  The image of an ape

  STUART BURGESS

  192 PP PAPERBACK

  ISBN 978–1–903087–73–2

Have humans descended from apes or was man specially created? Do humans have unique characteristics and abilities that set them apart from all the animals? The answers to these crucial questions determine whether man is just an animal or a special spiritual being. This book shows that there is overwhelming evidence that man has a Creator. The book has many diagrams and includes explanation of similarities between humans and apes, unique characteristics of humans, unique beauty of humans, archaeological and fossil evidence and the importance and relevance of the origins debate.

The design and origin of birds

  PHILIP SNOW

  240PP ILLUSTRATED PAPERBACK

  ISBN 978–1–846250–02–6

Birds are amongst the world’s most beautiful and beloved creations, so it is unsurprising that they have been so widely studied. This book examines closely their wonderful aerial lifestyle and unique, warm-blooded design—often so different from the cold-blooded dinosaurs that they are claimed to have accidentally ‘evolved’ from! Especially as they often precede dinosaurs in the fossil record and their miraculous genetics,

Philip Snow is a wildlife and landscape painter, illustrator and writer. His work appears in many publications and galleries and he has illustrated, or contributed work to, over sixty books and many magazines, prints, cards, calendars, reserve guides and decorated maps etc. Publications include several Collins guides to UK and European birds, and paintings have been exhibited in many top galleries, in the UK and abroad. Latest books (2005) include a Hebridean Wildlife and Landscape Sketchbook, several Children’s Biblical colouring books, a book on estuary life and migration and regularly exhibitions of paintings and prints.

‘Philip Snow has produced a unique book which expertly describes and illustrates the design, life and beauty of birds.’

  Creation & Evolution

Why it matters what you believe

  COLIN GARNER

  32 PP.

  ISBN 978–1–84625–099–6

Why is the creation/evolution issue so important? And hasn’t science disproved the biblical creation account anyway? The world’s evolutionary view permeates virtually all society and secular science, and many people, even Christians, hold an evolutionary view almost by default. They reject the biblical creation account in Genesis as fact. In this booklet Colin Garner demonstrates that, as well as being inconsistent with biblical truth, evolutionary theory has serious
fundamental scientific weaknesses. He highlights the reasons why Genesis, the first book of the Bible, is of such foundational importance to life today, in the hope that it will encourage us all to base our beliefs, our evangelism and our hopes on the whole Bible, including its vital foundational teaching on creation.

Colin Garner PhD is professor of applied thermodynamics at a leading UK university. He conducts research for the UK Government and several major international engine, vehicle and fuel companies. His research has been featured in New Scientist and he has presented his work on national BBC TV and radio. He lecturers on creation/evolution at the East Midlands School of Christian Ministry. Colin is married to Sue and they have three children.

  Genesis for today

  The relevance of the creation/

  evolution debate to today's society

  ANDY MCINTOSH

  240PP ILLUSTRATED PAPERBACK

  ISBN 978–1–84625–051–4

Professor McIntosh is a scientist who sees no contradiction between science and the events of creation in the book of Genesis. He believes that all Christian doctrine, directly or indirectly, has its basis in the literal events of the first eleven chapters of the Bible, and that these foundations of the faith are being undermined in the church by the fallible theories of evolution.

‘For those who have eyes to see, here is ample proof that God’s revealed truth is as trustworthy as ever—and infinitely more certain than every human speculation.’

  —JOHN MACARTHUR

Andy McIntosh, DSc, FIMA, CMath, FEI, CEng, FInstP, MIGEM, FRAeS, is Professor of Thermodynamics and Combustion Theory at the University of Leeds. He has had a career spanning thirty years of conducting scientific research in mathematics, combustion and aeronautics, both in academia and government establishments. He is married with three children and speaks regularly in the UK and abroad concerning the importance of origins. Latterly, his research has brought in the life sciences, with the study of the bombardier beetle, and the whole field of biomimetics—learning engineering solutions from nature.

Darwin and Darwinism 150 years on

Biblical faith and the Christian worldview

  IAN MCNAUGHTON AND PAUL TAYLOR

  112PP ILLUSTRATED PAPERBACK

  ISBN 978–1–84625–162–7

In 1859 Charles Robert Darwin published On the Origin of Species, a book that has had a profound impact on the Western world ever since. Why was this book and its ideas so popular? There can be no reason other than that the UK public were ready to embrace an alternative to the biblical creation account. Here Ian McNaughton and Paul Taylor review Charles Darwin’s religious ideas, setting them in the context of his background and family, and examine his evolutionary claims in the light of the Bible, which sets forth a worldview consistent with faith in God.

‘My colleagues Ian and Paul share my burden to reach Darwin’s homeland with the life-changing creation/gospel message. May God bless their effort to show Britons—and others who read this book—that God’s Word is accurate and authoritative in our modern-day society.’

KEN HAM, PRESIDENT, ANSWERS IN GENESIS/CREATION MUSEUM, USA

‘This excellent book … explains how theistic evolution is not a reconciliation of science with the Bible but rather a damaging union of humanism and the Bible.’

PROFESSOR STUART BURGESS, PROFESSOR OF DESIGN AND NATURE, UK, AND AUTHOR OF HALLMARKS OF DESIGN

Ian McNaughton is Chairman of Answers in Genesis (UK/Europe). He has degrees in Theology and Historical Theology, and is Pastor of West Worthing Evangelical Church, UK. Paul Taylor is the Senior Speaker with Answers in Genesis (UK). He spent seventeen years teaching science and has a Masters degree in Science Education. He is the author of The Six Days of Genesis, Truth, Lies and Science Education and In the Beginning.
