Darkening Skye (Under Covers Book 1) Page 12

"Did that feel real?" she asked, out breath.

  "No," I said earnestly.

It felt too good to be true. Maybe I lost my mind and I was dreaming the things I wanted the most.

"You are going to make me work for it, aren't you?" she said.

She smiled as if she enjoyed the prospect. If she did love me, she loved the darkness and the complexity. I loved her with all my heart, but I had no experience in allowing anyone close. She was going to have a lot of work if she wanted to get all of me. I picked up the pace and soon we were in my house.

"Let me make you a coffee," I said to dispel the awkwardness.

  "I'm still not drunk."

Her words were a rehash of what she said the first time she came to my house. We replayed that first scene without words until I placed the mug of coffee in her hand and I kept my hands over hers.

"I'm not going to break it this time," she said looking in my eyes. "Whatever you say to me."

"Do you still want to be my babygirl?" I asked.

"If you want that, too, Daddy."

It had been so long since she said the word, I almost forgot the surge of lust it provoked inside me. She wanted to play with Daddy. Daddy was ready to play.

  "Daddy?"

  "Yes, baby?"

"I want to ask you something."

  "Anything you want."

"You've always been so good with me. There's one more thing I need to ask of you."

  "What is it, honey?"

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. It made me shiver with an ominous feeling. There it was, the dream was going to end.

"I know you like what we do…"

Her voice trailed off and the words had the sound of a question. I nodded.

  "Very much."

"But it's not everything you like. I... I want you to teach me the other things you like."

She didn't know what she was asking. The things I liked and almost never dared to enact were too close to her very real and very painful experiences. Bondage and discipline was fun between consenting adults, but she had been in very similar situations without a safety net and with the very real possibility of severe bodily harm or death. I didn't know if I should open the door to that.

"We can talk about it. We're in no hurry, right?" I asked, trying to buy more time.

"I trust you. Anything you want, I want to give you."

Take! Take it all! The beast inside me roared. I looked into her eyes and I knew I would. The responsible adult or maybe the voice of my doubts made me give her another chance to take it back.

"You don't have to prove anything to me."

She cocked her head, looking oddly at me.

"That's not exactly true. I'll have to prove myself to you over and over again, and I'm ok with that. But what I'm asking now doesn't have anything to do with what I have to do. I want you to show me. I need to feel you are able to ask me for what you need."

It made sense in a way. Our times together had been intense and pleasurable, but I had always been the one to give. If we were to have a balanced relationship, I had to trust her enough to ask for what I needed or wanted. I had to trust her with my deepest darkest secrets.

  Perfectly Complicated Book 1

Ken Hunt and Ken Harrington have a deep, disturbing and poorly kept secret. Their six pack abs, their defined biceps and their ability to provide multiple orgasms lead women to believe that they are sex gods. Their social media presence reveals that their chiseled bodies host the souls of hardcore gamers.

The two childhood best friends are living the dream. Their jobs at an up-and-coming PR company, allow them to work hard and play harder. Life seems perfect and their only committed relationship is their tightknit friendship.

Nerd-goddess Barbara ‘Bobbi’ Blackstone enters their life, and their hearts of true nerds beat faster under their bulging pecs.

When the sexual tension threatens an excellent working relationship, they employ a life-hack: a once in a lifetime night of uninhibited sex. A one-night-stand to reset their systems. Will they be able to walk away unscathed? Or will their developing feelings create a yearning that won’t be denied?

  Perfectly Complicated Book 1.5

Ken is a narcissist. He would be the first to admit it. He is tall dark and handsome, but brooding would never be part of the description. He’s smart as a whip, he has a vicious tongue, and he does not suffer fools gladly. The best thing that ever happened to him was to get a job at Cube. The PR agency gave him the opportunity to use his relentless intelligence and his gift of finding the right words, but best of all, they are paying him to spend time with his best friend, go to parties, play video games, and generally have a blast.

Romance doesn’t happen to him. Dating is all fun and games, but at the end of the day, or more likely at the end of some long night, he always goes back to his best friend. People sometimes joke about them acting like an old married couple and he enjoys sprinkling fake clues about a romantic relationship between them. As much as his friend rolls his eyes, they both have fun messing with people’s perceptions. Not to mention that it was totally delectable for both of them when women tried to convert them back to heterosexuality.

From the moment he meets Barbara “Bobbi” Blackstone, his whole world is turned upside down.

  Perfectly Complicated Book 2

The night continues, but in the morning they have to forget it ever happened. As if anyone can have a hot threesome and then go back to “being just friends”!

They try to keep their word, but it’s impossible to go back to friendship without benefits after a perfect night. Jealousy plagues each of them, and finally someone breaks the pact.

Ken and Barbie begin a torrid affair, but their love for the other Ken is too deep to keep it secret from him. Will Ken forgive them when they confess their weakness? Will he join them?

  Perfectly Complicated Book 3

The hardest choice is between the people you love.

Two best friends and the woman they both love are entangled in a spicy ménage, which they have to keep secret from their co-workers, their friends and their families. Their love for each other is passionate and deep, but time comes they realize that they want a normal life.

In order to get their perfect happily ever after, one of them is going to have to be left out.

How will they choose? Who gets the girl?

There are no M/M sex scenes, but the book contains graphic descriptions of sex between consenting adults.

  Complicated Days Book 3.5

In his early forties, Ken Hunt is a cold hearted billionaire with dark sexual desires and a string of beautiful women more than happy to satisfy them. However, the pain of losing the only woman he loved is not soothed by his countless affairs. Losing her to his best friend makes it impossible for him to stay away.

He would always love Ken and Barbie Harrington and they are best friends, although their bright love turns his heart colder day by day. His friends helped him start his business and supported his initiatives with their money, time and experience. They both left their jobs and started working for him. Hunt built an international empire with their help, but nothing helps feel the void in his soul.

As time goes by, Ken Hunt grows distant. His friendship with Ken Harrington was the most he had ever opened up, and when Barbie came along, Hunt had dared to let himself be swept away into an imprudent relationship and he ended up with his heart broken.

Hunt’s only warm and peaceful moments are the ones he spends with his surrogate daughter. He helped raise Billie Harrington, and his feelings fo
r the child grow deeper the more time they spend together. Looking into her eyes, he’d like to wonder if she is his daughter, but her eyes are too much like her father’s to leave him any room to fool himself.

Losing Barbie never stopped hurting, but he came to terms with this fact. He doesn’t expect his heart to start beating for any other woman, but it does. To his horror, she is the last person that should arouse such reactions in him – Ken and Barbie’s daughter.
