He found her nub with his hand and rubbed with his callused thumb while he pushed himself deeper and faster. Tiny nails dug into his shoulders and his mate threw her head back and cried out his name. He felt her pussy ripple in her climax, sucking his dick with her sheath.
Finally, he felt the pleasure of his own orgasm rip through his body. A million fireworks, a comet orbiting the earth, a fucking supernova. Coming inside of her was all of these things and more. He roared her name as his hips jerked out of time, pumping his seed into her heat with every quivering movement.
Mark her. His Bear growled and Marcus felt his fangs distend. He leaned forwards and she tilted her head, granting him access. His teeth slid into the flesh at the side of her neck like a hot knife through butter. He reveled in the coppery liquid that poured down his throat, pressing his teeth in deeper in the way of his kind.
Marcus claimed Leya as his mate for all the world to see. He put his mark on her body, while her sex tightened around his shaft and milked him for all he was worth.
“Mine.”
Epilogue
The plane ride back to the states was long. Too long. At least it felt that way to Leya. She smiled and leaned her head against Marcus’ shoulder. Her mate grumbled softly and opened his eyes to place a kiss on her forehead.
“Can I get you something?” Her stomach tightened at the sound of his deep, sexy voice.
“No, I’m good,” she replied still smiling.
“Okay, I’m just gonna use the restroom. Be right back, baby.” He got up and she admired the six-foot plus view of him as he squeezed down the aisle to the first-class restrooms.
They had almost the entire section to themselves, except for an older couple. The woman looked at Marcus then at her and nodded her approval. Leya bit back a giggle. He was a damn fine specimen of man. And Bear. Her Bear. Grrr.
Leya stretched in her seat. Her body was deliciously sore. She’d used muscles she never even knew she had the past few days! Heat warmed her face as she thought about how she’d gotten in that state.
And now I know exactly what the fuss is all about! She smiled at her own little joke. Marcus spent the remaining days of their vacation showing her exactly what she’d been missing on the king-sized bed in his suite, and the shower, and the floor, and the kitchen table…
Still, she couldn’t get enough of him. Her very own Bear! Her one true, fated mate. According to him, what they had was rare and special. Something to be treasured. He vowed to do just that, to treasure her every single day of their lives together.
As far as she could tell that meant he felt the need to protect, provide, and possess her. The three P’s. She giggled at her silly thoughts. Leya was a realist of course.
She knew relationships took time and effort on both sides. Compromise, patience, love, and understanding. All things she was ready to try with him. Marcus was incredible.
Her heart swelled with emotion as she thought about how her life had changed in just a few days. Sure, it was fast, but how many chances did a girl get to be claimed and mated by a sexy Bear Shifter who made her feel loved? She was grabbing onto him with both hands!
She’d never been impulsive or reckless, but this was her life. Her mind was still flying high, but her heart, her heart told her that he was worth it. He was the one. Her only one. She believed everything he told her.
How could she not after she watched him get all furry and fangy to save her from that feral dog? She had watched him risk life and limb for her and had no doubt he’d do it again. He loved her. The truth of that statement warmed her, hell, it made her shiver too.
The idea that she was loved. Big, dependable, boring Leya Tremayne loved by Marcus Devlin of Bear Claw Bakery. And she loved him right back. That was all that mattered.
Her eyes found his as he walked back over to his seat beside her. He put his arm around her back, and she snuggled into his side. One of her favorite positions when they weren’t doing other things.
“So,” he breathed in her hair as he spoke. He seemed to love sniffing, kissing, and petting her. He was a very physical being. She loved it.
“The moving company should be finished packing your apartment up today. They’ll deliver everything by the end of the week. That okay? Need to run up there and get anything?” Marcus asked while holding her securely in his strong arms.
She ran her hand over his t-shirt covered chest and smiled as he rumbled beneath her touch. He liked being petted too. She sure had enjoyed exploring his body with her eyes, hands, and mouth that morning. With any luck, she’d be back to exploring him in just a few short hours.
The diamond that winked up at her as she rubbed his pectorals had been an amazingly wonderful surprise after they’d mated, an occurrence he assured her was more unique than she knew. According to him and Clan law they were already married, but being a normal, he knew she would want a traditional wedding. Flowers and all.
After that brief discussion, he’d gone out for a few hours and came back with a string quartet, dozens of flowers, chocolates, champagne, and a huge diamond engagement ring. Her Bear was a romantic! She was so ridiculously happy. Leya couldn’t stop smiling.
“What is it, baby?” he asked with one dark eyebrow raised.
“I’m happy,” she told him.
Marcus grinned broadly, his handsome smile stealing her breath away. He captured her lips in a searing kiss that made her toes curl and she moaned softly as he pulled gently away.
“That’s good, baby, because I am going to do everything I can to make sure you never have a reason to stop smiling. There’s just one thing I forgot to warn you about-”
“What’s that?”
“Well, you see, I mentioned my two brothers,” he began.
