Punishment Page 11

Avoiding looking up at him, she sat on the bed and stared at the button of his jeans, trying to get the nerve to unbutton it. Even now, his cock strained. Blade must be in pain but didn’t utter a word. Forcing herself to move, she fumbled unbuttoning his jeans. Blade sucked in his breath.

Trying to be bolder than she felt, she straddled his shins and stuck her fingers into his pants again, moving along his waist line. She couldn’t help but peek up at Blade. He was staring down at her, sweat trickling down the sides of his face. Giving him a devilish smile, hoping to mask the tremors running through her, she slowly pulled his jeans down, freeing his proud cock.

She gasped at the size, but curiosity gripped her, and she ripped off his jeans. “Commando?”

  He shrugged.

She edged up his shins again, her hands pressing on his naked thighs, and she felt him quivering beneath her. Yes, she had the power. He was hers, hers to do what she wanted at will.

Lowering her head, she licked his flesh, tasting salt. He arched his hips up and cried out. She liked being in control, liked hearing him crying out, liked having him be submissive. What was wrong with her? Maybe she was a sadist. She twirled her tongue around him, moving toward the top where pre-come leaked from his shaft. Kissing the top, she elicited a groan from her captive panther. He pulled on the belts, his muscles rippling, but the belts held strong.

She opened her mouth, then slowly taking him inside her mouth, lips clasping around his shaft. Putting her hands on his arching hips, pinning him to the bed, she moved up and down, slow and fast, and slow again, sucking him, kissing him, torturing him. He strained beneath her, but his hands remained stretched out over his head, powerless to touch her, forced to allow her to take the lead. Boldness swept over her. She squirmed, heat growing hotter between her legs.

“Oh, my God.” He panted. “Red, you’re killing me.”

She sucked harder, wanting to spill his seed into her mouth, to taste him. He cried out and didn’t disappoint her. Hot salty come filled her mouth and shot down her throat. She jerked her head up and licked her lips. “You’re hot.”

He threw his head back. She kissed a quivering thigh and got another triumphant groan. She could stop now, leave him a mess, still tied to the bed, but she was having too much fun. Was she as bad as Martin? No, Blade had consented to this. Martin had never given her the choice.

Abigail kissed and licked her way up Blade’s sweating torso. She twirled her tongue in his navel, her hands cupping his heavy balls. He groaned. “Holy Mercy, you’re a temptress.”

She laughed and slid up his naked body, still fully clothed. She licked his nipple and received another low, torturous moan.

She stared up at him. “What do you want?”

“I want to feel your skin against mine.”

“Ah, but I’m enjoying myself. You’ll have to wait.” She twirled her tongue around his nipple and he shuddered. She moved her hands over his hard abdomen, discovering every crevice, every sensitive spot. She kissed his neck and then made her way up to his chin. When he turned to kiss her, she pulled away. Frowning, he pulled on the belts, but they held.

She braced her hands on his shoulders and pushed herself up. Straddling his abs, she peered down at him and ran her fingers lightly over his nipples, watching his face, his eyes darkening with passion. She gripped her sweater, slowly pulling it off. Blade sucked in his breath and shuddered beneath her. Her bra hung loosely, and she discarded it onto the floor. Studying his face, she ran her hands over her heavy breasts and squeezed them, having the control of what she wanted, needed.

His heated gaze aroused her even more as she played with her nipples and pinched them. She groaned, wanting to feel his lips on her, but not yet. The fear of losing control still haunted her. What if Blade punished her for this?

Avoiding his gaze, she stiffened and slid her hands down to her trembling thighs.

“You’re beautiful,” he whispered, his voice husky. “Don’t stop.”

She raised her head and peered down at him. Passion brimmed in those eyes, he wanted her, lusted for her, but there was no anger there. She gave him a sly smile and heaved her legs off the bed. He swore softly but stopped midsentence when she unbuttoned her jeans. She easily stepped out of them. Still wearing her lacey red underwear and her hair hanging down, she glanced over at him and gasped at the hunger in his eyes.

