In addition, Dr. Haruki Kato, a student of Master Jiro Murai, teaches Jin Shin Jyutsu to medical professionals in Japan.

Before the five-day seminar, is a basic foundational class of Jin Shin Jyutsu offered?

Many practitioners offer self-help Jin Shin Jyutsu classes that present the basic principles, based on Mary Burmeister’s three introductory-level books.

  Who teaches these classes?

Students who have completed three five-day seminars are qualified to attend the Instructor Training in Self-Help (IT IS) seminar. The IT IS seminar prepares interested students to conduct the self-help classes. A certificate of attendance is issued upon completion of the IT IS training. The instructors for the IT IS training are:

  Sara Harper

  Iole Lebensztajn

  Brigitta Meinhardt

  Janet Oliver

  Phyllis Singer

Is it possible to get CEU credits by studying Jin Shin Jyutsu?

Continuing education credits are offered by EDUCARE, provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, number 07359. Thirty contact hours are given for the basic seminar. Many other states recognize California CEUs. Can one become a licensed Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner?

No, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Inc., offers no formal license to practitioners. But a practitioner-level certificate is issued upon completion of three five-day seminars. At this point, the student has gained a basic understanding of Jin Shin Jyutsu and may embark upon a lifelong practice of the Art. As a general guideline, it is not recommended that students complete the three five-day seminars in less than eighteen months. Where are Jin Shin Jyutsu seminars taught?

Currently, they are taught in almost half of the states in the United States, with the heaviest concentration of classes in the Arizona, California, Colorado, and New York areas. Jin Shin Jyutsu seminars are also offered in Brazil, Western Europe, and Canada.
