Then she pulled back, tracing the head once more.

  Teasing me.

  Torturing me.

“Do you want to see her play with my nipples? Tease them with her tongue?” She took me further into her mouth that time, bobbing up and down before she came up for air.

“Yes.” I hissed the end of my response.

“Do you want to see us fuck?” This time she took me all the way to the back of her throat which was quite a feat, given how large I was.

I grunted my answer that time, too consumed with the feel of her mouth to give her question the thought it deserved.

Of course, I’d love to see Zoe with another woman, especially since she’d laid the option on the table, but there was a part of me that knew I’d be jealous of Andy’s hands on her. Yet the image turned me on just the same.

I’d never had feelings for any of the women I’d had threesomes with, so if we did go through with this with her ex, I’d be in uncharted territory for sure.

“I’m gonna come,” I warned, pumping into her mouth repeatedly, the familiar pull in my balls a clear warning. I removed my hand from her hair and grabbed the cushion, watching her as she sucked me deep. And when her finger drifted over the sensitive area beneath my balls, I thought I was gonna lose my fuckin’ mind.

I didn’t warn her again. A jumbled mess of sounds barreled out of my mouth as the first wave of my orgasm racked through me. I pumped my hips, slowing as my release crested, then waned, relishing in the warmth of her mouth as I came back down. She looked up at me afterward, dabbing at the corners of her mouth like she’d just eaten a meal from a five-star restaurant.

Moments later, I took her to my bedroom, pushing her on her back and reciprocating, her screams the best sound I’d ever heard. Soon enough, we tired each other out, collapsing on the bed in a heap of tangled limbs and racing hearts.

With my body curled around Zoe’s, her back pressed against my front, I finally gave into my exhaustion. And as the waves of sleep pressed against the corners of my consciousness, I’d come to realize in the short span of time since I’d met her, that Zoe had become integrated into my life, more so than I ever thought possible. I wanted to give her all of me, hand her the world on a silver fucking platter, fulfill any and every desire she had.

Which now might possibly include a threesome with her ex.

  15

Strong arms held me close. A warm body pressed into mine from behind, and there was nothing I wanted more than to stay exactly where I was, but my bladder had other ideas.

I could tell from his breathing he was still asleep, so I carefully tried to move his arm off me, but I couldn’t even budge him. Instead, he gripped me tighter in his sleep. When I failed a second time, I had no other choice but to wake him.

“Babe,” I whispered, tapping his arm twice. “I have to use the bathroom.” Still nothing. “Brick,” I said a little louder and again there was no movement from him. I called his name twice more, louder each time, until he finally groaned, pulling his arm free and rolling onto his back, the covers shifting lower and revealing his hip bones. One quick tug and I’d be able to see all his goodies.

Deciding to take care of nature’s call first, I disappeared into the bathroom, returning two minutes later. I wanted to crawl back into the same position I left, but there was no such luck as Brick was now awake, watching me as I approached the side of the bed I’d left.

“Sorry. I didn’t want to wake you up, but I had to pee.”

He held his hand out, palm up. “Come back over here.”

I cuddled next to him, this time resting my head over his heart. The rhythm was hypnotic, lulling me back into a peaceful bliss. With my eyes closed and my arm flung across him, as well as my leg, I settled into what I thought would be at least another hour of sleep, but he seemed to have other ideas. And it wasn’t sex.

“Were you serious about including your ex?”

I should’ve known he’d ask about my suggestion in the light of a new day. The only thing was, I wasn’t sure if I’d been completely serious or if all the talk between us about a possible threesome with Andy simply fed the lust between us last night. But that’s not to say I wouldn’t in fact go through with it.

“I think so.” I answered as honestly as I could in the moment.

“You think so,” he parroted, pushing back the bangs that had fallen over my eye. “I’d be willing to do it, but only if you’re completely on board. If you don’t want to, we don’t. End of discussion.”

  “But you want to.”

“I think so.” Now he sounded like me. “I’ve always enjoyed myself in the past with a three-way, but this time would be different.”

“Why?” I craned my neck to look up at him, noticing the corner of his bottom lip disappearing between his teeth and the crease forming between his beautiful eyes.

“Because I’ve never had these kinds of feelings for anyone before. And even though the image of her touching you turns me on, excites me, I don’t know how I’ll really handle her kissing you, tasting parts of you that are mine.”

“I feel the same way. I’m developing a possessiveness over you that I’m sure isn’t healthy. And even though I know Andy would never cross any lines I didn’t approve of first, I’m not sure I even want her to see you naked. Yet…”

“Yet, you think it would turn you on.”

  “Yes.”

“Would you be upset at having me see her naked? Possibly touch her or even kiss her?”

I thought about it for several seconds before answering. “Same answer. It would turn me on and make me insanely jealous all at the same time.”

We lay there in silence for the next couple minutes, and my mind raced, thinking of all the possibilities of what could go wrong if we went through with it. Before anything could be decided, however, I needed to clarify a few points, but his phone rang before I could say anything.

Peeking at the alarm clock on the bedside table, I saw it was seven forty-three, time for us to get out of bed and start the day.

