One Growl [A Tigers of Twisted, Texas Novella] (Siren Publishing Ménage Everlasting) Page 8

by Jane Jamison

Rusk had taken care of Zan and the other agents, but it had taken several hours to get it all handled. Although they’d stared at him in disbelief, he’d stuck to his story.

They’d found the convicts after they’d abducted Kendra. Then, just as they’d burst into the campsite, a rabid wolf had attacked the first convict, giving him time to shoot the other escapee. It was a bullshit story, but it was the best one he could come up with that would explain both the fatal gunshot to the head of one of the men and the throat being torn out of the other man. If they ran tests, the lab might figure out that it was a larger animal than a wolf, possibly even pinpoint it as a tiger, but who’d believe a tiger loose in Texas? No matter what they found out, he’d stick to his story. Thankfully, having Zan there had helped. His boss was just as anxious to cover up the truth as he was.

Still, having to repeat the story several times had worn on his nerves, unsettling his inner beast. At last, however, he’d answered their questions and had even managed to get Zan to accept Kendra’s written statement instead of having her come into the office.

Thankfully, a look at Juan’s files had given them the name of the woman who had been holding the money. They’d checked her out before, but hadn’t had the authority to search her home until now. After searching the convicts’ possessions and finding a note to Juan from the woman that implicated her in the convict’s crime, a team of officers were sent to recover the money and arrest her.

Rusk knew as soon as he entered the house that Wash was transitioning. Growls mixed with groans as Rusk took the stairs two at a time. When he came into the bedroom, he was thrown to see Kendra lying next to his friend. Both of them were asleep.

He sat on the bed next to her. “Hey,” he whispered.

She moaned and opened her big brown eyes. “Hey.”

“Are you all right?” He brushed her hair away from her cheek.

“I’m fine.” She sat up, making her breasts bounce. “He’s doing better. How much longer, do you think?”

Rusk fought down the urge to pull her close. He would’ve loved to have her sweet body next to his, but the exhaustion on her face stopped him. “Another day or so.” Standing, he pulled her to her feet then lifted her into his arms. “Come on. You need to rest.”

She laid her head against his chest. The simple gesture was enough to swell his heart with love.

“I want you to change me.”

He carried her across the hall and into the third bedroom. “Not now. Wait until Wash gets through his transformation.”

“No. I want you to change me now.” She clung to his neck as he lowered her to the bed.

“Darlin’, you need more time to think about it. Let what you’ve found out sink in. You don’t want to make any rash decisions.”

“I’ve thought about it long enough.” She let him cover her with the bedspread. Pressing her palm against his chest, she used the one argument he couldn’t fight. “I’m supposed to know it in my heart, right? I do. I love both of you, and I want to become like both of you. Please, Rusk, change me.”

He still resisted, growling deep in his throat. His tiger wanted nothing more than to sink its teeth into her soft flesh and make her his.

  Ours. Mine and Wash’s.

“If you growl one more time, I’m going to ask Wash to change me.”

He chuckled. “Oh, I get it. You just got here and already you’re playing us against each other. One growl, huh? Is that all it’ll take?”

“Yes. One growl.” She pushed her hair off her neck, giving him the perfect spot to bite. “Go on. Change me.”

Never mind that he’d have to take care of both of them while they went through the transformation. It would be rough and tiring, but he couldn’t deny her. Not with her looking at him with such trust and love.

Still, he asked, “Are you sure?”

She made a noise he assumed was her idea of a growl.

“Fine. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

She made the same sound again, but this time, her growl changed into a cry as he sank his fangs into her flesh. He held her down, gently but firmly, as her natural instinct to survive told her to fight him. Before long, however, her body went limp.

Wiping her blood from his mouth, he bent and pressed a soft kiss to her flushed cheek. “Whatever you want, my sweet tigress. Whatever you want.”

  Epilogue

Kendra darted through the brush and into the clearing. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth, and the wind tunneled through her fur. She loved running under a star-filled sky, but it was even better when she was outrunning her two big mates.

A month had passed since she and Wash had gone through the change for the first time. Although he hadn’t asked to become a weretiger, Wash soon found that he loved being a shifter. Kendra understood how he felt. The power, the heightened senses, the sheer freedom of their new life thrilled her.

