As Mya walked into the room, she pulled off her tunic and threw it onto the bed. The small dagger bounced against her lower back making her cringe at the touch of cold steel. She quickly unhooked it and dropping it with the other belts to the floor with each step. Keeping her attention on the already filled tub next to the window, it was hard to not see her excitement to get into the water.
“There should be mostly made up pack in the closet, will just need a cloak stuffed into it.” Mya pointed off toward the bed as she hopped along, pulling off her boots one by one. Finally kicking off her leggings, she slid into the warm waters.
“Sounds like you saved the day again out there. And, Tharissa is under the weather again.” Gemini laughed as she made her way to the far side of the room and disappeared into the small closet alcove beside the bed.
“It is not all me, another mage is required for the catalyst on those spells. Tharissa doesn’t ever get to leave the palace, she does get the bad end of the Dragon’s deal.” Mya called out from the tub waters.
“No one can pull off those spells, you have a gift.” Gemini called out from her hiding place.
Mya half smiled with one side of her face and nodded to herself.
“The green pack, correct?”
“Yea, it should already have everything needed.” Mya could hear her sister rummaging around with things briefly before appearing out from the closet with the backpack in hand.
“Funny that you have these prepared. All the time.” Gemini placed the bag on the edge of the bed and sat beside it. “I wish I could come with you to the Iceclaws instead of with Faer to the falls. I swear that woman is trying to make something happen between the two of us.”
“I doubt that, Shershin knows better. Can you get me a dry cloth?”
Gemini stood and grabbed a draped sheet off the partition. Taking a few more steps closer to the tub, Mya stood from the water and grabbed it from her. Stepping into it as she existed the tub, Mya wrapped the sheet around her. Water from her body absorbed into the cloth made it hug against her front, showing her form through the sheet.
“Now hurry up and get dressed.” Gemini spanked her bare bottom as she walked by.
Mya jumped into a brisk speed towards the closet alcove, squeezing the bottom of her hair into the sheet along the way.
“When was the last time we were able to go out together?” Mya called out from the closet.
“Two years maybe. We went to Kalstin for the Solstice Festival. Do you think people know about what happened yet?”
“We were the only ones there, how would they?” Mya’s echoed voice was still easy to hear.
“Shershin tends to know things without anyone mentioning anything.”
“I don’t think she or anyone knows about it, we have kept it a secret. Probably for the best anyway, I doubt people would approve or even be remotely understanding.”
Gemini laughed.
“Could see Tharissa being just as jealous as she always is though.”
Mya laughed from the closet.
“Definitely.” Mya exited the cubby with her new attire. “Let’s get going, Faer is probably already at the gate.”
She had high boots that covered most of her legs, much like her previous outfit; covered in buckles that came up to just below her knees and led into a dark grey tight pant legging. Her torso had a short fabric that covered the bottom half of her breasts and broke into straps that twisted their way around her stomach, crisscrossing in the front and back.
“You forgot the cloak.” Mya held up a dark green cloak and gave her sister a smirk causing her to blush slightly. “What were you doing in there?”
“I had other things on my mind.” Gemini grabbed the pack from the bed and tossed it over to Mya who quickly stuffed the cloak through the top.
“Too bad we must head off so quickly, even one night together would be nice. Always have to rush off without any time to catch up and unwind.” Mya pulled the backpack over her shoulders and bounced it into place.
“Suppose we will have to do what we can along the way until we split up.” Gemini smiled.
“Where is your bag?” Mya asked.
“Faer has all our stuff. Let’s go grab your book and meet up with him.”
With a laughing smile to each other and a light sigh at the brief catch up, the two wandered back into the corridor, closing the bedroom door behind them.

Faer paced back and forth between the edges of the burnt and broken arch for the gate. Kicking the odd little stone as they came across his continuous loop. Muttering annoyed words under his breath before stopping to check the city street from time to time. He finally stopped moving when the two girls rounded one of the buildings and into the main road.
It did not take long for the two of them to reach him. He watched as they closed in, talking to each other and giggling at the odd comment. Faer could only purse his lips and shake his head in his frustrations.
“About time you two got here.” Faer could only glare at them from over top his crossed arms.
“You’re lucky we came as early as we did; we could have spent way more time up there.” Gemini scolded him back and stuck out her tongue at him.
Mya bumped her with her hip and laughed.
“We have everything then?” Faer bounced his pack and held out another bag towards Gemini.
The twins nodded together.
“Will be a handful of days to the gate, and then another to the bottom of the falls. From there, we will need to split up.” Mya spoke in an upbeat tone, looking forward to getting back out on the trail.
“Good. Would rather stay back and keep studying, so the sooner we get this done, the quicker I can come back and finish what I need to do.” Faer look at the girls with a sideways glance before starting down the road.
“Who knows, maybe we can make an adventurer out of him yet.” Gemini laughed and jogged up next to Faer.
