Reckless Little Affair Page 5

“I’ll get you for that tickling, when you least expect it,” I told him playfully and ruffled his hair.

Lucas shot an innocent look up at me. “It wasn’t that bad.”

“Oh, you’ll get what’s coming to you, mark my words,” I chuckled. “But lucky for you, we have plans today, so my revenge will have to wait. What time did you say the wedding was?”

He yawned loudly, shaking his head a bit. “It’s at four.”

I checked my phone. “It’s eleven now. Luckily we got woken up by that call. I could’ve stayed asleep till way too late,” I hopped out from underneath Lucas and got out of bed. “We were pretty preoccupied till late last night,” I winked at him.

He winked and patted himself on the shoulder. “Oh yes we were. I won’t mind if we repeat that tonight either.”

I picked up his sock from the floor and threw it at him. “You’re feeling proud of yourself, huh? Patting yourself on the back,” I laughed. “Not that I’m complaining about your performance last night...,”

Lucas cocked his head to the side with a devilish grin on his face. “Oh, I’m not complaining about yours either Ms. Foster.”

“I’m glad I live next door. This is gonna be the shortest walk of shame known to mankind,” I joked sarcastically as I began putting on the risky red lingerie.

“I think you should call it a walk of glory. Because you look glorious in red.” His eyes hungrily watched me get dressed. “Plus, there’s nothing shameful about what we did last night..even if that red creation made me do the naughtiest of things to you.”

I blushed at his words while at the same time they had the effect of making me tingle in all the right places. He just had an effortless ability of making me crave his touch with the simplest of words. It didn’t take much more than a half-loaded comment. I bit my lip, eyeing his partly-covered naked body.

As if he could have sensed my excitement, he reached his hand out, grabbing mine and then pulled me back into bed with him.

“I think we have enough time for a quick round three, don’t you think,” Lucas murmured as his lips found my neck. He nipped on it and I gasped.

Before I had time to answer, his tongue had darted out, tracing a wet, needy trail from my neck down to my tits. He gently yanked down the lacy bra and sucked my nipple into his mouth. My back arched involuntarily, serving my whole body to him.

“We better keep this lingerie set on to save you some time,” he whispered in a low-tone while his hand wandered down to my panties, rubbing me through the lace. “And I really wanna fuck you in this.”

A whimper escaped my lips. His touch and his dirty talk were making my body run hotter than ever. I could feel the wetness between my legs, begging for him to take me.

Without further delay, Lucas settled between my thighs and pushed my lace panties to the side, exposing me completely. His dick was already rock hard and throbbing, demanding to enter. He grabbed it and rubbed his tip on my center, getting it slick with my juices. I moved my hips up towards him, needing him inside me at the instant. Happily, he obliged and plunged into me with such force that my eyes rolled backwards as his cock filled me completely.

“Is this what you want?” he whispered into my ear as he held still for a moment.

“Y-yes..,” I panted out, my body begging for him to start moving.

“Tell me,” he demanded, keeping still.

I whimpered under him, unable to get the release that my whole body yearned for. “Fuck me, Lucas,” I breathed out.

He let out a primal hiss and immediately began thrusting, delivering long and hard strokes which started sending me over the edge. I had already been so turned on from the dirty talk, that even the slightest amount of stimulation was getting me to the finish line.

Not even a minute in, I exploded around him and my whole body convulsed uncontrollably. Lucas kept going, sliding back and forth as the orgasm rolled over me. When I regained myself, I looked up at him and saw him gritting his teeth.

“You’re making this hard for me,” he grunted and I could tell my orgasm had almost sent him over the edge. He quickened up his pace and I felt the warm, titillating feeling beginning to take over my body again. I whimpered helplessly, unable to control myself.

“Come for me again, baby,” he groaned as he thrusted forcefully. As he squeezed one of my nipples between his fingers, I couldn’t take it any longer. Everything combined was too much. I cried out as the other orgasm pummeled into me like a freight train. My body tensed up for the second time, contracting around him. I could faintly hear him let out a guttural sound as he found his release, filling me up completely.