Perhaps she’d made her decision quickly, but it had turned out to be the right one. As soon as she could, she’d moved from Lubbock to Crooked Oak Ranch. As a freelance graphic designer, she could work anywhere, giving her more time to enjoy ranch life. At first, meeting the people of Twisted had seemed scary, but soon they’d welcomed her into the shifter community. Wash, of course, had already been part of the town, but now that he was a weretiger, they were even more open with him.

She jumped over a fallen log, landing first on her front paws and then on her hind ones. Wash’s pants grew louder as he closed in on her. Strong muscles rippled with every move she made.

Her tigress thoughts came, not as a human’s would, but more as instincts than actual thoughts. Rusk was somewhere close by. She could sense his presence, but he wasn’t with Wash. Her ears pricked up, trying to catch any sound that would tell her where he was.

Her breath was knocked out of her in the next moment as Rusk hurled his body against hers. He was bigger, stronger, but both men treated her as an equal. She could handle whatever they threw at her.

They rolled, snarling and growling in mock anger. Rusk changed as he clung to her, uncaring that her claws dragged across his back. Coming to her feet, she crouched low, ready to spring into the air. Rusk finished shifting and laughed.

  “Got you.”

She growled once, letting the low sound flow over the breeze. Why were they so quick to end their run?

Rusk let out a low whistle they often used as a signal to come together. “Easy, baby. We don’t want to fight.”

Her gaze shifted from Rusk to Wash’s glorious, white tiger body. He came toward her, changing a little with every step. By the time he was near, he was back in his human body.

She sniffed, drawing in his scent. The human part of her tingled with awareness.

  “Change, darlin’.”

She tilted her head. Why? Yet she couldn’t ask the question as a tiger. Instead, she growled again.

“Come on, baby. We’ll make it worth your while,” cooed Wash.

She narrowed her eyes. Her muscles ached to keep running, stretching and digging her claws into the earth.

“Either shift or we’ll have to hold you down until you do.”

She gave a cat snort. As if. Yet, they had her curious now. As human males, they could pleasure in ways that made running a distant joy. She shook her body, the wave of it running from her head to the tip of her tail.

A minute later, she stood up, the moonlight casting shadows along her naked form. “What’s going on?”

“This.” Rusk was on her, too fast for her to react.

He grabbed her by the leg and took her off her feet. She landed on her back, the force of it pushing out her breath. Holding her down, Rusk put his legs between hers and spread her wide.

“You want it rough, huh?” They’d made love many times since she’d changed, sometimes sweet and gentle, other times fast and hard. She liked it both ways.

“We want you anyway we can get you.” Wash clutched her wrists and pulled her arms over her head.

>   A snarling Rusk got to his feet. “Remember what your mother taught you, man. Share your toys.”

“So I’m a toy now?” She’d be anything they wanted her to be.

Wash yanked her close, pulling her body upward. His hard cock pressed against the small of her back. “Suck him, baby.” Putting his hand to her shoulder, he eased her forward.

“Now that’s the way to share.” Rusk stepped forward, his cock thrust toward her, and planted his feet apart.

She was more than happy to take his cock into her mouth. He tasted like all man with an edge of wildness to the flavor. She hollowed her cheeks and drew him in as far as she could.

Especially with Wash easing his cock inside her anus. After she’d changed into a shape-shifter, she’d soon realized that lubrication was no longer needed. It was just another of the many benefits of being a tigress.

The slam of Wash’s trunk-sized thighs hit the back of her legs as he drove his shaft into her butthole. She moaned, tightening her hold on Rusk’s cock, and added a brush of her teeth for good measure. His quick intake of air made her smile.

  Now who can play rough?

Rusk dug his hands into her hair and worked his hips forward and backward, helping her pump him and keep her steady. She cupped his balls, knowing just how much pressure he liked, and heard him groan with delight. If she squeezed a little more…

He sucked in another hard breath. “Hey, darlin’, watch it. You don’t want to castrate me.”

That was the last thing she’d ever want to do. Still, she liked keeping him on edge.

