“Hey, Beautiful. How was your shower?”
I sighed and tossed my head back, “Much needed.”
“Ready to grab some lunch?” He asked.
The only thing I wanted to grab wasn’t in a restaurant. I sighed. “Sure.”
He took my hand and we walked down the side path towards the restaurant. This really was a beautiful place. I looked up and saw the sign for the restaurant. We continued a little further and were met by Elijah.
“Mr. and Mrs. Adair. Your table is ready. Follow me.”
We followed Elijah out to an enclosed cabana. I looked at Moses and he smiled. “This is beautiful.”
“Your husband said he wanted something special for your first meal,” Elijah announced.
I covered my mouth with my hands. I felt like an idiot. This was why he was acting so strange.
“I thought a picnic would be nice,” Moses took my hand and helped me down onto one of the cushions.
“Does everything meet with your approval, sir?”
“It’s perfect, Elijah. Thank you.”
“I’ll tell the chef you’re here, and to send out your first course.” Elijah walked away.
I looked around the cabana, admiring the beautiful fabrics and decor. It was very romantic. Moses filled my glass and handed it to me. “Thank you.”
“Here’s to an incredible honeymoon.” He leaned his glass toward mine and I stopped him.
“Can I say something?”
“Sure.”
I was silent for a few moments. “I’m sorry about the way I behaved. It’s just…”
“Shhh…” He kissed me.
“No. I have to say this. I love you, and I don’t want you to ever think I’m ungrateful. I apologize for acting like a brat. It’s just, I’m so freakin’ frisky…” I covered my mouth and smiled. “Did I say that out loud?”
“Come here.” I scooted close to him and he kissed me. “Me, too.”
“Let’s hurry with lunch and get this honeymoon started.” I smiled.
“Eat up, you’ll need the strength,” he teased.
“Is that a promise?”
“It’s a statement of fact.” We clinked our glasses.
“Best toast, Baby.” I smiled.
After lunch, we walked back to the villa. I was still kicking myself for acting like such a brat. My husband had gone way out of his way to make our first day here special.
“Do you want anything?” he asked.
The only thing I want is for him to… “ No, I’m fine.”
“I’ll be right back. I’ll meet you on the lounge.” He kissed me and went inside. I turned, and started walking and noticed a few stray white rose petals. I kept walking and the trail of rose petals increased. I looked up and there were even more petals leading to a huge puddle arranged like a rug. I took my sandals off and gingerly stepped onto the petals and they were cool, sending a chill up my legs. I looked to the side and saw a small table with a bottle of champagne, two glasses and strawberries.
Maybe this was a honeymooner’s surprise from the resort. Suddenly, I heard soft music and felt Moses hands ease around my waist pulling me to him. His plans for the rest of the day were clear by the care in which he arranged this surprise.
He kissed my neck and the intoxicating scent of his cologne and natural pheromones made me weak in the knees. “It was so difficult not giving in to you earlier.” He inched closer and whispered. “I have been dreaming about our first night here.”
My body instantly reacted to his confession. My sarong felt tight and uncomfortable lying across my breasts. He slid his hot hands inside the opening of my sarong and cupped my swollen breasts. My heart began to race. Then he brushed the tip of his thumbs across my hard nipples and I fell back against his chest. I bit my bottom lip, savoring the pleasurable feeling. “I…I…I…”
“Shhh..” He rubbed the hard nubs between his fingers and a jolt traveled to my core.
“Uhm…what…what…” I forgot I wanted to ask him something. I covered his hands pressing them against my swollen breasts. The sensual motion aroused me even more. He tweaked one of my nipples again, and I gasped. His obvious arousal was pressed against my behind. “Oh God…I…I want…” I was on the verge of exploding. “Baby…please…” The kneading and teasing were almost too much to handle. My body tightened. I opened my mouth to scream, but there were no words, just deep moans.
“I have been picturing your beautiful naked body on a bed of white rose petals, under the stars as we made love.”
“I…I…”
“Then I started imagining how your cries of pleasure would sound with the ocean as your back up.” What is he doing to me? He knows his words are an aphrodisiac for me. He eased his hot hand down my stomach inside my bright yellow bikini bottom. He teased my dark curls and I almost came undone.
“Baby…I…I…” I don’t know how I ended up naked on the bed of cool, white rose petals. I tried to open my eyes, but I couldn’t.
“In my dream, it was a long, slow journey into ecstasy.” He kissed my neck and whispered a simple request. “Open for me, Baby. Let me take you high.”
I couldn’t breathe, let alone speak. I nodded my answer, and felt his hot hands on my thighs as he pulled them apart. The anticipation of his taking me to that place of pleasure made my heart race even faster. He kissed the inside of my thigh and my body started to spasm. “Baby,” I cried out. This fantasy of his was both torture and pleasure. He eased his fingers inside my sweet spot, and my body began to writhe to the rhythm of his touch.
“Not yet,” he whispered.
Not yet. I’m about to jump off the ledge, and he says, “Not yet.” His fingers traveled deeper and I cried out again. I pressed down on his hand, because I needed him to stay right there. I needed him to stroke that spot until I crossed over.
