His to Protect: Book 1 in the Bound to Him Series Page 7

by Sandra Antoni

Her hips met mine with every thrust, and her moans of pleasure were music to my ears. When she threw her head back, her pussy tightened around me, squeezing my cock as her orgasm swept her away. I had never seen anything so beautiful, and I had never felt anything more wonderful. My lips captured hers, and I breathed in her air, giving her my own.

She cried out against me and I smothered her cries with my mouth. Her hands gripped my hair, holding me to her as I fucked her. As I claimed her. As I mated her. I pumped into her, wanting to extend her pleasure, but knowing that I was already so close.

She rode that climax until I felt my cock thicken inside of her, stretching her tight pussy even more. I groaned against her mouth before throwing my head back and shooting thick streams of my seed inside her, coating her womb with my essence and marking her. She was mine.

When I was replete, I rolled to my back on the bed, pulling her with me so that she laid on my chest and our legs tangled together. My cock was still buried deep inside her, and even though I was already spent, my cock was still mostly hard. I was not ready to pull out of her moist heat just yet. My cock belonged right there, deep inside of her.

Chelsea’s breath was coming out in soft pants, and I wrapped my arms around her back, holding her tightly. Her chest was pressed against mine, and I could feel her heart racing. It was beating in rhythm with mine.

I gently stroked her soft skin, running my hands over her back and down to cup her ass. One of these days, I would take her there as well, but we had time for that. We had forever. Now, I just needed to convince her of that.

“Chelsea, are you okay?” I asked her softly. She tilted her head up so that she could see my face. She was radiant, and her smile practically made her face glow.

“Mm-hmmm,” I heard her sleepy reply. I sighed deeply. I had been afraid that I would hurt her, but at least my wolf was finally content.

“I’ve never done this before,” I heard her say next. She had turned her head away so I could no longer see her face, and I was unsure of what she meant exactly.

“What do you mean?” I asked softly, running my fingers through her hair and down her back.

“This. I mean us. Sex. I’ve never had sex with someone I just met. It isn’t like me,” she whispered, and I thought I heard regret in her voice. Maybe she was just embarrassed. I wasn’t exactly the type to have a one night stand either, and I had never slept with someone before whom I had just met either.

I pulled out of her and quickly flipped her onto her back on the bed beside me. Propping myself up on my elbow, I looked down at her. I could not stop touching her and my hand ran over her skin in a gentle caress, but she would not meet my eyes. I rested my hand on her hip.

“Chelsea, it’s different between us. I told you that I felt the pull too. I don’t want to go back to my place. I don’t want to forget this happened. I don’t want you to regret this. That was the most wonderful experience of my life, and I need you to know that I mean it,” I told her gently.

She slowly turned her eyes to my face, and she studied me for a few moments. She was so beautiful and now she was mine.

“Do you really mean that? Because that’s how it was for me as well,” she finally replied.

I pulled her into my arms and held her. She was insecure about us for right now, but I wholly intended to change that. I felt her relax against me, and I was relieved. This woman had suddenly become my whole world, but there were still some things that I needed to discover about her. There were too many unanswered questions, and I intended to fill in those blanks for her.

Once she fell asleep, I slowly made my way from the bed. Reaching for my jeans, I pulled out my cellphone. I sent a text to Brady asking him to look into Chelsea’s birth mother, Marissa Feldman.

I needed to know who she was and why Chelsea could heal like a shifter. After I sent Brady everything that I knew, I crawled back into the bed and pulled Chelsea into my arms. With her head on my shoulder, and my arm around her back, I closed my eyes.

  Chapter 9

  Chelsea

When I woke the next morning, the first thing I became aware of was the heat coming from the body beside me. My eyes flew open in alarm, but then I saw Zeke. He was still asleep, so I held completely still and studied him closely.

Last night had been the most amazing night of my life. I could feel my pussy getting wet just thinking about it. My fingers itched to reach out and touch him, but I didn’t want to disturb him just yet. My eyes roamed over his pecs, and I was sure that I had never seen more muscular ones.

His biceps were large enough that it looked like he was flexing in his sleep. It was clear why his security company was so successful. I felt small next to him. I knew my body was fit, but my 5’8” had nothing on his height and build.

“Do you like what you see?” Zeke asked, his eyes still closed. I chuckled.

“How do you know what I am looking at if your eyes are closed?” I asked him. Now that he was awake, I reached out and spread my hand out over his chest. Wow! Holy moly, the muscles in this man. I had felt all of them last night, but in the daylight, he was even more impressive.

“You must do some heavy lifting. Do you have a home gym?” I asked him, and he laughed. Then he opened his eyes and turned on his side and looked at me.

He reached his hand up to my cheek, his thumb rubbing over my lips. I sighed at his tenderness. I really didn’t know this man, but it seemed like I was tied to him somehow. His next words surprised me.

“No regrets?” he asked me, and I studied his eyes for a moment. Then I shook my head.

“No regrets,” I whispered back. He leaned forward and kissed my forehead. That touch warmed my insides, and then he leaned back.

“Are you ready to see Tucson?” he asked next, surprising me at the sudden change of topic. I must have given him a funny look because he laughed again.

