It was empty and my heat sensor hadn’t picked up anything. So it had to be. I glanced around, the memories of the other night flounced into my head. I still remembered the staircase where Xavior breezed down.
My body squirmed thinking how he would suddenly appear the same way he did the last time. My eyes swept over the lounge room, where Xavior took me for the first time.
Shame burned me from inside and I felt like ripping off my catsuit. The heat was getting unbearable I thought my heat sensor was going to make a sound soon.
“Are you alright?” asked Vylan. “You look unsettled. If you were worried about what would happen, I assure you we’ll be alright.”
Guilt ripped my heart. Vylan had no idea about all the dirty shit I did with Xavior and Trixter. It would have made me feel better if I cheated on him with somebody else who were not crazy supervillains attempting to kill us.
If he knew, would he still look at me the same way? I shook my head and pretended to be checking on Cecily. I checked the time and tried to focus on what we were supposed to be doing. “We have seven minutes left. Did you get it?”
“Yes,” said Cecily with a smile, not even turning to look at me. “The bomb must be hidden somewhere under the floor. Doesn’t matter. I am already in it. Now I just need to–“
“Oh hello there,” a familiar voice echoed in the lounge room. All heads turned to the staircase where Xavior smiled to the three of us wickedly. “Look what we’ve got here.”
My muscles tensed as I got into my fighting pose. Vylan stood next to me, his shoulders squared. Cecily took my other side and slipped her laptop behind her back.
“I haven’t finished yet,” she mouthed.
I nodded in acknowledgment. Xavior was alone. That meant Trixter could be appearing out of nowhere at any time. Who knew what was in his psycho mind? Could this be a setup? Were they already expecting us?
I couldn’t read Xavior’s expression. He always wore this collected look in his face it was hard to predict what would be his next move.
“You never fail to impress me, Mysterious Kitty. To be fair, you have nine lives so I shouldn’t really be surprised that you lived,” said Xavior in his familiar arrogant tone.
I had completely purged out my feelings for him at that stage. When I saw his cocky blue face, all I felt for him was nothing but pure hatred and disgust. The kind of feeling you had for some lowly species.
I flicked on my heat sensor, wondering why it wasn’t working. It was working before. I made a mental note not to buy bargain deals from Superhero Co. anymore.
Xavior glanced at Cecily who glared back at him. “Ah, I see you brought a friend too. Did you love what Trixter and I did to you so much?” A smirk quirked up his lewd lips.
I clenched my fists tightly when Vylan whispered to me, “What is he talking about?”
“Why don’t you introduce me to your little boyfriend and tell him about us?”
“Shut the fuck up, Xavior!” My mind was focused on predicting how much time we had left. If the spaceship shot up to space before we hopped off, it’s over for us. “I have nothing to do with you. You are nothing but a disgusting alien.”
Xavior grinned sheepishly to himself as he made to the lounge room, sat on the leather lounge, and poured himself a glass of wine. The familiar action that I knew too well and hated so much.
“I might be a disgusting alien. But you love my dick being inside you, don’t you?”
Vylan’s face turned red when his gaze darted between me and Xavior in turn. “What the fuck happened?”
“I fucked your whore of a girlfriend. Heck, I have fucked her even before you met her. She’s got the best pussy in the universe, that I gotta admit,” said Xavior wryly. “I bet you can’t satisfy that insatiable juicy pussy with your small human dick!”
“Fuck you, Xavior!” I shouted and realized immediately how ironic it sounded. With a somersault, I landed in front of Xavior and punched him in the fucking nose. Blood burst and sprayed all over my face and onto the fluffy gray rug.
The wine glass slipped from his grip and shattered on the floor. Xavior’s hand snapped to cover his nose as he bent over in pain.
“Ouch, you fucking bitch. How dare you hit my fucking face?” he snarled over his hand.
I peeked at my phone and turned to shout to Cecily, “Four minutes! Get done with what you’re doing!”
Cecily nodded and started working on the laptop again when Trixter suddenly materialized on top of the staircase and jumped over onto the ground floor. He landed with a loud thump. His eyes flashed with murder as he looked up and lurched towards Cecily.
Vylan was quicker, shoving Cecily out of the way and grabbed Trixter on the collar. Trixter wasn’t giving up. He started punching Vylan as Vylan dodged to his left and right.
