When Lilly shakes her head no, Emily continues, “I would’ve done anything that man wanted, but I didn’t look enough like his precious Alex. But you? You reminded him so much of her, he damn near started a war to get your ungrateful ass.”
“Ungrateful,” Lilly growls, lunging for Emily through the bars. Emily laughs out as she takes a step back out of reach.
Pulling Lilly to my side, I ask impatiently, “What did you want to tell me, Emily?”
“Don’t you want to know why I tried to kill you, Gunner?” she coos, twisting what's left of her locks around her finger.
Grinding my teeth, I nod in reply.
“You killed the only man to ever protect me. Caine was coming back for me,” she hisses at me. “For once in my life, I was going to be treated like the queen I am. My son was going to be raised like a king.”
“Venom treated you like a queen, Emily, and you fucked another man. For drugs, if I remember how that all went down.”
“Venom could never offer me the life I deserve,” she says with a snort.
“Caine left you in that compound in Juarez. You would’ve been nothing more than you were here, Tempest, a whore. He didn’t love you,” Lilly tells her.
“Silly little girl. Love is nothing more than a bullshit four-letter word. But you’re right Caine didn’t love me. He protected me. A job he was given by the devil himself. Enterrador may not have wanted me, but Diablo did. He will find our son, and when he does my son will have more power than any of you could ever dream of. You think love will save you then?” she asks as a wicked grin spreads across her face.
“His other children aren’t worthy of what they were given, but my boy will rule them all,” she finishes as she walks backward toward her bed, the grin never leaving her face.
“We have to let G know,” Lilly whispers. “Maybe they can find the boy before he does.”
Grabbing her hand, I escort her down the hallway. Emily's laughter begins as we make it to the stairs, following us out of the basement. This bitch is outright crazy. But if what she says is true, killing her could have us jumping right back into the fire we just dragged ourselves out of. Fuck me.
Epilogue
Lilly
It’s been three months since Enterrador walked out of our lives. Mythic disappeared right along with him. At first, I thought it was all a dream. He had his chance to take me, and he was actually leaving. Then when Emily shot Gunner it turned into a walking nightmare.
No one expected the bomb she dropped on Gunner and me about her son. The task force had no clue Diablo had ever even met Emily. They haven’t had any luck finding her baby boy, but I suspect that man will stop at nothing to keep him hidden.
I miss Mythic every damned day. Snoopy hasn’t been the same since we learned her truth. He’s angry. None of us really know the extent of what their relationship developed into after I brought her to the clubhouse. He won't talk about her at all. And believe me, I’ve tried.
Each time I try usually ends up with me getting dragged out of his lair by Gunner when we end up in a screaming match. I just want to know she’s okay. That she’s still breathing. I don’t think its too much to ask for him to find that out. But for now, I’ll have to live each day not knowing.
Tomorrow, I start the next chapter in my life. I decided to stay close to home, going to work with Doc in our town’s small clinic. I could’ve gone back to Austin, lived my dream of working at Dell Children's Hospital away from club life. But I knew the minute Gunner was shot, I couldn’t live a life without him. So instead, I'll make my life here with him.
We're celebrating today, not just my new job but life getting back to normal. Well, as normal as club life allows anyway. It's just like my graduation BBQ, the Silent Sons and Reapers co-mingling with nothing but family love surrounding us all.
Sitting down at a table next to Gunner, Dash grumbles, “I really don’t see why I couldn’t decorate again.”
Venom reaches over and messes up his shaggy locks. “Because I don’t want to hear Reine bitch about the cleanup again.”
Gunner stands from the spot beside me, clearing his throat. Dash, Venom, and Havoc start drumming on the table getting everyone's attention. “I want to make a toast,” Gunner hollers, looking around the room.
It takes a minute for everyone to get quiet, but when they do, Gunner looks down at me. “Today we celebrate new beginnings. In the spirit of that, Lilly Anna Anderson, I have a question for you.” Kneeling before me, he takes my hands in his, “Baby girl, will you make me the happiest man alive, and do me the honor of becoming my wife?”
