He runs both hands up my back and pulls me closer. “Sweet girl, do not worry about money, okay? If you need something, it will be provided. If you want something, I’ll do my best to make sure you have it too. I love having you here. I’ve never been so happy in my life. What we have feels right on a level I’ve never experienced before. I’m not worried about the small details. We’ll work everything out as we go along.”

“So you won’t be mad if I decide to do things outside of the house and divide my time?”

“Not at all. If you had asked me two weeks ago if I wanted a full-time little who was fully dependent on me, I would have said yes, that is my dream woman, but then I met this wonderful woman with big blue eyes, gorgeous long hair, and a body to die for. She twisted me around her little finger and made me realize that I love her so much that I’d give her the moon.”

My heart is racing as I smile at him.

“There’s something you need to understand about submission, sweetie. I may make all the rules and enforce a strict environment, but you hold the power. You have the right to deny me at any time. My preference, for now, is for you to live as my little every moment you’re in the house. Live by my rules and boundaries. Do as you’re told without question. I want you to do this because I think you’ll find it suits you. If it doesn’t, we renegotiate. We’ll set aside a specific time each week when we come together as equals and touch base to make sure both our needs are being met. Air out any concerns. Sunday mornings perhaps. It’s Sunday morning now, so this is a perfect day to start.”

I can’t help smiling broader. “I like that plan.”

“Good. Do you have any other concerns for this morning?”

“Can I go back to the shelter starting tomorrow?”

“Yep. I’ll arrange for your car to be brought here this afternoon, though I must say it’s not in very good shape, so we might need to look into trading it in soon.”

I draw in a breath. “I’m not comfortable with that yet. Not just because of what you told me about Collette. You know I’ve never been comfortable with you spending money on me. It’s going to take me a while to relax on that issue.”

He nods. “Then I’ll get your car tuned up one day this week and you’ll drive it until it dies.” He has an answer for everything. “What else?”

I chew on my bottom lip. “I can’t think of anything right now. It’s a lot.”

His hands come down to my butt. “Then I say starting now, we officially begin the new week. You’ll be my little girl when you’re home. You’ll wear what I set out for you in the house. When you leave for work, you can choose your own clothes. We’ll need to do some shopping though. I insist you let me replace your clothes.”

“Yes, Sir.” I can agree to this. It’s not a car. It’s jeans and T-shirts.

He blows out a relieved breath. “Good. Now, first things first. I want you to go to your room, strip off everything you’re wearing, and then meet me in my room.”

My breath hitches, mostly from excitement.

“I’m going to spank your bottom for scaring the living daylights out of me yesterday, and then I’m going to fuck you clear into tomorrow for the rest of the afternoon.”

I grin, flushing. “You said I would be too sore.”

“I decided I don’t have the willpower to keep my hands off you. We’ll improvise if you’re sore. There are a hundred different ways I want to make your body hum until you know you are mine.”

“I already know I’m yours. You don’t have to prove it.”

He lifts a brow. “You’d rather spend the day coloring or playing with Legos?”

I giggle and shake my head. “No, Sir. I’d rather spend the day having sex.”

He pats my bottom. “What are you waiting for?”

I scramble off his lap and rush to my room. My heart is full. I’m so happy I might cry a few more times today. But that’s okay. Daddy will wipe away my tears and it will all be better.

  Epilogue

  Two months later…

  Britney

“You sure are in a good mood today,” Cindy comments as she passes me at the front desk.

  I shrug. “It’s Friday afternoon.”

Cindy smiles. “Anything interesting happening this weekend?”

I lick my lips and shrug. “Davis is taking me out.” The truth is Davis is taking me to Surrender, the BDSM club he belongs to. It’s a big deal. He hasn’t taken me there yet. He thinks I’m ready. I’m both excited and scared out of my mind.

Cindy leaves me at the front desk and returns to her office. I’ve been working full-time as the receptionist for three weeks now. The previous receptionist had a baby and decided not to return. I was shocked when Cindy offered me the job. It pays better and has benefits.