“Oh, God, yes!” I was right about to cross over, and he stopped. It was like he snatched my orgasm back, dangling it in front of me like a worm on a hook in front of a fish. I could see it, but I couldn’t reach it, not yet.
“All night, remember,” he whispered.
My body was in full duress and I wanted, no I needed, to let go. I was shaking and breathing hard. I knew I couldn’t hold on much longer. He took one of my breasts in his mouth, taunting and teasing me. He gently bit on my nipple and I started to crack. Oh, God…forget the all night. I needed to let go now.
I covered his hand and pressed it harder against my sweet spot hoping to get my release. “Please, Baby…I need to…”
“Almost.”
“I…I…can’t…”
“Shhh…look at me.” With every bit of energy I had, I opened my eyes. “God, you’re beautiful.” I felt my mouth turn up into a smile. “The other part of my dream, was to share your orgasm. The two shall become one. This first time, I want us to get there together.”
I cupped his face, pulled him down to me, and took his mouth in a hard kiss. “Whatever you desire.”
He removed his sarong, rested his hips against mine and wrapped my legs around his waist. “I want every piece of you. Don’t hold anything back.” He held my hands down against the cool, white rose petals, and buried himself deep inside my core, serving up a powerful rhythm.
“I love how you feel wrapped around me.”
He grabbed one of my dark nubs between his teeth and the intense pleasure sent a jolt to my core. “Oh, God,” I cried out. He moved his mouth to the other nub, and it was even more powerful.
“I want it all.” He kissed that hot wet spot between both breasts and I arched up into his mouth. I wanted to touch him but he wouldn’t let me. My desire was rising with every push he made. The harder and deeper he went, the closer I got to the edge.
“Baby, I…”
He let go of my hands, and I grabbed his behind. I pushed him deeper until I felt myself tighten around him. Suddenly he stopped moving and looked at me. “Don’t hold back.”
He raised my hips to his and started moving agai
n. He dove deeper, and harder, and there it was. “Yes!” I went over the edge and took Moses with me.
My entire body was throbbing. I tried to open my eyes and move, but I couldn’t. Moses collapsed on top of me. We were both breathing hard.
I brushed the beads of sweat along his temple, and kissed his shoulder. We lay still, waiting for our bodies to float back down. I had been pleasured from top to bottom. I eased my hands down his back, caressing his tight behind. After a few seconds, he rolled over onto the cool, white petals and pulled me to his side.
“I had…a…first…day dream,…too.” I confessed as I stroked his sculpted chest.
Breathing hard. “What…was…it?”
I eased my hand down the front of his carved wet body, along the inside of his thigh and he flinched. “I…I…pictured…us…making…love…all…night…under…, I breathed deep, “…the stars.”
A sweet smile rose to his lips. “I like it…when…my dreams…come…true.”
Chapter Twenty-Eight

“HELLO, LITTLE MOMMY.”
“Hi, Bas.”
“Is my godson up for some company?”
“I don’t know about him, but I could use some.”
“I’ll bring lunch.”
“That would be nice. I think the nanny is tired of talking to me,” I laughed.
“See you in an hour. Bye.”
I looked at Parker. “Your Uncle Bas is on his way with lunch. He said he’s coming to see you. However, Mommy thinks it’s female trouble. We’ll see.”
Parker and I finished our walk around the side of the house to the patio. I sat down and opened the buffet for Parker. I brushed his cheek and smiled. “God, please don’t let me screw up my son.”
“Anyone home?” the deep voice called out.
“We’re over here.” I stood up.
Bas walked over, and kissed me on the cheek. “Hey, little man.” He brushed Parker’s arm and he yawned. “Am I keeping you up?” He smiled.
“He just finished lunch. Want to hold him?”
“Sure.”
“Sit down.” I waited for him to sit down, then I walked over and placed Parker in his arms. “Be careful.”
“Did you forget I helped deliver him?”
“I’m sorry.” I brushed Parker’s forehead.
“Little man, your mommy forgot, you and I are old friends.”
“How’s Kendell?”
“Why would you ask me that?”
“The bag.” I pointed to the white and orange Tangerine Spice shopping bag.
“I had Kim pick up lunch.”
I placed the food containers on the table. “Still can’t bring yourself to go over there?”
“That’s not it.” He looked down at Parker, then back at me. “I saw her yesterday…with her new man.”
“What?” I opened the containers. “Are you sure it wasn’t a vendor?”
“I don’t go around jamming my tongue down my vendor’s throats.”
“What? Dish.” I put a forkful of salad in my mouth, chewed and swallowed.
“I went over to pick up some lunch and figured I’d miss Kendell if I parked in the back. The joke was on me. When I pulled into the parking lot, I saw this couple going at it. As I got closer, I realized it was Kendell and some guy.”
I started choking and sipped some water. “Kendell?”
“Yep. He had his tongue so far down her throat, he could touch her appendix.”
I repeated my question. “Kendell?”
“That’s what I said.”
“Who’s the guy?”
“I don’t know. They were leaned up against a black Porsche.”
“Really?” I put another forkful of salad into my mouth.
