Never Be the Same Page 18

by A. Aubry

“Just Melody calling over and over. Probably thinks that if she calls enough that we won’t do anything like this. She really doesn’t get that I meant no when I turned her down and that I have an amazing girlfriend.”

I blushed and continued to stroke his cock, “So, why do you still have your phone in our hand?”

He licked his lips and positioned his phone so that it laid against his chest, propped up by his hand, “I’m going to get this all on camera.”

“Jay, you are literally with me every single night, so you can watch me live in action.”

“But those days in my office while you’re at work do get really lonely.”

I shook my head and laughed at him before just giving in and letting him do as he pleased. Going back to sucking his cock was the only thing on my mind. I moved my hand back down to the base of his cock and once again tried to fit his whole length into my mouth. Jameson moaned as I came back up to the tip. My head bobbed easily as I fit as much as I could into my mouth before giving up.

“Yeah, suck that cock,” Jameson ordered as a groan escaped.

After going at it for another few minutes, I finally released his cock that stood up at complete attention for me. If Jameson wanted to make a little movie, then I was going to get some pleasure out of it as well.

“Why did you stop?” Jameson whined as he tilted the phone up as I got up on my knees.

I slid off the robe and straddled his lap, hovering myself over his cock, “Because I need to get fucked, Jay.”

“Holy shit,” Jameson gasped as he fumbled around with his phone, “How the hell do I stop this thing?”

I smirked and held the phone still before putting it exactly where it was before, “Get this on camera for when you are lonely.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Jameson’s face lit up and I eased his cock into me.

That night, making love in as many positions as possible, Jameson got the whole thing on camera. Every orgasm that I had was captured on his phone, and let’s just say, there were several. When Jameson had finally met his release, I thought I was going to die from overexertion of my body. I had been on my front, on my back, on my knees, and pretty much everywhere in between for that video. Not that I was complaining, it was some of the best sex that I had ever had.

When we were done, Jameson finally switched off his recording and plugged in his phone. Apparently, it took a lot of battery life to record more than a half hour of sex. I snuggled up to his side, ready to collapse into a night full of restful sleep. Jameson kissed the top of my head as he held my body closer to his.

“Thank you for letting me get that all on camera,” he whispered, his fingers running along my back.

“Don’t say I’ve never done anything for you,” I giggled as I settled my head onto his chest.

“God, I love you so damn much.”

“And I love you just as much, Jay. I wouldn’t have let you record us if I didn’t.”

“I am the luckiest man in the world to have you.”

“Yes, you are,” I teased before I closed my eyes.

  Chapter Sixteen

“Bwee! Bwee!” Joy screamed as she ran through the house into the foyer where Jameson, Ray, and myself were standing.

Her red ringlets bounced in her high pigtails and the cape on her Elsa costume dress floated behind her. Joy was Ray’s oldest daughter at just three years old. She had the chubbiest cheeks that I had ever seen and the widest eyes that reminded me of the baby dolls that she played with.

“Hi Joy!” I grinned as I lifted her up into my arms after she practically launched herself into me.

“We gonna play?” She smiled as she held her matching Elsa barbie doll in her hand.

“Of course, we are going to play. Is it okay if my friend Jay plays with us?” I pointed my finger over to Jameson so that she would finally take notice of the man next to me.

“Jay?” She looked over at him.

That was when Joy did something that I had never seen before. Her cheeks got red and she instantly turned abnormally shy. Joy was one of the most outgoing little kids that I had ever met. The first time we met, she talked my ear off for a good hour just about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. One look at Jameson and she was shy and reserved but just by the way her eyes lit up as she looked at him, I could tell that she adored him.

“Hi,” Jameson smiled as he held out his hand to her.

Mesmerized by him, she put her hand in his and let him do the shaking. I put Joy down and Ray chuckled as he patted her on the head.

“Why don’t you go tell Mommy that Bri is here?” Ray said softly to his daughter.

Her attention turned to Ray and her wide smile was back before she darted back down the hallway.