The connection that had grown steadily stronger every day spun through them like an electric rope sliding from one person into the other then into the third, only to reverse direction and sizzle through them again.

Wash’s thrusts became harder, more intense. His balls slapped against her legs. Reaching between them, she played her fingers over his balls.

Balls in both hands. What more can a girl ask for?

Grinning, she wrapped her tongue around Rusk’s cock and worked her teeth side to side. He tensed, his grip on her hair tightening enough to give her the pain she enjoyed.

The night breeze floated over her body, bringing goosebumps. Every inch of her was alive. Only sex and running in her tigress body could make her feel so good.

Her soft “uhs” accentuated Rusk’s moans and Wash’s grunts. Squeezing, she captured Wash’s cock in her ass, bringing more friction to his in-and-out motions. Sucking, licking, nibbling, she brought Rusk close to the edge.

“Gotta have her pussy.” Rusk staggered back, pulling his cock away from her.

  “Give it back,” she ordered.

“With pleasure, darlin’.” He grabbed a hunk of her hair and yanked her forward.

“Hey. Give a guy some warning, damn you,” complained Wash.

“Shut up and stick it back in her.” Ruck brought her mouth to his and crushed his kiss to her.

Her breath was swept out of her, but she held on. Ending the kiss before he did wasn’t an option. If she fainted from lack of breath, then it would be well worth it.

In the next moment, however, she was torn from Rusk’s arms. Carried backward, she let out a yelp and reached for Rusk.

“Shit, Wash. Stop messing with me.”

Wash sat down on the nearest log, bringing her along with him. His cock shoved into her asshole again.

She let out a small cry then leaned back and pushed her butt against him. Pain cut a wedge into her, but the pain soon gave way to an intense sensation. Passion overtook her. Her tigress growled and clawed its way to the surface.

  “Don’t change, darlin’. Not yet.”

Holding back her animal was hard enough whenever she was excited, but during sex it was even harder. She bit the inside of her mouth and concentrated on her men.

Wash’s hard stomach pressing against her back.

Wash’s cock moving in and out, in and out, ramming into her over and over.

Wash’s large hands covering her breasts, his fingers pinching her nipples until they sang with pain.

  Rusk’s face, his teeth clenched.

Rusk’s glittering eyes locked to hers.

Rusk’s masculine hands as he pushed her legs apart and forced her and Wash to lean even farther backward.

Rusk’s cock as he shoved it inside her pussy.

She cried out, not in pain but in victory. These were her men, her mates. She was their woman, their tigress.

The birds around them took flight. The moon above danced shadows over their bodies. A shooting star struck a trail across the sky.

She laid back her head, her hair flowing around her shoulders, and gave her lovers everything she was. When the climax came, she couldn’t hold back any more than they could. Together, the three of them turned their orgasms free, filling her from both sides.

Her inner tigress roared its joy as they fell apart, the men holding her tenderly as they crumpled to the ground.

“That was the best sex ever.”

“You say that every time, Wash.” Kendra rested between her men and put a hand on each of their chests. She loved feeling the rise and fall of their breaths.

  “And it’s true every time.”

“He’s right.” Rusk put a possessive hand on her leg. “You get better every time we have sex.”

They were right. Maybe it was because she was getting more comfortable in both her skins. Or maybe it was what the connection did to bring mates even closer together.

“Do you think we made a baby?” asked Wash.

She growled, warning him yet again. How many times would he ask? So far, he’d asked daily. “Not yet. I want a year or two with just you two before I start chasing after another weretiger.”

“You’re sure getting into the whole growling thing,” teased Rusk.

Was she? “Just one growl at a time.”

“What’s the one growl for?” Wash pushed up and onto his feet. They’d had the same conversation before. He knew what her answer would be.

  “It’s a warning.”

“A warning for what?” Rusk was playing his part now, too.

“To be quiet. Or”—she arched an eyebrow—“it’s one growl to warn you that I’m about to do this.” She rolled over, getting to her feet before they could catch her. Shifting as she ran, she heard their growls behind her.

One growl is all the warning you get. Come and get me, mates.

Falling onto all fours, she lengthened her gait and raced toward home.
