Okay, so maybe I do need other people, maybe even a hot guy with freckles. But while I’m on that subject, I just want it to be known: I will always be a Queen Geek, and that’s enough for anybody. And though it seems like Fletcher and I might become romantically involved, I’m not going to collect on that bet. I like to keep my options open.

Laura Preble is a journalist, singer, teacher, and writer from San Diego, California. The Queen Geek Social Club came to her in a three A.M. dream, and she has written one other young adult novel, Lica’s Angel. Her husband is jazz musician Chris Klich, and they have two children, Austin and Noel.
