“I know. She’s used it on him before.”

“Did he deserve it that time?”

  “Yes, he did.”

Jack gazed down at the seraph. “Have you had a medical exam recently?”

“Just a routine physical,” Seth said. “I can’t remember ever feeling this healthy in my entire life.”

“Yeah, that’s my point exactly. You do realize you’ve stopped aging, right?”

Seth nodded. “That’s what the Choir thinks.”

“From what I hear, some parts of you are actually becoming younger. Like maybe you’ll end up in your physical prime again.”

  “Could be.”

“Did the Keepers have something to do with that?”

“It would appear so, though it might not have been intentional.”

“Well, it’s good to finally have another immortal on the team.” Jack clapped Seth on the shoulder.

  “Another immortal?”

“Someone to share eternity with, you know?”

  “I’m not following.”

“Well…” Jack shrugged as if embarrassed. “I don’t know. This whole becoming a bane thing bothers me sometimes. Have I told you about this?”

“No, you haven’t.” Seth looked over. “Want to?”

“It’s the fear of loneliness, you know? It just scares me.”

“I would have thought you’d be over stuff like that. You’ve known what you’ve been becoming for a while.”

“Nah, that’s different. It’s the ‘living forever’ part that’s the worst. It’s just the thought of everything I know and everyone I’ve ever met not being there. They die, and I just go on existing forever.”

“Yeah, that is sad when you think of it like that,” Seth said.

“But if there are other people to share eternity with, then it’s not so bad.”

“Eternity is a long ways off given what we have ahead of us.”

“Yeah, I know. What do you think will happen when we catch up with them?”

“I don’t know. I’ve been wondering if we really have to fight. Perhaps we can save them.”

“Them?” Jack asked. “Them, as in the plural them? As in both of them? I understand the one, but Veketon?”

Seth nodded. “We might not have to kill him. Veketon was once a Keeper.”

  “Really?”

“Well, actually a Seeker, but they’re an off-shoot.”

“Huh. And how do you know this?”

  Seth grinned slyly. “Just do.”

“Huh.” Jack shrugged. “Well, stranger things have happened.”

“What, you mean like being a walking corpse?”

At first Jack just stared at him. Then he smiled with his jaw tightly clenched. Finally, he broke down and started laughing. The camaraderie and laughter went on as they talked into the night. All the while, the Keeper’s Judgment made fold after fold, taking it further away from the Alliance.

And closer to their final confrontation.

  DISCIPLE OF THE DEAD

Fueled by the soul. Hunted by the dead.

Seth Elexen and a small group of elite pilots have tracked the renegade Veketon to the far side of the galaxy. With only one ship and a single squadron of seraphs, they alone must face the tyrant within the heart of his rebuilding power.

But Veketon is no easy mark. Through perverse sciences, he has been reborn as a pilot of terrifying power, and Quennin S’Kev, a woman Seth abandoned for all the wrong reasons, stands by his side and will defend him to the death.

Now Seth has one final desperate chance at success, but in order to get to Veketon, he must be willing to kill the only woman he has ever loved.

  THE DRAGONS OF JUPITER

“The strong action scenes are fast-paced throughout… the dialogue flows well, and the fictional world is detailed, plausible and well-designed… Well-written, sincere and undemanding military sci-fi adventure.”

  TIME REAVERS

“After the fast opening, chapters rarely pass without a big, life-or-death battle, which leaves the novel in a nearly continuous intense state.”

  - KIRKUS REVIEWS

The monsters are real, and time is their weapon.

Fed up with bad teachers and daily fights with her sister, sixteen-year-old Nicole Taylor yearns for something better. Sadly, she’s in for a letdown, because the world ends next week.

Nicole discovers she has a rare gift. She can bend time around her and even stop it completely. With her powers awakening, she must face the Reavers: horrific killing machines that exist outside our time.

Plagued with nightmares and ambushed by monsters at every turn, Nicole has one chance to stop their genocidal invasion. With help from a chain-smoking pyrokinetic, a neurotic sword-wielding assassin, and an icy goth chick with a crossbow, she may stand a chance.

But the Reavers are tireless foes, and Time is on their side.
