DOUBLE TREBLE (A TWIN ROCKSTAR ROMANCE) Page 3

by Nikki Wild

We all turned in unison.

The bassist was still playing, but she was looking at us with a mild flush to her face. That flush was tempered with a sly little smile.

  Good God, I groaned inwardly.

Seven words, and I’m hard as stone.

Trevor jumped away from the sound panel. He’d been leaning on an intercom button for… how long?

  “Shit,” he sheepishly smiled.

My brother and I shook our heads at him, and then briefly glanced at each other. This girl was the best thing that could have happened to us right now and we couldn’t fuck this up. If she could hold this level of quality up through the rest of the set, then we had our temporary bassist.

With the rumors about some big label suits showing up at one of our upcoming shows, the timing couldn’t possibly have been better.

Aiden’s lips briefly curled into a subtle smirk. I knew that look in his eyes. He was always the predator, on the prowl. His blatant disregard for women left a long shadow of chicks burned up and cast aside.

Sometimes, when we were younger, I had tried to help one or two of the girls after he was done. Sure, it was unhealthy to chase chicks that only wanted you because your identical twin did a number on them.

Maybe that’s why I did it… We all have our vices.

I was terribly compassionate in ways that Aiden never was; he was the warrior and I was the healer. It always stung to see how these girls looked when his little whirlwind moved on, and if I could help them just a little bit, and have some fun in the meantime…

But that wasn’t going to happen this time. This poor girl didn’t know what she was getting herself into by playing along. Any attention to Aiden only encouraged his behavior. I was determined that I’d shield her from him in any way that I could.

Besides. It was time that I didn’t stand in his shadow any longer. No more sniffing around for scraps after he’d had his shot. No more taking the girl out of the pair that he’d already passed on.

  This one was mine.

Aiden’s smirk grew. No words needed to be exchanged between us.

  He wanted her.

  I wanted her.

  May the best man win.

  Phoenix

Plenty of women had a crush on the twins.

Not many of them had gotten this close.

I’d been put under the spotlight and inspected like a piece of musically talented meat, and there was no way I could forget what I’d heard them say over the intercom…

After I came out from the sound booth, the band introduced themselves. They were pretty much exactly what I expected out of each of them, given that I followed their exploits online.

Trevor Stills was a nutcase. He was the punk renegade of the group, but he had such a big heart that it was hard to line it up with the aggressive exterior. He was pretty cavalier with a guitar in his hands, almost aloofly playing for most of the set. It was a good balance for the insane drummer that he was always palling around with…

Carter Talbot threw me for a loop. I expected the sinister drum kit master with the drooping dreads and the maniacal laugh to be a lot more chaotic. In person, he was far more subdued; he came off as calm and collected, with a piercing gaze and a surprising depth. It was interesting to see how Trevor and Carter basically flipped personalities once they were out of the spotlight.

  The Carpenter Twins, however…

Dylan Carpenter was a hot, towering gift to women – broad shoulders, hulking arms, and all. With a bohemian kind of energy to him, he came off as a careful listener who knew how to have some serious fun. But when he flashed that sexy, endearing smile, there was something in his expression that just soaked panties. Not to mention how you could get lost in those serene, compassionate eyes for hours…

His twin brother was a carbon copy in the looks department with an identically large, rock-hard physique. But where Aiden Carpenter differed was in his presence. He lacked the sweet, sensitive sexiness of his brother. Aiden’s lips curled not into a sensitive grin but a predatory smile. With the same eyes, they were somehow darker, filled with a burning fire that threatened to draw you in and sear you with a glance.

  Dylan was stable and loving.

  Aiden was fleeting and feral.

I was taken aback at how the two of them looked at me. Even if I tried to play off what I’d heard over my headphones, I could have maybe written it off as a joke between bandmates…

  But I knew their reputation.

I’d heard all the stories about what happened in those after parties.

And it was clear, given how they both gave me their undivided attention, that they were at least passingly into me. I was a conquest to be had during the two weeks the band had left before the tour was over.

I was not just a bandmate to consider or a girl to bring to the back and fuck.

In their eyes, I was both.

As we practiced the set together, I sensed them both watching me. Even without having to look over at them, I could feel their intense, collective attention focusing on me.

  Part of me was uncomfortable.

But that wasn’t the part between my thighs, betraying me with every last drop of moisture while I’d tried to focus on playing instead of the two hot twins…

Because goddammit, I wanted them too.

I never dreamed that I’d get anywhere near them, but holy shit, the pictures didn’t do them justice. They were both way hotter in person…

It made it hard to practice with them.

It was going to take a miracle to get through the set. I’d called in sick for my crap cashier job and spent every waking minute of the last two days practicing until my fingers were numb in preparation.

It helped that I had a huge head start. For all his apparent faults, Alex had written some killer bass lines, and I’d already been practicing most of them for half a year because they were just that damned fun.

While the twins openly tore my clothes off with their eyes, and Trevor mostly ignored me during the set, Carter had been the one to properly study me. He was the obvious voice of reason here, and I had the feeling that he was the only one taking this seriously.