Mya shook her head and smiled. Looking up into the finally clear day, any sign of the siege against the blue sky had gone and a cheerful ringing of birds chirping across the muddy field almost erased that it ever happened. Bouncing her pack against her back again, checking that her dagger was in its sheath, she pulled on one of her shoulder straps and popped into a trot, quickly catching up to her two companions.
Chapter 6
The moon rest against the peak of the mountain like an ice-cream scoop about to fall off a cone, shining brightly and illuminating the countryside below. Glittering snow spread across the side of Mount Guul and stretched across the plains like a blanket tucking in the region for the night.
The snow crept as far as the eye could see, from the fires at the port of Kalstin, signaling wayward travelers that the safety of the city was close. A handful of little towns stuck out of the blanketed white province like hot stones melting the cold around them. A brighter than normal glow could be seen from the southernmost town of Tarna, expanding slowly into the night sky, battling against the moons glow.
Dominic knelt behind a sweaty female who was on all fours on a messy bed. The bright moonlight streamed through the windows, glistening off his chiseled naked body. The woman’s moans filled the night air as he thrust again and again into her, filling the room and out into the empty streets. He thrust harder and harder until her screams bellowed out into a climax. Collapsing to the bed in a series of heavy breaths, fluids dripped from both as the night’s festivities concluded as he fell beside her on the roughed-up sheets.
“Always enjoy our visits.” The woman huffed out between catching her breath.
“Practice makes perfect, right?” Dominic chuckled as he spoke.
The two rolled onto their backs and took long breaths, trying to slow their hearts.
“The moon is very bright tonight.” The woman rested on Dominic’s chest and looked towards the open window to the glowing city.
“A lot brighter than it normally is, must be all the snow we have had this season.” Dominic fol
lowed her gaze toward the open window.
“Should close that before it gets too crisp in here.”
Dominic slid off the side of the bed and walked over to the window. The light from the moon made the sweat on his body sparkle with its silvery light. Reaching up to grab the shutters, he looked down to the village below to see a handful of people running from their homes with a curious haste. Following the runners with his gaze, he noticed that the skyline around the city had a haze and a lot more orange than it should be.
“Hurry, get a move on.” A voice called out from the street below from somewhere out of sight.
Dominic leaned out of the bedroom to see if he could find where the voice was coming from. Another small group charged into view with packs on their backs. Through a squinted glare, he could make out that they were his neighbours that had been living beside him since he first came to Tarna.
“Something’s up.” Dominic spoke as he kept his eyes on the escaping groups below.
“Again? I might need a second to let things settle down, you gave me a solid helping tonight.” The woman held herself up on her elbow and rubbed one of her breasts with the palm of her hand, trying to get rid of an itch.
“No, I think something might be going on outside.” Dominic turned around and grabbed a sheet that was draped over a nearby chair. Wiping it all over his body to dry off, he tossed it over to the woman on his bed.
“I am going to go check it out.”
Before he could get to his pants on the floor, his door slammed open and two lightly armoured, brawny men stormed into the room with swords and knocked him to the floor.
“This isn’t the pub you Jurcunde.” The first armed man voiced his anger before quickly spotting the naked woman on the bed trying to cover herself with a blanket. “Looks like a prize for our trouble though.”
The second man looked over his shoulder with eyes wide.
“Not’ing like starting off the night with getting our dicks wet, looks like she is all ready to go.” The second hooligan pushed his way into the room while he spoke and dropped his blade to the floor, quickly reaching for the tie on his trousers.
Dominic did not waste any time. He grabbed the dropped sword and thrust it toward the man grabbing at his pants, sending it through his hand and into his privates. A howl of pain shocked the first raider who was not ready and stumbled back as his friend collided into him, staggering him off balance.
“The fuck mate, we were just wanting a good time before we let loose tonight.” The first brigand caught himself on the door as the other fell to the ground moaning in agony, holding his crotch.
Again, without a hesitation, Dominic advanced forward with his bloody weapon. The other was ready this time and caught his blade with his own and forced him back into the room. With blade on blade erupting into the night air, the bout was going to be difficult to carry on with the tightness of the bedroom.
Defending was easy with the feeble offensive attempts in the available space. The intruder pushed him back into the room until he was almost to the back wall before Dominic bumped into a chair. Steel on steel continued to fill the room as the woman let out a sharp yelp from each clash. Dominic was agile for his size, easily ducking and dodging his way from swings. Some of which would have easily got tangled in clothing, if he were wearing any.
With a fast, open swing of the raiders weapon, the strike was easily parried and sent the tip of the blade wide, towards the bed. In an uncontrolled deflection, the sword buried deep into the woman’s chest and sent her doubling back off the bed from the impact.
An opening to take advantage of, Dominic spun back around with a counter and plunged his stolen blade into the side of the combatant in an upward angle. In a gurgle of blood, the raider fell dead heavily on top of his naked sparring partner, bringing him to the ground. Dominic lay still, trying to catch his breath from the bout.
Shaking his head in anger, he wriggled his way out from under the corpse and focused his attention on the wounded moaning man who still was holding his crotch. With blood splatter on his face and across his body, Dominic reached down and grabbed the shirt of the dying man.
