Her Bad Cat (Marked by the Moon Book 5) - Paranormal Black Panther Shifter Romance Page 15

by Kamryn Hart

“Yeah, that’s pretty fucking irresponsible,” he agreed as he went for her underwear and hastily shoved it off of her as he worked around her dominant position.

“I’m not even on the pill,” Emily said, assisting him in removing the one article of clothing that separated their bodies. When she eased back down onto his hard abs, she had to close her eyes at the sensation of her sensitive flesh pressing against his warm skin. She made a little rubbing motion, taking the pleasure a fraction higher. “It’s definitely irresponsible. Then again, I want you to put a baby inside of me.”

“You’re really nonchalant about this,” he noted.

“We’ve been through hell and back. We can handle a baby.”

  “Even a baby panther?”

  “Especially a baby panther.”

Emily settled comfortably onto his stomach and bent down to kiss him. He ran his hand over her body at the same time. At first, he used the pads of his fingers. Then he introduced his claws. He wasn’t cutting skin yet, but he would before this was through. That was a big reason why he had insisted on her healing up first. Emily didn’t mind it so much, and Ethan never gave her deep cuts. It was a reflex he couldn’t really control when they got down to it like this.

He told her that he and Mason came out bloodied after sex more than once. Their animals didn’t know how to have sweet sex, was what he said. Emily wondered about that. She was pretty sure he could learn how to have sweet sex. But she was also sure he would have never learned that from Mason. If anything, Mason probably made him worse. She smiled at the thought of Mason and his constant need to fight.

She noticed Ethan’s scratching was less intense this time around already. Maybe it was because Ethan had already dug into her waist last time they had sex. That did leave a scar, little punctures on her skin, but apparently it was all part of him marking her as his. Maybe his black panther didn’t feel the need to cut her that deep ever again since he left his mark. Hell, she didn’t know. She just knew she loved him and Mason, crazed animals and all.

  “Dominant woman,” Ethan growled.

“Whatever you want me to be,” she whispered into his ear and then bit at his skin. “Unlike Mason, I’m adaptable.”

“Fuck,” Ethan breathed. “Fast and hard.”

  “Fast and hard,” she agreed.

She lifted off of him so she could grab his swollen cock. She took a quick moment to feel him up in her hands, and then she positioned herself on top of him and eased herself down on him. He was huge, but he filled her up fairly painlessly since her body was so ready for him.

“So wet for me all the fucking time,” Ethan growled. His hands were on her hips, claws barely digging into her skin.

Emily moved, hard and fast. She didn’t want to wait and neither did Ethan. He never left her body because she stayed close, so close, touching as much of his skin as possible as the tension between them ramped up higher during each passing second. She pleaded his name as she kept up her frantic movements. Each time she came down hard on him, he hit her just right. She gasped when she came. Ethan came a split second later, filling her up with his seed, hot and wet. She felt something on her neck, a whispered kiss. Mason. Mason had never kissed her before, but she knew this feeling was him, his lips. She just knew.

She gasped and her chest shuddered in time with Ethan’s. The Lunas Sigil on the right side of her chest warmed up, reassuring. It was always solidifying their bond: hers, Ethan’s, and Mason’s. If she had ever questioned it, this feeling would have chased away those doubts. But it would never have to because she never doubted any of this before she even had the mark.

Emily’s eyelids grew heavy as she sunk down onto Ethan’s chest. He ran his hands down her back, and she closed her eyes.

“You were definitely wrong about that being energizing,” she murmured. “You sapped every bit of my energy. Now I’m going to fall asleep on you.”

He kneaded her plump ass. The action was getting her hot again. He was still buried deep inside of her, and she found herself moving again. “Can you go again?” she wondered. He seemed pretty spent. She thought she was.

“If you give me a minute,” he replied with a smirk.

“Sexy, sexy cat,” she cooed and tapped his nose with her finger.

An angry vibration and a girl pop song blared from Ethan’s phone sitting on the nightstand. Emily knew that ring tone belonged to Bruiser. Ethan claimed Bruiser loved this song, but Emily knew better than to believe that. However, she did think of it as Bruiser’s theme song now.

“Fucking Bruiser,” Ethan muttered. “Biggest cock blocker there is.”

Emily stifled a laugh as she moved off of Ethan so he wouldn’t be distracted. Bruiser was likely calling about something important. He hadn’t made a call to be social yet. It was always work and an information exchange with him.

Ethan grabbed Emily before she could get off the bed and make a grab for her clothes. She gave in and lay down beside him, resting her head on his chest.

Ethan answered the phone, put it on speaker, and said, “This better be good. I was in the middle of fantastic sex with my mate.”

“Good for you,” Bruiser said easily. Emily doubted anything Ethan said took the grizzly bear shifter by surprise.

Ethan placed his hand on the small of Emily’s back and rubbed small circles into her skin. It made her eyes flutter and she let out the tiniest moan. She had every intention of keeping it inside, but Ethan’s fingers felt too good.