Well, besides Jeremy, who had a very hands-off approach to the practice. He kept popping in and out every little while, liking what he was seeing and expecting us to just work it out.

But then practice was over and I got the nods from everyone. Even Carter looked impressed. I obviously had some more work to do, but my playing was arguably a good fit for now.

Was I ready to play onstage with them?

  That was a different story…

It was when we were breaking down our equipment that Trevor suddenly piped up. “You know what we should do?” He suddenly piped up between gulps of a citrusy energy drink.

“What’s that?” I dared to ask.

  “Team-building!”

Aidan glanced up curiously, and our gazes accidentally met. His lips didn’t move, but the devil in his eyes smirked hungrily.

“What do you suggest?” Dylan asked, his shirtless, rugged body dripping with water. He’d made sure to rip it off at first opportunity, and I was surprised that Aiden didn’t follow suit. Broad and chiseled, Dylan was handsome as all hell with that shirt off.

And I figured Aiden was just the same…

“Grub?” Trevor smiled, casting a strange, amused look over at me. “Nothing like breakin’ bread to bring a band together.”

Carter followed Trevor’s gaze. “Not a bad idea. I’m always fucking starving after a drum session. Guys?”

  I gulped, feeling tension rise.

It’s just dinner with the band. But why does the thought of food with these two send shivers down my spine?

“You alright there?” Dylan tilted his head, a slight smile on his lips.

I blinked, snapping myself out of it. He sounded concerned… wait, no, he was lifting the corner of his lips into a half-smile now.

  Fuck.

He knows exactly what kind of effect he has
on me.

Judging by the hungry look in Aiden’s glance, I figured that they both did.

“Yeah,” I replied, shaking my head. Clearing it of them. “Grub. Grub sounds good. Where do you wanna go?”

The twins shared a quick look.

  Dylan replied: “The usual spot?”

I crossed my arms. “You guys can’t have been in town more than a few days. You have a usual spot?”

“First thing you do in a new town is scope out the food,” Trevor laughed. “Gotta get the best spots for grub, yeah? And since we don’t have time to try everything, once you find something good…”

My eyes accidentally slid over to the twins, and I swallowed nervously. They were a pair of wolves, and they were staring at me with a hungry look.

Ten minutes later, we were piled up in the van. Carter drove, and I kicked it in the passenger seat while Trevor, Dylan, and Aidan sat behind us on makeshift seating.

Aidan wound up behind Carter, so he had a direct line of sight for anytime that I dared to turn around.

We blared punk music on CDs from the heart-pumping discographies of our betters – The Vandals, The Clash, The Sex Pistols. Even Black Flag and Bad Religion made the rounds in the band van as we paid service to our gods.

After a couple of songs, we pulled up to their diner of choice for the last couple of nights – a greasy spoon near the interstate. As they told me, the band had seen a few of these out and about on the road, but hadn’t tried it until landing here in town.

  “Blackwood Burger, huh?” I asked.

“Yeah, you got a problem with fat, oily cheeseburgers?” Dylan bounced up, staring me down with a grin. “You’re not vegan or something, right?”

My eyes narrowed. “Of course not.”

  “Sweet. Then let’s eat.”

The five of us wandered inside the restaurant, hungry from a solid studio session. We all ordered their signature value meal (ten points if you guess what they call it) and piled into a booth, ready to chow down.

“Not bad,” I grinned after a few solid bites out of the thick, cheesy burger.

  “I know, right?!” Trevor chuckled.

Carter glanced down at his in irritation.

“Let me guess,” Aiden glanced over his shoulder, peering down at his greasy burger with its single missing bite. “They left the tomatoes–”

“They left the tomatoes on, yes.”

I climbed out of our side and let him take his tray back to the counter. Once he was out of earshot, Trevor and Dylan tried to stifle their snickering under their breaths.

  “What?” I asked, confused.

“Carter is cursed with restaurants,” Aiden filled me in. “We think he pissed off a fry cook gypsy, somewhere down the line. No matter where he goes, they always fuck up his order.”

I nodded thoughtfully. “Well, if I had to pick any curse to deal with…”

Dylan leaned a little closer to me. “I’ve watched the guy order a six-pack of nuggets and get handed a goddamn turkey wrap. He’s a glitch in the goddamn Matrix.”

“Remember the time he just wanted a medium Sprite?” Trevor piped in.

  Dylan threw his head back.

“Yeah! And what did they give him?”

The guitarist covered his snicker with a hand. “They brought him a fucking vanilla milkshake! How? How does that even happen?”

We were still laughing hard when Carter finally came back, thoroughly disgruntled. He glanced between us, and a quietly amused Aidan, before shaking his head.

  “You guys are assholes.”

  Naturally, we only laughed harder.

I scooted over and let him take his seat, which only put me directly across from Aiden. Of course, I didn’t notice that until I’d wiped the last tear from my eye…

Carter took another first bite. He seemed satisfied with that, so we all went back to eating dinner without complaint.

While the rest of them started chatting, picking each other’s brains over something or other, I began to slowly zone out. My eyes trailed to the window, where I gazed out into the dark night.