Sweaty and satisfied, we laid next to each other for a few minutes, catching our breaths. Finally, I rolled onto my stomach and kissed him on the cheek.

“That was amazing...like always. Now, I have to start getting ready for the wedding. I’ll see you in a couple of hours,” I said and smiled, as I got up.

I adjusted my panties and pulled on my trench coat, then grabbed my heels and with a final glimpse, I waved at him and left.

I hurried down the steps and up my own with my heels in one hand and keys in the other. As I opened the door and stepped inside, I was shocked to find my mother standing on the other side of it. Immediately, all blood drained from my legs.

“And where the hell have you been?” she asked, the anger apparent in her voice. Her eyes skimmed me from head to toe and she shook her head slowly in a disapproving fashion. Her blonde hair was pulled tight in a bun, adding to the severely strict look on her face. “It’s noon. Imagine me coming home late last night to find the place empty,” she scoffed.

My brain was working frantically to come up with a plausible explanation, without succeeding. “I was at a friend’s,” I said vaguely.

My mom lifted her eyebrow, looking at me doubtfully. “And why the hell are you wearing a trench coat? It’s like 80 degrees outside.”

I felt my face flush from embarrassment. I could tell she knew she had caught me in a lie. I had no good explanation for my choice of clothing.

“Save the explanation. We both know it’ll be another lie,” she remarked before I had the chance to answer. Her eyes were now staring at me with more intensity, as if to spot every single detail that could reveal my whereabouts last night. They fixated on my neckline, then down to the heels that I was grasping in my hand before finally coming back up to my face. “Who is it?”

“What do you mean?” I glanced down at my chest and noticed a piece of red, lace fabric peeking out from underneath the coat. Why hadn’t I checked myself in the mirror?

“You know what I mean. I asked you, who is it? Who have you been seeing? Who did you spend the night with?” she demanded now, her tone more forceful.

I didn’t want to have this conversation with her, especially considering how badly the last one had gone.

“Mom, I’m 22 years old. It’s none of your business who I spend my nights with,” I said and was immediately filled with regret. Her face turned red and angry and I bit my lip in response.

Had I just made things worse?

“I thought you knew better than this,” she spat out. “And as long as you live under my roof, it is my business.”

Memories of all those times my mother had done wrong to me seemed to fill my brain. How could she feel like I wasn’t allowed to live my life the way I wanted to? It wasn’t like I was repeating any of her mistakes. I’d made the right choices all my life and for once when I finally really liked someone and got involved with them, she felt entitled to lecture me about it, not knowing anything about the situation. What Lucas and I had was good and a real relationship with mutual respect.

I was overcome with such rage that I’d never felt before in my entire life. A cruel laugh escaped my lips. “Your roof? This was Harvey’s house before you got lucky. And by the way, he says hi. I had a nice time with him yesterday. No wonder he left you because you’re absolutely crazy. I can’t imagine anyone wantin
g to stay with you.”

Before I had a chance to comprehend what was happening, my mom stepped in and delivered a sharp slap on my cheek. Automatically, I lifted my hand up to my face. My cheek stung and felt hot against my palm.

“When I get back, I want you out. You have until then to pack your stuff and leave,” she said coolly. “You’re a disgrace. If you want to continue doing this,” she gestured at my attire, “it won’t be happening here. I didn’t raise my daughter to be sleeping around and disrespecting her own mother like this.”

“But I’m not sleeping around!” I shouted at her. “And even if I was, as an adult, it’s my decision what I choose to do with my body.” With a last look at her, I turned on my heels and strutted to my room.

A short moment later, I heard the front door slam, signalling that she had left.

I felt so angry, with hot white rage filling every part of my brain. She had no authority to tell me who I could and could not see.