Several errands were on my list to accomplish today as well as a call with Natasha as to when I was coming back to work. With my dad and Brick recovering, there was no reason for me to not go back. I was sure I had a lot waiting for me, and the sooner I started to tackle the backlog, the better.

In his haste to answer, he knocked the device off the table and to the ground. When he shifted to lean over the bed, I moved back to allow him the room. A small moan escaped him, and I wasn’t sure if he was in pain or the sound was one of frustration.

“Hello? … Yeah. I know. … When? … Okay.” He tossed his cell beside him after ending the call.

“Who was that?” I asked, figuring from his curt responses that it had to be someone from the club.

  “Hawke.”

“Really? I thought you two didn’t get along. Why would he be calling you?”

Brick rested against the headboard while I sat next to him, the sheet covering our lower halves.

His eyes drifted toward me. “When did I say I didn’t get along with the nomad?”

“I assumed when you hit him that one time.” He told me about what happened, and if I remembered correctly, the argument had something to do with Maddie when she first came to be with Lincoln. I couldn’t remember all the details, but I do recall Brick telling me that he punched Hawke.

“That was a one-time thing. It doesn’t mean I have a problem with him.”

I shook my head and laughed. “Guys are so weird.”

“Why? Because we let shit go right afterward?”

  “Exactly.”

“You think it would be better if we argued every time we saw each other? How would that benefit the club? Besides, I don’t have an issue with him. Yeah, he runs off at the mouth sometimes and he’s opinionated, but from what I know of him, he’s loyal and would have any of our backs if necessary.”

“When you put it that way.” I let out a squeal of surprise when he grabbed m
e and pulled me on top of him.

“I can put it any way you like.” His mouth curved upward, his tongue peeking out and running over his bottom lip.

As I straddled his lap, the only image in my head was of him ravaging me yet again, but if I had any hope of accomplishing the list of things I had set to do today, I needed to convince him to let me up.

His fingertips slipped back and forth over the soft underside of my breasts, his touch making me squirm, tempting me to reconsider getting out of bed.

“I think we need to get up.”

“We are up.” He thrust his hips beneath me, his thickness pressing against me.

“I have to run some errands and I’m sure you have stuff to do with the club.” I tried to make him see reason, but when he pinched my nipples and thrust upward once more, my next words froze in my throat.

“I’d like to make you come at least one more time before we leave this bed.” His large palm cradled the back of my neck as he drew me closer, his lips hovering over mine. “Is that okay with you?”

How the hell do I say no to that?

  16

“Do you wanna come with me or wait here until I get back?” I asked, worried she wasn’t gonna like either option.

“Are those my only two choices?”

“Seems so.” I leaned against the front door, watching Zoe as she flitted around the kitchen, wiping down the countertops, then washing our glasses. “You know you don’t have to do that.”

She glanced over her shoulder at me. “I don’t mind.” When she wiped out the sink, her hips swaying with the small movements, I couldn’t take my eyes off her. “While you’re gone, I’ll see if my dad can swing by and pick me up. I’d rather tackle my tasks now instead of waiting.”

  “No can do.”

She dropped the dish sponge and spun around, pushing her hair behind her shoulders. “Why?”

“Because all the guys are gonna be at the clubhouse, so you’re gonna have to either come with me or wait here until I get back. Like I said, those are the only two choices.”

“This is getting to be quite a pain in the ass. I don’t like not being able to do what I need to, when I need to do it. How much longer is it going to be like this?” I started to answer but she continued talking. “What’s going to happen when I have to go back to work, which will be any day now? Are you going to drive me to and from? What if you have something to do? Should I just hire someone?”

I pushed off the door and strode toward her, a mixture of amusement and slight irritation twisting my features. Pulling her into me, I clasped my hands behind her back while hers landed on my arms. The heat of her touch made me want to rip off her sundress and fuck her right here on the counter, clubhouse meeting be damned. But I restrained myself.

“And who do you think you’re gonna hire?” I tilted my head and cocked a brow.

“A driver. Or perhaps a bodyguard.” Her lips twitched before she spoke again. “But he’ll have to be young.”

  “Is that right?”

“Yeah. And it wouldn’t hurt if he was easy on the eyes. If someone is going to be my shadow, I think it’s only fair he’s cute.”

I tightened my hold and pulled her impossibly close. She had to crane her neck to look up at me. “The only shadow you’re gonna have is me.”

“You’re more like an eclipse.” She laughed. “So, no to the young, cute bodyguard?”

“Keep it up, and you won’t be goin’ out of this house at all.” I smiled down at her and winked. “In fact, that’s exactly what should happen.” I schooled my expression. “I won’t have to worry about your safety, and you’ll be at my disposal. Anytime I want.”

Seconds of silence passed between us, my face deadpanned and hers twisting into confusion, then shock when I didn’t tell her I was joking.

Zoe tried to shove me back but, of course, couldn’t budge me. “I know you’re not serious about the ‘you’ll be at my disposal’ part, but you better not be serious about keeping me holed up in this house just so you won’t have to worry about my safety.”