“Yes? Daniel and Taylor, right?”
“Well, Daniel is the middle brother, and uh, he kinda hates women.”
“What? Why?”
“You see, it’s not his fault. He was supposed to get married and his fiancé left him standing at the altar.”
“Oh my! No wonder, he hates women. But will he hate me?”
“No, baby, you are mine. He will love you.” The or I’ll kill him went unsaid.
“Then there is Taylor, and well, he’s the baby brother. Kinda spoiled by my parents before mom died, but anyway he won’t be a problem. Unless he tries anything in which case, I’ll rip his arms off and feed them to him.”
“Geez, Marcus! You know I love you, and I’m sure Taylor will see me as nothing but a big, big sister!”
“None of that now, sweet, or I’ll have to spank you for talking bad about my mate.”
“Spank me?” She licked her lips and watched his eyes darken. The idea had merit.
“Not here, baby, we’re landing. My brothers are getting us from the airport. They’re probably already here,” he said as he made sure both their seatbelts were fastened.
“So, you ready to meet the family?”
“Oh, I’m bearly breathing with anticipation!”
They both laughed at her joke, and she tilted her head up for his kiss. Love, happiness, and excitement for the future, their future, coursed through her veins.
“I love you, Marcus,” she whispered into his mouth as he kissed her sweetly.
“I love you, my beautiful mate.”
The end.

About Bearly Tamed
Krissy Sposa has been dreaming of her mating to gorgeous Bear Shifter, Taylor Devlin, since she was a teenager! But the sexy blonde Shifter is determined to remain a play bear des
pite her belief that they are fated mates.
Taylor has known the curly haired she-Bear ever since she started working for his family at the original Bear Claw Bakery location. Sure, he knows about her school-girl crush, but there's no way he is going to give in to temptation. No matter how sweet she looks with flour on her shirt and cream filling on her lips, Krissy Sposa is off-limits.
When a lone Bear comes sniffing around Krissy, Taylor has a decision to make. Claim her as his own or watch her get swept away by a handsome stranger!
A Message from Marcus, one of The Devlin Brothers…
Hello Clan-mates,
Leya and I are pleased to announce our engagement to the entire Barvale Clan!
As the oldest of the three Devlin Brothers, I am also pleased to announce that I am stepping into my father’s shoes officially as Clan Alpha as he’s ready for retirement.
He’s off to see the world and as peaceful as things are here, I don’t foresee any problems. Of course, anyone who is not happy with me taking up the reins has the right to issue an official challenge for the position at the next Clan gathering.
Now, we’ve got some in house changes. My youngest brother, Taylor, is our new Keeper. He will make sure Barvale Clan law is upheld and all incidents reported for posterity. If you have any Shifter related issues, please see him.
Now, I know Taylor seems like nothing but a play bear, but my baby bro is a force to be reckoned with when the need arises. He may seem all sweet and cuddly, but he’s got some wicked sharp teeth, I guarantee. Do yourself a favor and read up on our laws before you try and take him on!
All you single ladies looking to catch a handsome Bear may want to watch out as well. Taylor’s a charmer, but he’s been known to break a few hearts. He is a confirmed bachelor, and that is directly from the Bear’s mouth.
So please, do not bombard his work email with requests for dates or hook-ups. That address is for serious Clan or Bakery business only.
Speaking of which, Bear Claw Bakery is doing phenomenally well, and as such, we are investing some serious money back into our Clan! The health and well-being of our Clan is of the upmost importance.
We will begin with a complete overhaul of Barvale County Park. You can expect to see brand-new, cub-proof, playground equipment going up in the next few weeks!
More in-house changes include my brother Daniel as our new Clan Enforcer! Do yourself a favor, don’t do any bad shit that brings him knocking on your door.
Lastly, we will be hosting an engagement party in just a few weeks where I will introduce you all to my blushing bride! A warning one and all, be on your best behavior with my fiancée.
See you real soon!
-Marcus Devlin, Alpha of the Barvale Clan and CEO of Bear Claw Bakery
Prologue
Krissy Sposa gritted her teeth and tried her best to remain calm. She’d been working up her nerve to ask Mr. Devlin, her Alpha and the owner of Bear Claw Bakery, for an afterschool job ever since she was just a kid.
Krissy was almost thirteen now and she knew she’d be great at whatever it was they asked her to do! She just had to be.
Her mother wasn’t doing all that well lately. She’d gotten fired from her part-time job and Krissy knew it was because the cancer was back.
She sucked in the cold air as she thought about how her mom suffered. And always silently. She’d tried desperately to hide her condition from her two daughters, but it was no use.
Both girls were Shifters. Their noses told them the truth before her mother could get the denial past her lips. Certain things had smells. Like fear, anger, pain, sadness, and lies. Some of these she’d attributed with her mother for far too long.
“Please help my mom get through this,” she whispered her prayer to whatever gods were listening.
