The Truth Is Out Page 3

Maze didn’t respond to what Blaze said, she just sat there listening and thinking. Blaze said a few more things to Maze and then he left. His point for coming over to Maze’s was to get her to think about letting it all go with her and Kimberly. Blaze knew that it may be a long shot, but he felt that he had to try.

The next morning when Maze woke up, she laid in her bed for a while before picking up her phone and calling Miracle. Maze asked Miracle to tell Kilo to meet her at the hospital. Miracle was proud of Maze and told her that she would show her just how proud she was of her later. However, after the Maze got up, she took a shower and got dressed and headed up to the hospital, but not before she made a few stops.

  Five Hours Later

  “What the fuck just happened?”

“If you don’t know then when have a problem.”

  “Ha-ha-ha…very funny.”

  “I’m just saying.”

“Miracle is going to kill the both of us.”

“I’m not scared of Miracle, but if you are then….”

“She’s your sister and we just…”

Maze looked at Success waiting on her to say something, but she wasn’t ready for what she said.

“Look Maze, I’ve been wanting you ever since the first day I saw you. Miracle can’t treat you or love you the way that I can.”

“I love Miracle and don’t want to hurt her so she can’t find out about this. Nor can this happen again.”

“It happened again and again already. Don’t get me wrong I care very deeply for Miracle too. She is my sister, but I want you Maze.”

“I have to go Success,” Maze said getting up out the bed just as her phone was ringing.

Maze looked at her phone and then back at Success. Maze didn’t know if she should answer her phone or not. Success just sat in the bed with a smirk on her face. Maze didn’t answer but knew she had to leave, so she went into the bathroom to shower. Once Maze was showered and dressed, she left and called Miracle once she got into her car. Miracle was upset that Maze didn’t show up to the hospital, and the fact that she wasn’t answering her phone. Maze lied and said that her phone had died, and she had got caught up at the studio. Maze wanted to meet up with Miracle, but Miracle told her that she had something to do and that she would call her later. They ended their call and Maze went home.

  Chapter Six

The next morning Maze was feeling bad about what happened between her and Success, so she wanted to do something nice for Miracle. The plan was to surprise Miracle with balloons, candy, flowers and breakfast, but when Maze was about to pull up to Miracle’s house, she saw Kilo coming out. Maze was more than hurt to see Kilo coming out of Miracle’s house. It was like her heart had broken in a million pieces. She just turned around and left. The first dumpster she saw she took everything that she had for Miracle and threw it away. Maze hadn’t felt like this in years. It was déjà vu for her all over again.

Just as Maze was getting back into her car, her phone rang.

  “Hello.”

“Can I see you this morning?”

Maze paused for a second before she responded, “Yeah, I’m on my way.” Maze ended the call and headed over to Success’ house.

When Maze pulled up to Success’ house, she sat in her car for a few minutes thinking if she should go in or not. Before she could make up her mind, Success opened the door with just her bra and panties on. Maze didn’t think anymore, she just got out of the car and went inside. They didn’t waste any time at getting it on. They were like two jack rabbits ready to mate.

“I’m so glad you came over,” Success stated as she was laying in Maze’s arms.

  “Is that right?”

“Yes, that’s right. I didn’t think you were going to come.”

  “Well I did,” Maze replied.

“Yes, you did,” Success said as she started kissing Maze on her neck.

“Here you go about to start something.”

“I might be trying to start something,” Success said in between kissing Maze now on the lips.

“You want some more don’t you?” Maze teased kissing her back.

  “Yes, I do.”

Nothing else was said after that. They were back at it and this time it was slow and easy. Maze and Success wasn’t just having sex, but it was a little love making going on. Once the second round was over, Success got up and went in the kitchen to cook them something to eat. While Success was in the kitchen, Maze thought about Miracle, but more on the fact that she saw Kilo coming out of her house early in the morning. Maze really couldn’t believe that Miracle would be with Kilo, but then she knew Kilo always wanted what she had and seemed to always get it.

