A few minutes later they walked through the entrance of the hotel.
“I hope they have vacant rooms,” she said.
“If not, we’ll find another hotel.”
A woman sat behind a low counter, tapping away on a computer. She looked up and smiled as they approached. For a moment her attention lingered on Lucas. Olivia wasn’t sure if it was the fresh cut above his eye or, with his dense ink showing from the sleeve of his t-shirt and his bulk, he just looked intimidating.
“Do you have any vacancies?” Olivia asked with a smile.
“Oh, you’re English?” He eyes widened a little.
“Yes, and my boyfriend here is Scottish.”
“That’s cool.” She smiled. “Don’t get that many tourists around here.”
Olivia wondered who stayed in the hotel if it wasn’t tourists.
“And yes, we have a room for you lovely people. It’s eighty dollars a night.”
“Here you go.” Lucas slid a hundred dollars over the desk. “And a bottle of wine sent to the room please.”
“I just love your accent, honey.” She took the money and slid a key card toward Lucas. “Very sexy.” She giggled. “Red or white.”
“Er, what?” Lucas asked.
“The wine? Red or white?”
He looked at Olivia. “What would you prefer?”
“White is good for me.”
“White it is.”
“Very good, sir. That’s a hundred dollars in total so we’re square. And you’re in room thirty-one. It’s at the back, nice views. Dinner is served in the restaurant for another twenty minutes so you’ll have to be quick.”
“We’ve eaten.” He took the key and grasped Olivia’s hand. “We won’t want to be disturbed until the morning.”
“Very good. I’ll have the wine sent straight away.” She lifted a phone at her side. “Up the stairs and turn right.”
Excitement spun in Olivia’s belly as they climbed the wide, carpeted staircase. Would Lucas be desperate and wild the minute they got in the room or would he want to take it real slow?
She imagined he’d want to savor the moment and their time together. He oozed calm control; she couldn’t imagine him going crazy with passion. Not that she’d complain if he did.
The room was large and floral, with double glass doors flung open to a Juliette balcony. Pale blue curtains fluttered in the breeze and the scent of meadow flowers filtered in. The bed was large with a wooden headboard and sheets patterned with large pink roses. A bedside table held a lamp with a green shade that had small tassels hanging from it. A wardrobe, dressing table and two pale-yellow bucket chairs made up the rest of the furniture.
“What do you think?” she asked, dumping her clothes on one of the chairs.
“It’s perfect, because you’re here.”
“You say the sweetest things, you know that?” He always had done. It was one of the many things she adored about him.
Knock. Knock.
“That must be the wine,” he said.
“They’re quick.”
He opened the door and a waiter stepped in. He set down a tray holding a bottle of white wine in a dark brown ice bucket, two tall-stemmed glasses and a bowl of nuts. “Enjoy.” He bobbed his head and stood still.
Lucas looked at Olivia. “Bugger. I don’t have any cash.”
“I only have this.” From her pocket she plucked the dollar bill Evan had teased Harry with. “Sorry it’s not much.” She passed it to the waiter.
He inclined his head and left.
Lucas followed him to the door, grabbed the Do Not Disturb sign and hung it on the handle. He turned the lock.
The excited feeling in Olivia’s belly grew, as did the sense of anticipation. This was it, they were alone, for twelve hours at least, just her and Lucas.
She watched as he poured the wine. He handed her a glass and touched his to hers.
“What are we toasting?” she asked.
“Us.”
“To us.” She smiled and sipped her wine.
Lucas tipped his glass up, drinking deep. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he drank the entire thing in one go. He set it aside.
“Thirsty, huh?” She raised her eyebrows.
He said nothing. Instead he took her glass and stood it next to his.
Silence.
The moment stretched on.
She stared up at him. “How do you want to do this?” she asked quietly.
“I wanted this.” He paused. “To be here with you. No one else. A bed, wine, naked.”
And a bubble bath.
She remembered what he’d said when they’d been in the tent.
She smiled. “Okay. We can do that, the whole thing.” She held up her finger. “Wait here.”
Nipping into the bathroom, she headed straight for the tub. She turned the faucet, checked the temperature and secured the plug. Several complimentary bottles of bubbles stood nearby, so she tipped them all in. Immediately the scent of geranium filled her nose; it was sexy and rich and pleased her.
She then turned off the main light, which was harsh and bright, and left on the subtle, buttery one around the mirror.
When she came back into the bedroom, Lucas was standing near the door, the wafting curtain just missing his ankles as it billowed gently. He’d removed his boots.
“The tub is filling,” she said, walking up to him.
He smiled down at her. “You remembered.”
“Of course.” She reached for the base of his t-shirt and tugged it upward. “This needs to go.
He raised his arms and allowed her to pull it completely off. She dropped it on the chair at her side.
He didn’t have tanned skin, except a little on his forearms, and his chest was wide and defined, holding only a small amount of pale wispy hair at the center. His nipples were dark and hard and his abdominal muscles perfectly outlined, more so than the other guys’, with the exception of Mason.