  It had started drizzling.

The rain was always so beautiful to me. I always loved it when it rained, especially when it left big, nice, fat raindrops pooling against the glass.

While I continued munching on my greasy burger, I stared out the glass as the minutes rolled past. Of course, it was too overcast with the cloud cover for the moon, but I kept my eyes open for it anyway.

  After a while, I felt a nudge.

“Huh?” I asked, snapped from my thoughts. Everyone’s food was long finished – mine too – and they were all looking at me kind of funnily.

“I was saying we should probably get a move on,” Carter told me. “We’ll need our rest for your first big show tomorrow night.”

“Right,” I nodded. “Yeah. Good call.”

It was passing ten o’clock. The night was young, but I knew I needed to stock up on the slumber.

It’d be nice to get a few minutes where my brain wasn’t betraying me, making me think about the twins. They weren’t being very covert about their feelings towards me, and while they were both somehow way hotter in person… they had a reputation.

Besides, there was no reason to rock the boat. We hadn’t even played a show together. The last thing I needed was to let them get to me…

  I didn’t need the distraction.

It’s better to not grow feelings on the road, I thought to myself with hardening conviction.

Aidan and Dylan had been distracting, but that’s all that they were. A distraction.

I don’t have the time or patience.

Just keep it simple. Clean. Keep your head down and play. Even if this is only temporary, it could be the break I’ve been praying for…

But as my head hit the pillow an hour later, after their van was packed up and ready to go for the following night, I found myself less than convinced.

My brain had gone traitorous, swimming in thoughts of Dylan and Aidan Carpenter…

  Phoenix

You know how dreams tend to start you right in the middle?

Oh, I was in the middle all right.

Right between two hard, amazing bodies.

The moment my mind finally drifted off, relieving me of the tension of those two sex idols, I was instantly put smack-dab in the sexiest fucking situation my brain could possibly dream up.

They leered at me hungrily, their hands wandering up my clothes. My back was to the wall as one twin nipped my neck, his hand gliding up my cheek to hold my head.

The other twin was dropping to his knees and lifting my shirt, kissing along my warm, exposed skin.

They were whispering hungry promises in my ears as their wandering hands began to scratch at my skin. I knew that what they were going to bring separately would be intense and magical.

  But together…

With a flick, my belt was unclasping in a pair of frantic hands. My shorts were tugged down my thighs while a face pushed against my panties, putting pressure just where I needed it most.

“You smell so good,” the twin grunted as he bit at the lining of my panties, tugging it to a quick, light snap.

“Eyes up here,” the other commanded, guiding my face back towards him. I couldn’t tell them apart before, but those eyes were all fire and passion.

  Had to be Aiden…

His lips came down hard against mine, and I buckled lightly against the wall.

  “Take me,” I whispered.

  “Again,” he commanded.

  “Take me…”

  “Louder,” the one below purred.

Maybe I’d mixed them up anyway?

  “Take me,” I gasped loudly.

My lungs were on fucking fire, and my core burned with need. I had to be touched. I had to be dominated.

And I knew the men were up for the job…

It was a blur how quickly they ripped my clothes off and tossed me to a bed that wasn’t there a moment
before. We were in a different room now, my dream catapulting us towards some dark, passionate sex den.

  Lit candles lined the walls.

Everything from the drapes to the bedding was immersed in deep, passionate red and rich, seductive purple.

The twins were in front of me now, standing bare and proud. I couldn’t imagine how any man could possibly be that sculpted, that masculine, that hung…

Because I could totally see their long, swinging dicks. Hard and in charge, their thick, impressive cocks would never fit inside me.

There is no other way to describe what they did next better than the word descend.

The twins descended upon me, a combined force of intense pleasure that was bearing down upon my frightened but allured naked body.

  “Take me,” I repeated.

  And then they did.

I’d lost track of who was who. If it really mattered, I couldn’t honestly tell.

My dream put me watching the action from outside myself. While they knelt on the bed, I was being held up on my back between the two of them like a connecting line. My spine was lightly curved while the twin at my hips held my ass, and the other at my face held my shoulders.

I was held in mid-air between them as one thrust deep between my thighs, which were wrapped around his waist. The other dominated my throat with his hard cock, sliding impossibly deep again and again.

My body was writhing with pleasure, my breathing hard and drenched with passion. Both brothers were bent over my suspended body, hungrily focused entirely on me.

Soon, I was on all fours between them. One was thunderously wrecking my pussy from behind, while the other was stroking my hair as I hungrily sucked down his hard cock.

None of us were saying a word. We weren’t even people anymore – I was their tool, and they were mine.

We were a perfect melody of bodies grinding together, our worlds colliding again and again. The sheets were slick with our sweat, our groans a beautiful chorus of satisfied liberation.

Suddenly, I was straddling one twin, a hungry and primal mess beneath me. His fingernails pricked at my skin with every clasp of my flesh. He took my ass in two handfuls, forcing me to crash down around his cock harder and harder, and I felt those nails bite in and give me a new kind of mental release.
