The Eastwood Series Page 19

  “Ford?”

My arm tightened around her body. Amelia was currently draped over my body with her head nestled in the crook of my arm. “Hmm?”

“I know you guys get physicals at the beginning of the year, right?”

“Yeah,” I confirmed. “All Eastwood athletes do. Even the girls.”

“What was the result of yours?” she asked quietly, and my body tensed.

After a few seconds, I said, “I’m healthy as a horse.”

She snuggled closer and I tightened my hold of her. “I’ve…I’ve never had sex without a condom before,” she offered up. “And…and I’m on birth control.”

There was no way she could not hear my heart threatening to beat clean out of my chest. Her cheek was pressed against it, so she had to notice the rapid ticks. Amelia was offering something that I’d never contemplated before because I’ve never like a girl enough to even entertain the idea of having sex without protection; protection for the both of us. Not ever knowing what it felt like to fuck without a condom, I had no issues with suiting up. I wasn’t sure why she was suggesting it now, but double the protection sounded perfect to me.

“You have a problem with condoms?”

  “No,” she replied. “I just thought…I don’t know…”

I squeezed her. “Don’t chicken out on me now, Amelia.”

She let out a low sigh. “I just thought…things might be more special without them. You know, like…we could give each other something that we’ve never given someone else.”

“Amelia, you have a lot of things I’ve never given anyone else,” I reminded her.

She rolled over and propped herself up on my chest. Her sated brown gaze bore into mine. “Granted, it’s probably tacky as hell to be discussing this while my body is still naked and throbbing from what we’ve been doing, but…well, this is important to me.” I gave her a quick nod to continue. “Our bodies will never be each other’s first, and even though this is a first for you as far as relationships go, it’s not a first for me. I’ve been in a serious relationship before. I already know what it feels like to be a part of something private and personal.” My jaw clenched at the reminder that not only was I not her first physically, but I wasn’t her first emotionally either. “I was always careful because who wants an unexpected accident even if you feel like you’re in love, right?” I didn’t comment because hearing her tell me she’s been in love before was another tough lick. “Anyway, it’s the only thing I can think of that…will be ours, and ours only.”

I mulled over her words, and I understood what she was trying to accomplish, but I kind of felt that what we had was already just ours. We already had something for ourselves, and we didn’t need to take unnecessary risks to prove something. Or, at least, I didn’t.

“Amelia, I don’t feel as if anything is missing,” I told her as my hand played with her hair. “I’m not comparing what we have emotionally with what you had with Earnest, and I’m not comparing what we have physically with what I had with the girls before you. I don’t feel like we need to take such a serious step just to prove that what we have is…special or real.”

Her eyes dipped and she looked embarrassed. When she looked back up at me, she said, “I’m not comparing what we have now to our prior relationships, Ford. At least, that’s not how I meant for it to come across.”

“Amelia, what would you do if we got pregnant?” I asked. Us getting pregnant would change the entire direction of our lives.

She rolled her eyes and dropped back onto my chest, so we were cuddling again. “I get what you’re saying, Ford. It’s a risk. A big one. But it’s not like I’d expect you to give up your entire life to do the right thing.”

And that’s why we were going to keep using condoms.

“Because your life, your future is expendable?”

“Ford, I don’t even know what my future looks like right now,” she said, surprising me. “I haven’t even begun to look at colleges because I have no idea what I want to do with my life yet. I’m…floundering.”

It was selfish, and it was unfair, but I was serious about Amelia. Even if this was officially new, I’ve been serious about the girl since the night she stormed into Sloan’s party. “What would you say to applying to the same colleges?” I asked.

I felt her body still in my hold. “Aren’t you applying to football schools?”

“Yeah, we all are. Well, except for Duke when the time comes.” Then I thought about it. “Isn’t Steele?”

I felt her nod against my chest. “Yeah. He and my parents are already looking into it.”

“So are all of us,” I informed her. “Samson has the luxury of unlimited money, so he can do whatever he wants and go wherever he wants. The rest of us need to start planning now.”

“But Samson’s automatically headed towards the NFL, isn’t he?” she asked. “Why wouldn’t he go to the top football school?”

“Because he loves Mackenzie enough to follow her to junior college or McDonald’s if that’s where she heads,” I told her truthfully.

Her voice was low but clear. “And would you want me following you?”

“I would love for you to follow me,” I answered without hesitation. “But I can make long-distance work, too.” I rolled over until she was pinned beneath me. “I’m serious about us, Amelia. This isn’t something I’m biding my time with until I graduate and head off to college. I want you for the long haul.”