“Hear that?” Ethan asked. Emily hit him playfully. He did that on purpose. Was he trying to make Bruiser so uncomfortable he’d hang up and call back later?

“Keep it to yourselves. Fuck, Ethan. Everything has gone to hell.”

“What do you mean? And don’t call me Ethan. It’s weird when you do.”

“That stunt Cedric pulled like a month and a half ago has come back to bite us in the ass.”

Ethan held Emily tighter, and she brushed her fingers across his Lunas Sigil to soothe him. “What do you mean?” he asked. “I took care of that. They didn’t have anything on us. They weren’t broadcasting. It was as clean as clean gets.”

“There was an amateur reporter there who apparently whipped out her cell phone and recorded Cedric shifting.”

“I checked everything. Phones included. You know how thorough I am!”

“She wiped it, Rogue. She wiped it before you got to them. She knew this was big and hid it from everyone. No one realized she was recording at the time because of all the chaos. She hurried and took the video off her phone and uploaded it to the cloud on private before you got to them, so it doesn’t sound like anyone has seen it.”

“I checked all her accounts too. All of theirs.”

“She outsmarted you and whoever was working with you to hack into accounts.”

“I didn’t have to hack because everyone gave up their information willingly. They were scared shitless. And I double checked everything. No one was hiding anything.”

“She made a new account using her boyfriend’s information. Like I said, she was quick and thorough. You couldn’t have known. Nothing traceable led back to her.”

“Her boyfriend might know about this, but other than that, you said the video is private. So how the fuck did you find out about this if the video is still under wraps? And what’s this chick’s name again?”

“Haley Buchanan. I know because she practically walked up to Trinity’s door and announced it.”

“How do you know she isn’t bluffing?”

“She sent a copy of the video to Hudson Barnes.”

“The silverback gorilla shifter? He used to live in Kansas City, didn’t he?”

“He did, but he moved when Trinity thought he’d be more help in Georgia. She tracked down his old address, found his new one, and sent him this fucking package with a physical copy of the video as well as a note. I don’t know what kind of digging she did to learn he was related to you and therefore Trinity, but she did. Obvious
ly, he contacted Trinity with this right away.”

“What’s her angle?” Emily asked. “What did the note say?

“She wants to talk to, in her words, ‘the big guns, the ones in charge,’ the Celestial Alphas.”

“Whoa,” Ethan said, at a loss for words. That was a rare occasion for him.

“Are they going to meet with her?” Emily asked.

“Yes… They feel it’s important to get her on our side. I guess they think her stubborn and fearless attitude is endearing. They want to find a way to use this, and her, to their advantage.”

“She sounds like the type who will keep that video around forever to get all kinds of leverage,” Ethan commented.

“The Celestial Alphas aren’t pushovers. It won’t come to that.”

“Yeah, but if that video goes public, it’s really gonna suck balls. Unless we can convince people it’s all special effects. Let’s face it, humans don’t want to believe shifters exist. They’re happier sticking to what they know. Those reporters proved it.”

“You’re way too optimistic about this. Maybe what you said is true for complacent reporters like the ones you took care of, but Haley Buchanan is just starting out. She has that inquisitive mind and fiery drive that makes her ruthless. Whether what drives her is outing the truth or just the excitement of getting credited with the biggest story probably ever, I don’t know. I just know she’s already a pain in my ass, and I want nothing to do with this.”

“Why are you talking like this, man? You seem really put out, like this is affecting you on a personal level,” Ethan commented.

“They’re sending me to fetch the spitfire. I’m supposed to be her damn bodyguard or something, like Trinity expects trouble, but really, it’s glorified babysitting to make sure she doesn’t do anything dumb,” Bruiser growled. “This is not the kind of shit I do.”

Ethan spit out a laugh. Then he was full-on rolling with laughter, and Emily had to stop him from falling off the bed.

“Revenge,” Ethan said as he tried to squeeze in a few breaths between laughing. “This is what you get for sending me out here to teach an Alpha and his mate how to use Lunas.”

“I might be asking you for a favor here real soon,” Bruiser said, ignoring Ethan’s outburst.

“You’ve got mine and Ethan’s help anytime,” Emily replied. “You saved us. And I’m a shifter advocate. I’m madly in love with a couple of them. Like hell am I going to let the world get in the way of that. If you need a couple of humans to talk some sense into this girl, Karol would probably be willing too.”

Bruiser chuckled. “I’m glad you’re on our side, Emily.

Ethan grinned at her and hugged her into his chest with one arm. “Me too,” he said. “We gotta stick together, right? That’s what families do.”

“I’m included in this, huh?” Bruiser commented.

“Always were, man, since the day you fucking changed my life forever.”

“To family then,” Emily said, giving Ethan a quick kiss. “And loved ones who never really leave us. We’ll take on the world together.”
