Bite Me, Too [sHarmony Shifters 2] (Siren Publishing Everlasting Classic ManLove) Page 12

“Come for me, beautiful.” The words were what Evan apparently needed because he shuddered above him, his spunk splattering against Brandon’s chest as his ass milked Brandon’s cock. Brandon echoed his groan with one of his own, his balls tightening as release wrapped around his prick and demanded he fill his lover up with the sticky proof of his ownership.

As he tumbled over the precipice, he couldn’t help the words that came pouring out of his mouth along with the streams of pleasure. “I love you. Love you so much. So beautiful. Evan. Mine. God!”

Evan kept pace with him until the last bit of pleasure was wrung from his sac and they both sagged in blissful release. “Wow,” Evan whispered, resting his hands on his knees while he stared down at Brandon.

Brandon nodded, panting lightly. “Yeah. Wow. Jesus.” He made a low sound of protest as Evan pulled off his cock. “Don’t go.”

“It’s okay, babe. I’ll be right back. I want to get us cleaned up a bit.” With that he stood before hopping off the couch and taking off in the general direction of Brandon’s master bath. Brandon let his eyes drift shut as he listened to the sounds of his lover moving around in the bathroom. This was life, just the two of them. Their relationship might have been new but it would last. Brandon felt it in his core. Everything else outside of the two of them was just details.

After Evan returned with the wash cloth and cleaned the both of them up, he snuggled in beside him for some quality TV time. CSI somewhere or another was playing but Brandon could’ve cared less. What mattered was that the two of them were together.

“Do you think you’ll be up for a match in a little bit?” Evan asked, tracing the muscle of Brandon’s chest with the tips of his fingers.

  “Hackverse?”

“Yeah. I thought it might be fun.”

Brandon considered it. “You think we can get me set up in here adequately?” He just needed two computers, but whether or not Evan could stay on the bed with him mattered. He didn’t want him going too far.

“Sure. I can sit on the bottom of the bed while you play where you are.”

Brandon opened his mouth to agree, but the TV program suddenly cut away to a news anchor. The emblazoned title on the screen caught his attention. SHarmony Bombers Arrested After Police Shootout At Atlanta Compound. They showed the partially destroyed remains of his office before panning back over to the news anchor. Brandon swallowed. “They caught the bastards.”

Evan raised his head to look at the TV. “They should’ve shot them,” he rumbled, pure hatred washing off of him in waves.

“Hey now, don’t let it turn inward,” Brandon cautioned. Evan had never struck him as a particularly violent person. Those sentiments just didn’t seem right coming from him. “Pity those misguided fucks. They really believe that mess they’re spewing.”

“How can you not hate them for what they did?”

Brandon shrugged. “What good would that do? Do I resent them making me afraid to go back to work? Hell yes. Do I want them to pay for what they’ve done? Absolutely. But wanting them dead accomplishes nothing. I don’t want their stupidity to change who I am, and I don’t want it to change you either. You really want to get back at them?”

  Evan nodded.

He tilted his chin up with a finger before pressing a kiss to his lips. “Then love me and love yourself and be happy.”

Evan’s expression melted. “You’re pretty smart, mate.”

“This I know.” Brandon winked. “Love you, Trigger.”

  “Love you, too, Brandon.”

  Epilogue

  Six Months Later

“Dogs are done,” Brandon called from the patio as Evan jumped on Quinn as Orion lounged in a nearby lawn chair beside his brother. They were completely clothed, bundled up to stave off the chill of winter. It was only a few days before Christmas, and he and Brandon had decided to throw a Christmas party for their friends as a thank-you for all the support they’d offered up as Brandon and Quinn had healed in the aftermath of the bombing.

That nightmare seemed like a distant memory at times, but then Evan would catch a glimpse at Brandon’s scars or the slight limp he would develop whenever the air pressure changed. Then he would be right back to that moment when he was on the phone as bombs rocked his lover’s office. The new building they’d built just out of the city limits was a bigger facility with better security, but it still made him nervous every time Brandon left the house. It was going to take some time for him to come to grips with everything, but the counselor that Brandon and he were going to said that it was fine to take some time to do so.

“I don’t know how you two can stand the water,” Jude griped. The guy was bundled up like an Eskimo with a massive hooded jacket with fur lining the hood.

“It’s forty-three degrees, and this is a heated pool,” Evan said, hanging onto Quinn’s shoulders as they wrestled.

  “Hmph,” Jude grumbled.

Quinn rolled his shoulders to dislodge Evan and sent him tumbling into the pool. He pushed up toward the surface and broke it with a grin. “You two be careful!” Brandon commanded, waving his tongs at the two of them where he stood beside his grill.

“What a Christmas meal,” Quinn teased. “Hot dogs and pulled pork.”

“Dinner of kings,” Logan declared. Orion just glared at Quinn and Evan. The poor kid had been informed that he and Quinn weren’t getting together until after he graduated and went off to college and was not happy about it.

Some of the other volunteer members who had been a part of the shifters coalition that Logan and Jude belonged to had accepted their invitation to join them and were swimming along as well. Logan’s friend, Mikey, was supposed to be arriving late along with Collin, who had been finishing up a client meeting.

“Guys, hurry up and towel off,” Brandon commanded. “Orion, want to help me set the table?”

“Yeah,” Orion said, shooting one more glare at Quinn. “I’ll help.”

“That boy is going to be the death of me,” Quinn murmured, losing some of his enthusiasm. It was hard not to love the guy just because he was so damn cute. “Let’s grab towels.”

Evan nodded and followed him and the rest of their guests out of the water and over to the long rack of towels Brandon’s housekeeper had laid out earlier. They’d even rented two long tables that were big enough to accommodate all the guests they’d invited. The massive formal dining room had been completely redone for their Christmas celebration.

Brandon met him at the door with a warmed robe. “Here. I don’t want you to catch a chill.”

“Thanks, Brandon,” Evan said, his chest warming at the thoughtful gesture.

Brandon winked. “No problem. People are already passing the rolls around. Want to join them or change first?”

“I’ll change. I don’t want to be a poor host.” He smiled. “I love you, you know that?”

“I love you, too, babe,” Brandon said, winking. “Any regrets?”

Evan shook his head. “No way. Everything that’s happened has brought us closer, made us stronger.”

“Damn skippy,” Brandon rumbled. He reached out and ruffled his hair. “Now get going. I don’t want everyone to miss us.”

  “Us?”

“Oh yeah.” Brandon pointed up, and Evan followed his finger to the bit of greenery hanging over head. “That, sir, is mistletoe, and I think it’s bad luck to deny the mandatory make-out rule that accompanies mistletoe. Don’t you think?”

Evan laughed and nodded. “You’re so right.” He took Brandon’s hand in his and tugged him toward their bedroom. He would never get tired of kissing his lover. Now that he knew happiness like this, he didn’t think he would survive without it.

The low murmur of pleasant conversation was uninterrupted by their fused mouths as Brandon made good on the mistletoe rule just inside their bedroom. No matter what happened, they would be there to support one another and never take for granted the beauty of their relationship. Life was good, and for Evan and B
randon, it just kept getting better.