Success walked back into the bedroom with two plates of bacon, eggs and toast. She handed Maze her plate and then put her plate down. She went back into the kitchen and came back with two glasses of OJ.

  “Thank you.”

  “You are more than welcome.”

They sat in silence for a few minutes until Success said something.

  “What’s on your mind?”

  “Nothing,” Maze replied.

“You’re thinking about Miracle, aren’t you?”

Maze looked over at Success and smirked. “No, I’m thinking that you’re not really a good cook, so why don’t we go out and get us something to eat.”

Success laughed but agreed that it would be best that they went out to eat. They showered and got dress and headed out. They ended up at this little soul food spot where they served good, hot, full breakfast. They sat down and the waitress came over and took their order. As they sat there waiting on their food they talked and laughed. Maze was learning that Success and Miracle are like night and day. Maze was really enjoying her time with Success, when all hell broke loose.

“What the fuck do we have here?”

Maze looked up and right in the face of Miracle, but before she could say anything, Kilo walked in.

“Well hello sister, come sit with us,” Success suggested as she got up and sat next to Maze.

Success had a smirk on her face that let Miracle know that it was really something going on between them. Miracle and Kilo sat down across from Maze and Success. Maze wasn’t feeling it, and neither was Miracle. Success and Kilo was enjoying the discomfort that was going on.

“So, what are the two of you up to?” Miracle asked.

“Looks like the same thing the two of you are, getting something to eat,” Success replied with a smirk.

“I didn’t know the two of were hanging out,” Miracle stated looking at Maze.

“Yeah well, I didn’t know you two were either,” Maze replied with a little added head motion.

“We’re friends, so why not,” Kilo chimed in.

  “Just friends huh,” Maze quizzed.

“Yes Maze, just friends,” Miracle stated with a little extra on friends.

  “Yeah okay,” Maze mumbled.

“The question is what the fuck is going on between the two of you,” Miracle snapped.

Maze and Success looked at each other before answering.

“We are just friends as well,” Success blurted out as she side-eyed Maze.

Maze looked at Success in shock that she didn’t say more than what she did. The waitress came back over placing Maze and Success plates down on the table. She asked Miracle and Kilo if they wanted to order something. Kilo was about to order, but Miracle cut her off by saying no they were leaving. The look that Miracle gave Maze was mixed with hurt and anger. Maze knew that Miracle wasn’t feeling the fact that she was out with Success, but she felt the same way about her being with Kilo.

After Miracle and Kilo left, Maze and Success sat there and eating their food with no talking for a few minutes.

“So, are you feeling some type of way about seeing Miracle and Kilo together?” Success asked.

“I don’t want to talk about it.”

  “Imagine that.”

Maze overlooked Success’ remark. There wasn’t much talking afte
r that. They finished eating and then left. Maze dropped Success off at her house and went home. Maze really didn’t like seeing Miracle with Kilo. She really didn’t like seeing or knowing Miracle is with anyone other than her. When Maze got home, she just sat out back by the pool drinking beer.

It had to be about two hours that passed that Maze was sitting out back, when out of nowhere she heard, “So you just hanging out with Success like it’s nothing.”

Maze turned around and there stood Miracle.

“Hell, you’re hanging out with Kilo knowing how I feel about it,” Maze replied turning her back to Miracle.

“I told you we are just friends and that’s it. It’s nothing going on between her and I,” Miracle stated as she walked in front of Maze.

Maze just looked at her with disbelief on her face.

“Don’t look at me like that. I mean it, there is nothing going on between me and Kilo.”

“Then why was she coming out of your house early this morning?” Maze questioned.

“She stopped by to talk to me about helping to make things right between the two of you. I can’t believe that you would think that I would be with Kilo, when I know how you feel. I love you Maze and nothing or no one will ever change that,” Miracle said kneeling down next to Maze.

