Shared Reverse Harem Bundle 1 Page 51

I tore my gaze from her pretty face and turned on my heels, knowing damn well I would regret this later.

  “Wait!”

I stopped and turned back. Her emerald eyes pierced into mine, sending sparks of lust through me. I clenched my fists and fought to relax.

“I will see you again, right?”

My heart leaped in delight. She wanted to see me again. Guilt stabbed me. If her kingdom went down, I was not sure if she would see me ever again. I smirked. “Maybe.”

I turned around and slipped through the door. My head was spinning from what just happened. The taste of her lips still lingered on my mouth like a curse.

I did not even know who she was but I presumed she was a princess. She seemed to have thought I was someone else. When the advancing footsteps coming from the other end of the hallway was getting closer, I bolted in the opposite direction and turned around the corner.

When the delicious scent of the virgin faded away, my senses came back to me. I shook my head to purge away the intrusive thoughts and focused on the reason why I was here.

“I need to find the king,” I told myself. Suddenly, a wave of grief washed over me. What if the virgin was the king’s daughter? I could not do this to her…I could not…

But what about Iyel? I had promised my brothers to avenge the youngest.

No, I could not let my brothers down.

I could not betray my own species for my own whims. I had to fight for the justice of my kind.

I blinked quickly and purged away the mental pictures of the virgin out of my head. She was off-limits. She was the enemy’s daughter. I could not touch her. I could not…

Now, where were all my brothers gone?

I followed down the hallway and found myself standing in front of a massive two-story high double door made of crystal. I almost jumped a foot in the air when they suddenly barged open. I dropped into a crouch behind a column.

A tall and dark male marched out. He flapped the long drape behind him, the golden embroidery caught the sunlight and reflected in a colorful glow. He had slick black hair and matching manicure brows and beard. His eyes were green like the virgin’s but flashed with a dangerous gleam. He must be of high rank as well. Probably a prince. But surely not the king himself.

The King seldom showed up. But I had seen him once or twice and had his face etched on the back of my head. The king had taken away too many things from our kind for me to forget his face.

Behind him was a team of five men in matching purple tunic and black pants.

I cowered back when three more males–I thought they were servants too as they were wearing the same white tunic kind of uniform–rushed in through the door. Someone shouted from inside, “The king is injured! Don’t let him get away!”

Two of the servants rushed out when the purple-clad people turned around and shot them with some sort of laser guns. A column of red shaft pierced through the men and in the next second, they vanished into thin air.

“Holy shit!” I almost keeled over in my hiding place. I could not believe my eyes. I thought I was hallucinating the moment I saw the virgin.

The man in the golden drape sniggered. “No one fucks with Prince Zaul! Now, where is the princess?”

My nerves rose within me. I had no idea what came over me. My thoughts went to the virgin immediately. My senses were telling me that she must be the princess.

I had no idea why I cared. The King was dead. She was the enemy’s daughter. Why did I bother to rescue her?

Urgency catapulted my feet off the ground and I found myself running down the hallway back to where I had come from. I could not be bothered if someone saw me right now.

I would not hesitate to kill anyone who came in my way. The beating of the wind was loud in my ears, punctuated by the pounding of my heart. I had no idea why I was so scared for the virgin but I was.

My thought was with the virgin princess.

  My virgin princess.

  Lilith

I fought with the remaining energy within me to get back on my feet. My legs were still shaking from the explosive orgasm. Damn, that was so good but it had to be short-lived by the siren. I made to the dresser and put on my bathrobe when there was a peal of urgent knocks on the door.

“Princess Lilith!” shouted Karyn’s muffled voice from the other side of the door. The urgency in her voice made my blood freeze in my veins. My head was pounding from the siren, wondering what was happening.

I rushed to open the door while my sticky cum still dribbled between my legs, making my thighs sticky. I stopped at the door and sniffed the air. Thinking my room was smelling a little bit musty, I grabbed a bottle of perfume and sprayed in the air.

My hand was reaching for the doorknob when the door barged open, almost knocking right into my face.

A brief look of relief flickered on Karyn’s face when she saw her. “Princess Lilith, we must go!”

My voice was still ragged. “Go? Where?” I cleared my throat.

Karyn was too anxious to notice that. “We are under attack!”

My eyes sprang open. “What? It was not a drill?” I cried out.

“No! I must get you to safety!” Before I figured out what happened, Karyn grabbed me by the arm and started pulling me down the hallway. My jelly legs ached in protest. I almost keeled over before I picked up.

My breath was knocked out of my lungs. “Wait! Please…! I can’t catch up!” I muttered.

“They are coming after us! We have to run, my liege!” Karyn glanced nervously in all directions. Karyn pulled up abruptly at the corner and made sure the coasts were clear before proceeding.

