I undressed, moving slower than I wanted, just to torment her. She wiggled and moaned. Moving to the bed, I ran my hands up her legs and then pulled her boots off, one at a time, lingering at the tender skin on her inner thighs. The strip of underwear she wore left little to the imagination, she was wet and ready. Unable to hold it any longer, I pulled off the garment and climbed between her legs.
My hands found hers and anchored us to the bed as she wrapped her legs around me. I moved to her opening, so happy I was bare and could feel her against me. Avery and I had decided that starting a family was in the cards sooner rather than later. No more protection and no more birth control. On top of that, she made me go the entire last month without sex, something about it being romantic. I was a fucking ticking time bomb, but I was determined to keep things slow as I entered her.
“Please, Coop,” she pleaded, as I languidly slid in and out of her warm folds, never fully penetrating.
I chuckled, barely holding back the load that was threatening to erupt from my body. I wanted this moment to last forever. Avery’s gorgeous wavy long hair was fanned out across the pillows as she tossed her head back and forth. Her eyes were glazed over in passion, and her mouth was slightly open in a moan. Sweat glistened on the curves of her body.
She was mesmerizing.
I stilled my movements once I was sheathed to the hilt, locked inside her, relishing what a fucking lucky son of a bitch I was. That morning, when she came down the aisle toward me in a flowing white dress and a loving smile, I thought she was truly the most beautiful I had ever seen her. This was definitely a close second. My wife, naked except for her diamonds – my diamonds, my promise – wrapped around her finger, and me, bare, wrapped up in her heat, as we started our life together and our own family. Life didn’t get any better than this.
First and foremost, I need to thank the person that never lets me give up. The man that pushes me to keep going even when I want to sit in the corner and cry like a baby. Justin, you are my everything and I couldn’t have chased this dream without you by my side. I love you more than you will ever know.
My book team, Shauna Kruse, BT Urruela, MGBookCovers & Design, and T.E. Black Designs, you are the best! I was so blessed to have connected with each and every one of you for this book. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your patience with me while I figure out all the moving parts to this industry. You’ve all been a wealth of knowledge and I’m looking forward to working with you all again in the future!
Jenn Wood, my editor, my savior. I couldn’t have picked a better person to work with me on my book babies and I don’t know what I would do without you. You’ve wiped my tears and loved the characters as much as I have. You’ve let me, be me. That means more to me than you realize.
Alex Grayson and Heather Lyn, my fellow author ladies, you were the first two to take me under your wings and to answer my never-ending questions. The messages you have both sent mean more to me than I can put into words. You’ve kept me going on some days and for that I thank you.
Jen Harris and Jessica Woodcock, my cheerleaders from the beginning. There are no sentences, phrases, or words for the love that I hold for you two. You’ve always made me push my boundaries and never given up on me. Hope you are ready to continue this journey because I’m just getting started.
Katreana Youland, my person, the one that lets me talk about my characters as though they exist in the real world. You have been such a great sounding board as I have changed things up. Thank you so much! I love you!
Starr Ochoa, the newest member of my group, my VA, my voice when I don’t have one. Thank you, lady, for jumping in as quickly as you have to help me and to share my stories. I look forward to working more with you and watching you chase your dreams. You’ve got this girl!
My readers, local and worldwide, my reason for writing in the first place. I had only hoped and dreamed that I would be a published author someday, but you’ve all helped to make that a reality. Your love for my characters has me pushing through the bad days and celebrating the good, your requests for certain stories has me reworking series to get them in, and your excitement over my writing has me living my dream. I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