Maze wanted to believe Miracle, but to her it was like a repeat of the past for her. Maze looked Miracle deep in the eyes searching to see if Miracle was telling the truth and she was. Maze started to feel bad about sleeping with Success now that she learned that Miracle was telling the truth.

“Well, there is something that I have to tell you,” Maze said in a low tone.

“I don’t want to hear it Maze. I know my sister.”

  “I’m sorry.”

Miracle just shook her head up and down in a way of saying okay. Miracle was hurt, but at the end of the day she wasn’t going to lose Maze. They embraced each other in a long hug. Once they let go of each other, they just sat together taking in the moment that they were having.

Later that night, Maze asked Miracle if she wanted to go and get something to eat and Miracle said yes. As they were headed to get something to eat, they passed by the lake when they saw Kilo and Success standing up talking. Maze quickly did a U-turn and pulled up on them.

“What the fuck is going on here?” Maze asked jumping out of the car.

“Maze!” Success yelled out in shock.

“What the hell are you two talking about?” Miracle asked getting out of the car.

Kilo and Success was stuck, they didn’t know what to say or do. They tried to make up something, but Maze and Miracle wasn’t going for it. It finally came out that Kilo and Success had plotted to break Maze and Miracle up. Kilo sent Success to get next to Maze. The reason she did it, was because years ago Maze and Kilo met Sky at the same time, but Sky was more into Maze. Maze asked Kilo about the night that she saw her coming from Sky’s house. Kilo informed Maze that yes, she did go to Sky’s house, but Sky rejected her because she wasn’t who she wanted. Maze and Miracle couldn’t believe what they were hearing from Kilo. Success went along with it because she had always been jealous of Miracle, because their father payed more attention to her. When Miracle told Success the reason why he did, Success felt bad. It was true confession time between them all.

Maze was more than mad. She always knew that Kilo wanted her life, but just couldn’t understand why. Kilo tried to explain to Maze, but Maze wasn’t hearing it. Maze and Miracle both was beyond pissed off with the whole thing. Maze was about to turn and walk away, when Kilo grabbed her trying to stop her.

“Bitch!” Maze yelled right as she swung and hit Kilo.

They started fighting. Success tried to stop it, but Miracle wouldn’t let her. Kilo and Maze was going at it. Maze would get the best of Kilo and then it would turn, and Kilo would get the best of Maze. It took for the sounds of police sirens for them to stop. However, before Maze got in her car, she yelled out to Kilo telling her that she’d better not see her anywhere, because it will be on again.

  Chapter Seven

“Maze open the damn door. I know you’re in there. Open the door!” Blaze yelled as he banged on the door.

“Why are you yelling and banging on my door like you crazy?” Maze asked as she opened the door.

“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Blaze asked pushing his way in.

“What the fuck are you talking about? And why are you coming over here with all that bad boy shit?” Maze questioned as she closed the door.

When Maze walked into the living room, Blaze was pacing the floor and shaking his head.

  “What’s going on?”

“Why were you out fighting Kimberly, when you know mama wants to see all of us together?”

“Man fuck that bitch, cause when I see her again, I’m going to get that ass.”

“No, you are not. Whatever you two have going on needs to be put to the side because mama wants all of us together.”

“Fuck that,” Maze said sitting down on the couch.

“Look sis, I don’t care what you and Kimberly’s beef is, but tomorrow you will be at the hospital at three, and she will be there too.”

  “I’m not coming.”

“You will be there and with a smile. I’m sick of you acting like a fucking spoiled brat.”

“Spoiled, spoiled bruh. We both know that spoiled I am not. Everything I have I worked hard for it. Mama never gave me credit for nothing. All she did was give Kimberly’s ass all the glory. That bitch couldn’t do anything wrong. Hell, you either,” Maze snapped.

