soldier, are you?”

Her blue eyes scan my nearly-naked frame, and I can see her pupils dilate when she looks at the bulge in my shorts. I can’t help it — her intoxicating smell, her flushed cheeks, the way her bosom stretches the fabric of her shirt… post-fight adrenaline is still coursing through my veins, and I know the perfect way to get it all out of my system.

Fucking Sarah right against the wall.

“I am Kazim,” I say. “That’s all you need to know.”

“Not good enough,” she says. “You need to give me more than that.”

  “No.”

  “No?”

  “No,” I repeat.

  “You’re impossible.”

  “No, I am your bodyguard.”

She throws up her hands in frustration, and I can’t suppress a smirk. I know this mission will take months, but if I can spend all that time annoying the curvy human, it’ll fly by.

The door whirs open, and I turn around, instinctively raising my fists. A dark-haired human female stops dead in her tracks, her brown eyes growing as wide as saucers.

Hey frightened eyes scan my nearly-naked frame, and a playful smile forms on her lips.

“Sarah,” she laughs. “I never thought you the type for a Zoran warrior! And what a warrior…”

“He’s not…” Sarah sighs, resting her forehead in her hands. “He’s my bodyguard.”

“I am Kazim,” I growl as I lower my fists. The tiny female poses no threat.

“That’s most of his vocabulary right there,” Sarah says.

“Wow,” the dark-haired female says before offering her hand to me. “Nice to meet you Kazim, I am Ava, Dr. Graham’s research assistant.”

I grab her hand and squeeze it, and Ava winces with pain.

  “Sorry.”

“No, my mistake for trying to shake hands with a Zoran,” she says as she flaps her hand. “I didn’t know you needed protection, Sarah?”

“I don’t,” she answers firmly. “He’s a ‘gift’ from the captain.”

“What a gift he is,” Ava purrs, her eyes returning to my broad chest.

The dark-haired female is not unattractive, but I have no interest in hers. I have my sights set on the curvy Sarah.

“Please,” Sarah says. “Just look at him.”

  “I am,” Ava smirks.

Most human females are intimidated by my stature, my muscles, my sheer presence… the dark-haired one, however, doesn’t seem to share this trait with her kin.

“He looks like a prizefighter. He’s probably on the run or something. Just my luck.”

  Perceptive.

“I am here to facilitate the exodus,” I say, changing the subject.

“The ‘exodus’? Is that what this mission means to you?” Sarah says, suddenly angry. “Do the Zorans want to emigrate that much? Don’t we as mankind deserve some credit? Whatever happened to peaceful coexistence?”

“You tell me,” I growl. “As if you humans want us around. I can smell your fear. Wherever I go, humans stare. Humans cross the street to avoid me. They spit on my name. They curse me. Don’t fucking talk to
me about peaceful coexistence.”

Sarah is taken aback by my sudden outburst, her hands clutched to her breasts. The mood has shifted — anger now courses through my veins, instead of lust.

“To be perfectly honest, you do look like you just beat someone to death with your bare hands,” Ava says.

  “Not helping,” Sarah says.

  “Just saying.”

“Please just go,” she sighs. “I’ll deal with… this.”

Ava nods. “I came to say that the captain is preparing for take-off. The view from the observation deck is supposed to be quite good.”

She turns and leaves, and we’re alone once more.

“I don’t know how we’re going to make this work, but first of all, you need a shower,” Sarah says. “You are mucking up my room with your musk.”

“Where do you want me to go?”

She bites her bottom lip. “You don’t have a room of your own yet, do you? I suppose you can use my shower — just this once. It’s right through that door.”

  “Very well,” I say.

I hook my thumbs into my waistband and pull my shorts down with one tug. Fully naked I stride across the room towards the bathroom, while Sarah’s moon-sized eyes follow my every move.

“W-w-what,” she stammers. “You’re… ugh. Zorans!”

“What?” I ask, turning to face Sarah, exposing every inch of my sculpted blue body to her. The more she gets embarrassed, the more her eyes try to look away, the harder I get.

She clasps her hands in front of her face, but I can see she’s peeping through the gaps.

  “Go,” she says. “Please.”

I smirk to myself and walk into the bathroom, leaving the door wide open. A moment later the warm rays of water rain down on me, and I relax my shoulders.

My hands move down my body, down my abs, and find my member hard and throbbing.

Yes, I’m going to have a lot of fun these coming months guarding Sarah…

  4

  Sarah

I know I’ve said it before, but this just can not be happening!

I’m about to embark on the most important mission of my life: The search for new planets. The first time in over fifty years, since the Tyk’ix War that led to the Zoran immigration to Earth and their destructive virus that threw us back decades in time technology-wise, that humanity will be taking to the stars once more…

And all I can think about is the naked Zoran warrior in my shower.

I should be decorating my office, or meeting with my staff, or saying goodbye to Earth from the observation deck, but instead I find myself peeping through the crack in the door.

Well, it’s my shower, so it’s not really peeping, is it?

That’s what I tell myself when I sneak a look.

And my heart skips a beat when I see the water run down Kazim’s broad shoulders. I’ve never seen so much man before.

Sure, I’ve seen Zorans before, but from a distance. I’ve never had one butt-naked in my shower before. They fascinate and terrify me in equal measure. Zorans have a penchant for bloodlust. They are born warriors.

I personally abhor violence — so I shouldn’t be so insanely attracted to him. He’s headstrong. Cocky. And judging by his scars, his tattoos, his knuckles, no stranger to violence.

So why is my heart beating like a drum? Why is my stomach fluttering? Why is there heat pooling in my lap?

I know I have to get out of here fast, before I do something I regret. There’s many more months of this mission left. No reason to complicate it by throwing myself at this naked barbarian!

