His perfect dimples deepen with an ear to ear smile as he slips the very expensive, classy, ring onto my finger.
He hoists me up high into his arms, and kisses me faintly. “So, the future Mrs Elizabeth Knight. How do you feel about consummating our engagement,” he hums, clenching his jaw. “I really would like to inspect the lingerie I picked personally?” His lips curve wickedly.
“Hmm, I think that is one good idea Mr Knight.”
With my legs hanging over his forearm, and my head resting on his breast, he carries me into the elevator. I never thought this kind of love would happen to me. But it has. I’m going to spend my life with a vampire. And one day, even if I must wait, he will give in and we’ll become eternal.
