“It’s a date, sweetheart,” she replied, kissing him softly. “I’m crazy in love with you.”

Brock relaxed against the bed and released a big sigh. “That’s a relief.” He nuzzled her throat and came up over her on the bed, another teasing glint entering his eyes. “A really good event planner is hard to find.”

  Epilogue

“G eckos? There are geckos roaming the grounds again?”

Brock glanced around the Garden Pavilion where his mother and Matthew were speaking vows. His brother Trent and his fiancée, Julia, were standing next to them.

“Don’t look at me,” Vanessa whispered, innocently. “I learned my lesson.”

“It’s taken care of, boss,” Akamu said quietly. “Willie Benton has been collecting them for a week and they got loose on the property.”

“Got loose? Or were let out?” Their young hotel guest had a reputation for making mischief.

Akamu shrugged. “Don’t know. There must have been about three dozen running around. Security has them all rounded up.”

Brock nodded and glanced at his beautiful fiancée. Soon they’d be saying their vows and Brock couldn’t wait. He took her hand and together they watched the weddings take place without a hitch.

Sarah Rose, famous country singer and now his best friend, Code’s, wife sang sweet ballads throughout the ceremony, looking happily pregnant. Code stood beside her with pride.

Evan and Laney stood as best man and maid of honor, and little John Charles Tyler Junior sat in his stroller, the youngest ever Tempest Maui ring bearer.

The ceremony ended amid a round of applause from family and friends as the newly married couples made their way down the aisle.

Afterward, the Tylers got together for a brief meeting of the minds. Brock gave a toast then took Vanessa in his arms. “I’m gracefully bowing out of the competition with Trent even though I’m certain I’m the winner.”

He winked at his fiancée and joy filled his heart enough to last an eternity. No more games for him either. He considered himself a winner, just by loving Vanessa.

“Wait a minute,” Trent said, holding Julia’s hand. “You beat me to the punch, brother. I was planning on opting out of the competition.” He and Julia exchanged loving glances. “Tempest West is thriving and I’m sure I’m the winner, but it’s not important now.”

Brock squeezed Vanessa’s shoulder, bringing her closer. “So I’m out and you’re out.”

They all turned to Evan, who held his new son with his wife Laney looking on. “You guys are no fun anymore.”

Brock glanced at Trent and when he nodded, Brock stepped up. “Trent and I agree that Dad’s T-Bird should go to you, Evan.”

Rebecca stood with tears in her eyes, beside her new husband, Matthew. “I think that’s fair.”

When Evan balked, Brock went on. “For your son. He’s the first Tyler heir—the beginning of a new generation. It’s fitting that John Charles gets the car when he’s old enough.”

“Like when he’s thirty,” Laney said seriously and everyone laughed.

Evan peered lovingly at the son he held in his arms. “Did you hear that? You’re not even one yet and you’ve got your first set of wheels already. Say thank-you to your uncles.”

And John Charles Tyler Junior promptly cooed.
