“Sean.” She took a deep breath as she felt the impact of the words she was about to say. Her voice was deadly calm. “I promise you, Sean. We’re going to stop them.”

Asher buried his head in her neck and she sighed. There was no other way. This was war.

  Acknowledgements

I have got to acknowledge my insanely understanding editor, Adrienne Hovey. Not only were her feedback and corrections of the highest quality, they were delivered with the hilarious turn of phrase for which I love her. Who gives corrections on comma use with examples like, “This Famine really sucks?”

I also have to thank Cat Lazaroff, another freelance editor and YA author, who has been patient enough to read it ALL and give me excellent story feedback, including a lot of encouragement.

Finally, I have to give huge props to my beta readers, particularly Terri Lewis, whose willingness to use her literary scalpel has honed my stories to a much tighter point.

  About the Author

Rachel E. Fisher is a wife and entrepreneur living and working in sunny South Florida. Most days she enjoys outdoor activities like tennis and going to the beach, but on rare rainy days, she enjoys reading deep science-fiction or young adult anything. She is an admitted vocabulary nerd, and enjoys a well selected turn-of-phrase entirely too much.