“I’m not trying to hear all that. Just be your ass at the hospital tomorrow at three and don’t be late. I told her the same thing, so do whatever it is you have to do, but be your ass there,” Blaze spoke before he walked out of the door.

Maze just sat there not feeling the words that came out of Blaze’s mouth.

“You should go for your mother,” Miracle blurted out standing in the hallway.

Maze looked back at her without a response. Miracle walked over and sat next to Maze.

“I understand that you and your mother don’t see eye to eye, but she is your mother, and this is her wish. I don’t want you to have any regrets,” Miracle stated in a soft tone.

“I don’t want to be in the same room with her.”

“I get that, but at the end of the day it’s not about you, it’s about your mother. There must be a reason why she wants this so bad. She’s asking you to give her, her last wish.”

“Damnit Miracle, I don’t want to do this.”

“I know, but you are not doing this for you, but for your mother. Be the bigger person and do this,” Miracle stated placing her hand on top of Maze’s.

Maze just sat there taking in everything Miracle said. She finally shook her head indicating that she would do it. Miracle kissed her on the cheek and told her she was proud of her. The rest of the day Maze and Miracle laid around and loved on each other and watched television. It was a very relaxing day for them both.

The Next Day: Two in the Afternoon

“Maze you need to get up so you can get up to the hospital,” Miracle said as she shook Maze to wake up.

“I got about twenty more minutes.”

“No, you don’t. It takes you at least twenty minutes to get up and get ready. So, get your butt up.”

  “Ugh,” Maze grunted.

“I’ll make you some coffee so that you can get going.”

“Oh, you’re going with me, I’m not dealing with them people by myself. Plus, I have something planned for us after we leave from up there.”

“And what is it that you have planned?” Miracle inquired.

“Just wear something nice and sexy,” Maze winked as she got up and went into the bathroom.

Miracle put on a pot of coffee and then joined Maze in the shower. The shower took longer than it should have, because Maze couldn’t help herself to a little of Miracle’s goods. However, once they were finally out of the
shower and dressed, they headed to the hospital. On the ride there it was silence. Maze was wondering what her mother’s reason could be for wanting everyone together. Miracle could tell that Maze was in deep thought and that she wasn’t feeling what was about to take place. She placed her hand on Maze’s leg in a way of letting her know that she wasn’t alone. Maze looked over at Miracle and smiled a little.

When they pulled up to the hospital, they just sat in the car for a few minutes. Maze was about to light up a blunt, but Miracle stopped her.

“You don’t need that. I’m here with you,” Miracle spoke softly with her hand on top of Maze’s.

Maze leaned over and gave Miracle a kiss on her cheek. Maze got out of the car and walked around to open Miracle’s door. Once Miracle was out of the car, Maze closed the door and hit the keypad to lock the car. They walked in hand in hand to the elevators. Before the elevator doors could close, Kilo slid in. Miracle quickly stood between them, because she could see it on Maze’s face that she was about to do something. It seemed like it took forever to get to the second floor. When the elevator doors opened Maze made sure that she got off first.

“Okay let’s get this over with,” Maze stated as she walked into her mother’s room.

“We have to wait for Kimberly,” Blaze replied.

“I’m here,” Kimberly/Kilo said walking into the room just as the words came out of Blaze’s mouth.

Miracle stood by the door and just nodded at Blaze in a way of saying hello. Blaze nodded back.

“Mama…mama, everyone is here,” Blaze informed Annie as he gave her a little shake to wake her up.

Annie slowly opened her eyes and looked around and saw that Kimberly was there and a smile quickly came across her face.

“Kimberly,” Annie said reaching out her hand for Kimberly to take hold of it.

  “I’m here auntie.”

“I’m happy that you came,” Annie spoke softly.

Maze wasn’t really feeling the reunion, so she did a deep sigh. Blaze just looked at Maze and shook his head. Maze shrugged her shoulders at Blaze.

“We are all here so can we just get on with why you wanted us here, please mother,” Maze blurted out.