“Aw, Jay, you have an admirer,” I teased as his arm circled around my waist.

“She’s right, Jameson. I haven’t seen Joy react like that to anybody,” Ray joined in.

Jameson playfully dusted off his shoulder, “What can I say? I have a way with girls.”

I laughed and shook my head before we followed Ray through the house and to the kitchen were one-year-old Hannah was sitting in her highchair finishing up her dinner. Joy was off in the connected living room re-watching Frozen for what was probably the hundredth time today. I really hoped that Jameson didn’t mind watching Disney movies over and over because that was Joy’s favorite thing to do nowadays.

“Hey Mac,” I greeted Ray’s wife as I gave her a hug.

“Thank you so much for doing this, Bri. You are a lifesaver,” she praised as she wiped off her hands.

She made her way to go wipe off Hannah’s messy face and hands from her dinner, but I took the washcloth from her, “No problem. But you and Ray can take off, Jameson and I have it covered from here.”

Mackenzie nodded her head at me and Jameson. She had met him yesterday afternoon at Jameson’s first of two physical therapy appointments with Ray. That was her and Ray’s thing, every Friday they had lunch together and Jameson was Ray’s after lunch appointment. Jameson had told me that Melody was nowhere to be seen at the physical therapy clinic. I found that odd on top of the fact that I hadn’t seen her at all since Monday before her attack on my car.

Ray and Mackenzie said their goodbyes and as soon as the door was shut behind them to the garage, I began to wipe down Hannah. She was given pureed carrots and I never thought that the vegetable would be as sticky as it was. Once she was cleaned up, I picked her up and hoisted her onto my hip. Hannah had Joy’s red curly hair which they both got from their mother. I led Jameson into the living room where Joy was spinning in circles to one of the many songs of Frozen.

“Hey, Joy. What are we watching?” Jameson said in an interested tone of voice.

She immediately stopped and looked at Jameson, “Uh—uh.”

I giggled and set Hannah down who wanted to dance with her sister, “Are you watching Frozen?”

Joy simply nodded, her attention finally being diverted back to the movie on the screen as Hannah squealed at the sight of the snowman, Olaf. The next forty-five minutes were spent finishing up the movie which Joy was finally done with after it was over. Also, in that forty-five minutes, Joy had made a complete turn around when it came to Jameson. She was glued to him as she was usually glued to me. The best part of it all? Jameson was amazing with kids. No matter how many times both Joy and Hannah wanted to jump on him and play airplane, he never faltered or said he was tired.

The one thing that I never messed with when it came to watching Ray’s kids were their bedtime schedules. I was never the ‘cool’ babysitter that would let kids stay up later just because their parents weren’t home. Since Hannah was only one, her bedtime routine started sooner than Joy’s. Just as Joy was talking Jameson into having a tea party with her, it was time to start Hannah’s bedtime routine. I picked up Hannah who was already starting to rub her eyes.

“Jay, I’m going to start getting Hannah ready for bed. Are you okay with watching Joy?” I asked before h
e sat down next to the little table that Joy was setting for their tea party.

“Of course, baby. How long till she’s got to be getting ready for bed?” He nodded in Joy’s direction.

I checked the clock up on the playroom wall, “She needs to be in a bath in about thirty minutes. If you ask her where the bathroom is, she will take you there. Would you mind giving her a bath if I’m still putting this one down?”

Jameson smiled at me as Hannah rested her head on my shoulder, “Yeah, no problem. Anything you need.”

I blushed, “Thanks, Jay. I love you.”

“I love you too, Bri.” He leaned down and kissed me gently.

“Hey!” Joy screeched before we parted and she ran over, pushing me away from Jameson, “He’s my boyfwiend!”

I laughed, “Oh, wow. I am so sorry, Joy. Well, your boyfriend is going to set a timer for thirty minutes and then it is going to be bath time.”

“Is Jay going to help me?”