Her arms came up and wrapped around my neck. “It is crazy that it feels this serious so fast?”

“Baby, I’ve liked you forever,” I admitted. “I liked you while you were dating Earnest, but I’m not that type of guy. I’d never ruin a relationship and, quite frankly, I’m not sure I’d want a girl who could be lured away from her guy, anyway.”

Her face softened. “So, you were just waiting for me to get on board?” she teased.

“Yeah, until I couldn’t wait anymore,” I smirked. “Until I wanted to rip that asshole apart for dancing with you the night of the game.”

“Yeah, well…Wendy,” she said, her voice a little snarky.

“How mad would you be if I said I liked knowing you were jealous?”

“Well, that was before,” she muttered, clearly embarrassed.

I leaned down and ran my lips across her jaw. “Yeah. Before,” I agreed as I pushed against her.

Amelia spread her legs and let out soft moan. “I thought we were going to head back to the party?”

“We were,” I murmured against her skin. “But then, you started talking about fucking without a condom to being in love with me to following me after high school.”

“I don’t recall saying I was in love with you anywhere in there,” she countered, her voice a throaty moan.

“You must have not been paying attention,” I insisted as I worked my way down her body, my dick revolting at having to wait his turn.

“I thought we were out of condoms,” she remarked. “Maybe go stock up before you start something we agreed we couldn’t finish.”

“That’s what our mouths are for, baby.” I got comfortable in between her thighs again. One more time. Just one more time before we headed back out to the party.

“Ford…” she rasped out as my tongue made out with her pussy.

I ate at her core until her hands pulled at my hair, and she was crying out my name again. Reciprocating would be completely up to her, but I wanted her to know that every time I put my hands or mouth on her it was because I wanted to, and not because I expected something in return.

I crawled up her body and I knew I’d never get tired of putting that look of satisfaction on her face. “Amelia?”

  Her eyes fluttered open. “Yeah?”

“I’m pretty sure I’m already in love with you,” I announced.

“Yeah?” Her smile lazy and satisfied.

  My response was absolute. “Yeah.”

  Epilogue

  Raiden~

  Usually, I lov
ed Halloween. I meant what healthy, red-blooded teenage boy didn’t? Hell, what grown ass man didn’t, for that matter?

It was the night girls were allowed to roam in the streets in the sluttiest costume they could find, and it was okay. Fuck, they damn near turned it into a competition. And I was a man who appreciated the female form. There was nothing more beautiful than a fucking female.

  Nothing.

Short, tall, blonde, brunette, redhead, White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, thin, thick, curvy, blue eyes or brown eye, or any other color in between…females were fucking perfection. My eyes were also capable of appreciating a female without wanting to fuck her. The fact that I was popular and played football was just a plus when it came to the fairer sex, but I didn’t need to stick my dick in every girl who batted her lashes my way.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’ve dipped my dick in a lot of girls at Eastwood, but that didn’t mean I had to dip my dick in every girl I met. Truth be told, I haven’t stuck my dick in any girl since the beginning of the year. And all because of the one girl who’s been driving me to distraction.

  Charlie Harden.

“Cruz!” I turned and saw Daren Whitley give me a peace sign. He was hosting Eastwood’s Halloween party this year, and his house was packed wall-to-wall with barely clad girls and drunk guys hoping to score. Duke, Ford, Amelia, Samson, Mackenzie, and Alistair were all around here somewhere, but I had made myself scarce knowing that this shit between me and Charlie was starting to stress everyone out.

I had a lot of conflicting emotions about the girl, and I knew I was going to have to either push forward or pull back for good with her. I had never planned on liking the girl, but she had captured my attention from the very beginning of the school year. Over our years at school together, she never ran with the sports crowd even though she played soccer, so we never had an opportunity to meet and get to know each other. Samson dating her cousin changed all that, though. And before I knew it, I was thinking about the girl all the damn time.

My thoughts started going down that dark rabbit hole again, so I headed towards the kitchen for another beer. It never occurred to me that my journey to the kitchen would result in two things that would send me down that dark rabbit hole faster and farther than I could handle.

Passing the living room, I noticed a short brunette dancing with Gavin Dallas. She was dressed in a slutty cop uniform, with fake baton and all. Her ass cheeks were hanging out of the skirt and the top was just a bra encasing a fantastic pair of tits. Her creamy skin shimmered with sparkling lotion, and she was wearing fuck-me heels, putting her nearly as tall as Gavin.