Her heart squeezed in her chest. This morning’s bout of nausea had ended badly and, not for the first time in her young life, Krissy cursed her father for running out on them.
There was no one to explain about the changes she was experiencing. The fiercely protective sow that had risen up inside of her this past year. No one but her normal mother to teach her to control her Bear.
He was the one who passed on his supernatural side to her and Luisa, her younger sister. Not that either of them remembered the big Bear Shifter past his name and a vague recollection of his face.
Gianni Sposa wasn’t a one-woman kinda guy. He’d upped and left when Krissy was still in second grade and Luisa, had still been in diapers. The jerk! Not that it mattered. Her mom was awesome!
Kind and loving, Patricia Sposa tried her best to raise two Bear cubs on her own. When her husband left her, she sought advice from the local Clan Alpha, and he’d taught her the basics.
For a normal with two rambunctious Bear cubs for kids, she did an excellent job. Working as a school librarian she was always there for the girls, but she’d had to leave her position after this last round of chemo had left her incapacitated.
They had no choice but to replace her and since they still needed to pay bills and eat, she’d gotten a part-time job at the grocery store. But they had to let her go that morning after she’d been unable to show up once again. Her family was suffering, and Krissy was desperate.
Her feet ached with her quick, repetitive pacing. She’d been at it for an hour now. People filed in and out of the busy storefront of Bear Claw Bakery, the absolute best bakery and coffee shop around, while she contemplated her options.
They were few and they all sucked. What choice did she have? Shy Krissy had to go in! Quiet and awkward, confrontation was something she actively avoided. Too big to go unnoticed, and too insecure to strut her stuff like the other she-Bears in the clan, she’d endured the childish ribbing of her classmates and Clan-mates alike.
At five foot eleven inches tall, she towered over most of the boys in her class. All round, ninth-grade had been pretty terrible so far. Especially since she’d skipped a year in grammar school and was younger than everyone else.
Of course, the stress of high school came in second to everything else going on in her life. Christmas was just a few weeks away. Poor Luisa had her heart set on a new bike! But their mom could barely keep food on the table. With two Bear Shifter daughters, it was a difficult job.
No matter how scared she was, or how much Krissy hated the idea, she just had to go see her Clan Alpha. She needed a job and fast. It was the only way her little family was gonna make it.
With her back straight and her eyes cast downward she turned to the wide double doors with the words Bear Claw Bakery etched on them in gold.
She was going to demand an audience with Alpha Devlin! Her plan was going to work! If only she’d just looked up.
“Hey! Look out!” Krissy’s sensitive ears recognized the high-pitched shriek of Barvale High School’s one and only head cheerleader, Margot O’Conner, but the screaming normal wasn’t fast enough to stop her from turning right into a six-foot plus brick wall.
Heat crept up her face and she knew she was blushing horribly. Oh no! I can’t believe I did this! She closed her eyes tightly, wishing for all she was worth that the ground would simply open and swallow her.
A deep and pleasant chuckle reached her ears. Then the one boy in the whole world Krissy never thought would ever speak to her leaned over and offered her his hand.
“Ooof! Are you okay?”
Taylor Devlin, the youngest son of the Alpha and the quarterback for Barvale High’s football team towered over her from where she now sat on the frozen ground with his hand outstretched. He was smiling gently at her, totally cool and unruffled by the havoc she’d just caused.
Her mouth hung open as she tried to wipe off the soggy, utterly ruined thanks to her, remnants of the drink and honeybun he’d been eating from her jacket.
“Come on, let me help you up,” his playful grin, despite the coffee staining his varsity jacket, made Krissy lightheaded.
“Uh, thanks,” she nodded and took his proffered hand, try
ing not to look at the scowling beauty next to him.
That was his type, petite and perfect. The two of them were like high school gods. All golden and glowing with perfect skin and hair. They’d never noticed her in the halls or the cafeteria. Barely even acknowledge her existence.
A circumstance that she presently thought wasn’t so bad. Definitely better than this! Humiliation burned her cheeks. Krissy wished he’d just forget about her and move on, but to her surprise he kept hold of her hand!
“Uh, I am really sorry,” she began, but Margot cut her off.
“Well, no duh, loser! You should, like, watch where you’re going!”
“Hey now, that’s unnecessary, Mar. Uh, tell you what, you go ahead to the field, and I’ll catch up with you later,” he dismissed the cheerleader and picked up the smashed cup and napkins. Without a backwards glance, he took Krissy by the elbow and herded her inside.
She couldn’t believe it. Taylor Devlin just ditched Margot O’Conner to help her inside. No freaking way!
Focus, you are here for a job not to drool over football players.
“You’re Clan?” he asked in a low voice, with that same jovial smile on his handsome face. She nodded dumbly, unable to use real words just yet.
“Just had your first Change?”
Another nod.
“Have you been inducted?”
Krissy shook her head this time. Her induction was coming up soon. She’d had her first Shift, or Change, but with her mother being so ill, she hadn’t gotten around to scheduling it yet.