My head was spinning with confusion. It did not help that the pounding siren was hammering my head. The pain was getting so immense I grabbed hold of Karyn’s hand and stopped her.

“Stop, Karyn, please!” I bent over to catch my breath. My hand massaged my pounding temple. “What is going on? Where is my father?”

There was a brief silence from Karyn. All I heard was our breathing punctuating the dead silence of the hallway. Something was not right. Something really, really bad. When I looked up and my eyes were met with Karyn’s face, all my doubts were clarified.

Her glassy eyes looked pink, her face exuded disappointment and sorrow. Her voice cracked when she said, “He is dead. I am sorry…Princess Lilith.”

All the blood drained from my face. “What the fuck?” I stood rooted to the ground, motionless with horror at the news I heard. My head spun harder and I was losing my mind.

“Oh my god…” I muttered to myself, wishing all of these were nothing but a nightmare.

“I am so sorry, Princess Lilith!” Karyn wrapped her arms around me and patted my back. Hot tears rolled uncontrollably down my face as I started to sob. “I can’t believe that good-looking bastard Prince Zaul would do such a thing!”

My jaw dropped to the floor when my eyes sprang open at Karyn. “What?” I mouthed. “What does this have to do with Prince Zaul?” I could not think straight anymore.

Karyn’s lips pressed into a thin grim line. She looked away, unable to meet my eyes. “He killed your father, my liege.”

A chill ran down my spine. I could not believe this. The hot stranger who made my blood sizzle through my veins, whom I lost my first kiss and almost my virginity to, had killed my father. I could not believe that I even masturbated to my father’s killer! Probably at the same time when he assassinated my father!

Hot blood rushed to my face, a mix of hatred and shame. “How could he?” My heart was shattered into a million pieces. What had I done to deserve this? Never before I bat my eyes on a man before but now I met one who made me want to give myself to him and he turned out to be my father’s assassin?

The whole world was collapsing upon me. I could not stop crying.

“Princess Lilith, we must leave right now…” Karyn glanced around, her voice dripped with urgency.<

My gut feelings were telling me to run but my body felt heavy. I just wanted to sit in a corner and wallow in my own sadness.

“You go, Karyn.” I gazed into space and tried to take in what just happened. Too many things happened in a short period of time. Too much for me to handle. My heart had just been ripped from my body.

For once, I thought I had everything in the world. I thought this would be the beginning of a new life. A new romance. A new hope.

But then, suddenly, everything had been taken away from me. I did not even get to say goodbye to my father when he died.

  “I cannot do this anymore…” I sighed.

“Please, my liege. It is my duty to protect you,” pled Karyn. She would not leave without me.

“You don’t have to do this anymore, Karyn–” I heard shouts coming from behind me. A brief look of shock flitted across Karyn’s face. Before I knew what happened, Karyn grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me behind her.

I keeled forward and collapsed onto the ground. My knees scraped across the rough surface of the brick floor. “Ouch!” I groaned, the pain stung me.

I heard advancing footsteps coming from the other side of the hallway. My nerves rose in me. Karyn put on a straight face. I knew she was trying to protect me from whoever the people were. Panic engulfed me, urgency catapulted me off the ground.

I flattened myself behind the column when the footsteps gained closer. “You! Stop right there!” A male’s voice shouted. He did not sound friendly or happy.

  “Where is Lilith?” He demanded.

I peeked from my cover and saw five men towering over Karyn. I would have been all giddy if the tall and hunky men surrounded me like that. But I guessed Karyn’s coolness came from practice.

The five men looked like guardsmen but I could not recognize the uniforms. My guess was these men had been Prince Zaul’s guardsmen.

I clenched my fists as I glared at them. Guilt gnawed at my conscience. If I had listened to Karyn and kept running, we would not have stumbled upon these people.

“I have no idea, sir,” said Karyn calmly.

The man who was the leader of the troop smirked and leaned closer. Karyn did not move a muscle. He suddenly grabbed onto Karyn’s face and forced his mouth onto her. My eyes widened. A haze of fear bounced around me. I wanted to get out of cover and help, but my feet were rooted to the ground.

A growl escaped from Karyn. She whipped out a blade from her waist and stabbed the man in the stomach.

“Argh!” the man growled and pulled away, clutching onto his tummy. The other men pulled out their guns and charged at Karyn.

My heart almost popped. They were about to shoot at Karyn when the leader raised his hand. “Wait!” He gritted his teeth and checked his wound. His hand was slick with blood and a dark spot blossomed on his uniform.

