A NOTE ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hannah Rothschild is a writer, filmmaker and company director. Her biography of Pannonica Rothschild, The Baroness, was published in 2012. Her first novel, The Improbability of Love, won the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for best comic novel and was shortlisted for the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction. She writes for magazines and newspapers including The Times, The New York Times, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair. Her documentary features have been broadcast on major networks and at film festivals. She also serves as a director for a quoted investment trust. In 2018 she was made a CBE for services to the arts and to philanthropy. She lives in London with her three daughters.