She ran her palm over the ball of his shoulder and his tattoo, stroking the lion’s mane, then the cross. It was so realistic, as she traced the armor lower down his arm, it was almost a surprise to feel flesh and not steel and chain mail.
Lucas stood perfectly still, his chest rising and falling only slightly as he breathed. His muscles were tense and he stood as straight and tall as a soldier on sentry duty.
“It’s okay,” she said, reaching up and touching her lips to his. “Relax.”
He smiled. “This is me relaxed.”
She chuckled. “Okay.” She pulled off her t-shirt, exposing her simple white bra that held only a hint of lace over the cups. She then undid her trousers and pushed them down, using her feet to kick them off and away. She was glad her underwear matched.
His attention drifted down her body, lingering on her chest and then her legs.
She glanced out of the open doors at the field. Horses grazed in the distance, their long shadows stretching over the lush green grass. A sense of calm came over her. There was no rush. They had all night. Far from feeling frantic to get down to business, she was looking forward to lingering over finding their pleasure.
She undid the top buttons on his pants. There was a long bulge beneath them, and she enjoyed seeing his arousal through leather. She allowed the back of her knuckles to brush his cock very lightly as she drew down the zipper.
He hitched in a breath.
She bit on her bottom lip and studied his eyes as she drew his pants open, releasing the pressure.
“They need to go,” she said.
“I agree.”
He stooped and pushed the leathers down and off. Then stood before her wearing only his black boxers. His erection was clear to make out through them, and she was pleased to note he was as well hung as his brother.
Stepping close, Olivia slipped her hands around his waist, smoothing her palms over his skin. She squeezed in close, hyperaware she was much smaller and shorter than he was.
He held her face and dipped his head.
/>
“Lucas,” she whispered.
He closed his eyes and set his mouth over hers. Kissing her with such reverence, as if she were made of china, her heart melted for him. His tongue touched hers and their lips moved in a gentle dance. Her breasts brushed his lower chest and a tremble of desire went through her as his cock grazed her belly.
“I should turn the water off,” she said, after a full minute of being lost in his kiss.
He nodded and released her.
She took his hand. “Come with me.”
He allowed her to lead him to the bathroom. The scented air was steamy, and when she tipped over and turned off the running water she knew his gaze was on her ass.
Without the sound of the bath filling, the room was silent and her pulse thudded in her ears.
Keeping her back to him, she stood in front of the mirror.
He came up behind her, pushed her hair to one side and kissed her neck.
She sighed and tipped her head, the area right behind her ear and toward her nape had always been super sensitive.
He continued to kiss, and delicious tingles spread over her scalp and down her spine. She watched his reflection, so wide and strong behind her.
“Your skin is like satin,” he murmured, his breath warm on her flesh. “So soft.”
The mirror showed her reflection right down to her waist. “Take my bra off,” she said.
His attention shifted and he looked down at the clasp in the center of her back. For a second he fiddled, then the material loosened around her ribs and the cups lifted from her breasts.
Her nipples tightened as he hooked his fingers under the shoulder straps. Every brush of his skin over hers seemed to create a new wave of lust.
He slid the bra straps down her arms and exposed her breasts.
He stared at them in the mirror, his eyebrows low and his lips slightly parted.
She dragged in a deep breath, her chest hitching.
He set the bra aside, then slipped his hands to her waist, the tops of his thumbs brushing the underside of her breasts. “You’re more beautiful than my imagination could have ever dreamed up.”
Olivia said nothing; instead, she watched him cup her breasts in his big hands, completely covering them. The skin on his palms was a little rough, but that added to the sensation of being held by him.
She leaned back, enjoying the feel of his warm chest on her skin and him holding her breasts.
“So delicate,” he murmured and gently massaged, as if absorbing the shape of her. “I’ll protect you always, you know that.”
“Yes.” And he would. There was no doubt in her mind. In Lucas she had a man who would fight for her to the end. “I know.”
She turned to face him and he dropped his hands. “Let’s get in.”
He nodded.
After hooking her fingers into the waistband of her knickers, she pushed them down her legs and stepped out of them.
Lucas stood still and quiet.
She smiled up at him and tugged the waistband of his boxers. “And these.”
Chapter Sixteen
Lucas’s jaw tensed, and a small muscle flexed in his cheek.
“They’ve gotta go,” she said.
“Aye, they do.”
She pulled the material over his cock then pushed his underwear down.
He kicked them away, his cock bobbing as he moved.
She itched to take it in her hand, rub his shaft and feel the texture of the hard flesh. She wanted to smooth her thumb over the domed head and stroke the dark freckle that sat on the end, next to his slit. But she didn’t.
Instead, she stepped away and climbed into the bath. The water was hot and she slowly lowered into it, sucking in a breath. “Come on in.”
“Scoot forward then.”
He sat behind her. “Bloody hell, you want me to be a lobster?”
She giggled. “I guess I was distracted when it was running.”
“You can say that again.” He slipped his legs around her hips so she was sitting between his thighs.