“I told you that I was going to show you the town, and I have already made plans for us. Let me take a look at that ankle first,” he said, and I reluctantly agreed.

He threw the covers off both of us, and goosebumps instantly covered my skin. It was cold in the room, but the heated look that Zeke gave me as his eyes roamed my body sent a wave of heat through me. He sat up and moved to the end of the bed and gently lifted my foot.

His fingers pressed all around the formerly extremely painful and swollen ankle, but there were only a few places that were still tender. He looked down at me and his eyes met mine.

“Does that hurt at all?” he asked me with a look of concern.

“It’s a bit tender in some places, but it doesn’t hurt like before,” I assured him.

I had always healed quickly, especially from bruises. Sure, it was something that was unnatural for everyone else, but I had just always been that way. When he stood from the bed and reached for my hand, I put my hand in his and let him help me up.

“You might be off those crutches even sooner than we thought,” he said with a smile, helping me to sit up.

It was about an hour later that Zeke held the door open and we headed to his car. It had surprised me when I had been able to put some weight on my right foot without much pain. Maybe Zeke had been right, and the sprain wasn’t as bad as we thought it had been. However, he had insisted that I use the crutches today to be safe.

Once we left the resort, we drove for about fifteen minutes and I studied our surroundings out the window. It was so beautiful here. When he pulled into a little café, he parked the car. Then he got out and came around and helped me from the car. We made our way inside.

“I figured we’d start with breakfast today,” Zeke told me when we had been seated. “I have a busy few days planned if you think you are up to it,” he continued with that adorable smile on his lips.

It took me a minute to reply, and when my eyes met Zeke’s, he gave me a concerned look. I reached across the table and laid my hand over his. He turned his hand and laced our fingers together.

  “I am u
p for whatever you have planned, as long as it isn’t a lot of walking,” I finally said. The adorable smile spread across his face once again. His smile made my stomach do flip flops.

“I could always carry you,” he said in an amused tone, and I laughed. But then his expression turned serious again.

“There’s something more though, isn’t there?” he asked.

I squeezed his hand, not wanting to let go. Somehow, he had learned to read me well in the short time that we had spent together, and it surprised me. He seemed more in tune to my emotions than any boyfriend of mine in the past had ever been. Of course, he wasn’t exactly my boyfriend either.

“It’s just…I’m only here for two weeks, and then I have to return home. I don’t…I mean…” I couldn’t find the right words to explain, but he cut me off before I could say anything more.

“Don’t say anything else. I know what you are thinking, Chelsea, but we have almost two full weeks. Let’s just focus on that and see how much we can accomplish in that time,” he said. That would have to be enough because it was all we had, so I readily agreed.

Breakfast was wonderful. This little café was eclectic, and I definitely enjoyed the ambiance of the place. We both got made-to-order omelets, and we kept up a conversation as we ate. Zeke was so personable, and I had not seen anything about him that I did not like. Except that he lived in Arizona, but I quickly pushed that thought away. We had two weeks.

Jessica would be flipping her shit right now if she knew that I had taken her advice. The opportunity had presented itself, but the only problem now was that I was falling for him. Jessica would never believe that. I mean, I’d only known him less than forty-eight hours, but I already knew that it was true.

Whatever this was that connected Zeke and me, I knew that I was going to be heading back to Kansas City with a broken heart. However, like Zeke had said, we still had two weeks ahead of us, and that would have to be enough. So, my plan was to enjoy the time that we had together.

When we left the café and were on the road once again, I glanced over at Zeke. He turned an adorable smile on me and reached for my hand. I could get used to this, but I knew I shouldn’t.

Glancing out the window, I wondered where we were headed. I didn’t ask any questions because I liked surprises. Zeke must have some kind of internal radar directed at my thoughts.

“How come you haven’t asked where we are headed yet? Aren’t you curious?” he asked, and I grinned over at him.

“I can’t help it. Sure, I’m curious, but I love surprises. That, and I figured if it wasn’t a surprise, then you would have already told me,” I replied. He laughed and the sound filled the car. Oh yes, I could definitely get used to this. To Zeke.

When we pulled down a long driveway, it looked like we were approaching a small airport. A very small airport. I gave Zeke a funny look as he parked the car.

“Do you trust me?” he asked me, lifting my hand to his lips and pressing a kiss to my knuckles. I just nodded. There was no doubt in my mind that I trusted him, but I did not trust myself to speak just yet. I felt myself gulp as I swallowed a lump in my throat.

When we were out of the car, we headed towards a door on the side of a small building. I moved slowly with the crutches, but Zeke put his hand on my back. It was steadying and comforting. Zeke held open the door and I stepped inside. We entered what looked like a small waiting area that ran the length of the room.

To our left was a wall of windows that looked into an office. There was a man sitting at a desk with a phone to his ear. When he looked up and saw us, he indicated with his hand to give him a minute. Zeke nodded back at him and waved.

A few minutes later, I was being introduced to another friend of Zeke’s. Matthew Stark. Owner of this airstrip and a pilot. I saw him take in the crutches.

“You definitely won’t need to worry about using those where we are headed,” Matthew said with a smile.