I glance at the clock every two minutes for the rest of the day, until it’s finally six o’clock. Just before Cindy locks the front door, Davis arrives to pick me up. My car has finally bitten the dust and we’re planning to shop for a new one this weekend. He’s been driving me for the past three days.

I’m practically bouncing as he steps inside, and I quickly shut down my computer and gather my belongings, lifting my face to his when he leans over the counter to kiss me. “Hey, sweet girl.”

I shiver because I always do when he calls me that in his deep voice that only I can hear.

Cindy comes into the front from her office. “Hey, Davis.” She turns toward me. “Come on back to my office for a bit.” She looks back at Davis. “Both of you.”

I bite my lip, wondering if I’m in trouble. She doesn’t usually ask me to meet her in her office. The only time she’s called me back was to give me this promotion.

Davis has a strange look on his face as he sets a hand on my lower back and guides me. Almost a smirk? I can’t read his expression, but I start to think whatever is about to take place, he already knows about it.

When we enter Cindy’s office, I’m surprised to find her fiancé sitting in a chair next to her desk. Hudson stands and shakes Davis’s hand. “Good to see you.”

Davis knew Cindy and Hudson before I met him. They were already friends.

“Have a seat.” Cindy motions toward the two chairs across from her desk and then she and Hudson sit also.

I’m rigid. What is going on?

Cindy looks nervous, and she plays with a pencil on her desk, tapping it several times before Hudson scoots closer to her and sets his hand on top of hers. He says nothing.

“Did I do something wrong?” I ask.

Davis sets his hand on the back of my chair and strokes my shoulder with his fingers. “You haven’t done anything wrong, sweetie.”

  I glance at him, uncertain.

“There’s something I need to tell you,” Cindy begins in a soft voice.

Hudson squeezes her hand as if providing moral support.

She draws in a breath and sits up taller, seeming to pull herself together. “I’m a member of the club where Davis is taking you tonight.”

I suck in a breath. “Surrender?” I glance at Davis. He’s not shocked. He knew this. Right. Of course. That must be how they reconnected after Davis moved here.

Cindy swallows and continues. “I’m extremely private about my personal preferences. My fetish, I mean. Very few people know about my lifestyle choices. I’ve had to make the difficult decision to share with you because I didn’t want Davis…” She glances at him, “…Master Davis…to withdraw his membership because of me.”

I glance at Davis and back at Cindy and then Hudson. I’m not fully understanding. It’s sinking in slowly.

Davis squeezes my neck and then responds. “I offered to switch my membership to another club, but…”

Hudson interrupts. “The truth is that I encouraged Cindy to out herself to you. I thought it would be awkward going forward for Davis to keep this secret from you. You two are in a committed relationship. The fact that he knew we belong to Surrender and you didn’t know seemed unfair.”

“He’s right,” Cindy agrees. She’s shaking a bit.

“I’m sorry you were put in such a difficult position,” I finally respond. I can see this is stressful for her.

She smiles. “Don’t be sorry. I just have trust issues, so I’m very careful.”

“I would never tell a soul,” I inform her.

“I know you won’t. And it’s better this way. I’d rather the four of us be able to do things together without an elephant in the room. It wouldn’t be fair to you for me to maintain my secrecy.”

“Are you…” I don’t finish that question. It’s not my business what kind of kink she’s into. She’s obviously very distressed admitting she’s even a member of the club. She’s entitled to keep the rest private.

  “I’m a little, if that’s what you’re wondering.”

I hold her gaze. “Oh.” I glance at Davis as I realize they all know I am too.

“I’m sorry it took me so long to talk to you. I was…” She’s really shaking.

Hudson moves closer, tips her head toward him, and meets her gaze. “Take a breath, baby girl.”

She draws in a deep breath, holding his gaze. “I’m okay.”

He leans in and kisses her lips gently.