I knew I had crossed the line by calling her crazy and saying that was why Harvey had left. I’d lost my cool. A tinge of regret stung my chest—there was no denying that I’d crossed the line. But she had been out of bounds too.

At least I was pretty sure she hadn’t really thrown me out. It was her way of forcing me to do exactly what she wanted, like it had always been. The first time she had threatened to throw me out had been when I’d been thirteen. That alone was a testament to her motherly love.

I shook my head in disbelief. As much as I hated her at times, at the end of the day, she was still my mother. I didn't want us to fall apart. I’d just have to apologize to her and explain the situation in a calm and cool manner.

I stripped out of my clothes and headed to the shower. Right now, I had a wedding to get ready for.

  Chapter 8

  Lucas.

I checked my reflection in the mirror one last time. Dressed in a navy blue tuxedo with my hair two inches shorter, I definitely looked the part. I’d had enough time to go to the barber—my hair had desperately needed a trim. Now, it was the length that I preferred the most: instead of coming all the way down to my jawline, it now ended mid-ear, with a full, tousled effect. I finished my look by folding a light blue pocket square and tucking it into the pocket before stepping outside and walking up to Amelia’s door.

I knocked on her door and a few seconds later it opened. My jaw dropped as soon as my eyes made contact with her: she was dressed in a long, pewter blue chiffon dress with a slit on the other side. Her dark brown hair was pulled back into a half ponytail, letting her grey eyes and freckles take the center stage.

“You look absolutely stunning,” I gasped and slid my hand around her waist, delivering a soft kiss to her rosy lips.

“Thank you,” Amelia smiled and closed the door. I held out my arm, helping her down the steps. She had strappy silver heels on and once she had turned, I saw the open back of her dress. She definitely looked the part as well.

“Great minds think alike, huh?” she grinned, pointing at my pocket square. The color was almost an exact match to her dress.

I nodded happily. “So, I thought this special occasion called for a special mode of transportation. I booked us a chauffeur. At first I thought of driving but then remembered the open bar and that Xavier stocked up on my favorite gin,” I grinned.

She shot me a puzzled look. “I didn’t even know you had a car.”

I shrugged and took her hand to mine, pulling her towards the curb. “Well, I don’t usually drive. Parking is a bitch and I really like riding my bike. But I’m a little boy when it comes to nice cars. I promise to take you out on it one day.”

She beamed at my words. Almost instantly, a sleek, black Rolls Royce pulled over in front of us. Her mouth opened in shock as I got the door for her and then hurried to the other side to get in.

As the car took off, Amelia turned to me.

“So, there’s something I need to tell you about. It’s my mom,” she grimaced and went on to tell the story of their fight earlier today as I listened to her intently.

“But you think she didn’t really mean it when she told you to get out?”

She shook her head. “She’s been threatening me with that for as long as I can remember. Every time I wanted to do something that she didn’t like, such as become an architect, she would throw a fit and say that exact same thing. So, I have some hope since she came around to the idea of me pursuing architecture after all.”

“We’ll just have to be more careful when she’s around. If you think that’s for the best.”

“I do. She has this thing against men in general. And because of that she’s never allowed me to date—not that there ever was anyone interested,” she chuckled sarcastically. “It’s really weird because she still likes the attention, and even tried to go after you.”

“That is odd. And about no one ever being interested in you, it’s their loss,” I squeezed her hand and placed a soft kiss on her lips. “I’m glad I have you all to myself.”

We rode the second half in silence but couldn’t seem to keep our eyes off each other. Amelia looked so beautiful in her dress which accentuated every curve nicely, bringing out her perfect features. I placed my hand on her thigh that had been exposed by the slit and gave it a squeeze. She fluttered her eyelashes and blushed.

Finally, we reached our destination and got out of the car. Amelia turned to look at me with a surprised expression on her face.

“They’re getting married at the Plaza?”

“Yup. I told you Xavier likes lavish things,” I chuckled as I led her inside.