“Who in Necrolin’s name are you and what are you doing here?” Shaking the raider with a jerk. “Answer me.”
The raider laughed and spit a mouthful of blood in his face, forcing Dominic to let him go, dropping him to the floor. With a wipe on the inside of his elbow he cleaned it what he could but still smeared the red, painting his face further. Dominic drove his sword through the wounded raiders eye, pinning him to the floor. The room fell silent as he looked over his shoulder to the other two bodies strewn about the bedroom.
Creeping back into the middle of the room to assess the dead, Dominic kept a keen eye out for any further intruders. A creek in the floorboard behind him made him spin around quickly with his guard up, sending his penis whipping around. His erect member was quickly grabbed by a girl who had somehow snuck up on him but kept low enough to keep out of the way of any strike he had.
“Watch it with that thing would you. Should put that away before you cut it off.” The girl flung it away from her face in a comical fashion.
“Chyla, what in Freyolin’s name are you doing here? You shouldn’t be here to see this.” Dominic quickly turned to grab at a sheet in an unproductive attempt to cover himself.
“Oh relax, it’s not like I haven’t seen it all before or have seen plenty of private parts. Besides, I have no desire to have anything to do with what you have going on down there.” Chyla stood up with and smirk and stepped back into the doorframe, trying not to laugh.
“I was talking about the corpses you little weirdo. What are you doing with a hand in your crotch?” Dominic questioned as he dropped the sword on the bed and grabbed the pair of trousers from the floor.
Chyla smiled again. “No you weren’t.”
Dominic scowled at her.
“I’ve been bored all day and have been trying to keep myself just before climax since dinner. I seem to have soaked my under garment straight through.” Pulling her hand out from under her leggings, she stretched her hand out and expanded her fingers to show a stringy fluid between her fingers. “See?”
“I don’t need to see that Chyla, what’s wrong with you?” He could only shake his head.
“Nothing, I was bored, it’s fun, and it feels good.” Chyla leaned against the edge of the bed, stuffing her hand back down her pants.
Dominic finished getting dressed, pulling a dark wrinkled shirt over his head that was rescued from the floor. Finally dressed, Dominic sat on a small chair in the corner next to a small wooden table and looked around the room again at the chaos. Wrinkling his mouth up in curiosity at each corpse, his gaze finally came to rest on the girl leaning against the bed, still with a hand between her legs.
Chyla was quite short and her clothing made it look like she was a lot older than she was. A tight shirt displayed a very mature set of breasts that she had somehow pushed into it without ripping. It came down to a very short skirt that she had obviously ripped to be shorter, enough to be able to see her the odd finger wiggling below as she played with herself. Some of her calf could be seen before tall pair of black boots took over and ran down to her feet. The boots were complicated looking, like she had taken a black ribbon and wrapped it around each leg hundreds of times to make them.
“Do you really have to keep doing that?” Dominic pulled his gaze from Chyla and stood to look out the window.
Chyla did not answer and only gave a shudder against her playful hand, trying to hold back her excitement and having to support herself with the edge of the bed.
Small groups of raiders could be seen running from building to building below, kicking in the odd door in or just disappearing into a lane street or side street. It was hard to make them out, even with the bright moon and orange glow from the city. The ominous glow gave signal that the raiders had set fire to most of the city.
“We should probably get out of here be
fore more show up.” Chyla stammered a little bit as she spoke, trying to keep back her orgasm.
Dominic spun on his heels, walked back to the entry and knelt beside the warm corpse to inspect further. His clothing was obviously foreign, made of an odd wool fiber mixed with small leather strips into a sturdy light armour that was placed in sensitive areas from head to toe. A large scarf style item wrapped around his neck and across his shoulders that looked to be used mainly for cold climates or the odd storm. Working down the torso to a small pouch tied to a thick leather belt.
Pulling the strings of the pouch to loosen the top, Dominic dropped what few items were inside onto his palm and rolled them around with the edges of his fingers to explore. A larger coin made of wood and a smaller silver coin, each carrying an insignia of school of sharks swimming in a circle with a skull in the middle. The metal coin had a single strike on angle across the insignia and through the skull which had four small horns from the top of its head that cascaded down in a menacing and demonic way.
“What did you find?” Chyla, still pleasuring herself, pushed off from the bed and slowly walked over to get a better look.
“Bardain, could be Sigil. Doesn’t make sense though. Why would they travel this far North, beyond the straight to the mainland? Especially into Estar and not Durindal.” Holding up both coins and leaning his head to one side, to bring them into the light of the moon. Dominic rotated them back and forth to try and make out a few smaller markings on the edges.
“With a force large enough to maraud a village?” Chyla shuddered again through her words.
“They are pirates by nature, brigands with a thief for a King. Usually travel in large groups to begin with, this one is smaller, why I am thinking Sigil. If it were a true Bardain army, they would have easily enough to storm into Kalstin port. Wouldn’t make it far into the city but still would have a solid go of it.” Dominic dropped the coin and pouch and peered over his shoulder at her.