Cecily pulled herself up, grabbed the laptop, and went to crouch in a corner to continue working.
“Mysterious Kitty, how many times have I told you to stay out of my business?” snarled Xavior. He stood up. With his bloodied nose, I could hardly be serious.
“Sorry can’t do. This is my business!”
Xavior grunted and drove his punches at me. I blocked his attack with my arms and returned the attack. All hell broke loose as punches fired in all directions.
“Guys!” Cecily called out, “We need to get outta here right now!”
Urgency made my stomach clench. Xavior was not stopping, lunging at me with his powerful punches. A lewd smile curved his mouth. “Maybe you should stay onboard and come home with me. I can fuck you all day all night. Your little friend can join in too if she wants to.”
My teeth gritted, I balled my fist to punch him in the nose again when Cecily jumped behind him and slammed the closed laptop on his head.
Xavior’s eyes rolled back into his skull and he collapsed onto the floor with a loud thump. I was gasping for all my life was worth.
“What the fuck happened?” asked Vylan, who suddenly took my side. I glanced behind him where Trixter was knocked unconscious on the floor. His limbs sticking out in awkward directions. Not a very pretty sight.
“I’m sorry I cheated on you. Well, I didn’t. It was complex. I was sort of in an open relationship with Xavior when I met you. I thought he was the one for me–“
“Not now, Kat!” said Cecily. “We have thirty seconds before the spaceship launches. We need to run right now!”
Adrenaline catapulted my feet towards the hallway where we came in from. Vylan and Cecily followed close behind me. The door was locked and it didn’t budge when I pulled it.
“Fuck, it’s auto-locked. We need to unlock it again,” I said, half-gasping.
I groped in my catsuit for the hacker device. Sweat dotted my face. Urgency sizzled through my veins when my phone started beeping.
“We have fifteen seconds!” said Cecily.
The floor began to tremor. My fingers were shaking when I held the device near the scanner. Every second stretched to eternity while I waited for the device to work.
“Hurry up,” I mouthed to myself.
The ground began to quake and we staggered back. Vylan and Cecily held onto the walls for support and Vylan held onto me. “I’ve got your back.”
“I’m so sorry, Vylan,” I said, tears stinging my eyes. “If I don’t say it now, maybe I will have no time. I fucking love you so much. I was confused back then, but now my mind is crystal clear. You are all I want and everything I could ask for.”
The hacker device beeped and the door popped open. A screen of smoke filled our eyes and heat scalded our skin.
“Jump!” shouted Vylan.
I did as told. My heart stopped as I jumped, launching myself out of the hallway. All I saw was smoky blurriness until the side of my body thumped hard against the concrete.
I coughed and crawled as fast as my lethargic knees could carry me far from the source of heat. A loud boom roared behind me and the spaceship disappeared into
thin air along with Xavior and Trixter.
“Vylan? Cecily?” I screamed into the smoke screen. My heart continued to pump furiously as fear trickled into my system.
When I saw their shadowy silhouette in the diminishing smoke, I smiled to myself. “Oh gosh, thank goodness, we are fucking safe now!”
Vylan spluttered as he pulled himself up. He went to help Cecily and they both came to help me up. “Did you get the bomb?” I asked Cecily hopefully.
Cecily only managed to nod, but that was a satisfying enough answer for me. Overwhelmed, I threw my arms around her neck. “You are my best friend ever!”
“I set the bomb to detonate ten minutes later. They should be out of the danger zone then, I hope,” gasped Cecily.
I looked at Vylan. I parted my mouth to say something when he raised one finger to stop me.
“No, Kat. Please don’t apologize. The fault is mine. This shit we did is professional. I shouldn’t have humiliated you like that. And I don’t care what you did with Xavior in the past. I was only concerned if they hurt you. What matters now is that you and I are together. We survived this shit,” said Vylan.
Happiness burst inside me. My pussy throbbed with desire as I grabbed Vylan into my embrace and squeezed him as tightly as I could, not wanting to let go. My panties were hot and damp and I was sure as hell it wasn’t the sweat from the heat.
Cecily rolled her eyes and said, “Alright, I’ll leave you two lovebirds. Now I gotta come up with a cover story to tell my husband.”
I pulled away slightly from Vylan and said to Cecily, “Why do you need a cover story? You’ve done a great job. The newspaper will have a story for you.”