“Can you do the honors?” she asked, passing him a small bottle of yellow-hued conditioning shampoo.
“With pleasure.”
“This will do as a jug.” She handed him a deep, ornamental shell, which had been on the shelf around the bath.
“Perfect.” He filled it then carefully tipped water over her head.
She looked up at the ceiling and sighed enjoying the heat penetrating her scalp. “Do you remember the shell you gave me on the island?” she asked.
“I do.”
“I’ve still got it.”
He tipped more water on her hair, soaking it through, then set the shell aside. It clinked softly when it touched the tiles.
“And do you remember teaching me about Gemini in the stars?”
“Of course.” He began to carefully massage her hair, filling it with lemony shampoo suds. “I remember every moment with you, Olivia.”
“And I you.”
“You’re amazing, how you do it.”
“Do what?”
“Make us all feel special.”
She paused for a moment. “It’s easy, because you are all special. And so different.”
“Including Mason and me?”
Her hair was full of rich bubbles and he continued to work them. “I haven’t once got you muddled up since I met you.”
“True.” He paused. “Why not, though, most people do?”
“You’re so different. Not to look at but the way you speak, look at me, move even.”
“Really?” He’d sounded surprised.
“Yes. I guess that’s because I know you well and I can see the difference, and I’m glad—I don’t want to ever get you confused, it would feel so wrong.”
“Somehow I don’t think you will.” He lifted his fingers from her hair then tipped water onto it, rinsing away the suds.
He repeated the action over and over until the long strands hanging down her back were clean and straight.
She reached for a bar of soap and unwrapped it. She washed her face and underarms, then quickly dipped beneath the water. “Here.” She passed it over her shoulder. “Soap.”
He took it and, after a moment of splashing, he moved closer and slipped his soapy hands around her torso to cup her breasts again.
“I’ve washed there,” she said, smiling and leaning into him.
“You missed a bit.”
She closed her eyes, enjoying him touching her. “I could stay here all night.”
“But we won’t,” he whispered against her ear. “Because I’m going to have to make love to you soon or my dick is going to fall off.”
“Oh dear. We don’t want that to happen.” She chuckled. “Let’s get out.”
“Wait.” He released her breasts then carefully splashed water onto her chest to rinse the soap away.
Olivia stood and reached for two fluffy white towels on a rack. She climbed out, wrapped herself in one then twisted the other on her head, turban style, to catch the drips from her hair.
Lucas also rose from the water. His cock was looking painfully hard; she guessed the hot water hadn’t dampened his arousal.
The air in the bedroom was cool and fresh after the bathroom, and she paused to pour them both another glass of wine. After taking a sip, she set hers on the bedside table and lay down.
Lucas picked his up, stood at the end of the bed and took a drink.
God, I want him.
Her internal muscles clenched as she looked at the thick bulge beneath the towel around his waist. Her belly was tight, and her breasts ached for more of his touch.
She glanced at the open door, and then, knowing they were high enough to have complete privacy, she released her towel and spread it open. She lay before him, naked and her pussy damp not just from the bathwater but also from her need for him.
“Lucas,” she whispered. “You’re all I want right now.”
She slid her right hand over her chest
and down her belly. Her fingers rested on her pubic hair as she spread her thighs apart, exposing the soft folds of her pussy.
His eyes widened and he held the glass perfectly still halfway to his mouth. His attention was fixated on the juncture between her legs.
A sense of power went through her and tangled with an all-consuming lust. She was being brazen, she knew that, but it was what she wanted, and she guessed what he wanted too.
“I need you just here,” she said, fingering her clitoris, “And here.” She dipped lower and sought out her entrance. “I need your fingers… your cock… here.” She pushed in, just a little.
“Fucking hell,” he muttered, then, without looking at what he was doing, put his drink down. The base of the glass was precariously near the side of the dressing table.
“Lucas.” She arched her back and drew up her knees, exposing herself further and easing her fingers into her pussy. It was hot and wet and she tensed her internal muscles.
The bed dipped as he crawled next to her. “You’re so damn hot.”
“Touch me.” With her free hand, she cupped his cheek. “Like this. The way I am.”
His eyes flashed. He slid his hand over her abdomen then rested his fingers on her pubic hair.
“More.” She stared into his face. “Rub my clit.”
He did as she’d asked. Using two fingers, he stroked steadily over the place she wanted it most.
“That’s it,” she gasped. Her heart rate picked up and her inner thighs tensed. “Just there, a little harder, faster.”
“I want you to come.”
“I will… fuck… I will.” She pushed higher into her pussy, enjoying the filling sensation combined with his fingers on her clit. A long low groan bubbled up from her chest.
He dipped his head. “Does it feel good?”
“Yes. Yes.” She closed her eyes and her hips moved in time with the stimulation.
He kissed her, his usual sweet gentle kiss, though his breaths were coming out fast, the air storming over her cheek.
Suddenly he stopped working her clitoris.
“Lucas.” She stared up at him. “What?”
“Let me in here.” He tugged her wrist, dragging her fingers from her pussy.
She nodded and stilled.