“LawJack.”
“What did he look like?”
“Shorter than me, kind of stocky.”
“Yellow, with a mustache?”
“You know him?” He sipped his water.
“Sounds like Jackson Young.”
“Who is he?
“His father is Clarence Young. He has one of the largest law firms in the city.” I sipped my iced tea. “He’s a jerk.” Bas started laughing. “Did I say that out loud?”
“Yes.”
“It’s the truth. He tried to hit on me.”
“He’s not your type.”
I smiled. “How do you know my type?”
“Hello, how long have we been friends?”
“Point taken.” I sipped more iced tea. “Interesting. I heard a rumor he was sexually fluid.” Bas started choking and patting his chest. “Don’t drop my son.”
“I’ve got my godson.” He sipped his water. “What did you say?”
“I need to verify my info, but I heard he was sexually fluid.”
“I don’t want to hear anymore.”
“I do. So I’ll be doing a little research tomorrow. Sure you don’t want to know?”
“It’s none of my business. If Kendell wants to make a fool of herself, that’s on her.”
I tried not laughing at him. “So, what else is going on? Any word from Alex?”
“They arrived safely, and she told me not to call unless it’s an emergency. Even then, I better think three times.” We laughed. “I lost that bet.”
“What bet?”
“I told Moses there was no way he was going to get her to miss the last of Fashion Month.”
“We had better check the weather report in hell, because I think it just froze over.” We laughed louder. “So, was I your last call.”
“What do you mean?”
“Why did you call me to talk about Kendell?”
“I thought you could tell me how to stop hurting?” He looked at me, and my heart went out to him.
I reached over and covered his hand. “When I find out, I’ll let you know.”
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Alex
* * *
I LOOKED OVER AT MY husband sleeping, and gently stroked the side of his face. He’s usually the first one up, but since we got here, I’ve become the early bird. I also can’t believe how frisky I am. We have an incredible sex life. However, I think this place and some much needed rest has kicked my libido into overdrive. Seems like all I want to do is ravage my husband.
He reached over, slowly opened his eyes and looked up at me and smiled. “Hey, Baby.” He kissed my arm. “How long was I asleep?”
“A couple of hours.” I smiled.
He sat up. “What? I’m sorry. I promised we’d go into town.” He sat up and leaned against the chaise.
I put my iPad down, straddled his lap and kissed him. “So, what do you want to do this afternoon?”
He grabbed my hips, pulled me close, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I inched up his lap and felt his answer to my question. “I don’t know. What did you have in mind?” He smiled.
“Talking.”
“Talking?” He pulled me closer. “Is that code for…”
“I want to ask you something.” He sighed, and I knew what that meant. I rested my hands on top of his arms. “I want you to be honest.”
“I always am.”
“You said Natalie didn’t like having sex with you.”
He shifted slightly. “Why are we bringing that up?”
“Shhh, Baby, let me finish.” I kissed him. “You said she didn’t like it. Did you ask her why?”
“Is this really what you want to talk about?”
“Yes, it’s important.”
He sighed. “Yes, I did. And she never gave me a reason.”
“Did you ever meet her lover?” After the word left my lips, I realized it was a poor choice.
“No. I take that back. I saw him once, coming out of her studio.”
“Describe him.”
“Alex, really?” I shifted, and his arousal was still there.
“Please, baby. It’s important to me.”
“He was shorter than me. Light ski
nned and husky. I thought he was a repairman. It never occurred to me, that…”
“Did you contact him after she died?”
“Yes. I called and told him both Natalie and the baby died. Why is this so important to you?”
“One last question.”
“Why do you think she didn’t like being intimate with you?”
“I thought it was because I wasn’t as good a lover as she desired.” He sighed. “But the truth is, we just never clicked emotionally.” I nodded. “Maybe if we had, things would have been different, or she would have felt comfortable telling me what she wanted. My turn. What about you and…”
“It was the first time, so there was a certain amount of false euphoria.” He looked confused by my response. “I wasn’t expecting a lot. It wasn’t like it was with you.”
“So you were expecting a lot our first time?” He smiled.
“Yes.”
“I hope I lived up to your expectations.”
“Above and beyond.” I tucked my hair behind my ear. “Terry was more concerned with himself. I don’t think he cared if I was satisfied or not. In the short time we were married, I only had one orgasm, I think. To be honest, I’m not even sure that’s what it was.” I smiled.
“Are you serious?”
“Yes.” I patted his chest. “Please don’t take this the wrong way. When I compare both first times…”
“Babe, I hope this is…”
I smiled. “I was very nervous to be with you, because I figured you were more experienced, and I wasn’t sure you were going to like my body.”
He sat up a little and brushed my arms. “Why would you think that?”
“I’ve seen pictures of your first wife, and met your ex-fiancee. In spite of their bizarre behavior, they had beautiful looks in common.”
“Are you kidding me?”
“No. I don’t look anything like them.”
“No, you don’t.”
“I know I’m not unattractive, but I also know…when we make love, you make me feel beautiful and desired and that’s all that matters.
“I don’t ever want you to compare yourself to either of them.”