“Definitely. I wouldn’t imagine getting in between you and your boyfriend,” I grinned, holding back more laughter.

She smiled and went back to setting the table.

“As soon as she is in bed, I’m going to kiss you as much as I want,” Jameson whispered to me before sneaking in one more kiss.

  “Promises, promises.” I winked.

Walking out of the room, I made my way down the hallway to Hannah and Joy’s Jack-and-Jill style bathroom. I sat down on the edge of the bathtub with Hannah on my lap and filled up the baby bath. Once it was filled enough, I turned off the water and undressed Hannah before putting her into the water. As she played with her rubber duck, I could hear Jameson and Joy having their tea party. I thought Jameson was an amazing man before, but to know how great he was with kids had earned him some major brownie points in my book.

I washed Hannah’s body with a washcloth and carefully washed her headful of hair. She was far more cooperative than her sister when it came to bath time. Then again, she was only one and I could just see her being exactly like Joy when she got to that age. With a freshly rinsed off baby, I picked her up out of the bathtub and wrapped her up in her hooded towel. I dumped the water out of her bathtub and moved it so that Jameson could bathe Joy.

Sitting Hannah up on the vanity, I took her hairbrush out of the drawer and began to brush her little curls, immediately straightening them. Jameson and Joy’s voices got closer and soon they appeared in the bathroom with me and Hannah. Joy came up and talked softly to Hannah, making her giggle.

“Joy, why don’t you show Jay your favorite towel and bubble bath,” I smiled down at her as I finished brushing Hannah’s hair.

She excitedly disappeared into the part of the bathroom that housed the bathtub.

“You have a good tea party?” I smirked at Jay as he watched me in the mirror.

His hand abruptly grabbed my ass in a half smack/half grab, making me jump, “Yes, I did.”

I peered over my shoulder at him, “Kiss me before she gets back in here.”

Jameson moved up right behind me and kissed me several times. I couldn’t get enough of his lips and I could never figure out what was so addicting about them. He stepped back just as Joy came back into the bathroom with her unicorn hooded bath towel and her bubble bath soap. I lifted Hannah off of the vanity and cradled her in my arms after verifying that Jameson knew what he was doing.

Once in Hannah’s room, I put on her diaper and her soft footie pajamas. I sat down in her rocker, giving Hannah her milk before I got to rocking the chair. Jameson and Joy were chatting away in the bathroom and I couldn’t help but smile. One, because Joy took so easily to him, even going so far as to claim him as her boyfriend. And two, because now I really could see a future with Jameson, one that included children. Their voices disappeared as they finally made it into Joy’s room to get her pull-up and pajamas on.

I looked down to see Hannah’s eyes getting ready to close. Moving her into her crib, I stayed for just a few extra moments to make sure that she wouldn’t start to fuss. The second that I knew that I was in the clear, I left her room, closing the door behind me. I stopped for a second outside of Joy’s closed door to listen. Jameson was reading her a book, making all the different voices for each of the different characters. Damn, could he get any more perfect?

Making my way downstairs, I cleaned up some of the mess that we had made. I washed out the bottle that Hannah had used for bedtime and the sippy cup that held apple juice after Joy begged about twenty times for it. I turned off the water and dried off my hands before walking into the living room. Jameson was sitting on the couch, looking at something on his phone. My first thought went to the video that we had made and I rolled my eyes.

“Jameson Warren Barnes, you better not be watching that video we made,” I scolded him as I sat down beside him and folded a leg underneath me.

He chuckled, “As much as I do love that video, that’s not what I’m looking at.”

I leaned in closer to look at his phone, “A picture of us in one of the towers at La Sagrada Familia?”

“Yeah,” he paused for a second as he just looked at the picture with pure happiness, “I have gone on many trips and that one was the best one yet.”

My head rested against his shoulder as I looked at the picture. It was of us sharing a kiss at the peak of one of two towers on La Sagrada Familia. I was afraid of heights, but the view was amazing and Jameson made me feel so safe.

  “It was an amazing trip.”