The leader shot a lewd smirk at Karyn, his eyes flashed with a murderous gleam. A sick feeling grew in the pit of my stomach. I cringed as frightening thoughts raced through my mind.

What they were going to do with Karyn?

I was about to get out of cover when the guardsmen leader’s disgusting laugh boomed in the hallway. “I like this bitch! This one got the attitude!” His deep-set eyes spat fire when he glared at Karyn, who was still cool as a cucumber. “Seize her! We shall decide what punishment she should receive!”

The other men had the same lecherous look on their faces when the two of them grabbed each of Karyn’s arms and started marching her down the hallway where we came from.

I propped my back against the wall. With my hand over my mouth, I wept silently.

“I am sorry, Karyn…I am sorry. I should have listened to you…”

Tears poured uncontrollably down my cheeks. What could I do now? My father was assassinated. Now, my chaperon was being captured as well. The last sliver of my hope of surviving was gone.

For the first time in my life, I felt so helpless and weak.

Who would have thought to be in the royal family, as a princess, with such a high status, your power could be ripped from you so easily? Now I was nothing. Nothing but an orphan, a nobody.

My thoughts went to the Forest of the Wolves. There was where I used to go whenever I had a problem. There was one place I could find peace within myself. Coming to think of it, none of the problems I had had was as serious as this one.

Since mother was gone, it seemed like her soul lived there and I could always find a home in the woods…

Adrenaline fueled my system. I started running down the hallway. Wind beat in my ears.

My surroundings blurred around me. I did not want to think about anything. I just ran and ran…and ran…hopefully, I could run away from the crippling reality as well…

  Ender

The hairs on my back bristled like needles. A wave of fear raced through my mind, catapulting my feet faster through the hallway. The mental images of the gory incidents that happened seconds ago flounced in my head like a nightmare that would not go away.

I had no idea what happened to me. I was like I had been possessed. I urgently sniffed in the air to trace the scent of the virgin but it was of no avail. It fueled my urgency even more.

I remembered this had been the hallway where I met her. To be fair, all the hallways looked the same. I was not even sure anymore. My instincts were asking me to run. To escape from the palace while I could.

I could not. I could not leave the palace knowing that the virgin princess would be in trouble. Prince Zaul had killed the king. The princess would be next!

My heart pounded in my chest following the rhythm of the siren that was soon punctuated by throngs of stampeding footsteps and helpless cries. My stomach reeled thinking someone would spot me.

Few maidservants were rushing down the hallways. They glanced at me and bolted for their dear lives. No one seemed to be questioning who was I or what I was doing there.

“Princess!” I started shouting above the constant drone of cacophony. I did not care anymore. I started barging in through the door. Empty rooms greeted me.

One of the doors down the hallway was slightly ajar. That was the one. A smile peeked up my face. My heart leaped with excitement as I sped up into the room.

“Princess–” Blood drained from my face when my eyes were met with the interior of the room.

This was where I first saw my princess. The scent of the virgin was getting stronger, making my cock stir with excitement. Heat sizzled through my blood. My muscles tensed with need.

My body tensed up when I was met eye to eye with four of Prince Zaul’s guardsmen. The four of them turned around in harmony, their coattails blustered dramatically in the air. If their uniforms were not obvious enough, their cocky attitudes would have told they were related to the asshole Zaul.

It disgusted me that my virgin princess thought that I was Zaul.

“Well, well, what are you, a lowly werewolf, doing here?” one of them stood forward. He sniggered to his colleagues. “I thought they were extinct.” The others groped for their guns in the holsters.

I glanced around the room. Surely I could smell the virgin princess here. I could smell…that she had been playing with herself too. The thought of the innocent little virgin playing with herself made my cock splinter with need.

I would not blame her. She was so fucking wet when I met her. She wanted it so much. I would have given it to her if I had more time.

The virgin princess was nowhere to be found in the room, adding to my anxiety.

“Hey, you!” shouted the guardsman again. He looked so fucking cocky I could punch him right now. My glance fell on the guns on their holsters. I had witnessed with my eyes what they could do. I had seen what they did to the Kayaean King’s guardsmen and I did not want to tempt my fate.

“You are looking for the princess, aren’t you?” He studied me up and down, a look of disgust on his face. “You are too late, I am afraid.”

“Where is the princess?” I growled.

The guardsman smirked at me as if I was stupid. “You don’t understand human language, do you? I said she is gone!”

I got into a fighting stance. My eyes darted between the four men, seeking for signs of deceit. Where would the princess be gone? I could not bear to imagine losing her to the cocky bastard Prince Zaul!

If that was the case, I would fight him for stealing my girl!

“Now, are you going to drop on your knees or do we have to make you?” growled the guardsman, his voice dripping with anger.