She wobbled as she pulled her underwear down past her quivering thighs. Could she really do this? Willing impale herself on Blade? He said she could stop whenever she wanted and he wouldn’t force her.

As if reading her mind, Blade said, “Abigail, you don’t have to be frightened. We can stop when you need us to.”

She moistened her lips and stood tall. “No, I want to. It’s just—” She was too shy to ask for what she needed.

“Untie me, Abigail, let me love you.”

She gazed at him, unsure on what to do. Her heavy breasts ached to feel his lips on them, on her skin. Hesitantly, she untied one belt. Blade smiled and reached around and undid the other one. He turned around and sat up. Her heart quickening, she stepped back.

He stayed where he was and reached for her. She stared at his hand and bit her lip. Not looking at him, she slipped her fingers around his palm. He pulled her gently to him and kissed her lips. “You’re still in control, Red,” he murmured. “Tell me what you need.”

Not able to look at him, she whispered, “I want you to kiss—” Her voice faded.

“Kiss what?” Rough hand cupped her breast and she gasped.

“You want me to kiss your breasts?”

She nodded, heat rushing over her cheeks. He started to push her onto the bed.

  “No,” she blurted.

  He immediately stopped. “We can—”

“Sit further back on the bed,” she ordered, finding her voice.

As he obeyed, a little bit of bravery rushed back up Abigail’s spine. She sat on his lap, feeling his cock push against her inner thigh. She shifted her knees on either side of his thighs, stood on her knees, and gripped his shoulders. Arching her back, she lifted her breasts. When he clasped a nipple in his moist mouth, she gasped. Pleasure swept over her as he sucked her nipple, his tongue swirling and licking. Strong arms wrapped around her waist pinning her to him. Blood thumped through her and wetness formed at her core. She let herself go, enjoying the orgasm building inside her.

He slipped his fingers down the side of her hip. He inserted a finger into her heated channel. She whimpered with pleasure. Slowly but firmly, he stroked her, building a fire within her. She wanted to feel him inside her. She sat up and moved her hands down his naked back, his muscles tensing and flexing beneath her. Widening her thighs, she lowered herself on the tip of his cock. Blade trembled. He lifted his dark head. Their eyes met, steadfast, spellbound. Thighs quaking, she felt his thick shaft pushing into her tight channel, and she froze, surprised at the sharp pain. She hadn’t been with many men, but none of them compared to Blade.

  “You’re tensing, Abigail,” he murmured.

She trembled, nails digging into his back. She pressed her forehead against his and took him deeper, allowing her muscles to stretch to accommodate his size. He lightly caressed her back, and he stroked her clit, stirring passion within her.

Abigail caught her breath. Blade wasn’t rushing her, denying his own passion for her to take control. She swallowed and rocked up and down on his lap, her sleek muscles sliding along his cock. He groaned as she moved. She put both her hands on his shoulders to ride him. As she quickened the pace, tingles of pleasure poured over her.

Blade bent his head and took in a nipple. She screamed as an orgasm gripped her, shattering her. He arched his hips driving his cock deeper into her core, every time she came down onto him. She dug her nails into his shoulders to hang on as she allowed herself to feel and not hold back, letting her body take her where she never dared to go. Blade pushed harder on her clit and sucked harder on her nipple, his cock thrusting de
eper. She screamed as the thrill of the orgasm she had long denied herself gripped her, squashing the last memory of Martin.

  ***

Blade released her nipple and she grinded her hips on him. Abigail’s sweet juices coated his cock, her silky channel brushing against him as she took him deeper into her core. He shook with fire as he thrust into her. Her small hands clasped his shoulders as she took him in, her orgasm pushing him toward his. He wanted to please this woman, making her come over and over and over again, to only experience pleasure.

Her nipples caressed his chest. Shimmers of warm sensations pulsed through him, winding around his icy heart. A heat wave burst through his chest, melting all the anger, hate, and pain pent inside him. Sweat trickled down his body, drenching him. He gasped for breath, not able to suck in air fast enough. Blood pounded between his temples. He arched his back as he sank deep into her, spilling his seed. He trembled, riding the waves of pleasure. Every time Abigail touched him, the anger inside him broke away, but this was an avalanche crushing his anger. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, not ever wanting to lose her.

