I put together a little book of our boudoir photos. Each one had a part of our story below it. The last one was a new photo, one of just me as I kneeled in front of the camera with a ring in my hand. I made Nova take it, and I made her keep it a secret.
“I have a present for you, mama.” I announced as I placed Autumn in her little crib beside the bed.
“You didn’t have to get me anything, silly.” She argued and I smirked.
“Just accept it, woman.” I laughed and she joined me. I walked over to the bag and I pulled out the book along with the ring. “Here.” I handed the hardcover to her and she looked at me with a curious glint in her eyes.
She opened the first page and began reading aloud. Page after page her smile grew as she read our story. I kept some of the more gruesome details out and I could tell she appreciated when I didn’t mention Mike in the story. Instead I kept it vague and said that the princess was hurt. I left it at that. When she was on the second to last page I wanted for her to not being looking at me before I knelt in front of her.
‘Together they brought a new princess into the world. One that was as beautiful and perfect as her mama. That only left one thing. The Princess had a decision to make- a question to answer;” She flipped the page to the photo and a gasp fell from her lips. I didn’t write the question.
“Will you marry me Liv?” I asked when she looked at me.
“Yes.” She breathed out without any hesitance. I smiled and stood up, taking the two steps to be beside her and I pulled her lips to mine. “I want to so bad.” She urged when I pulled away.
“Me too.” I assured her as I pushed the ring onto her finger. “You’re stuck with me now.” I chuckled.
“I think this is the least stuck I’ve ever felt in my life.”
