by Alien Savior

She couldn’t imagine what kinds of creatures they had seen in their travels throughout the galaxy if gulls and small fish were what they were worried about, there on Earth.

She listened to the gentle and hypnotic rush of waves, letting the sun seep into her skin, but was brought back from the edges of sleep by Ty clearing his throat.

“Lacy, we have something for you.” He said.

She used her palm to block out the brightness of the sun and saw that he had a small bundle of cloth in his hand. At first she thought it was another piece of clothing, like the dress that Kor had given her shortly after they had met, but once she sat up she saw that it was much too small.

She took the offered cloth from him and let it fall open. Something small and shiny fell out and landed on the blanket in front of her. Her heart soared as she picked up the small metal ring with a large, dark blue stone in the center, flanked by two light green stones that seemed to glow.

Her eyes began to tear as she looked up into her mates’ faces.

“You said that you were going to miss not having a ring to symbolize our mating,” Kor began, “so Ty and I thought it was important to recognize the Earther customs as well as Arathian. We researched rings of your culture and put a blue stone from Earth in the center and two green ones from Arath. Now it signifies both of our worlds, and the three of us united as mates.”

Lacy didn’t try to stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks. She loved those two men with her entire heart.

“Will you put it on for me?” She asked them.

Ty and Kor slid it over her finger together then gathered her into their arms. Locked between her two mates, Lacy knew there was nowhere in the universe she’d rather be.

  THE END