  “Why?”

“What do you mean why? I can’t stay locked up here for the foreseeable future. I have a life to get back to.” The irritation in her voice prompted my own, even though our conversation had started off in a joking manner.

“Does that life include me?” The tip of my worry busted free. I didn’t even know I was gonna ask the question, but there wasn’t a damn thing I could do now that the words had left my mouth.

“Of course, it does. Why would you ask me that?”

Good question, man. Why did you ask that?

“Forget I said anything.” I shook my head to get rid of the bombardment of thoughts. There was no way I was gonna spill all my insecure thoughts at her feet.

“Is there something you want to talk about?” Instead of trying to move back, she wrapped her arms around me, stroking my back while she talked. “Once I go back to work, I’m going to be busy, and with your schedule with the club, things might get a little challenging, but I’m willing to put in the work if you are.” Her smile faltered. “You do want to be with me, don’t you? Or do you only feel some sort of obligation toward me since I stayed here with you, helping you while you recovered.” Zoe dropped her hands from behind me, but she couldn’t step back because I was still holding on to her.

“Is that honestly what you think?” How had our seemingly innocent back-and-forth morphed into both of us revealing our uncertainties about us? She lowered her eyes from mine, and I hated every second. “Zo, look at me.” She refused. “Please.” I wasn’t above pleading, especially when I saw the splinter in her unyielding façade. After another few seconds, her gaze finally met mine. “Is that really what you think?” I repeated.

  “No.”

“Good. Because I do want to be with you. There is no doubt in my mind we belong together, even though the world might try to convince us otherwise from time to time. But I’m in it with you.” I leaned down and pressed my lips to hers, inhaling her sweet scent before pulling back. Because I wanted to switch the subject to something not so heavy, I asked, “What kind of stuff do you have to do?”

“Grocery store. Possibly a run to Target. Nothing much. I have to call my boss, too, but I can take care of that when you leave.”

“Okay. Make your call and I’ll be back soon. Then I’ll go with you.”

I unclasped my hands and my arms fell to my sides. Zoe moved back a step and all I wanted to do was pull her close again. But the guys were waiting for me at the club and she had a call to make.

After a fuckin’ kiss that turned my dick to stone, I headed outside to my bike, making a quick adjustment to my raging hard-on before throwing my leg over the impressive steel machine. I grimaced at the slight ache in my thigh, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle.

As I drove out of my driveway and toward the highway, all I could think about was how much I hated leaving Zoe behind. I wasn’t only worried about her every minute of the day, but I missed being with her, even only having left her two minutes prior.

I had it bad, which wasn’t such a good thing.

“Why do you think they haven’t made a move since the shooting?” Tripp’s frustration was heard loud and clear by everyone sitting around the large, wooden table.

“Which fuckin’ shooting?” Ace griped, touching his left side, then the back of his head, even though he was out of the woods and on his way to healing from being shot twice. “There’s a chance they don’t know it was us that killed three of their own.”

“They know. They said something about us always wanting to save someone.” Ryder glanced at Linc before continuing. “They knew we’d come to that girl’s house and that fuckin’ club is planning somethin’. They said there will be four less of us around when they do it.”

“Do what?” Jagger asked, slamming his hand on the table, leaning forward and staring at Marek, as if our leader had the answer.

  “
We don’t know,” I answered. “The fucker was vague. Although if he really thought they were gonna kill us, why not let us in on their plan?”

“Because while they’re stupid, I’m sure they were aware there was a chance you wouldn’t die, and they wouldn’t want the surprise ruined,” Prez gritted, scratching the side of his face. “All this waitin’ around pisses me off. I don’t want them to do anything else, but at the same time, I wish they’d get on with it so we could deal with it and put this shit to bed.”

“Why do we have to wait for them to do anything? Why can’t we retaliate for everything they’ve already done?” Kaden asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.

I didn’t have to glance around the room to know everyone was on edge. It floated through the air like the heaviest fog. Patience wasn’t a strong suit for me, and from the other guys’ body language, it wasn’t for them either.

The faint lines around Marek’s eyes deepened with the stress. “Because we did kill three of ’em, and like Ryder said, I have no doubt the rest of the Reapers know their buddies died at our hands. As long as everyone is being safe, and the women and kids always have a chaperone, we’ll figure out our next move. We’re devising a plan.” He glanced at Stone.

“Care to let us in on it?” Rez spoke, his question a good one.

“When we’re ready to go” was Marek’s only response on the topic. My curiosity didn’t negate the trust I had in his ability to run this club, including making decisions behind the scenes that would affect all of us. He’d tell us when he was ready, like he stated.

Even though I hated to admit it, we were all vulnerable and safety was sometimes fleeting, even with our best efforts, a notion that obviously made me nervous because all I could think about was keeping Zoe out of harm’s way until we were able to end this, whenever that might be.

Prez shifted his gaze to Tripp. “Call your cousins. See when the soonest is they can get here.”

Tripp typed out a quick text, the alert to a response sounding less than a minute later. “Ford said they can be here tomorrow.”