Abigail moved her hands up and down his back, stroking the burning fire within him. He wanted to hang on to his hate, it had been who he was for so long, but the hate lost its grip. He fell into a swirl of unfamiliar emotion. She settled onto his still thrusting cock and wrapped her legs around him, pinning him to her. When she laid her head against his shoulder, he held her close, embracing her scent of mimosa. How could this small woman break through his rigid stubbornness where archangels and his brother had failed? Not even Samantha begging him to change had cut through his icy heart.

Her beating heart and rapid breath matched his. Time slowed as they clutched each other, exploring each other’s sweating bodies. Blade didn’t know how long it lasted, but he needed time to decipher what happened. Words were at a loss for him. Abigail stole his every thought.

She shivered and raised her head. “Blade, thank you.”

He kissed her neck. “Thank me?”

She whimpered, and he smiled. He’d never tire of bringing this woman pleasure, to hear her moan.

“I haven’t been with a man since Martin.”

  “No one else?”

She lowered her gaze. “Well, I mean I haven’t been with a man while sober.”

He clasped her chin to meet her hesitant gaze. “I want to pleasure you but want you to experience it, wide awake.” He kissed the tip of her delightful nose and bruised lips.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and parted her lips. He kissed her, indulging himself, tasting her sweetness, pressing her against him.

Another scent infiltrated his senses. Coffee? He pulled away.

Abigail caressed his cheek. “Did you make coffee last night?”

  He frowned. “No, I didn’t. Someone’s here.”

Abigail’s face paled. “What?” She unwound her legs, and he lifted her off him, cursing whoever disturbed them.

“Stay here,” he warned. He wanted to rush out there to kill the intruder, but his angelic and demonic powers were stripped. He didn’t even own a gun, thanks to Raphael. Yanking on his jeans, he debated on what to do. Abigail fumbled getting dressed, and he gritted his teeth at the fear now reflecting in those emerald eyes.

Stepping close to the door, he listened to the door. He heard voices. Wait? Was that Matt Lauer? The robber turned on the television set?

Fists clenched, he whipped open the door, ready to do battle. He had defeated demons. He could handle a puny human.

The aroma of brewing coffee filled the air and Matt Lauer’s voice echoed from the living room. He stormed into the room and lowered his raised fist.

Black boots on the coffee table, Raphael sat on the sofa, sipping a cup of coffee. His hair flared over his shoulders, and his tanned skin brought out more of his penetrating silver eyes. Wearing a silver crew knit sweater and black jeans, he looked like a college kid on winter break.

Blade growled, “What the hell do you think you are doing?”

Raphael put his feet on the floor. “What does it look like I’m doing?”

“Blade,” Abigail called behind him. “Who are you talking to?”

  “Raphael,” he answered.

Hair fluffy around her head, Abigail peeked out the bedroom. “Raphael?”

“Good morning, Abigail,” Raphael called. “Please come in and have some coffee.”

Barefoot, Abigail came out of the bedroom. She wore one of Blade’s shirts, which hung down to her knees. Blade couldn’t help but smile. She was more beautiful now than he had ever seen her. Her cheeks glowed and he ached to kiss those pliable lips again.

He walked over to the counter to pour her a cup of coffee. She gave Blade a questioningly look and he shrugged. He handed her a cup of coffee. She took it but didn’t make a move to sit in the living room instead she stood in front of the counter. Raphael still intimidated her.

Blade stood next to her and wrapped a protective arm around her. “Raphael, besides drinking coffee, what are you doing?”

“Poison and Ringmaster obviously don’t know where you live.”

“You didn’t tell them,” Blade asked, not sure why where he lived was such a secret. Didn’t the archangel trust his two new employees?

Raphael cast a smug gaze between them. “I thought it best under the circumstances.”