I felt, rather than saw him nod. He felt tense, so I ran my hand down his arm and clasped our hands together.

“Briella, you know that I love you, right?” Jameson said after a few seconds of silence.

This time I knew that I had to lift my head to look at him, “Of course, I know that, Jameson. I love you too.”

He turned to face me, holding my hand in both of his, “I don’t have many people in my life, as you know. I lost my parents when I was younger and I have no other family. I have my friends who make up my family. And while I do love how crazy they can be, I want a legitimate family. I want you to be my family.”

I remembered when he told me about his parents shortly after we met. It was one of the things that he confided in me during our first few days together before he left for New York. He didn’t have any family after they passed away. He bounced between foster homes until he was eighteen and got a full-ride scholarship to Stanford because not only was he an orphan, but he did amazingly well academically. Wait, now that I thought more about what he had just said, he wanted me to be his family?

“Jay?” I asked, my voice low.

What my question was? I wasn’t exactly sure. Was I asking for clarification? Was I asking him to continue?

“Bri.” He moved one of his hands from mine to dig into his pocket.

When it came out, a smooth velvet box was in his hands. Was that what I thought it was? He opened the box and the largest ring that I had ever seen glistened under the low lights of the living room.

“This isn’t exactly the place that I was expecting to ask you this,” he chuckled, “But I couldn’t pick a better time to ask you.”

He took a deep breath and continued, “Seeing you tonight with those kids, Bri, I could see my future with you. I want a family and I want that family with you. I love you so much. Will you please be my wife?”

My face split into a grin and I threw my arms around his neck, “Yes, Jameson!”

Our lips met and we all but forgot about the ring box that he still held in his hand. We pulled back and laughed as he slid the large rock onto my finger. I kissed his lips over and over, knowing that I would spend the rest of my life kissing those lips and being with this man. The sound of small feet coming down the stairs behind us forced us apart.

“Bwee?” Joy asked softly from the landing in the middle of the staircase.

I got up quickly and walked over to the bottom of the stairs, “Did you have a bad dream?”

  “Yes…can J
ay wead me a stowy?” She rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands.

It only took a few seconds for Jameson to appear next to me, “Another story coming right up.”

Jameson scooped up Joy and carried her back upstairs. Just as the sound of her bedroom door closed, the kitchen door that led to the garage opened. I walked into the kitchen to greet Ray and Mackenzie.

“Hey, were they good?” Ray asked as Mackenzie hung her purse and jacket up on the coatrack.

“When are they ever not good for me?” I teased as I leaned against the kitchen counter.

“Where’s Jameson?” Mackenzie looked over my shoulder.

I shrugged, “Joy just came downstairs after having a bad dream and asked him for another story. He should be back down shortly.”

Ray laughed, “She finally warm up to him?”

“Yep, even claimed him as her boyfriend. That girl is going to give me a run for my money.”

“Looks like you are the most competition that she has got with that rock on your finger,” Mackenzie joked as she came over and took my hand in hers to examine my ring.

“Yeah, you were definitely not wearing that when you came in,” Ray insisted.

My cheeks flushed as I looked down at my ring, “He proposed after we put the girls to bed. I have never been happier.”

“Sweetheart, I can see the difference in you. No offense, but you were kind of miserable when you were with Gavin.” Mackenzie replied, “Wait, does he know about Gavin?”

“Of course, he knows. I actually met him when Gavin and I were still engaged and I was in LA with my friends.”

Mackenzie nodded as she released my hand, “I’m just happy that you are finally happy, Bri. If anyone deserves it, it is definitely you.”

I pulled Mackenzie into a hug. She was definitely one of my biggest supporters in my contemplation of leaving Gavin. She knew how unhappy I was, even if I didn’t have to verbally say it. The only thing that kept me sane was helping her and Ray out by watching the girls. It kept my mind off how unhappy I was in my own personal life.

“You tell them the good news?” Jameson’s voice surprised me as he walked into the room.