I glanced over at Zeke and he just winked at me. That had me melting inside…from just a look. I was so head over heels for him, and I knew this could only end in heartache for me. However, I was not willing to end it.

“If you guys are ready, follow me,” Matthew said, and turned and headed across the room to the opposite wall from where we had entered. He pushed open a door that led outside.

Both men walked slowly enough that I could keep up with them and I was grateful. Zeke put his hand on my back again as we walked outside together. Matthew led us a good distance away from the building and towards a waiting helicopter. I looked up at Zeke, but he just smiled down at me.

Matthew opened the door of the helicopter and Zeke took the crutches from me and slid them in on the floor. Then he reached around my waist and lifted me up and into the seat, climbing in behind me. Matthew opened the pilot’s door and stepped inside.

Zeke helped me get the seatbelt straps fastened, and I felt myself beginning to panic. Flying was not my favorite, and I had never been in a helicopter before. Zeke must have had that internal radar focused on my thoughts again. He was kneeling beside me, and he reached up and cupped my cheeks with his hands.

“Do you trust me?” he asked again. I reached up and grasped his wrists. Then I nodded. His lips met mine. It was a chaste kiss, but it was what I needed to calm my racing heart.

When we had our headphones on, it was odd to hear Zeke’s voice in my head like this. We kept up a continual conversation, and I knew what he was doing. He was trying to distract me, and I thought it was sweet. With my hand tucked in his, we waited for the pilot to get the helicopter ready, and then we were taking off.

Matthew had obviously done this hundreds of times, and he pointed out all kinds of sights to see beneath us as we flew over the city. I had to pull out my phone and take pictures. This would probably be my only opportunity to see Tucson from a helicopter.

When Matthew announced that we were approaching Saguaro National Park, I looked over at Zeke with my eyes open wide, and he grinned back at me.

“What can I say? You said you wanted to see it, and this was the best way that didn’t require crutches and lots of walking,” he replied with that adorable grin that I was coming to love.

The views from the sky were amazing, and I was pretty sure the smile never left my face, even though I was still anxious about being in a helicopter. I got some amazing photos, and once I put my phone away, Zeke took my hand in his once again. Over an hour later, we were headed back to the airstrip.

Once the rotors had come to a stop, Zeke stepped down from the helicopter and lifted me to the ground. Then he handed me the crutches. With his hand once again on my back, we made our way back inside the building. After a very sincere thank you to Matthew, Zeke and I headed back to his car.

When we were back on the main road, I could not help exclaiming about what I was now considering an adventure. It had been amazing, even though I was grateful to be back on the ground once again. It had been a thrilling experience, and I could not contain my excitement.

Pulling out my phone, I looked back over the photos I had taken. I had even gotten one of Zeke with that adorable smile on his face. That would definitely be a photo that I treasured for a long time. In fact, it was my favorite out of all of them.

A little while later, I could tell that Zeke had a specific destination in mind. It seemed like we were heading back to the resort, but I was hoping that our time together wasn’t over already. When we pulled down the long drive to the resort, I tried to keep the disappointment from my face, but Zeke surprised me when he pulled up to the main building.

I glanced over at him, but he didn’t say anything. He just opened his door and came around to my side. When he helped me from the car, he stepped towards me and reached around my waist, pulling me against him.

His lips met mine, and I was lost all over again. All rational thought left me, and all I was aware of was his masculine scent, the warmth of his lips on mine, and the heat from his body enveloping me.

  His ton
gue explored my mouth as if he were searching for treasure, and I met his intensity head on. I could not get enough of him or the taste of him. He had my insides turning to mush, and only he and I mattered in that moment.

When he leaned back, his hands tightened around my waist to steady me. A blissful sigh escaped me, and Zeke chuckled. My knees had gone weak, and that was a bad thing, especially considering that I only had one good leg to stand on to begin with. I was even more grateful for the crutches at that moment.

“I told you that I wanted to spend as much time as possible with you, and that means as many hours as you are willing to spend with me,” he said gently. I knew that he was being completely honest and that warmed me inside.

“I’d like that too. When I saw you were heading here to the resort, I thought you were bringing me back,” I admitted softly. He reached up and caressed my cheek, his eyes intently focused on mine. Someone help me, I was drowning again.

“I know you did. I could see it on your face. But actually, this resort has one of my favorite restaurants inside. Will you join me for lunch?” he asked tenderly.

“Of course, I will,” I managed to say on a shaky voice. He took a step back and I settled the crutches under my arms. With his hand once again on my back, we made our way inside the restaurant.

We were seated next to the window, and the view was amazing. The landscaping around the resort was all native plants from the area, and the mountains were a wonderful backdrop in the distance. It was breathtaking.

Once Zeke gave the waitress our order, we talked softly while we waited for our food. We were taking turns asking each other questions to get to know each other better. I’d asked Zeke to order for me since it was his favorite restaurant, and he knew what was good here. I liked pretty much everything.

When the waitress arrived at our table with the food, my eyes opened wide and I glanced over at Zeke. The waitress laid plate after plate on our table until the tray she carried was empty. There was enough food here to easily feed at least eight people.