Blade had an impulse to strangle the interfering know-it-all.

Abigail stiffened. “Raphael, is there something wrong?”

“Yes,” he said. “The board has reappeared.”

Blade narrowed his eyes. “Who has it?”

Raphael put his cup on the table and stared at Abigail. “Your brother, Brayden.”

  “No,” she gasped.

Raphael picked up his cup of coffee and took a sip. “You’ve got a bigger problem than the Zombie Board.” His silver eyes darkened.

Chills ran down Blade’s back. He knew. “Michael.”

“Yes.” He nodded. “My dear brother has been bound and determined to find you, my dear boy.”

“I thought he couldn’t find me with your so called protective barrier.”

“Lose the attitude, boy,” Raphael snapped. “My barrier works fine. Michael found you through Balthazar.”

“Shit,” Raphael said. “You mean Balthazar told Michael?”

“Michael? Michael who?” Abigail asked. She stared up at Blade. “Wait, you mean, Michael the Archangel? The Angel of Death is here in Frisco.”

  “Apparently,” Blade grumbled.

  “Actually, Michael had Balthazar followed.”

“Followed? Followed by who?” Blade demanded.

  “Lilith.”

Abigail put the cup down. “Who is Lilith?”

Blade tightened his grip around Abigail's waist. “She’s one of Michael’s assassins.”

  She blinked. “Assassins?”

  Chapter Ten

Abigail had fallen into a story full of archangels, assassins, and demons. After experiencing mind-blowing sex, her world came crashing around her. “Michael has assassins?”

Raphael released a long labored sigh. “Unfortunately, he does. Michael uses them to punish rogue angels, anyone who doesn’t live up to his perfect code.”

  “Raphael,” Blade warned.

“Secrets tear lovers apart, Blade,” Raphael said.

Heat rushed over Abigail’s face, and she crossed her feet. He knew they had had sex. The schoolmaster just caught her making out with a boy, well, a little more than just kissing.

Raphael stretched his arms out on the coach. “You must tell her the truth, Blade.”

Blade stiffened next to her, and he dropped his arm. “Raphael, this isn’t—”

“Actually, it is. Forces are closing in. You’re marked, boy.” He tilted his head at Abigail. “Her brother is in danger of enslaving his soul to Balthazar. Only being honest and trusting each other will save Abigail's brother and your soul.”

  Ab
igail held up her hand. “Wait, a minute. So, if Lilith is following Balthazar to get to a rogue angel, then is Michael after Poison or Ringmaster?”

Raphael took another sip of his coffee. The elephant in the living room slammed into Abigail and she knew. She stared at Blade. He held her gaze, his jaw clamped tight. The pieces fell together. “He’s after you, isn’t he? You’re the rogue angel. That’s how you know about the archangels.”

“Lying will destroy the very foundation,” Raphael said.

Abigail pulled her gaze away from Blade to stare at Raphael. Lying? Had Blade lied to her?

He got up and strolled over to the window. “Only together by trusting each other and working together can you defeat the evil in this town and save souls. If you are divided, the evil will win.”

  “Always the cryptic,” Blade muttered.

“Mmm.” Raphael pulled his sweater. “I thought I was being crystal clear. Obviously, you don’t want to hear the truth.” He shook his head. “But then again, some things never change.”

He tilted his head as if listening and frowned.

Abigail didn’t like the look on his face. “What’s wrong?”

Raphael straightened his sweater and gave her a small smile. “I’ve got to be going. Thanks for the coffee.”

He faded to a brilliant white glow that filled the room. Abigail was surprised it didn’t hurt her eyes. Rather she wanted to twirl in the light, a light that offered tranquility, peace of mind, and hope. She took a step toward it, wanting to bathe in it, willing to follow it wherever the glow went, but Blade clasped her arm and pulled her toward him. The glimmering sphere drifted toward the window and disappeared. “No, let me go,” she whispered.

“Abigail, you’re under the spell of the afterglow of an archangel. Come back to me. If you follow him now, you’re in danger of jumping out the window.”
