Frank groaned. “If only we knew more about all of this ghost stuff, maybe I could keep you out of danger.”
Sonja nodded. “I agree. The only resource of books I had burned up.” She looked back out the window. “And the only woman who knew a lot of that information is off somewhere in the world where we can’t reach her.”
“Can you promise me that you’ll be more careful in the future? I know you really tried this time around to do what was right, but somehow you still managed to end up in danger.”
“I’ll try,” Sonja agreed, knowing that was all she could offer him.
Looking out the window, she couldn’t help missing her friend Belinda. Just then, Misty leapt up into the window to remind Sonja that she was there for her, too. Laughing quietly, she happily pet the ghostly cat while Frank looked on in discomfort.
