Daisy's Search for Freedom Page 10

by Bertha Schwartz

  CHAPTER 20

Why do you think that Daisy and Simon were so afraid of the train? If you had never seen one before, how would you have reacted?

Where are they going on the train? Have you ever been there? Why do you think they are going there?

Jesus has been the One the children have constantly looked to. How did they trust Him in this chapter? How can you trust Him in your life?

Here is a white man leading black children through busy streets during a time when white people did not associate with black people. Why do you think he would do something like that? Do you treat people better than you treat yourself, even if others make fun of you?

  CHAPTER 21

What did Daisy do to make herself easy to be found? Have you ever been lost in a crowd? What did you do to be found?

What do you think it means to be a “free slave”?

How did Mama show that she trusted in God? Have you trusted God with anything that seems impossible in your life?

Home can mean a lot of things to people. What does it mean to Daisy? What does it mean to you?