“Yeah, but I told him I was only gonna have tea with my friends.” Cecily rolled her eyes again. “There he’s calling again. I got like eighty missed calls.” She put her phone to her ear and walked away.
Vylan’s eyes and mine interlocked in a gaze. My hand slipped up to his face and removed his mask, revealing his true handsome face.
“Breaking the vigilante code?” Vylan said with a playful smirk.
“I’m willing to break the rule for you,” I said. My gaze lingered on his face, studying his features closely. His eyes looked safe and trustable. His aquiline nose was sharp but not pointed.
His facial features were soft and exuded safety and nobility, unlike Xavior’s that spelled arrogance and wickedness. They were two totally different people after all. To be exact, two different species.
My body squirmed as Vylan’s chest touched mine while he breathed. I felt safe in his arms, where my senses could be alive again.
A smirk quirked up my lips and a naughty thought entered my mind. “Wanna fuck?”

Two decades ago, ninety-two countries pronounced bankruptcy and were auctioned off to the richer, first world countries. You thought that would be the way to world peace, huh?
You were right. Towards the end of 2010, there was only one country left, the United Anova. The previous leaders of the old nations were made cabinet ministers. You thought this was the beginning of the new utopian era? You wish.
Just as you think there is no way humans could fuck up this planet anymore, Earth reached a new low. Earth was now pronounced bankruptcy by the Creamy Way Intergalactic Finance Council for owing them a staggering amount of 7 Million Creds.
“What the fuck? What did they even do with the money?” I muttered to myself. As a result of this overwhelming debt, half of Earth’s hand now belonged to the space residents called Idrereans.
The Idrereans were considered the elite species, so they never set foot on Earth, which they deemed too polluted for their liking. These lands were bought as their waste dumping sites.
I turned off the TV and shook my head, trying to digest what I learned. That was when my housemate, Ayesha dragged her ass out of her room in her blue pajamas and slippers. She yawned and plopped on the sofa next to me.
“Morn.”
“Morn.”
Ayesha and I shared an apartment unit at Corn City, near the University of Corn City where we studied Physiology.
“What’s on news?” Ayesha scratched her boobs through the thin fabric of her pajamas and clawed a handful of cereals from my bowl. She was not wearing a bra and her tits prodded through the pajamas. Who was I to judge? I wasn’t wearing one too.
Her pixie hair stuck out in all directions. She munched the cereals and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She was blessed with a tanned skin that could hide her dark circles.
“Nothing new. Something about our planet owing a whole lot of money to the intergalactic bank. Ain’t that some shit?” I snarled.
I was in my pink pajamas too, my long brown hair was undone. You wouldn’t see the difference even if I combed it anyway. My naturally wavy hair was a bitch.
Unlike Ayesha, I had pale skin that made me look like I hadn’t slept for centuries.
“It’s 2020. You can’t turn on the TV and expect no crazy shit on the news.” Ayesha snorted. “What do they even do with that much of money? Like we ain’t gonna build space hotels and shit. At this age and time, no one is going to be able to afford it.”
“Even if they did, it’s not for you. It’s for some billionaire overlords.”
“Maybe for residents from planets with higher currency exchange rates.”
I nodded mindlessly. I scrolled through my social media profile timeline and liked a couple of photos. “You going for the practical class?”
“Nah, ain’t gonna massage some dude’s ass. They are announcing the chosen candidates for the Intergalactic Service. I really want to get picked.” She pouted and scrolled on her phone. “Though I don’t get why they were choosing all these hot girls instead of people with real talents.”
“You are hot, Ayesha.” I stalked her online photos all the times. She looked like a snack and most of her photos she was in revealing low-cut clothes. “Talents or not, the pretty ones will always stand out. Like how the pretty girls are always getting on the dean’s list!”
Ayesha shot me a knowing look. Everybody knew the scandal going around in the Physiology Faculty of UCC. Our dean was a forty-
year-old married man but damn, he was dark and gorgeous and had a bad boy aura about him. All the girls were swooned by him.
“Trust me. The dean’s list is not the only thing they get on. I am sure they jump on his dick too!”
We burst into laughter.
“But nah, I am not going to the practical class. I am going to stay home and check on the news.”
“You could check it on your phone!”
She gave me an agonized look.