I made sure Amelia had a nice spot with some of Lily’s friends and headed out to meet Xavier. He was jittery and nervous but I managed to calm him down. Once the clock hit four, we took our positions and the ceremony began.

As beautiful as the nuptials were, I couldn’t help but scan my eyes through the crowd to find Amelia sitting there as beautiful as ever. The vows were exchanged and the bride and groom kissed. I walked back down from the altar, as the orchestra started playing. As much as there was going on around me, I only had eyes for Amelia who I had spotted from the other side of the room.

“That was so beautiful,” she said smiling, looking over to the other side of the large room at Lily. She and Xavier were talking with their parents, both looking happier than ever.

“It really was. Almost a match to your beauty but not quite,” I said and kissed her. We headed on towards the tables and took our places. Soon enough everyone was seated for the reception. The food was absolutely delicious, complemented with champagne and wine. It was my turn to deliver my speech just before the cake was cut. I managed to get a great response from the audience and everyone seemed to love the jokes that I told about Xavier’s antics.

With everyone well-fed and happy, the party continued on to the dance floor. After the bride and groom had their first dance, most couples joined them. I took Amelia by her hand and pulled her onto the floor. I felt loose from the drinks and happy from the environment: the day had been filled with love and laughter.

“I meant to tell you,” I whispered in her ear. “Xavier and Lily got us a room here.”

Amelia’s eyes lit up and her lips twisted into a cheeky grin. “I can’t wait for tonight.”

As the night went on, the guests started getting wilder and the music changed to accommodate that. Amelia and I were lost in our own bubble, dancing to the music. My hands traveled down to the small of her back and I pulled her closer to me, feeling her soft body against mine. She closed her eyes as I pressed my lips onto hers, savoring the feeling. Her lips opened slightly and I happily accepted the invitation, sliding my tongue into her mouth. She tasted sweet, like strawberries and cream. Her hands gripped on my hair and I could feel her fingers plunging in it.

“Amelia?” I heard a man’s voice call her name. We broke apart, flustered and when I glanced at her, I noticed she was frantically trying to fix her hair. A familiar looking guy was standing ne
xt to us.

“Harvey? What are you doing here?” she asked, half-avoiding Harvey’s eyes with her cheeks crimson.

“I know Lily’s father from business,” he said. His eyes shifted between the two of us, his expression a mixture of confusement and displeasure. “Your mother came to see me today,” Harvey turned to face Amelia again. “She was really upset. She told me you two had a fight, about you not acting like your usual self and getting distracted by some guy,” he blurted out.

Amelia grimaced. “She has created this false picture in her head about...the situation.”

Harvey lifted his eyebrows quizzically. “She said you’ve been spending nights away from home, god knows where.”

Suddenly, his eyes were back on me, looking at me intently. Soon after, the realization gleamed in them. “I was sure that I knew you from somewhere..aren’t you the guy who lived next door?” His voice seemed to get louder.

Before I had a chance to reply, he turned to Amelia. “Is this the guy you’ve been spending nights with?” Harvey’s face was red with anger and he was clearly agitated. Amelia was opening and closing her mouth but not a sound came out.

“Hi sir— ” I began but he cut me off.

“Have you been lusting after her all these years?” he hissed at me.

I was so stunned by his words, I couldn’t figure anything to say. It was as if my worst nightmare was becoming a reality right in front of my eyes. I just stood there, staring at him with Amelia by my side, feeling like the biggest idiot ever.

“Amelia, what are you doing with him? He’s obviously a pervert,” he remarked loudly. “He’s not good for you. He is using you and distracting you from what’s important. This guy must be what...in his mid-thirties and you are only 22 years old! You should be with someone your own age!” Harvey said exasperatedly.

“Sir, it’s not like that,” I assured him but he disregarded me with his hand.

“You’ve left me no choice but to tell your mother that it’s him. We’re both very disappointed. I thought you knew better than this,” he finished and strutted off.