She turns back to me. “It wasn’t fair of me. Davis didn’t tell us, but I knew you had to be little simply because I know him. It wasn’t fair that it took me this long to share about myself. I hope you can forgive me.”

“Of course.” I’m shocked. “Of course,” I repeat. I can see this is hard for her. No wonder she hasn’t told me yet. “Please don’t worry about it. You’ve told me now, and you don’t owe me anything further. I’ll respect your privacy.”

Davis’s hand is on my back, and I realize I’m shaking as badly as Cindy.

She forces a smile. “I don’t, uh, play, outside of my home. Sometimes we have other Daddies and littles over, but I’m not out at Surrender. When we go there, I submit as an adult.”

  I nod. “Okay.”

“I just, uh, wanted to… I mean, I had to tell you before you go to the club. We aren’t going tonight, but everyone at Surrender knows me. I worked at the front desk for seven years.”

  My eyes widen. Wow. Okay.

“I didn’t start submitting to anyone until I met Master Hudson last year, but I was familiar with every aspect of BDSM.”

I nod again. Her stress is palpable. This is a big deal for her. I hope she will be okay. “Thank you for sharing. I’m humbled.”

She nods and then pastes on a better smile and sits up straighter. “Well, enough seriousness. You two go. Have fun. Enjoy the club. I’ll see you Monday morning.”

We all stand. It’s awkward though.

When Cindy comes around the desk, I instinctively reach out and hug her. Luckily, she hugs me back and then meets my gaze. “I’ll be fine. I feel better already. A weight lifted. Please don’t worry about me. Now you know. It’s not something we’ll discuss at work or anything. It’s just a side of both of us.”

“Of course.” I hug her again and then let Davis lead me from the room.

We don’t speak until after he has buckled me into his SUV and then climbed into the driver’s seat. He turns to me. “I’m proud of you, sweet girl.”

“I had no idea.” I’m still shocked.

“I know, and I hated keeping it from you, but it wasn’t my secret to tell.”

  I nod. “I understand.”

He reaches for my hand and squeezes it. “Now, shake it off. We’re going to go home, change, have some dinner, and head for the club.”

I bite my lip. I’m both excited and nervous. “You’re sure there will be other littles there?”

“Positive. Lucy will be there and two of her closest friends, Sabine and Josie. They will help you acclimate. If you’re not comfortable, we won’t stay. But I want you to give it a chance. I think you’re going to love it. It’s freeing when you walk into a place where everyone can be themselves without any fear of judgment.”

I take a deep breath. I’m excited. I’ve got this. “I’m ready, Daddy.”

“Good girl.” He leans over and kisses me. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” I close my eyes and force myself to relax as he drives back to the house. My entire life has changed so drastically in the last few months. I no longer have to worry about whether or not I will have enough money for food and rent. The only person I strip for is Davis.

My life is so full and so rich. I never dreamed I would ever be this happy. I worried at first that I might not want to continue to live as Davis’s little forever, but I was wrong. It’s the most amazing feeling in the world.

When I go to work, I put on my adult façade and spend the day helping match people with pets. When I’m at home, I never worry about a thing. I turn myself over to Daddy. He takes care of everything. It’s freeing. It’s liberating. It fills a hole I didn’t know I had.

My birthday is coming up soon, and I think he’s going to let me get a puppy. He’s hinted about it several times. I’ve tried not to get too excited because I don’t want to be disappointed, but I can’t wait. If not for my birthday, I know he’ll let me choose a pet soon.

I love being his little girl. I can’t imagine ever wanting that to change. I’m thinking about taking some classes at the local community college in the fall, but it won’t affect our relationship. Nothing will. He’s the best Daddy in the world, and I’m the luckiest little girl alive.

I hope you’ve enjoyed Nurturing Britney. Please enjoy the following excerpt from Charming Colton, the next book in the Surrender series.