Kazim turns around, his eyes closed, and I have to bite my tongue to keep from gasping out loud. The Zoran warrior is fully hard, and his cock is every bit as impressive as he is. It’s big, throbbing, and to my surprise, purple! The same beautiful shade as his radiant eyes.

That’s a bit of trivia that they don’t teach you at Alien Studies.

With buckling knees I grab the door handle and slam it shut. It was either that or give into my wicked desires, and that’s something I’m just not willing to do.

  Yet.

What have I gotten myself into?

“Ah, you made it,” Ava says. She hands me a drink and I gulp it down in one instant.

The entire crew has assembled in the observation deck to say goodbye to Earth. Depending on how the mission goes, it’ll be anywhere from three to six months before we see our familiar orb again. Assuming we don’t run into any trouble…

I’m not expecting it, but the Federation made every crew member sign their wills, none the less. We all know what we signed up for. There will be no cavalry to save us if things go sour.

“What’s wrong with you?” Ava asks surprised when I slam the glass down on the table. “You’re all red and flushed. Wait, don’t tell me…”

“Zip it,” I say. “I mean it. Not another word.”

“You didn’t,” she says. “You minx!”

“I didn’t, you got that right.”

She cocks her eyebrow. “Right. So it’s the view that’s gotten you all hot and bothered, hm?”

“Keep your voice down,” I whisper. “And if you really want to know, Kazim just…”

I don’t even know how I’m going to explain it. This situation is too absurd for words. I never pictured myself having this conversation, not in one million years. I’m a bookworm. Not the kind of girl to be flashed by alien bad boys.

“…exposed himself,” I whisper. “I told him to take a shower, and he just… stripped down! Can you believe that?!”

  “Hot,” Ava replies.

“What?!” I say. “That’s not hot! That’s… sexual intimidation. I think.”

“Not if you liked it,” she says, wiggling her eyebrows.

“I can’t believe you. I thought you’d have my back.”

“Oh come on,” Ava laughs. “Live a little. He didn’t try anything, did he?”

  “No.”

“So what’s the harm? You got free tickets to the gun show. I’m jealous, honey.”

“Well, don’t be. It’s not that impressive.”

  That’s a total lie.

“I’m sure it wasn’t,” Ava smirks. “That’s why you’re still as red as a beet.”

“Either way, if Kazim keeps hounding me, I won’t get a moment of work done this entire mission.”

  “So… what’s the problem?”

I scrunch my nose. “For a research assistant, you have astoundingly little interest in actual research, you know that?”

“What are you talking about? I’m just telling you to put Alien Studies into practice, that’s all. Get some first hand experience.”

“For the last time, I’m not sleeping with him!”

Heads turn my way after that outburst, which, just my luck, happened just when there was a lull.

  Great.

I grab another drink and down it in one gulp. I need it to calm my nerves. I keep seeing Kazim in all his naked glory every time I close my eyes.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to scrub it from my memory.

“We need to focus on the mission,” I tell Ava. “I’m supposed to be your boss. This is all… not how I wanted this all to go.”

“Don’t worry,” she says. “I won’t put it in my thesis.”

  “Good.”

“Though, now that I think about it, seeing how a Zoran renegade like Kazim operates in such a closed, hierarchic environment like the Spearhead would make for an excellent research topic…”

“Don’t even think about it,” I warn her. “We have much more important things to consider. Kazim is supposed to be the last thing on our minds. We need to finish furnishing the lab, unpack everything, and then we have a lot of literature to go through. We need to be prepared for anything we might encounter once we get into deep space. If we meet any alien lifeforms, the captain will be looking at us two for answers.”

  “Yes, ma’am,” Ava nods.

I hope my little speech h
as restored a shred of my dignity. Being faced with Kazim’s naked body is not how I imagined my first day as chief scientist.

The ship rumbles. Finally, we are on our way. I can stop worrying about my jangling nerves for a brief moment.

Everyone huddles together in front of the large, room-spanning window, and we watch in stunned silence as Earth grows smaller and smaller, until it’s nothing but a blip in the horizon — and then it’s gone.

The only place I’ve ever known has now disappeared from my sight. We’re on to explore new worlds, break through boundaries, go where humanity hasn’t gone before.

It’s enough to make you fall quiet with contemplation.

“You know, I don’t see why you don’t just get it out of your system,” Ava says after a moment of silence.

“Get what out of my system?”

  “Kazim,” she answers.

All this grandeur, the mind boggling scope of the universe in front of us, and all she can think about is that alien warrior and where he should put his massive cock!

“After you’ve sampled the goods, as it were, you can focus on work. Now, you’re just going to drive yourself insane wondering what it’s like,” she continues. “Trust me, I speak from experience. It’s like a bandage, it’s better to just rip it off. Or hop on as it were, in this case.”

“No way,” I tell Ava. “No way no way no way. Not going to happen. Not in a million years. And don’t ever try to talk me into doing that ever again.”

“Your loss,” she says with a smirk.

How do I tell her that I’m actually still a virgin?

I’d be lying if I said Kazim isn’t on my mind, but my first can’t be some rough, foul-mouthed alien warrior. It needs to be special. It needs to mean something.

I’m not about to be another notch on some pit fighter’s belt.

  5

  Kazim

With one hand I grab the base of my cock tightly, while my hand moves so quickly it is nothing but a blur. Normally I don’t spill my seed, but Sarah’s pheromones have awakened a fire deep inside of me.

  And I need a release.

My eyes are closed, the water running down my body, as I imagine how good her legs would feel wrapped around my waist, how her breasts would feel in my hands, how her tongue would feel in my mouth.
