Tentacle Dreams Page 2

“Shouldn’t this be weird?” Because in a way it was a huge-ass relief. Not him knowing about my sex dream in particular, but because it meant he had at least minimal feelings for me—probably—maybe. “Wait. Are you interested in me?” Because keeping things in my head was not in my abilities at the moment.

“Since the first day I moved in and fell asleep on the couch. My head was pounding—you brought me a bologna sandwich.” I had, too, not sure what else to do. I felt so bad for him. Moving sucked on a good day—moving with a migraine brought sucking to a whole new level. “And you?”

“Since the day you made me watch Princess Bride, and we sat on the couch and laughed and laughed.”

“I still can’t believe no one introduced you to that movie before. It’s a masterpiece.”

“So where does this leave us?” Please say dating, kissing, snuggling...more.

“I need to tell you something. Something…” He inhaled deeply and let it out slowly. “Band-Aid time.”

  “What?”

“As in yanking it off.” He took another deep breath. “Don’t interrupt me, okay?”

  I nodded.

“Thanks.” Three more deep breaths. “That wasn’t a dream you had—we had. I mean it was, but it was more. That is a sign of—potential. It means we both are or could—I’m getting this wrong. You're my mate.”

My heart pounded. Mate. My uncle always called his husband a mate, and they were the epitome of #relationshipgoals if I ever saw any.

I didn’t say anything, my head filled with more questions than I could even begin to file away for later.

He wants or at least thinks he is my mate. That is so much more than a friend or a let’s date or a let’s bang even.

“And yes, those tentacles are me, the real me or at least half shifted me.” He swallowed hard. “I’m an octopus shifter. Yes. Shifters are real. Yes. I’m kind of a weird one. Yes. I’m afraid it’s a deal breaker. Yes. I love you.”

“I love you.” It just spilled from my mouth and felt so true and right I had to say it again. “I love you. And I don’t care that you’re a shifter. You know my uncle who calls every few months to make sure I’m eating?”

“And every month you say, ‘Too much.’” He reached across the table, and I snatched his hand in mine.

“That one. He’s a bear.” Kind of a scary one at that. If I ran into him in the woods, and didn’t know who he was, of course, I’d piss myself for sure.

“So you're fine with the shifter thing.”

“I’m fine with the you thing—all of you.” I squeezed his hand. “So where does this leave us?”

“At the beginning of something—everything.” He stood up, our hands still connected, and I joined him, wrapping my arms around him and sealing our lips together in a kiss.

I couldn’t think of a better way to start our everything.

When fate is determined to send you a mate—there is no hiding…

Alpha Maxim Young, heir apparent to the Crimson Cliff Pack has no desire to find his true mate and be forced to take over the pack from his alpha father. He likes his life just as it is. As the Omega Moon approaches, the night when shifters can see the true mate fate has sent for them, he wants no part of the pack celebration—or as he thinks of it, their night of desperation. Maxim does the only thing he can think of and heads to the local human bar.

Bartender Ollie begrudgingly takes an extra shift when his coworker calls him last minute. His grandmother always warned him to stay away from what she called the Omega Moon, going so far as to send him reminders in the form of recycled greeting cards. It was hogwash, and he knew it, but something about her pleas had him obeying—until now. What harm could it do to help out his single-dad coworker? It was just a stupid moon phase.

When Maxim takes a seat at the bar, Ollie is instantly drawn to him in a way he never has been to anyone before—he just can’t keep his mind, both upper and lower, off of the man. He decides to throw his no-one-night-stand rules out the window and give in to his desire at the end of the evening. It isn’t until they walk out of the bar to part ways that things get—weird.

Omega Moon is the first book in the Crimson Cliff Pack series of super sweet with naughty heat m/m mpreg shifter romances. It features a stubborn alpha, his fated mate who is shocked to discover he is not quite human, an adorable kitten, a new job Maxim never wanted, and the magic of true love. While this is book one of the Crimson Cliff Pack series, each story stands alone and gives the couple their happy ending, including the birth of a sweet baby who steals their hearts. If you love your alphas hawt, your omegas strong, and your mpreg with heart, this book is for you.