“What do you think?” I ask Leah as I spin around in a circle, admiring my newest dress in the full-length mirror behind my closet door. I’m grinning, so it’s not like Leah has the option of telling me she hates it. Then again, this is Leah I’m talking about. She may be submissive, but she’s not a little and refuses to even consider dabbling in that side of the fetish world no matter how many times I try to talk her into it.

Leah rolls her eyes and flops back onto my bed dramatically, her long brown curls fanning out all over the comforter. “No matter how many times you ask me how cute I think you are in your idea of fetish attire, you’re not going to get me to understand the appeal of being a little, Eve,” she teases as she rolls onto her side and props her cheek on one palm.

She glances up and down my body. “It’s so short.”

“It’s supposed to be short.” I flatten down the front of the lavender dress that got delivered earlier today. It fits perfectly. Exactly what I’d hoped for. It looks like it belongs on someone who’s about four, but sized for my thirty-year-old self. I trail my hands over the smocking across my chest and then the low-cut rounded neckline. The sleeves are puffed at my shoulders with elastic around my biceps. It spreads out full below the smocking, which means no one who hasn’t seen me naked could discern what my body shape is underneath. And the best part, it flares out when I spin.

“It barely covers your ass, Eve. And not at all if you keep spinning around like that. Plus, you’re going to get dizzy.”

I tip my head to one side, plant my hands on my hips, and glare at her in fun. “Because that black skirt you wore last week at Surrender was so much longer.”

She chuckles. “Okay, probably not, but that’s different. I love that skirt. It’s skin tight. It makes me feel sexy, especially when I pair it with the red corset—the one that pushes my boobs up, making it look like I actually have boobs.”

I shake my head. “You have more boobs than me.”

“Seriously, Eve. You’re not going to convince me of that. And why are we arguing about boob size?”

“We’re not.” I spin back around and look in the mirror again. “And it doesn’t matter if you like this dress or not. I like it, and I can’t wait to entice Owen to spank me in it.”

When Leah doesn’t respond, I glance over at her to find her picking on an imaginary piece of lint on my bed.

  “Wha
t?” I’ve gotten the impression more than once that Leah isn’t super fond of Owen.

She shrugs. “I don’t know. The guy gives me a strange vibe is all.”

“Well, he’s been nothing but polite, and he’s got a pretty strong Daddy tendency. It’s been forever since I’ve played with a steady Daddy. Let me have some fun.”

“Okay, but please don’t go to his house or anything. Not alone. Not yet. Give it a bit more time.”

I sigh. “I haven’t been to his house yet. I promise.” I have met him in public for coffee and twice for dinner, but Leah knows that.

“Worse, you’ve been to his bar. The place he works. Just…be careful.”

I leap over toward the bed and jump onto it, making the mattress bounce next to her. “Maybe you’re jealous.”

  She chuckles. “Of what?”

“Because I have a regular partner at the club finally. It’s been a while since I had a Daddy I could count on.” I shrug.

She laughs again. “I don’t want a relationship with a Daddy, so no. Not jealous. Concerned.”

I lift up the hem of my new dress. “We’re not all that different, you know. We both like short skirts. I just like mine looser.” I giggle.

She rolls her eyes and then heaves herself off my bed. “Sure. Almost twins.” She leans over and kisses my cheek. “Gotta go. I’ll see you Friday night?”

“Yep. I’ll be the naughty toddler getting spanked.”

She groans with a smile. “You can get spanked without having a fake tantrum, you know. All you have to do is ask any Dom in the club.”

I give an exaggerated pout. “What’s the fun in that?” I shove off the bed and walk Leah to the door, seeing her out before returning to my bedroom. I stop in front of the mirror and spin around again.

I’m duplicitous. I know it. I work my ass off nine hours a day five days a week at Earnest and Heart. I’m a fantastic accountant. People pay me good money to save them as much as I can. I show up every day as the poster-woman for professional. Half my closet is filled with pencil skirts, blouses, jackets, and pumps. I can put my hair in the perfect bun in the dark without a mirror. I learned how to apply makeup from the best—my mother.
