From Sir, With Love Page 31

“You care for her?” Tobias said. It was one thing for Chase to take an interest in the members and introduce them one night at the club. It was entirely a different thing to seek out a member to meet with outside of the club and discuss the potential for an introduction. There was something special about Amber. “Were you two together?”

“Not strictly speaking. Amber and I played together on occasion, before I was with Liz. We were never romantically involved, but we’re friends. And I like to look out for my friends.” Chase said it with a smile, but Tobias could hear the clear threat in the other man’s voice.

“I see.” He didn’t remember meeting someone at the club named Amber before. It was possible their paths had crossed, and he just didn’t know it. He had been working on finding the right partner. But this... this was something else entirely. Could he do that? Could he share a woman with another dominant? Was he even interested in trying?

“This doesn’t need to happen right now. Or ever, obviously, if you’re not interested. I just thought I’d introduce you two, and you guys could take it from there. There’s a pre-party mixer Friday night, if you’re interested in meeting her.”

Couldn’t hurt, right? Might be nice to do something interesting. If he and Amber didn’t get along or couldn’t come to an agreement, that was fine. But he could at least meet with her.

“Yeah, sure. I can do that. Do you have someone else in mind who you’d also be introducing her to?”

“Not as of yet. So if you have any suggestions, any friends who might fit the bill, that would be great.”

A sudden thought occurred to him. “Does Amber even know you’re here?”

After a small chuckle, Chase said, “Yeah, man, of course. This shit is not something you just go and do behind someone’s back. Especially a woman like Amber. That would be suicidal.”

“I think I’m gonna like this woman.”

  “That’s the plan.”

Tobias smiled. He didn’t care for submissives who were too mild-mannered. He liked bending them to his will. He liked demanding they submit to him. And watching them bend their will to his. Suddenly, he was looking forward to Friday very much.

Tobias glanced around The K Club, eager to find her. For three days, this meeting was all he’d been able to think about. Even at work, which normally kept his full focus, he’d allowed himself to be distracted by thoughts of Amber Olson, the submissive who’d decided she wanted it all. The one who wanted everything he had to give, and then some.

He still wasn’t sure how the logistics would work, how they could find a third person to add to the mix that would make things work. He wasn’t exactly looking forward to sharing a woman, but he couldn’t deny that the prospect of a new relationship had his blood surging.

It had been a while since he’d had a steady submissive to play with. He didn’t have any idea what Amber looked like, but he knew at some point Chase would find them both and introduce them. And it would be up Tobias to figure things out with her from there. A little buzz suffused his body as he sipped his drink at the bar. He wished that it was a nice dark bourbon he was drinking, but since there was a play party afterward, The K Club wasn’t serving alcohol.

He caught Chase coming through the crowd from the back stairs, and a nervous flutter flipped his stomach. Oh, nervous. That was new.

Tobias prided himself on his ability to look directly into the face of a stress-inducing situation and keeping himself calm, collected. What was it about this concept that had him actually nervous? Chase stopped beside a few women on his way over, and each time, Tobias found himself wondering if that was the mysterious Amber.

“Hey, stranger,” a voice said from beside him. He turned in his seat to the right and found a lovely woman with short brunette hair. She sized him up in seconds, and sat on the barstool there, as if she’d been invited.

“Hey yourself,” he said. Obviously, he wasn’t committed to Amber yet. He’d only agreed to meet her. But he still felt kind of like he should make some small talk here and excuse himself.

“What is it you’re looking for tonight?” she asked.

He raised a brow. This woman liked to throw down the gauntlet. “I’m actually supposed to be meeting someone.”

“I see. Someone special?” she pressed. She leaned against the backrest of the bar stool, casually lifting her arm along the back. Her bright purple dress moved against her body like water as she moved. She noticed him noticing and smiled.

“I hope so, Amber,” he said, taking a gamble. He didn’t know much about her from his meeting with Chase, but she’d seemed like the kind of woman who would want to approach him first. Level the playing field so to speak.

“Clever, aren’t you?” she teased in a sultry voice.

“I like to think so, yes.”

“And what else are you, Tobias?” she asked, confirming she had known who he was all along.

“Demanding. Some might even say cruel.” Some in fact had. He’d pushed submissives too far before. It wasn’t a proud thing, to be sure. He liked pushing some boundaries, but his demands had broken more than one ongoing relationship before.

“Perfect.” The gleam in her eye made his breath quicken.

“But I hear I may not be all you’re looking for?”

“You heard correctly. That going to be a problem?”

“No, princess, I don’t think that’s going to be a problem at all.”

  Keep Reading Now

Amber Olson can’t find what she wants in a man. She’s been through Doms the way some women go through cocktails. Swiping right, swiping left – it doesn’t matter. Every encounter leaves her wanting. Obviously, something is wrong with her. She can’t find a Sir who meets her needs. Until Tobias.

He’s dark, mysterious, harsh... maybe a little too harsh. Their sessions leave her begging for more, but the intensity soon becomes too much and she finds herself searching for something lighter, someone sweeter.

When Nathaniel seems to fit that bill all too well, she has to figure out what to do. She can’t have it both ways. Can she?

A terribly bad, wonderful idea strikes: maybe instead of one Sir, what she really needs is two. But two possessive dominants could never agree to share one submissive.
