Monster Girls Page 19

"Yes, and Cinnamon, too," Strawberry answered. "If she is up for it. We'll keep Sage locked up. I'll change the codes on her cage and the forward cargo hold. It is probably best to keep her on monitor as well. That will free up Teddy if you want him to be here, too. He'll have to stand in one of the seats, and we'll need to block input from his station, but it should be fun for him."

"That sounds great. He'll love it."

I turned from her slowly and stepped out the door to the hallway. Turning left, my bedroom was the first door I encountered. Pilot's quarters. On the opposite side was the Captain's quarters. Would Strawberry move in there now? Or would we put the two monster girls in that room?

When the door to my quarters whisked open it frightened both Aeren and Mixi. They were not accustomed to many things that they were about to experience. The ship, our food, flying into space.

They relaxed a bit when they saw that it was just me. Not only was I their best friend in this new world they should also be counted on to support me in my agenda. As I was thinking just that, Aeren tensed up. Was I making an intimidating face? No, she was staring at my crotch. I looked down to see it tented up noticeably. Strawberry had given me a bigger erection than I had realized.

I looked to both girls as they pulled their knees up toward their chest defensively. Did they think that I had come to force sex on them? Had I left them alone too long? Did they think that they were now our prisoners?

"Hey, ignore that," I said as casually as I could muster. They had both touched my willy before. Mixi even stroked it with her tiny hands to get it firm before the bunny girl rode me hard. "That's unrelated to my visit."

They didn't relax as much as I had hoped with that revelation. I needed to make them feel more at home. It would take a while before they really accepted this new life, but I couldn't have them thinking like prisoners, plotting escape.

"I'm just checking on you two," I said as I slowly moved to sit at the foot of the bed. I thought that would be better than me standing above them and blocking the open door. However, it may have sent another signal as well. I couldn't blame them for being scared.

"I'd like to keep the two of you in my room here until the doctor gets a chance to check you over."

"What does that mean?" Aeren asked, noticeably concerned.

"First of all, it means that she wants to heal your injuries for you," I explained. "Any pain that you are feeling will go away. If anything in your body is broken, she will fix it. Secondly, she'll get some scans to find out if there is a danger of us catching any diseases from each other. Considering the time that we have already spent together, I expect that to be a just a formality."

"What does a scan do?" she asked, still looking worried.

"It takes a picture of the inside of your body," I said, thinking for sure that was the best description. Unfortunately, I could tell by her reaction that it conjured up images of us cutting her open. She probably didn't even know what a picture was.

I spent the next few minutes explaining to them what I meant. My tablet was very instrumental in getting my point across. They eased up considerably as I told them what to expect for the rest of today. Soon, I would escort them to the bathroom where they could get cleaned up and use the toilet. Then to the medical bay. After that they could get some food before continuing to rest in my room. I did my absolute best to make it clear to them that they were not prisoners on this ship.

My visit lasted much longer than I anticipated as I explained about space flight and how to use the tablet. I locked out anything that they shouldn't see but believed that it would help them make the transition much faster if they could sample our technology and learn more about their new world.

As we talked Mixi took less concern with covering her body with her winged arms. The tiny little pixie was the size of a young human, but all woman in most ways despite her smallish features. Aeren continued to cover herself with her long hair, but I was able to catch glimpses. It was difficult to focus occasionally as we huddled together on the bed to view the small tablet screen. Strawberry was right. I had acquired two more gorgeous women to spend time with.

When Honey appeared in the doorway, I knew that she was done with the repair. It was time for me to return to the piloting controls and get us away from this planet. Finally. Instead of saying just that, she addressed the new passengers.

"Hey girls!" she said excitedly, just like women used to greet each other back on Earth. It was great to see. Then she took it even farther by extending her arms for a hug. Considering how afraid Aeren and Mixi had been when I walked in, I figured they would hesitate to accept the embrace. They did not.

Both of them jumped at the opportunity to hug my girl. My newest favorite girl? No, she hadn't taken Cinnamon's place. She just joined her close by my side. I could honestly say that I no longer had a favorite.

The three of them chatted briefly as Honey welcomed them aboard and asked about how they were feeling. They recited back to her what I had told them and revealed their apprehension.

"There is no need to worry," Honey told them. "Kash is a good man and will look out for you. As will I." Then Honey noticed my erection poking firmly against the thin fabric of my pants. It had not relented during my visit for obvious reasons. Shape and size were easy to make out.

"Kash!" she chastised me. "Get that thing to go down. You are scaring them." Then addressing Aeren and Mixi again, "Don't worry about that. I'll take care of it here shortly. You two relax. There is a lot for you to learn, but it is going to be fun. Living on a spaceship and visiting places across the galaxy is a really great life."

  CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Leaving the atmosphere wasn't very difficult. I had expected it to be much more dramatic, like a rocket launch. It certainly wasn't. The ship had plenty of thrust to rise into the sky. There was some g-force that everyone had to brace for. The ship's artificial gravity fought to regulate the planet’s pull but was only marginally effective. I felt myself being slightly jerked back into my seat at times. On one occasion as we were clearing the atmosphere, we were pulled heavily toward the floor. Overall, though, it was very mild in comparison to what astronauts had to go through.

Once in space there wasn't much to do. The computer logged the location of the moons and other celestial bodies. We were nowhere near any of them, of course. With this system not being developed by humans, there was virtually no debris to avoid. I got the impression that some planets with multiple stations were essentially swirling balls of trash.

The ship held up well. We ran an analysis to double check the computer's initial findings. There were no significant issues with the hull. Engines were functioning within acceptable parameters. Everything looked good.

I swiveled in my chair to study the occupants of the room. Strawberry sat in the Nav seat beside me this time, instead of the Captain's chair. Honeysuckle was behind her. Cinnamon was directly behind me with the doctor in the next chair.