The brothers of both clubs hoot and holler as I stare into the eyes of the man I love. Tears flow steadily down my face as I whisper, “Yes.”
He withdraws a ring box from his cut. The ring I see when he opens the lid takes my breath away. The center stone is a diamond, but its encircled by amethyst, ruby, sapphire, emerald, and opal. The birthstones of all who mean the most to me. As soon as he slides the ring on my left hand his lips are on mine. Standing from the ground, he pulls me with him as he swings me around. The cheers of our friends and family make this moment complete.
We spend the evening in celebration. Aside from the ring on my hand, Gunner gives me my first cut. I can't even count how many times my fingers have traced the lettering on my chest. Gunner’s Ol’ Lady. My heart is full.
A year ago if someone had told me this was where Id be today, I would’ve laughed in their faces. Life has a funny way of doing that to you though, doesn’t it?
And just when we think everything’s going to get back to normal and we’ll go on with our lives, God sends a curveball to mix it all up again. This curveball comes in the form of a car racing towards Blue Bells just as the party is winding down.
Everyone stops dancing and chatting, waiting to see who’s coming. The brothers all find their pieces, ready for anything. When the car screeches to a stop, the headlights make it hard to see who’s coming. When they're finally in view I can't help but take a step back. Enterrador is running, carrying something in his arms. And that something is Mythic’s limp body.
“Help her please,” he begs as he collapses to his knees with tears streaming down his face.
Curveballs are a fucking bitch.
The End
A Note from the Author
I’m doing things a little differently this time around. Usually, I thank everyone who's gotten me here and helped me along the way. As always, I wouldn’t be typing the end on another book without my babies, my friends and family, and my indie peeps. My tribe is amazing as is my editor and PA’s. Bloggers! You kick ass.
To my readers, thank you for your patience. It’s taken me a lot longer to get to this point than I expected. Lilly was set to be out mid-summer, but life had different plans, and for that, I am truly sorry. Curveballs, as Lilly said, can be a bitch.
In Lilly, you get a glimpse into a little more about me, though you may not have known it. That sleepy little city Lilly hides in, Flagstaff, is my hometown. It’s the place where I grew up, and it will always have a special place in my heart. If you’re ever in Northern Arizona definitely give it a visit. My favorite time is late September. The leaves on the aspen trees that line the San Francisco Peaks are a gorgeous sight to see.
Hullabaloo is a real festival usually in early June and is an awesome time. It gives you a peek at the amazing talent the artists in the area possess. I love wandering the stalls and window shopping. My kids, well, they like the face painting and food. I do have a soft spot for funnel cakes.
The Country Host is the best breakfast joint around especially after a night out drinking in the woods. Something, I’ll admit, I did a time or two. I have some of my best memories surrounded by friends around a bonfire with absolutely no cell signal and not a care in the world. Breakfast the next morning was always needed and The Country Host was the place to be. As usual, the staff truly makes the place, and I have fond memories of some of the waitress there.

The Boombox Bros is a group that I adore, and if you like underground hip-hop you MUST give them a listen. Ill drop their website at the bottom of the page.
Tahoe is where my best friend, Michelle lives and is one of the most gorgeous cities I’ve ever seen. The sunset across the lake is something that will truly take your breath away.
Thank you for taking a chance on me and the Silent Sons MC. I hope y’all have enjoyed Lilly. I'll get to work on Mythic soon.
Xoxo

Mythic
(Book 4 in the Silent Sons Series)
Mythic
I’ve hidden who I was from the world for so long. Never making friends. Having nothing more than flings or one-night stands. I thought it was the only way to protect myself. If no one knew the real me, who I really was, then I had nothing to worry about.
All of that came crashing down around me when I made saving Lilly my life’s mission. I wouldn’t let the cartel or Enterrador take another person from me.
I didn’t expect to fall for him.
He was only supposed to be a means to an end. Someone who could show Enterrador all he’d been blind to for so many years.
If only I would’ve known the outcome…
Would I have told them who I was?
Probably not, but I would’ve done a hell of a lot better job at guarding my heart.
Now I’m living on borrowed time. Can he look past everything that’s happened between us or will I die never earning his forgiveness?