She was also dancing all over him with a drink in one hand and her baton in the other.

Rage snaked up my spine and I could feel it wrapping around my throat, threatening to suffocate me. For weeks, she’s been partying like she was making up for lost time. Charlie’s never been a big party person. Her, Amelia, and Alistair were usually the unassuming type, and I’d only seen them at a handful of parties over the years. But, lately, Charlie’s been partying like an 80s rock band.

When Gavin reached out and put his hand on her ass, that was my cue to do what I should have done weeks ago.

Claim Charlie fucking Harden as mine.

One step in, I was hit with the force of drunken body weight. When I looked down, Darla Nichols was wrapped around my body, and she was dressed as a slutty nurse, her tits out and all. “What the fuck, Darla?”

Her arms came around my neck, and she pressed her entire body against mine. “Come on, Raiden, let’s go fuck,” she cooed drunkenly. “I haven’t had your dick in forever.”

I put my hands on her hips to push her away. “Darla, I-” Her lips on mine stopped any protest I had been about to make. Because, believe me, I was going to protest this shit like a motherfucker.

But before I could decline her offer, she pulled back and reached for my dick. “Fuck, Raiden, I want you so bad.”

I looked up, praying for patience, when a pair of big brown eyes met mine.

  Charlie.

  The End.

Just a couple of things before I let you go and get your read on. While I am doing my best to work with better editing and proofreading software, all my books are solo, independent works. I write my books, proofread my books, edit my books, create the covers, etc. I have one beta who gives me feedback on my stories, but other than that, all my books are independent projects.

That being said, I apologize, in advance, for the typos, grammar inconsistencies, or any other mistakes I may make. Since writing is strictly a hobby for me, I haven’t looked for commitments in regard to publishers, editors, etc. My hope is that my stories are enjoyable enough that a few mistakes, here and there, can be overlooked. If not, my books are probably not for you.

Also, I am an avid reader-I mean an AVID reader. I love to read above any other hobby. One of the things about reading that hurts my heart, though, is when I fall in love with a book, but I have to wait for the additional books in the series to be released. Because I feel that disappointment down to my soul, I vowed that if I ever write a series, all books will be published at once. Nope-no waiting over here…LOL. So, if you are reading one of my books, but can’t find any other books on the secondary characters of that book, that means the book is a standalone project.

That being said, standalones aren’t really working out for me because I have readers (and my beta) constantly asking for the stories of the supporting characters. If there is enough interest for the supporting characters, I will do my best to give them their stories, but I will make sure to have the remaining books that were requested out at the same time.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank you, for making this dream of mine come true!

The first acknowledgement will always be my husband (unless we ever divorce, then probably not so much after that), but seeing as how I can’t imagine that day ever coming, I can’t ever put myself out there without thanking him for all his love, support and belief in me.

Second, there’s my family; my daughter,
my son, my grandchildren, my sister, and my mother. They are the people who love me the most, know me the best, and love me dearly, despite all they know…LOL!

And, of course, there’s Kamala. She insists that I don’t have to thank her in every book, but my love for her and gratitude for all her support and enthusiasm, claims otherwise. She’s the first person (outside my family) that I shared this dream with, and she’s been by my side every step of the way. Kam, you really are the best kind of friend!

And, finally, I’d like to thank everyone who’s purchased, read, reviewed, shared, and supported me and my writing. Thank you so much for helping make this dream a reality and a happy, fun one at that! There are not enough ‘Thank You’s in the world.

Anyone who’s ever had to trust in a way they never

thought they were brave enough to do.

  Prologue

I stared at the girl in the mirror, and I expected better of her.

She wasn’t the type to get so wasted, she needed help getting home.

She wasn’t the type to let guys hang all over because she had low self-esteem.

She wasn’t the type to objectify guys and talk like she had no problem with casual sex.

The girl with the disheveled dark brown hair and glassy dark brown eyes looking back at me was a great student, a hell of a striker for the soccer team, a trusting friend, and fucking virgin, for Christ’s sake.

I wasn’t the girl looking back at me, with judgmental eyes that seemed to be saying, “You used to be a great student. You used to be a hell of a striker on the soccer team. You used to be a trusting friend. And, while you’re still a virgin, you’re a fucking mess.”

  So, okay…

Lately my grades have been slipping and lack of sleep has affected my practices and games. And, sure, I’ve been bottling a bunch of shit up instead of asking Mackenzie and Amelia for advice. But I wasn’t completely lost just yet.