One by one the others did the same until we were all facing each other. This was a momentous occasion for me. I had never been in space. Evening coming to the dragon planet I took a back door shortcut. I stepped through a portal in a cave back on Earth then fell out of the hillside to land on my ass on a new planet. No space travel involved, really. Just time travel, into the future.

The other four people in the room had gone through this before, but not as many times as I had thought. Most of their journeys had them going from one space station to another. Planetary time was rare and brief for them. I was the veteran at life on solid ground. These ladies were now in their element.

I had almost forgotten about Teddy. He was sitting placidly in the last seat on the left side of the room. His small stature combined with the raised captain's chair directly between us placed him out of my view. He remained silent the entire time. Perhaps he was still dazed by all this. His species did not have air flight let alone space travel.

  "What now?" I asked.

  "Now, we can re
lax a bit," Strawberry said.

"We have some things to figure out," Doctor Vanilla reminded us. She was referring primarily to what was to be done with Sage.

"Yes, we do," Strawberry replied excitedly, ignoring Vanilla's downer attitude. "We need to decide where we go. There are still plenty of cargo items that we can sell. I figure it will take me at least a couple days before I feel comfortable with handling the navigation. Rip jumping can be tricky, and we'll need that to leave this star system for good."

She was referring to the high-speed method of interstellar travel that required the ship to rip into another dimension. An alternate universe almost. My understanding was limited since piloting didn't require that knowledge. What I did learn was that this other place of existence was sort of two-dimensional. It ran in currents and had tendrils that somehow led to every place in this universe. It made my brain hurt to try to understand the concept fully.

Populated star systems had holes poked through this invisible fabric for entry and exit along the fringes. Those were known locations that ships could navigate by and were called Nav-holes. Undeveloped systems, like the one that we were currently in, required that our ship poke its own hole to reach the other dimension. Our specially designed Rip-Jump engine was fully capable of doing so, but there were risks that a knowledgeable navigation's officer would be able to alleviate.

Apparently, communication traveled much faster in this alternate universe as well. Once ripped over to it, our ship would call to the destination station and announce our estimated time of arrival. It was still unclear whether we would be able to do so with the damaged array. I had heard Cinnamon and Strawberry chatting briefly about whether we would even want to announce our arrival. It was hard to tell what might be waiting for us at a station within the Federation grid. Our ship could have been reported as missing. That would spur an investigation which we definitely wanted to avoid.

There were a lot of things to consider. All in all, I was feeling good about my ability to honor the promises that I made to Teddy, Gako and Dawynda.

"We need to decide on sleeping arrangements," Honeysuckle said. Aside from me, she was the only one comfortable at this point of having Aeren and Mixi join the crew.

"I was thinking about that," Strawberry responded. "Should the two new girls stay in the same room?"

"Why?" Honeysuckle asked. "We have plenty of rooms to accommodate everyone."

"We have two or three rooms available based on our current configuration," I said with a glance toward Vanilla. She was paying close attention but remaining quiet. I figured she would speak up soon if we decided to put a new girl in Sage's quarters.

"I have a suggestion," Honey said. "How about Strawberry moves into the Captain's quarters. That puts her and Kash both at the front of the ship and closest to the command center where they belong. Aeren can move into her old room and be right beside me. Mixi then gets Coffee's quarters to put her beside Cinnamon."

There was a pause again as we all remembered my dark-skinned lover that had been killed by a dragon just a few days before. The wound in my heart was still fresh. The analogy of getting a new dog to replace the one that died came to mind, and I hated myself for thinking of it that way. But there was some truth to it. Aeren and Mixi joining us could help me get over Coffee's loss quicker. If I let it.

"They'll be okay with being on opposite sides of the ship?" Strawberry asked. It was a good question. It told me that even though she knew very little about these women she was ready to trust my desire to give them freedom among us. Their assistance in helping Honey and I escape, as well as saving Cinnamon from falling to her death, surely was a factor.

"I'm sure they will in time," I answered. "They were strong independent women back in their city. Leaders even. It won't take them long to get comfortable."

No one had suggested any adjustment in the use of Sage's quarters, so Vanilla remained quiet until that point. "Well, I should get my equipment ready for their scans, then," she said as she rose from her chair. "Kash, give me five minutes or so before you escort them to the medical lab. Please."

After the doctor was well out of hearing range, we all studied each other to see who wanted to bring up the delicate subject of what to do with Sage. Most of us were sternly against her rule for a while. Strawberry was the last person to turn against her, and she wanted to leave the bitch to die back on the planet. Still, everyone was hesitant.

Finally, Cinnamon spoke up. "I have two questions. First, where does Teddy get to sleep?"

"Thank you, Cinnamon," the fuzzy orange alien said. To hear him showing appreciation to a human female freely made it clear that he had grown comfortable with our arrangement. That was great. With all the things I needed to worry about these days, he was no longer one of them.

"Not only is his cage currently occupied," Cinnamon continued. "He is one of us now. He has proven himself many times over. He needs a real bed."

Strawberry and I looked at each other and nodded. I let the redhead announce the decision. "Who wants to clear out Sage's quarters for him to move in? He can spend the next couple days learning the ship and helping us with odd tasks. After that, we'll get him his own tablet and go from there."

"How many tablets do we have?" I asked. Would all the new crew members have access to them? A lack of devices could certainly slow down their learning process.

"Don't worry," she answered. "We'll still have plenty for the new girls."

"Great," Cinnamon said, obviously satisfied with the resolution of the first issue. "My next question. What are we going to do about clothes for these two new girls? I mean, we can't just have them walking around the ship completely naked."

It was hilarious when Strawberry and I answered at the same time, "Sure we can!"
